Ft. Greene Park, is a memorable place for me. Full of culture and history. Whether you hang out by the monument, or in the Ginko pasture(watch your step in the spring, Ginko nuts have a STRONG odor.), or by the tennis courts or the basketball courts. There is seemingly something for everyone here in this little slice of Brooklyn.

Incredible monument at the center of this gem of a park. I highly encourage people to read the placards explaining the history of the park & monument dating back to the Revolutionary War.

Amazing culture and historical park. A trees shade, nice paths well taken care of. Great time for the relaxing or the sports. Tennis and two playgrounds . Tiny zoo place inside a stone building near the tall column. Sloping hills and art …

Attended a Spike Lee event here last week and totally enjoyed myself in the park. Grassy areas are nicely manicured . This park is great for families, so bring your blanket and have a picnic. Be sure to clean up after yourself. There is lots to do here, so follow the events calendar.

Went there for the farmers market and vendors market. Loved it! Fresh fruits and vegetables and goodies. Fresh milk in a glass bottle is even available! You won't be disappointed. Even complementing the experience are wonderful makers with unique items you can get for yourself or family.

A nice place to hang out and escape the busy neighborhood. The monument is an outstanding piece of work and very impressive. The park was very clean and felt safe during the afternoon.

I love this park. I go every day with my dog. The off leash hours in the morning are so special-- my dog loves it and I have met so many people in the neighborhood.

Family and dog friendly park right by downtown Brooklyn. Everything is well maintained with free activities all summer long. Off-leash doggie hours before and after 9am/9pm. This park is swarm with doggies in the morning especially on the weekends. Hosting the Fort Greene Weekend Market it’s a perfect spot to grab a snack and wind down. The tennis court is well maintained and free during the off season but requires membership in summer.

Spike Lee's Annual Michael Jackson/Prince Block Party August 2023. My first time attending and won't be my last. Had a great time. That's Spike with Prince's guitar circling the park and a drum line of women. Great music and great vibes

A wonderful park! I love going to the farmer's market here on Saturdays. The park has trails, tennis courts, a large set of stairs that's popular amongst runners, fields to picnic in and a beautiful monument with a great view.

This Hidden Gem in Brooklyn will not disappoint. Besides having a really nice tennis court picnic area dozens of benches it has acute Visitor Center that tells the fascinating story of the park and the bodies that are buried there from the Revolutionary war. I will not spoil it so you can learn about it for yourself. In the visitor center you can also see different species of animals and even hold them it's open till 6:00 every day and they have very clean public bathrooms there and water.

Will be working in this area, and I am so thrilled. I have fond memories of Fort Greene Park from the 60s when we came to NYC from PR. I have pictures taken at this park when I was growing up. We lived in South Portland, and I am definitely going to take a stroll down there to see the Brownstones we lived in. We had furnished rooms at the time. They were huge, and I simply loved them years♥️

A cozy, local, non-touristy park for walks with or without children. There's a dirt trail for jogging, two playgrounds, plenty of picnic tables, and fantastic farmer's markets on Saturdays

Have lived next to this park all my life, so much changes have taken place and upgrades have been done and it definitely has more people visiting now. Wonderful big park in the middle of the community. I've always loved coming here. There's a playground on 2 different sides, a ball playing court, and lots of space for picnics/hanging out and just relaxing. During the winter times the kids all love to use the hills for snowboarding. So many things to do here. There's also a little house that actually has some historical information on the park.

This park, in my opinion, is the best park in Brooklyn. The reason because it is a large park with several entry points. There is a small historic museum, there is a toddler playground and a and older children playground, and there is plenty of area to just relax or have a picnic or a birthday party or just to relax with family and friends. From time to time especially on a weekend, there vendors selling ethically/sustainably made clothing, foods, drinks etc. It’s a festive park. And you can meet some really interesting people and families too.

First time there. I like the greenery, but it seemed hard to find a bench to sit. It was dusty and the wind would blow the dust around making it uncomfortable for seeing and breathing. Otherwise, it has a beautiful landscape.

First and foremost, the natural beauty of this park is absolutely stunning. Lush greenery, well-maintained gardens, and a variety of colorful flowers create a peaceful and enchanting atmosphere. The moment I entered, I was greeted by the sight of towering trees and the sound of chirping birds, making me feel instantly at ease.

Love this outdoor park for small outdoor pandemic gatherings. The bathroom is at the top of the hill which I believe is accessible. However there are a ton of stairs (3 flights) if you’re coming from the northeast playground area. Take the sloping path on the East. From what I could tell, the bathrooms were still open on a Saturday at 6pm and there are two port-a-potties outside if they’re closed (and you’re brave). We hid from the rainstorm in the atrium area of the building with bathrooms. Definitely very cute park and a farmers market too.

What a lovely park! Just moved to the area and I love the different parts of the park - the hills, the tennis courts, yoga practice, kids playground, off leash hours for the dogs. It’s perfect!

The park I love. I come here daily to walk around. Beautiful park. Sometimes I wish people who visit to use the park with more love and care but the park staffs are doing their best to keep the park clean and beautiful. Maintenance is getting better and better every year. Family friendly. Two playgrounds, one for toddlers and one for more older kids. Street parking can be very challenging. My favorite thing to do here is during the late summer near the end of the sunset, watching the orchestra of light performed by the fireflies which is just stunning to see.

Beauriful green space, I used to bring my kids here when they were younger. The playground on the Myrtle avenue entrance is truly awesome. It has a really cool space for kids to explore, make friends and have fun. The smaller swing set on the Dekalb Avenue entrance is really cool because the play space is wide open so that its easier to see and keep track of the little ones.

The best park to walk around on the weekend with friends, or to take a lunch break during the week. I’ve also done a few picnics here and listen to live music over the years. It’s a great ambiance, especially when compared to Prospect Park which is a lot bigger than Fort Green -making this park it easier to get to. Not to mention the great food all around the park.

I came here for the first time to see the Idiotarod 2023. The monument at the top of the hill is impressive, with a view of the Manhattan skyline as a bonus.

Does Fort Green Park need a review? A wonder park with lots of areas to explore. Great tennis courts, multiple playgrounds for the kids, the memorial as the centerpiece and stunning views of Manhattan. 2nd only to Prospect Park in Brooklyn.

What a beautiful, scenic park! There's something for everyone... let the kids play in the 2 playgrounds, walk the dog, play tennis, get exercise walking/running up and down the steps/around the park or just sit back and observe the beautiful scenery!

Didn't go inside the park as we were short of time and it was drizzling too. It was fairly big and looked quite nice from the outside but I am sure it will look much more beautiful in the next few days once the flowers really start blooming. Bit of a climb though as it is on a height.
