What a wonderful place and people. Coffee tasted amazing and just by standing at the bar and asking questions, I was able to learn so much from the barista (Sarah, I believe!). They offer brewing and tasting courses — we plan to be back soon to take the classes and pick up more amazing coffee here.

I took the barista basics with my friend. We both left feeling a lot more confident in our skills and have already signed up for a second class. Kaleena is a great instructor she really knows how to break concepts down so they’re easy to understand. We learned so much in 3 hours and got a lot of hands on time. If you’re wanting to learn more about coffee on a professional or at home basis I would highly recommend checking out Coffee Project.

This place is a gem in LIC. With amazing people and amazing coffee tastings. Their innovative products always give me surprises. They now have many coffee shops in NYC. I would love to see their continuous growth!

The closest NYC gets to the magic of Koffee Mameya in Tokyo. Several roasts to try, brewed perfectly. Absolutely worth the journey. One of the best pour overs in the city. Friendly staff happy to discuss their entire process. Cool industrial vibes.

This is their 3rd(entire) and the 1st(Queens) branch. This location provide large seating, coffee classes and you’ll see their roasting process.

This was my second Coffee Project location and it is absolutely gorgeous. It is modern and zen (very much like the owners here). I frequented their Downtown Brooklyn location often (huge fan of their drip roast beans) and was so happy for Sum (and Kaleena!) when she told me that they were opening up a cafe and campus in LIC. If you've not been to a Coffee Project location before, they are absolutely amazing. Probably my favorite in NYC. WIth the care and consideration they put into each cup they're making (and I'm sure at every step of getting the beans and roasting), it's no wonder that every cup of joe (nitro included) I've gotten from them is so smooth. I think the deconstructed latte is the embodiment of that, you can taste the quality at each step. And more importantly, they want you to (and teach you to) with it broken down. The space in Downtown Brooklyn is tight, but they were really able to make it feel serene and luxe. This LIC location...you really get to experience their whole vision with the larger space. It's a perfect combination of (there's a better architecture word for this) factory and modern cafe: tranquil, comfortable and elegant. I always love, love, love seeing the coffee roasting machine and the space very beautifully highlights it. I'm happy to just be an enthusiastic coffee consumer, so if you just want coffee (with friends or solo), it's a great place to swing by or settle in to grab a cup. If you're here to learn in one of their classes, I'm really jealous. You're learning from the top 10 in the country. Throughout covid they have proven themselves to be innovative and supportive of the coffee community and their staff. I've ordered a lot of beans from them because they are deeelish and really wish I could come see them soon!

This place serves delicious coffee and chai lattes. I've visited multiple times to try their new offerings, and each time, I've been impressed. Their baristas are knowledgeable and passionate about coffee, taking great care with each customer's order. As a result, the taste of their coffee surpasses homemade brews and the coffee from typical cafes. Additionally, they sell coffee beans, making it convenient for those who enjoy brewing coffee at home. The location is somewhat secluded from residential buildings, turning this spot into a hidden gem in the area. Moreover, they offer coffee training courses for those interested in learning more about appreciating and crafting coffee.

Such a fun coffee spot! It’s a coffee school where they brew some amazing, fresh coffee. My wife got the deconstructed latte and the barista broke down how to experience it. There was a seltzer, espresso, frothed milk a cookie and the latte. It was so yummy! I had the coconut latte and it was amazing with the perfect amount of kick caffeine and coconut flavor with chunks of coconut on the bottom. Coconut is my favorite flavor in almost everything. This place is a must if your in the area.

Great flat white! I hadn't been that impressed with one of their Manhattan locations, but this one seems to have it on.

The owners of Coffee Project are kind and intelligent. They know their coffee. I participated in their SCA recognized training and grew so much in my understanding of coffee. This is the place to go if you want great coffee and to know more about it.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet!! I've been getting my drinks from here for almost a year, since getting my studio around the corner and wow. They do not miss. Sometimes, going to a cafe is dependent on who the barista is that day, but every single time I've gotten a drink from here- it has been the same high quality, carefully crafted beverage. They are kind, remember your order (even though I am constantly trying their new creations) and clean! I tell all my clients to go there before/after their appointments, and they all agree- this place has great coffee! My only regret is not taking the time to sit down and have a drink there, as I'm always getting them to go. I like it so much, I might even take a class here :)

This is a great coffee shop, albeit a bit of a hike as it's located in an industrial area. However, it's worth the trip. It's a good place to get some work done while enjoying a cup of coffee and a pastry. Unfortunately, they don't serve decaf coffee. Hopefully, that will change in the future. While it makes sense that they don't currently offer it due to the low demand, it would be a nice addition for those who prefer decaf. I hope they will add decaf to their available coffees.

If you’re looking for high quality speciality third wave coffee in LIC, this is it. While you have the grungy aesthetic, pretentious staff, and decent coffee at Sweet Leaf, here you have an elegant space, professional and friendly staff, and top notch coffee. Coffee beans: 5/5 absolutely amazing, delicious beans with a diverse collection to choose from and frequent new releases. I appreciate their selection of beans with a variety of processing methods, especially many of the newer methods. Drinks: 5/5 besides the typical drinks at a coffee shop, they have some unique ones which are a delicious treat. I love that they also have a variety of pour over options here, which is great if you’re interested in buying their beans and want to try a cup before committing to a whole bag. Space: 4.5/5 very spacious with several seating options and an elegant aesthetic. My main issue with the space is lack of outlets for working from a laptop and the only tables next to an outlet are a bit small for me. Service: 5/5 all of the staff I’ve interacted with are friendly, helpful, patient (bc as someone who’s incredibly indecisive, I need that), knowledgeable, and skilled (one of their baristas, Flook, is a recent US latte art champion I believe). My only other issue is the operation hours. Wish they were open longer or else I’d visit far more often! Otherwise, it’s one of my favorite coffee shops and roasters.

Experts of coffee and very friendly! Their non-coffee options are the pretty standard array, but high quality and tasty. Worth going out of your way for.

What a beautiful cafe / roastery! If you haven’t had their coffee, you’re in for a treat. This is one of the best roasters in America! You have to see what they have on their pour over bar. You’ll experience flavors in coffee that you’ve never had before. And the staff is so kind and incredibly knowledgeable. Their espresso is one of my favorites in NYC, so enjoy a Capp! Oh! This is also a space to do coffee and barista courses. I was told that any level of expertise is welcome to join a class. I’ve met the instructors and they are very nice. Def will plan to attend a few classes here. Parking isn’t hard around here, and the space is only one or two stops away from Grand Central, so check this place out!

Great roastery and coffee shop with excellent customer service. Lots of seating and even an outdoor courtyard. I can't wait to check out their Manhattan locations.
