This park holds a special place in my heart as one of the most cherished spots on the island. The scenery is simply breathtaking. It's hard to believe that wild turkeys occasionally cause traffic jams on Forest Ave near the park, but it adds to the unique charm of the place. Standing on the bridge, positioned perfectly in the middle of the serene man-made lake, offers an unparalleled view of the sheer beauty that Silver Lakes Park has to offer. During springtime, the lake is adorned with enchanting cherry blossoms, creating a captivating spectacle of pink and white hues. As autumn sets in, the park transforms into a fiery canvas, with trees ablaze in vibrant shades of orange, red, and yellow. The lake itself teems with life, playing host to an array of fascinating creatures. Turtles, fish, and waterfowl thrive in this aquatic haven. On occasion, I've been lucky enough to catch a glimpse of three magnificent koi fish that seem to possess scales of pure gold and silver, shimmering under the sunlight. Additionally, the park boasts a dedicated dog park, a beloved gathering spot for proud canine parents, as well as a thoughtfully designed playground for the little ones. The overall ambiance of this park is nothing short of majestic, and I've spent many delightful moments here, fully immersed in its tranquility and splendor.

Such a pretty park! Visiting my daughter during the weekend, picked up a little Thai food and went to dine when we found ourselves TRAPPED in our car!!!!! Why? You ask!!??..... Well because of this!!! We'll return to enjoy the park on a NON-Turkey day!😊

Spacious park loaded with outdoor activities including a dog run and a public golf course. Strolled around the Reservoir. Do not attempt to swim here — there is a steep drop off in depth and toxic algae blooms. Schools of sunfish swim lazily near the bridge .

Beautiful and peaceful park to walk and recharge your energy. The view on the way to the bridge and goes through the lake is so stunning. Love to go during spring time and seeing all the different colors in the trees and flowers. What’s your favorite season to visit silver lake park?

This park is a beautiful treasure. I'm in awe that something like this exists on Staten Island. Can't wait for this weekend to see the trees blossom.

I love this park. If you are going for health reasons (walking/jogging) you will find a great variety of hills, flats, and even stairs for you to use. The scenery is beautiful and the park is easy to access and see from the road. There are no bathrooms, so use it before you go. I was able to use the restroom at the club once, but I'm not sure if that's an all the time thing. Oh, there are benches throughout and a small playground inside the park. It is geared more towards smaller children, with a few swings that older children or adults can use.

Very beautiful and very clean with natural nature, very beautiful and big and spectacular trees, a very beautiful lake that I realized is an old water source, I really suggest you see it, it is great for walking, and the people I met there are very friendly and welcoming are very soothing.

i love this park, it has many areas you can walk, the upper half and the lower half, you have the street which is all walking now. It was a part that was driven on but since covid they stopped it. I like it better that way

Wonderful park to take a nice stroll around and enjoy nature. Had a great time picnicking and birdwatching here, good spot to see both waterfowl in the lake and other types of birds in the trees surrounding. If you come around dusk, you can see little bats flying around near the tops of the big old trees bordering the park! Well-lit even at night, so you don't have to worry about lack of visibility if you're here around dark.

The course was in tip top shape and amazing. Greens were fast and fairways tight. But not a long course, and it demands strategic tee shots. Had a memorable fathers day with my dad and will come back soon!

Morning and evening runs in this park is a great way to start the day or wine down the evening. I did both for ten plus years. Each corner of the park has a different vibe. The lakes, the golf course, greenhouse and extensive wildlife keeps me coming back every time. Well rounded and well-managed park.

Lovely urban park, especially around the lake. The place looks remarkably well maintained and the terrain is mostly flat so a stroll should not be daunting for the average person. I didn't notice restrooms. Free street parking is available just outside the park. From there, it's a 2-minute walk to the park entrance.

The course was in excellent shape. The greens are tricky and challenging. The course is wide open many dog legs but after an errant shot you should be able to find your ball. The staff is top notch good burgers and cart girl was super cute and timely.

This expansive park offers a multitude of outdoor activities, featuring amenities like a dog run and a public golf course. A leisurely stroll around the Reservoir is a must. However, swimming is strongly discouraged due to a significant depth drop-off and the presence of toxic algae blooms. The bridge near the park is a favorite vantage point, allowing observation of sunfish swimming lazily in groups below. It's one of the most cherished locations on the island, with scenery that takes your breath away. It's fascinating to think that wild turkeys can occasionally lead to traffic jams on Forest Ave near the park, an element that adds to its unique charm. Standing on the bridge, centrally positioned in the serene man-made lake, grants an unmatched view of the sheer beauty present in Silver Lakes Park. As spring arrives, the lake becomes adorned with enchanting cherry blossoms, creating a captivating display of pink and white shades. Come autumn, the park transforms into a fiery canvas, with trees ablaze in vibrant hues of orange, red, and yellow. The lake is teeming with life, hosting an array of captivating creatures, including turtles, fish, and waterfowl. Occasionally, I've been fortunate enough to glimpse three magnificent koi fish that appear to have scales of pure gold and silver, shimmering in the sunlight. Additionally, the park features a dedicated dog park, a cherished gathering spot for proud dog owners, along with a thoughtfully designed playground for children. The overall ambiance of this park is nothing short of majestic. I've spent numerous delightful moments here, fully enveloped in its tranquility and splendor.

Has a dog run, lots of open field,, good place to jog, and a nice view of the reservoir. Just wish people would stop climbing over the gate. It's dangerous.

This place is so clean, and great for picnickin and biking. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of people coming to this park when I was there at around 12:30PM.
