DO NOT BOOK HERE!! They are no longer a hotel but a shelter for the homeless. The independent contractors and security guards were somewhat helpful but very rude and inconsiderate of our situation. We booked our room back in May and when we went to check in we had to figure out how to get a refund and room somewhere else. They had plenty of time to tell us this but failed to do so. I attached the sign that they posted...which was not noticeable at all. They gave us a business card with the general Manger name (Andre Hammond) and when we called numerous times, he never picked up. The security guards had the audacity to say that we should email him....on a Saturday?! If he didn't pick up the phone, I don't think he's gonna answer an email in the timely manner that would get our situation resolved. This is just the beginning of my complaint, but I wanted to at least warn others to NOT book a room here because clearly...you can still book thru Google here and it doesn't make any sense. I'd would give this 0 stars if I could.

Some hotels in Brooklyn are not so great. This one, however, was surprisingly good. The space was updated, as spacious as you will get in Brooklyn, and clean. The breakfast was decent. There is a subway that goes by the windows, so if you are sound sensitive they provide a pair of earplugs. But that is New York for you. It personally did not bother me at all.

!!!!!Be careful, the hotel no longer exists since August 8th, 2023. We arrived today and had to be turned away by security at the door with the words this is no longer a hotel.

I stayed here for a week or so between apartments and cannot express how grateful I was for the whole experience. The hotel is clean and comfortably spacious, not huge, but not cramped. Tvs are set up with device casting which is really nice. Daily breakfast spread. And the staff are great people. The hotel is directly beside the J train, but we were set up in a room toward the back of the building so noise was not an issue, and there’s a J train stop a block away so travel is pretty convenient. Would definitely book here again.

Been overcharged. Booked through Expedia said all paid but needed card when checked in. Trying to find out why we was charged over £170 extra! Very noisy hotel BTW. Looking forward to computer generated reply to this comment just like other reviews given. Sent emails and still no reply so avoid if you don't want to be overcharged. (7th Aug) Update still no reply from hotel so still out of pocket. Filled in all correct forms and still no info or reply why we was charged extra. Even the final bill don't have any info on why we was charged extra..... Avoid as you can see on other reviews this hotel has done it before too past guest. If you do go take photos of everything that's wrong with your room like we did just in case. Still not been contacted from Holiday Inn apart from these computer generated reply. Look at other reviews other customers have also had this problem. September now 3 months on and still no communication from anyone from hotel or from the company and still people are being overcharged.

Cannot fault this place at all- the service was amazing from start to finish. They have this cool thing called Guest of the Day- which I was! You get some free snacks for during your stay. The breakfast was great but if you go at the busy time you might struggle for seating, nevertheless the room was fantastic, spacious and exceeded my expectations of NYC hotels by miles! Will definitely stay here again when I’m back in NY.

We had a bad experience with this “hotel.” Actually it’s not a hotel anymore but we didn’t know that when we arrived in Brooklyn after dark, with 2 kids, hungry, after a very long drive. I’m not sure why it was even possible for us to book it. So we had to find another hotel to stay in that same night. So very stressful, since we were new to NYC and didn’t know our way around.

LOCATION CLOSED!!!! with no notice to us. No one has been helpful. I booked through Expedia, they said they can’t confirm it’s closed. IHG claims it’s out if their hands… somehow the only thing they are allowed to do when you call them is give you points!!!!! I want my money back! They directed me to go to holiday inn in Brooklyn, which was a huge mistake! I ended up paying twice the price and still haven’t gotten any money back. No one at IHG cares about what a gross failure this is! I’ve talked to 6 customer service people at this point, and am getting nowhere.

THIS HOTEL IS CLOSED. We booked on 17th August for 5 people for a week in November, only to arrive to find the hotel had been closed since 8th August and turned into a private facility. We had not been notified and the staff at the facility could not help us. We were left with no hotel room and having to find another hotel for a week for 5 people.

Booked for a familiy of five, the website states that the room accomodates 5 (i have screenshots). After I (!!) found out that the room only hosts 4, I communicated with the hotel. Their idea is to nearly double the price, so my party can sleep . I don´t want to accept that as it is theier fault. Now I am ghostetd: No messages from the hotel - bit the reservation is still valid. Seems they don't want to stand in for their own mistakes and don't care for the customer. Very bad customer experience!!

Initially I was going to rate 3 stars, however, the complimentary breakfast triggered the 5 stars. Customer service was great, room clean and spacious. I had 2 queen bed with my family, no complaint at all. My only problem was the location just by train tracks, I really did not enjoy my sleep with the kids because we are not used to noise when asleep, my room was just beside train tracks, unfortunately the train was passing by every 10mins, it was super frustrating but the hotel fully booked. I think it's New York thing, the rugged lifestyle. Like I said I couldn't denied them the 5 stars due to their good customer from the employees. Customer service means alot to me, I like a place that invest in customer service. Definitely recommend if you don't mind Brooklyn lifestyle.

We got there early and they allowed us to leave our bags and go grab lunch. We came back and were told our room was ready early. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. We stayed 2 nights. The staff was friendly and shared their personal recommendations on where to eat and gave us directions. The included breakfast exceeded my expectations. The location was also perfect for our needs.

UPDATE (2 days later): the complimentary breakfast makes a big difference! The kitchen team is on it! This was the best hotel breakfast we had in a while. Worth waking up for. I booked through a third party e-certificate site. I will never do that again, I will just book directly next time. In any case, we arrived early (10:30AM) only to wait for four hours while the front desk staff ignored us in the lobby. We were told there were no rooms, but around 2pm, they started checking in other guests ahead of us ( I assume because those guests booked directly). When I spoke up I was give nothing but excuses. They simply ignored us until we started making a fuss. Not the best way to welcome guests. The rooms are clean, good amenities and well spaced for the price.

DO NOT BOOK HERE! We arrived on 9/14/23 after booking our room in May. We were turned away. This hotel is being converted into housing. You will not be able to check-in.

I stayed at this hotel for almost a week. Rooms were very clean, beds were neatly made, very friendly and helpful staff, everyone was very accommodating. The housekeeping team was super sweet and kind. Shaniqua from front desk was exceptional - very kind and helpful! You’re doing great girl! Loving the fantastic customer service skills and positive attitude! Rosa and Glory from breakfast were also great, they made sure that everything was stocked and clean, very friendly and attentive. The windows in the different rooms I was in didn’t seem to close very well, some sort of sealing issue but other than that my stay was great! I really enjoyed my stay!

Stayed here for a weekend trip and was pleased with my stay here. Very clean location and great welcoming staff. Breakfast is great. You’re right in front of the station which makes transportation easy. Mix of locals and tourist in the area. Great shops and food in the area. Area felt “safe”. Would recommend and would stay again.

Hotel is next to the tracks that run all night and day. However, we was able to sleep through it so it wasn't a problem. The room was alright. We had standard with two beds. As much as service the reception the first night wasn't much a ppl person. We're a family of five. I asked for 2 more sets of towels and was told they could only give me 1 set more extra set because they was completely booked for the night. However, housekeeping didn't listen and gave me 2 sets I asked for and another extra set. I believe she just didn't want to be bothered. It's actually convenient to corner stores, restaurant, clothing and sneakers stores. You really don't have go far. Everything is on the street.

This was a great stay! I would definitely book here again. For those complaining about the train - educate yourself and do your research before booking. This is Brooklyn, New York, not St. Pete’s in Florida. Thousands of other people sleep near train tracks every night in New York, and even choose to pay rent there each month! Interesting huh? The people at the front desk were terrific, our room was wonderful and super clean, and the bathroom was absolutely spotless when we walked in. We were on the 6th floor, facing the train tracks about two stories below. Yes the train runs about every 15 minutes. The hotel is reasonably spacious, but a little tight in the hallways for luggage carts, so be mindful of your surroundings and others. Overall, the service and staff here were wonderful and I would definitely come here again! 10/10

Loved my stay here! It was super clean and comfortable. I had no issues with anything. Highly recommend. Found free street parking for my whole stay. I had been wary of hearing the train during night from reading other reviews prior to my stay. So, I requested a room further back and I honestly didn't hear anything each night and slept soundly through the night.

I'm glad that this hotel was able to accommodate me on a short notice and that their rooms provide all basic necessities plus a microwave, fridge, and iron. The issue I have with this hotel is that my room did not seem like it was completely cleaned - especially the bathroom. The shower still had a bit of hair from the previous user. There were also quite a bit of stains on the walls and the door handle did not look all that clean either. I also don't know what it is about the tiles in my room, but there were large gray 'stains' by the entrance and in the bathroom. Throughout the walls, carpet, and windows of my room there were more stains. I would appreciate for the hotel to take a bit more time cleaning their rooms and for guests to be more respectful of the property. Other than that, I believe that the hotel staff responded well to my needs.

I stayed for two nights and was grateful to have such a clean and secure place to stay. The room was quiet even with neighbors, and the train sounds were minimal. For people who require a hairdryer - make sure to bring your own. I guess nearly all the hairdryers in the rooms have been stolen. Also, use spot hero/Angel to find a parking spot if you’re driving there. It’s not too bad for parking.

I am grateful for this hotel. Stands out for sure. It has great breakfast and nice rooms. But this time around Christmas there seems to be a bit of people hanging out at the tables in the lobby. I’m am currently on the first floor their loud talking and making noises are keeping me awake. I called and told the front desk, but the conversation volume hasn’t seemed to go decrease. I have to be up for work in few hours. Other than this occurrence, great stay

Great hotel! Super clean and very good customer service. Convenient location steps away from the metro. Didn't care about the noise from the train, it ain't that bad and after walking 10hrs in Manhattan no noise will bother as we were super tired. Will come back for sure. I hope they keep the great work!

When we arrived, there were stains on the sheets, the shower was not clean, and it appears as if someone had smeared toothpaste on the door frame in the restroom. In addition, I prepaid for the room. When we checked out, I noticed there was a charge on my account for roughly the same amount that I paid. The front desk associate told me that they were “unaware” that I used a third-party booking site and that she would refund the charge. Instead of refunding the charge, she charged me twice. In total, I’ve paid $2, 095 for two nights in this hotel. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more for nicer hotels in the area.

Shout out to Erika in housekeeping! The room looked brand new every day we walked in. So rare to find people who show evidence of pride in their work. If no one has said so, let me tell you; "Erika, you are greatly appreciated!" Housekeeping made our stay at this hotel. Everyone else did a great job as well, but coming back to the room after a long day out in the city to a fresh and clean space made much needed rest so much easier. 5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I paid for my stay at this hotel in full back in May 2023. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was asked for my credit card to pay for the deposit. I gave them my card and I was charged $US100. What I did not know was that they also recorded my credit card details. Twice, on Saturday August 5 and Sunday August 6, additional charges were placed on my credit card. There has been no explanation for such. I have asked, I have texted management, I have emailed management. I have called IHG. No one has given me an answer. IHG promised me 30,000 points as compensation and promised that upper management will contact me, for which I am still awaiting. I have not been told about a refund as yet or why I may have been charged. My questions are: why was my credit card details kept on file? Why if you are charging me, a bill or invoice is not followed via email? Why when I asked to speak with a manager, staff is telling me that there is no manager until Monday? Are you telling me there is no supervisor in the hotel on weekends at all? I am being told that when this charge occurs it is usually staff checking if customers cards are active and to use or sell for their personal gain, I make no accusations but I have been asking questions and getting no answers. Further to this, the bathroom tub has rust spots i.e. it has a coating on the tub, there are areas where the coating came off and the rustiness of the tub is present. You can also see that shoddy work was done in the sink area which could not bother anyone to fix properly. The hotel is near to a train track and the hotel has not implemented any soundproofing methods for such, so you hear trains loudly all day and night. I've had issues with bad customer service, most employees need to be properly trained. The breakfast lacks variety, and does not cater for vegetarians. One day, they had eggs and on the sign had Cheese and Omelets, it did not state that it had meat included, I asked the staff if it did, she assured me that it did not, I later had to show her that it did. She shrugged it off as if to say, what is the big deal. I had an issue where my AC was cutting off after approximately 3 hrs. It was subsequently fixed.
