Wasn't crowded and their was a DJ for the BBQ that was going on not to far from us. Some of the weeds and grass was a little over grown around the pond. But not to bad. Oh, and bring along plenty of insect repellent. You already know! It was formed in the 18th century, when local farmers dammed three streams to power a grain mill. It was named for David Baisley, a farmer who owned the mill in the early 19th century.

Has a very nice view of the pond .and a nice bike trail for bike riding, or walking or jogging. And and a baseball ball field, also a large cricket field. With a nice area to barbecue, plus it has such a Beautiful scenery in the summer, and fall with the Beautiful leaf colors . The winter time alike, with a really nice snow view. The pond looks Beautiful in the summer and winter. Remember never try to ice skate on the pond in the winter time with the pond frozen.

I've been living in this neighborhood for 20 years, but only started walking here two weeks ago. The pond is nice and the park seems safe. There is a tennis court and I've seen cricket being played here also. Nice place for family gatherings and bbqs.

This is such a beautiful park. It's quite had plenty of places to sit, relax and enjoy the serene environment. The ducks and swans were calm and had no fear when we came close to them which is a good sign. Let's make sure we do our best to keep our parks and the water clean.

I must say that I enjoyed my evening out here! Peaceful and serene! It doesn’t have all the features of most parks but man it’s nice over there. It’s very nice for wedding pics. I’m going there to Hang out before the summer is gone! 😁

My daughter's guitar instructor suggested having a lesson at this park. It was a beautiful atmosphere and she enjoyed being able to have her lesson here after having several months of lessons virtually. Plus I was able to take my son just a few steps away to play in the playground while she focused on her lesson.

Great park to take in nature and enjoy the views. A lot of room for dogs and for walks. Would recommend it if you need some fresh air. Has slides and swings in the playgrounds. Very clean and great place to watch ducks in the summer.

How I have grown to enjoy this park. ⚘🌴🌹🌳🌹🌺 Its quite, peaceful, and a beautiful sight to behold. The people who live in this oasis👨‍👩‍👧 hopefully enjoy it as much as I love coming by to give my mind a breather. Love the greenery and view!! 😃😊😀 The greenery is everywhere and the trees look strong and stunning. The water always looks as if at peace but is never quite still. Maybe it's the lighting that gives one the majestic sense that we are far away from the daily duties imposed upon us 😅😆. It's a picture promising more from nature. I took as many pics of its beauty since I am quite sure that most of the pictures available for this site are taken during the day time. There are no trains here and the distance seems to be just out of reach of the sounds of airplanes and heavy traffic. Great place to pause.😎

PROS: This park has always been special. There are a few different wildlife species that call this park home. Ducks, turtles, swans, fish frogs... Very nice place to have picnic, barbeque, family gathering, play sports, take photos, exercise or just sit and read. CONS: The water in the pond needs to be cleaned ever so often. Due to some peoples lack of care/love/respect for nature and their environment, they dump their garbage in the water. This garbage affects the wildlife that uses the water. Maybe if the parks department provided more garbage bins and posted signs to educate the people about the animals that share the park with them or possibly cameras, it would deter people from being so selfish and nasty. Also the tennis court, handball court and basketball court needs an upgrade. The bathroom facilities could use some attention too.

Such a beautiful 1 acre garden with a pond , great amount of amenities like many basketball courts , tennis courts, handball, and a baseball field. I came here for the second time in 20 years of living in this area. I came for biking and found that the biking path is a bit bumpy for a road bike but decent . You could do a few laps here and get some exercise in. I found a garden within the park called mother carter garden, read up on it and it was dedicated to a woman who served this park and made it what it is today I wish we had more people like mother carter . The parks in Queens and the surrounding boroughs to Manhattan don’t receive the care and support they need to stay beautiful. There’s a heavy amount of foot traffic and not enough cleanup or maintenance services to compensate . I pray for more mother carters who take care of the hearts of the city , which are these parks. There are many families who are moving out of the city to other places just because there are good parks where they can unwind and catch their breath after work or on the weekends. My request to all who came here, please clean up after yourself, and let’s make this park as beautiful as it’s meant to be 🙏🏽

A great place to run/job/walk. Only wish they would clean the pond occasionally as there are turtles living in the water.

I love this park I grew up here and to come back and see how beautiful it's truly became is wonderful. I'd just love to see the vegetation to be trimmed more in the water a lot of empty metal barrels engulfed in vegetation. But all in all great with even more great potential.

The weeds are high all over the park. Even around the kids playground and bench seats. Garbage bags are just sitting out. The pond has green plant covering most of it. No reason this place looks so unkept. Alley pond park, Cunningham park, Roy Wilkins Park do not look like this. They need to do a better job at keeping the gras low. Kids were playing in weeds.

Since the pandemic started Baisley Pond park is my go to park for running and walking. Always clean. There is a restroom and kids play area. Tennis, basketball and handball courts. Cricket field and baseball field. People are respectful and keep their distance on the paths. Lots of benches to sit on around the pond. Great for walking, biking, running, picining, bbq and fishing. If u want company/motivation to run/walk NYRR (New York Road Runners) has a meet up on Saturday mornings for run/walks whether a beginner walker or long time runner. The longer outer loop of the park is about 1.75 miles and a shorter inner loop of maybe 1.25 miles

Our family had a wonderful day at the park in Queens. The lush green surroundings and well-maintained grounds made it the ideal spot for a picnic. The kids had a blast playing on the playground equipment, and there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. The park's facilities, like clean restrooms and well-placed picnic tables, added to the convenience. It was heartwarming to see families and friends enjoying quality time together in such a peaceful environment. Whether it was tossing a frisbee, taking a leisurely stroll, or simply basking in the natural beauty, this park offered something for everyone. We left with smiles on our faces and memories to cherish. It's a fantastic place for a family day picnic in Queens!

Lovely park. The pond is so serene. I ride my bike, walk or just sit and people watch. NYC Parks Dept. employees have it rough. People are just nasty leaving trash everywhere.

Baiseley Pond Park is beautiful, quite large, serene and clean. I can here today to clear my head and get a break from my stressful day. It worked. I feel like I left the doctor's office in the most positive way. I recommend this Park if you are looking for a sanctuary for the everyday issues of living. A HUGE Thank you to all of the people who work hard to keep this parking going year after year. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!❤🎉

This park is much better now than in the 70's and 80's! However, the waterline needs to be better cleaned more frequently it appears. Overall, a decent NYC park nonetheless

The tennis courts on this side is much cleaner. Unfortunately, the men hanging out found it necessary to urinate in the bushes nearby. Please clean the courts on the east side near the pond.

The recreational facilities at Baisley Pond Park are impressive. The well-maintained playgrounds, sports courts, and open spaces make it an ideal destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts. It's a place where children can run and play freely, and where adults can engage in a variety of sports and activities. One of the park's standout features is the beautiful walking and jogging trails that meander through the lush greenery. These pathways offer an excellent opportunity for exercise and connecting with nature, all within an urban setting. I really love this park!

A great place to take your children. The park has walking trails and is close to several Bus lines. A beautiful lake adds to an incredible scenery.

Lovely clean park, nice to jog around the lake. My only maybe Con would be the gangster Squirrels that are so accustomed to humans that they would run up by the picnic table while you're still there looking for food. They are friendly and not aggressive though.

This is a beautiful Park! one round the park is over 5000 steps, working from home this is how I start most of my mornings each day. At the end of each walk I say hello to the turtles!

A lovely park in the middle of a bustling metropolitan area. There is plenty of space to picnic and even BBQ. There are benches along the pathway, near the lake and by the children’s playground. Lovely open spaces to play games and run around. Ample parking. My only negative would be the rest room area but it is in public space and I guess to be expected.

Great park, very spacious. Has a wonderful relaxing pond. There are a couple of playgrounds, perfect for the little kiddies. A path great for bike riding or walking. They have picnic tables, BBQ area, basketball courts, tennis courts, or handball courts. It's an all-around great place for family fun.

It's just a beautiful walk-around park with a large pond in the middle. There are some swing sets and "jungle gym" equipment for small children to play on at one corner.

Fantastic place to meet people for a friendly Bible discussion. Had a chat with a man who was happy to express his ideas and beliefs. Brian and I had a great time in this park. I was told they recently had a cricketing event there which invited people of various nationalities. I like this park and I'm looking forward to visiting again. 😊

Really lovely pond. Clean. Surrounded by marsh on one end, with a paved walking path and benches to sit, or do like we did and let your legs hang over the edge of the open side where all the urban wildlife hang out. There were all types of birds, and it made for a nice walk in the sun. I don't live in the area, was just visiting but coming upon this pond made for a great break from studying/writing where we were staying. Highly recommended.
