I had medium well RIB EYE, 1738 on ice and a house Gold Label cigar. Hands down the best experience i ever had at a cigar club. It’s quiet, and perfectly lit. The air purifiers are perfect, everyone smokes at their table yet it doesn’t smell like smoke inside. The hospitality is knowledgeable, helpful and polite. I’m looking forward to my next visit.

I've been to Macanudo a few times more and enjoy it more each time. This particular Friday evening was a spontaneous visit with a girlfriend. We sat at the classic wraparound bar. The music was great! The only issue we had was upon entering the hostess told us there was a $40 minimum. That was very off putting since she did not say that to the men who entered behind us. The menu states the minimum and pointing it out to us was a bit offensive. We're on the UES & expect one drink to be $20. Aside from that encounter the vibes were good and I would return for sure.

Came this past Saturday late evening—didn’t have reservations but they had two seats at the bar! Has a full bar and decent selection of cigars but mostly focused on CAO cigars. Service was great—bartenders were friendly and attentive. Such an amazing ventilation system here!! This place has more of a restaurant feel, lots of tables, versus lounge/sofa chairs.

There are some places you remember being there before. Something you had that was really enjoyable. Besides the cigars, this place had one of the best deserts I ever had. The signature white chocolate truffle they serve is worth going there. But don't tell too many since it can get full and you won't be able to get a table without a reservation. I guess I got lucky that night. A good flavorful cigar, a good sipping bourbon, and the white chocolate truffle in a great atmosphere. What an experience. Staff is all friendly and pleasant. You never know who you might run into there, too. Next time, I have to try the food.

Old school Cigar Lounge. Their menus are extensive. Their bar and humidor are very well stocked. Service is attentive and knowledgeable. The Cocktails were well made and customized to your choice of spirit. Loved the Manhattan. The Calamari, wings and sliders were excellent as were the Potato Skins. They carry a number of rare spirits and Cigars. Cigars are carried in different sizes so you can choose based on the time you want to spend. Excellent place to entertain clients and guests who like Cigars.

I have to say I was treated with the bum's rush I understand you're a super club and you have Is ultimately great cigars. I went in there trying to price cigars taking a look Person agreed with me Was very cold and condescending. I know fire chiefs I know Plumbers construction workers Financial analysts That would spend a ton of money I'm 100% completely turned off the way I was treated You ever hear the old saying You get more with honey than you do with vinegar.I Been smoking cigars since I'm 28 years old Macanudo was one of my favorites Ever ever suggestion place the way I was treated today ever My money is good everywhere and the beast spoken to like I was a piece of s and we made me feel Worse

This Cigar Club is amazing! One of my favorite places in the city. The service is incredible, the food is phenomenal, the atmosphere is great! They have a magician on Thursdays that is really really good. If you want a relaxing place to have a cigar and meet wonderful people than this is the place to go. I first discovered this venue while attending a smoking competition. I’ve been hooked since.

This is an exceptional cigar lounge in mid town. I have been coming here for over a decade and have always enjoyed a great smoke and good company in a wonderfully decorated cigar lounge. Club Macanudo is an elegant oasis nestled in the heart of New York’s Upper East Side. It has been highlighted by the Food Network, USA Today, and Time Out New York, among others. Outfitted with rich mahogany furniture, buttery-soft leather chairs and comfortable sofas, Club Macanudo is the ideal place to conduct business, enjoy a romantic evening for two, or catch up during a stylishly casual night out with friends. Complete with a state-of-the-art ventilation system, Club Macanudo offers the perfect environment for smokers and non-smokers. Club Macanudo consistently offers you a warm, welcoming atmosphere, an attentive staff and a connoisseur’s selection of food, drink and cigars. Dress Code: Club Macanudo requires gentlemen to wear collared shirts. Tee shirts, athletic attire/sneakers, shorts and flip flops are strictly prohibited. The staff of Club Macanudo reserves the right to deny entrance to any patron who does not meet the requirements of our dress code.

Although the only food item I tried was the Calamari, of which was good, many members ordered food but I cannot give much info on eats. Ventilation is pretty good. It's never stuffy but as with any cigar related establishment, the cigar smoke will go home with you. It's not very loud and you can hear your friend speak sitting across from you. Staff is very attentive and professional.

A visit to New York is never complete without spending an evening in Club Macanudo One of the few places in NY, which still retains an old world charm. Extensive collection of whiskies and cigars. Cutting fees apply, if you bring your own personal cigar. Emily took very good care of us. Not only she convinced the Chef to modify the sandwich options in the menu and make mine a tasty vegetarian one BUT also had great recommendations on what was best at offer Met Habib, the super friendly manager and we had a few interesting conversations with him My friend had got along a nice @cubancigar, the Partagas P2 series which we enjoyed with our Hoyos and Islay whiskies

Not bad at all! Thos is a cigar lounge where males only have to spend a minimum of forty dollars on cigars and drinks, while females are not required to follow this mandatory.

Excellent cigar spot. Came here with a group of 15-20 guys for a birthday. Service was excellent, cost was around $100 a head for a few drinks, a cigar for some of us, and some light apps.

Club Macanudo is a great place to sit, relax, and spend some time with friends. It is a great way to end an evening. Cigar selection is VERY good. While a bit pricey, you're really paying for the AWESOME location and premium service you receive. Seating includes couches, table service, or bar seating. If you want to impress your guests, definitely stop by Club Macanudo.

Went there Tuesday night with my son and 2 friends who are members there and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere is incredible and the food was delicious. To be able to enjoy a great cigar along with great food and drinks is like a throwback to another time. I highly recommend this fine establishment.

Wish there were more places like this especially outside of nyc!! Wasn't as "stuffy" as I thought it would be with a bunch of suits standing around smoking cigars. Then again there aren't too many suits post covid. Went on a Wednesday around 7pm. Great vibe i must say! Service was very good. They definitely cater to their clients. Cigars were also very good I even got one to go for the weekend. Had a big screen to watch the game. Wasn't crowded at all. Was a great experience for my 1st time there. Awesome ventilation system I must say so don't worry about choking on cigar smoke. Would have given 5 stars but Rev Al Sharpton was there & that left a bad taste in my mouth. He was sitting in the corner looking very oppressed in an upscale cigar bar in his $2k suit.

We had ribeye steaks, a bottle of Chateau nuf du Pape, and smoked Cohibas right at the table. It was an epic night with old-school New York style. Club Macanudo is definitely one of my regular visits when I'm in town... it has been for years. I recommend trying their Old Fashioned or Manhattan before you even look at a menu.

Was looking forward to this lounge but found it to be lacking. There is nothing special about this lounge, just your ordinary lounge. It's comfortable but needs better ventilation(coming front guy that smokes 2-3 cigars a day). The service was not great. Known your gage sizes, I was passed off a 54 gage when I asked for a 60. The waitress seemed to know right away after I questioned her about it 🤔. Just not the best experience with our group.

My partner Erik really enjoys a quality cigar. We were in town for the week for a real estate conference and decided to stop in here for drinks, cigars, and strawberry cheesecake. This place does not disappoint. There are cigar lockers if you are a member who wants to store your cigars. The service is top notch. The location is perfect, and ambience is dark & moody and lovely. You have the choice to sit at a couch or a table. I would recommend this place to anyone in New York or Aspen who enjoys a good cigar and wants the convenience of food, drinks, and ambience to accompany it.

Conceptually, a cool spot. But once you add the $40 fee, taste the mediocre drinks, and experience the terrible service it becomes a basic spot at best. If you find yourself here, get the bacon and make sure to ask for the ice rocks. Don’t order an old fashioned with an expensive bourbon or rye, you will be disappointed. Even if you order a high-end whiskey they will serve it in a watery tiny ice cubes. Train your bartenders on how to curate a classic cocktail, and train your staff to check on tables that are going to consume over $700 in one sitting. Then you might be worth your price tag. Glad I went, but I don’t think I would be coming back.

Exceptional cigar lounge. Team members working there truly care and the general manager is on the floor working alongside, a great spot and a must go if you are in NYC.

Must spend $40 a person and $20 of that has to be in smokes. We came with 4 people and only 2 people smoked. We were forced to purchase extra cigars

This is the best cigar lounge and restaurant on the upper east side. The atmosphere is great and the facility is immaculate. Highly recommended.

Despite it looking like a very fancy, suits only type place, it was pretty laid back and chill with business casual being the norm so u can leave the blazer at home. The place has its cost like a 20 mandatory cigar purchase so you might as well buy the cigars then bringing your own. The drinks were ehh but the patron margarita I really like. The food were also ehhh but that being said, what makes it a 5 star is the atmosphere and the service. Oh man the service was Michelin grade A+ service. Overall, the place meets it suppose to do, meet up with life long friends over a couple of cigars.

Seven years later, it's still the best steak I've ever had. My mom, who joined me for the first time, agrees. The service was excellent, much better than the last time I visited. The only thing negative I might say is, despite the strict dress code (which I remembered and had to purchase clothes to prepare for, coming from 5 hours away where we dont dress up often) there were many patrons wearing sneakers, blue jeans, and even t-shirts and hoodies! I don't know if they're well known and get special privileges, or if the dress code isn't as strictly upheld as it used to be, but for the people who come from farther away it might be best to update the policy publicly if it has changed or uphold the policy so that the rest of us don't feel as if we've gone through extra trouble for no reason. That was a minor thing though, and the rest of our visit was simply excellent. I highly recommend, if you visit, to get the ribeye :) You won't regret it!

I love this bar!! I hope to return very soon. A friend of mine recommended this place to me to visit for my 40th birthday and it did not disappoint. I only stayed for a few drinks and a cigar but it was well worth it. The cigar selection is top of the line. I highly recommend checking out Club Macanudo. Thank you for taking care of me during my visit. Bes of luck.

My overall grade for Club Macanudo is: A+ You may have seen my review of Biggs Mansion Chicago. Club Macanudo has a similar vibe, but one has to call and make a reservation. I emailed them asking for a reservation, but never got a reply. Upon calling them, they were very friendly and gave me my requested time. I asked for a table for dinner & a cigar. At the door they quickly had my reservation and I was shown to my table. The club itself feels great and nostalgic. Old cigar art on the walls and everyone is eating, drinking and smoking cigars enjoying themselves. Their menu is fantastic and while I didn't try their steaks, I had a couple of appetizers for my dinner. Lobster bisque and lobster Mac & Cheese. Both appetizers were very good. The bisque was better in my opinion, only because the Mac & Cheese lacked a tiny bit of flavor. The lobster in the dish was huge and did not disappoint. It is a very large portion - please order this for sharing with the table. I left quite a bit - but didn't leave any lobster. Kelly was my server and while they were out of the first 2 bottles of champagne that I ordered, the 3rd try was the charm and she recovered nicely. While Kelly helped me navigate the menu nicely, she also was able to help me pick out a post-dinner cigar based on my preferences. Club Macanudo is a great find and I am not aware of many places anymore where one can have a great meal, a great bottle of wine or cocktail all while enjoying a cigar inside a great establishment. Club Macanudo - I will return for sure. Thanks for the great experience.

We got a table for 4 on Dec 30, 2023 for cigars and drinks. Nice corner table and it was very comfortable. We had such a fantastic and memorable night. The club had high quality cigars and made great drinks. I loved the design of the club. It’s a high end design, while maintaining a chill and laidback vibe. Lastly - excellent service by the team. Super attentive, warm and welcoming. Very well done Samantha, Mohamed and the rest of the team. We’re looking forward to our next visit!

We were a larger party of 9, seated quickly (we had a reservation). The old fashioned I ordered paired well with my cigar. Plenty of privacy, even in the crowed room. Sporting events on TV and low light for a unique and intimate experience. Staff engagement is 10/10, they are a bit anxious about moving about quickly, however they were efficient. Pricing definitely makes this a special event or client driven experience, but it's worth it.

I had a ridiculous and terrible experience there last night. I ordered a pour of the George T. Stagg (at $53). The server came back and said they were out of it, so I ordered something else. Totally fine. But then she came back and said they'd found some, and put a glass in front of me. I asked her to let me know the year (or the proof), because I've only tried a few different years and I'm curious about the others. While I know that even experts can't always distinguish between all types of whiskies, what she served me was clearly not George T. Stagg. (It also clearly wasn't Stagg Jr., which at least could have been an honest mistake.) The proof was too low, the flavor profile too simple. She came back later to confirm the proof: "90", she said. Of course, there are no matches of Stagg or Stagg Jr. that are 90 proof. Later, I went in and asked to see the bottle. They hemmed and hawed and told me they're poured me the last drop and then thrown it away. But then a second later, the bartender showed me what he had poured. Anyone want to guess what it was? George Dickel #12. Yes, they both have "George" in the name. But George T. Stagg is a high-end bourbon (for a reason -- it's delicious), while George Dickel is a low-end sour mash. So either the bartender knows absolutely nothing, or they think their clientele is made up of absolute idiots. Given that they tried to hide the bottle, I'm guessing it's the latter. So the whiskey program here is a COMPLETE CLOWN SHOW, and I highly recommend staying away.
