TLDR: Would give 0 stars if I could. Garage attendant refused to accept car close to closing time, car came with half tank (purchased full tank), car was dirty. Terrible experience is an understatement. The person in the garage "cleaning" the cars, giving them to customers and accepting returns is absolutely the last person Hertz should have interacting with customers. Extremely rude and does not understand what is included in the rental options (i.e. purchasing a full tank of gas online, doesn't equate to a full tank upon receipt of vehicle). Returning the car was a nightmare, the reservation was until 2PM. I returned the car at 1:59PM and the garage attendant tried to beat his chest and say I could not return the car and needed to go to Manhattan to return the car because they stop accepting cars at 2:00PM, again, it was 1:59PM when I pulled into the garage. The customer should not be responsible for calling the location to determine when cars should be returned, Hertz should shorten the return time if the location accepts cars 30 min prior to closing. Hertz, if you're actually reading these reviews, fire the garage attendant, he should not be able to interact with customers. It will be due to him that I would never return to this location, and likely not rent from Hertz again. There are many rental companies out there, I don't need to pay to deal with a headache.

Agile and rapid management. We took a car for 2 days and 7 people and it went very well! They gave it to us a little dirty on the outside. And they didn't explain how the car worked. The place smelled of maria, but that's a normal thing in New York...

This location is awful because the employees are so slow and pickup and drop off takes an extra 1.5 hours. Avoid at all costs. Update — on top of making everyone wait for at least an hour in the street to drop their cars off - they also charged me a full rental day because my drop off time ended being late - strictly because they were so slow and inefficient. Give a worse customer service and charge extra for it - genius.

Appalled by the rudeness of the customer service rep. The lack of professionalism, the mistreatment of my friends, the “oh you want to talk back, go get the car yourself” attitude. 1) There was no talking back and 2) he didn’t want to walk himself to get the car. Absolutely abhorrent. I hope this location shuts down for its repeated complaints. I may as well have walked myself to Philly than ever rent a car from here again. Not to mention the cars don’t come cleaned. AVOID.

Know your rental rights before you rent a car. Some of these associates are running quick hustles. Being a Hertz Gold member since 2017 and renting cars in almost every state for work, this location is hands down the worst. The associate didn’t want to honor my online booked prices with a confirmation number. He did not add my wife as an additional driver despite my request because he wanted to charge me to add her and I told him that Hertz Gold member get to add a driver without charge. Today when I called Hertz customer service I was informed that my wife should have been added and that she needed to sign. So I will have to to that point today to mitigate any potential liabilities. He gave me a dirty car-inside and outside. See photos. Some dirty could not be captured by the camera lenses. In this time with COVID and Monkeypox are rampant, these people are increasing the risk o instead of mitigating. He gave us a single key with no remote. No explanation that I got one key (normally I get two keys attached). On the key tag, I can see the previous renters information. The renter before me paid for a compact vehicle but got a midsize car for the same price that was much cleaner than mine and newer model. How do I know that. I saw and heard. This lack of respect and regard for my pregnant wife, my three year old son, and me is unacceptable because somebody wanted to go home. Less than 1 star would be more appropriate.

Literally the worst experience ever. The people are rude and do not help you. After being turned away at a previous location I came to this location because I was told they would honor my reservation. I came here where i presented my id and. Was told that i was on the do not rent list. Even though I been a loyal client for 3-4 years. I was then turned away and then told i had to call the back office where i then stayed on the phone for about 2 hours with no one answering. Then when i emailed the back office they said that I was indeed not on the do no rent list. Which means i was turned away for no reason. I then used another car rental app where i paid $100 more when i did not have to.Stay away from this place. The manager Sheena will not help you. And her counterparts are just as bad.

I will never rent from Hertz again. Upon arrival, there were 10 people waiting for their cars - some for over two hours. I put my name on a waiting list but they had no idea how long it would take. I got a call more than three hours later that the car was available. When I returned, I asked for a discount to compensate for the lost time which ruined my plans for the day, I was offered a bigger car with poorer gas mileage - no thanks! I was told to sign up for gold membership to get points as compensation - no thanks! When I finally got the car, it had no gas left, smelled like smoke and hadn’t been disinfected. NO THANKS!

After waiting about an hour yesterday we picked up a car that had 1/8 of a tank of gas and wasn’t very clean. Fine, whatever, we’ll get gas. But then when we got on the highway and started driving the car faster than 30 mph, we realized that there was a serious problem with the transmission as the engine would make loud noises, shake, and there was a smell of burning. We literally couldn’t get the car to go faster than 45 mph. I’m driving in heavy traffic in an NYC area highway close to JFK at this point and my husband and I are seriously concerned for our safety and for those around us. We try calling the park slope location several times with no answer, and decide that the safest thing to to would be to go to the Hertz location as JFK that we’re close to at the moment. We get to the Hertz location at JFK and they tell us to that they can’t help us and that we either have to drive back to Brooklyn (in a car that is seriously unsafe to drive) or drop the car off in the returns line (with no indication that there’s something seriously wrong with the car so that they can rent it out to others!!?) They tell us that they can’t do anything about a refund because we’ve prepaid. The level of customer service for this company at both locations was something truly insane- I cannot believe the lack of concern about a seriously damaged and dangerous car and for a customer that’s already paid for it. I finally talked to one kind employee who actually acted like a human being who was able to at least take the car out of the return lines mark that the car needed to see a mechanic. We are distraught at this point as we’re trapped at JFK with no way to get out and the hopes for our weekend plans rapidly dimming (the Hertz at JFK was out of cars and wouldn’t make any effort at all to help us). The JFK location was clearly really understaffed so it seems like a very systemic issue. We decide to make a last ditch effort and check if the Avis literally next door has cars. Avis has cars, is properly staffed, and we’re driving a car within 15 min after a pleasant and professional experience. After this experience I have literally no idea why anyone would ever use Hertz. I know I never will again.

!!!AVOID LOCATION EVEN IF IT IS FREE!!! Now, here is my review: If only I could give it 0 stars. If only this location could close and never open again. Relying on a rental with this location was a costly mistake. Summary of the situation: - I had an end of day rental. When I arrived (5:02 pm), they told me they closed and asked me to come back the day after. The manager also said that the rate will be honoured. Note that I called Hertz that day and they told me that I can pick it up until 5:29pm. - I came back the day after, 30 minutes before they opened, given that I read that many people had similar issues before. - The person who spoke to me told me that I missed the pick up and that means that the rate will change. The rate now increased from $50/day to $250 per day. - when I told him that the manager said that the rate will be honoured, he didn’t agree and inferred that I was lying. - given that the manager was there, I wanted to speak with her to confirm with her. She didn’t want to speak with me even though I waited for 15 minutes to speak to her. - I finally had to cancel the rental given the outrageous price. Cherry on the cake: their website was showing that it was possible to rent the same car at that same location for $50! I wish there was a consumer protection organization in the US to close down locations like these.

BEWARE: Rented electric car - got it at 45% charge and returned it at 45% charge. When I returned it, they charged me $42.00 for fuel. I'll remove this review if you contact me and remove the extra charge. (Revised: they issued me a credit on my subsequent rental to compensate me for the fuel charge) I rent at this location all the time and always see small extra charges on my bill i.e. if you go over your return time by 1min (because of the long line) they will charge you 17.00 for an extra hour. Overall the staff are nice people - service is a bit slow at times. If there is noone there, service is quick. However, if there is a few customers waiting for cars the staff does not seem to know how to rush a bit and get the line moving - it seems that their attitude is that they have all the time in the world. They should at least put on the impression that they are rushing. I read some other reviews and people complained that the staff needs a bit more training - perhaps that would help.

Rented a Tesla. 50-70% state of charge, max they charge it to is 80%, and they said they rent it out as low as 10%. Policy is to not charge teslas at the garage, even though they charge other EVs, claiming they don’t have the $150 adapter to allow it. This means when you rent a Tesla here, your car could have between 26 miles - 208 miles of range. Note that the nearby Tesla charger will take 1hr+ to charge the car to max + have to pay $10 per half hour - all bc they don’t ply the cars in at night.

Avoid this location if you can. No car given at 5:02 pm (2 minutes after they close) despite Hertz customer service assuring us we could pick up the car until 5:29 pm. They told us to return the next morning for the car. When we returned, they said the price has now gone up $500. Originally selected this location as their prices were better, but ended up with no car, so will not make that mistake again. Budget near Jay St/Metrotech is much more reliable. The Terrible customer service by Hertz and weekend trip ruined.

Staff here was great, but this Hertz experience overall was awful and I will never use them again. The location's hours changed after I booked a car, meaning I wouldn't be able to return the car until the next day. But, I had to find out about this myself! I was not informed about this and was lucky to find this out on my own before my reservation. I spoke with a customer service rep over the phone who changed my reservation, but this was not the end of it because my new return time was STILL not within their new hours. I called back again when I realized this a week later and the reps I spoke with gave me two options which were both ~50% more expensive than my original booking. They claimed to have no way of honoring my original price, which was incredibly frustrating and made it feel like a bait-and-switch. All of this, even while being at their President's Circle tier. I surely won't be renting from Hertz again.

Two days in advance I paid full price on Hertz website for a rental car at the Brooklyn Park Slope location. I showed up at 9am Saturday when they're supposed to open and there's a long line of ppl standing outside on the sidewalk. One of the employees/attendants shows up at 9:15 am. The employee literally drove their personal vehicle into the Hertz garage at 9:15am in front of everyone and then they opened the front door. So I know for a fact the employee was late. At 9:20am that employee took a customer from the back of the line because that customer was waiting for a car they were supposed to pick up the previous day. Around 10am the employee came back outside and announced that a second employee/attendant still hadn't shown up for work. Also announced that they only had 7 vehicles available to rent that Saturday morning. And there were much more than 7 ppl waiting in line. So despite the fact that I already paid full price for a reservation 2 days in advance, I would not be able to get my vehicle. And by 10 am they still hadn't provided service to any other customers standing outside in line on the sidewalk (they had only serviced that one customer picking up the car that had not been provided the previous day). Because of their incompetence I had to cancel the non-refundable trip I had planned that Saturday. Completely unprofessional for an employee to stroll in late, another employee still hadn't shown up an hour later, and the store did not have enough vehicles available for customers who had already paid the full cost of their reservation.

Although this location has mostly cars available, the service level here is not the best. The staff members treat you more like an annoyance than a customer. The pickup and return times vary between 30 minutes and one hour (with reservations), and the same for the returns. If you return on a Sunday afternoon or Monday morning, be prepared to waste at least an hour.

I'll do you all one better. I returned my rental car on the day and at the time I was supposed to, ask the attendant if they needed anything from me before I left, and he said I was good. 11 days later I'm getting emails and texts from Hertz telling me my car is critically past due, and they've been charging my credit card everyday since I returned it. I tried to get some information about my rental from the Hertz website and there is nowhere on the website to see a rental history. I called Hertz customer service, which is a misnomer, and they said they could tell the location to close the contract but the charges would still hit my credit card and I would have to dispute it with their billing department. I'm preparing to get higher authorities involved, but there's no way I'm doing business with this location or any other Hertz location again.

Expect long lines and wait times at pick up and drop off! I’m typically one of the first customers (1st or 2nd in line) but end up spending anywhere between 1-2 hours going through the registration process, despite checking in online. The car I reserved is never what I get, either because they have none in the class or what they have is just not acceptable. The cars are often dirty and the gas tank is NEVER full. I’ve been giving them my business for years, but after my most recent experience with an extremely rude customer service rep, I will be taking it somewhere else.

Bait and switch! I reserved a "Luxury" SUV and received a busted mini van! I had no choice but to take it because I needed a vehicle that seated 7 passengers. The customer service is absolutely horrible. Employees are rude. No indoor waiting area so I was outside in the rain when I picked up the car. Hertz should do themselves a favor and close this location if they care about their reputation. I would never rent from Hertz again.

Absolute mess. Showed up this morning and they didn’t have cars for those of us with reservations (had mine for 3 weeks!) and had a waitlist that had cars first come first serve whether you had a prior reservation or not. People who had no reservation were at the counter getting a car while those of us who showed up for our reservations early were being told it might be over 3 hours before there might be a car for us. I’m now standing in line at another Hertz after spending 45 minutes on the phone with Hertz customer service and again there’s a lot of people standing in line and there is a waitlist because it seems there are no cars here either. Absolutely ridiculous.

When I picked up my vehicle, I was on the receiving end of what seemed to me to be a classic bait-and-switch tactic. I paid for the rental in advance through Expedia. The car was listed as a "manager's special." When I arrived to pick up my rental, I was third in line and the two women in front of me had also reserved the "manager's special." We were each told in turn that the manager's special was an electric vehicle. I was not able to use an electric vehicle because I was driving 300 miles away. Unfortunately, this is not a viable option for long-distance driving at this time, especially where I was going. The customer service person told me that an electric vehicle was listed as an option in the fine print of the Expedia agreement, but I could find no such information. I would not have signed up for this deal if it had been listed that an electric vehicle was an option. The staff wasn't helpful and made no move to even show me where it said that an electric vehicle was an option in the fine print. Then I was told that a gas vehicle would incur a charge of an extra $25 per day. That amounted to $200. I had no choice but to accept this charge. I needed the car. I'd paid in full already (excluding the tax) and I had to get on the road. I'm extremely disappointed. This treatment feels very underhanded and manipulative. What a terrible way to treat customers -- put them in a position where they have no option and then create a situation where you can charge them more. I'd stay away from this location or be prepared to reach into your wallet for a company that doesn't value its customers.

This particular rental location falls short in terms of quality, as it struggles to accommodate a large volume of vehicles within its limited space. The lack of organization becomes apparent in the line for pick-up, which carelessly intersects with the traffic of incoming and outgoing cars. The staff's driving skills around customers leave much to be desired, as they display an aggressive approach in navigating the confined area. Furthermore, their judgment in assigning better rentals is both unprofessional and discriminatory. The overall demeanor, approach, and customer service skills of the staff leave a lot to be desired. Adding to the disappointment, the provided car was dirty, having been passed from one customer to another without undergoing essential cleaning procedures like vacuuming or washing. This level of unprofessionalism is simply unacceptable for a car rental establishment.

Just don't bother coming here. The employees are trying but they are so short staffed and overworked and poorly managed that they just can't give you any decent service. Prepare to wait 90+ minutes to pick up your car and 30+ minutes to just drop off the car.

Never rent here. The entire location should be closed, their customer service is horrible. Bill in particular should be fired. He was extremely rude to me when calling to let me know they only have EV available. They also have another employee there that has forced an EV on us in the past, lied about how easy it is to recharge them, and tried to make us accept it without a refund for prepaid gas - we ended up having so much trouble recharging it despite his information to the contrary that it would be easy that we had to return it early at the Philadelphia international airport and get a gas vehicle to come back to Brooklyn. Literally never rent here. Terrible customer service and terrible selection options.

Customer service was great. I rented on a Sunday. There were roughly 20 people waiting. It’s the only car rental open on Sunday in the entire area. People should be grateful. The overbooking of reservations or understaffing is a corporate issue, not an individual employee issue. A lady in a mask , obviously already a red flag, was the one raising the most issues. Staff stayed calm despite this.

Horrible experience. My rental car broke down due to a faulty battery. There was NO support from their Hertz Roadside Assistance program, and I called 4 times. I had to replace the battery at my cost through my AAA membership, to make my trip back to New York on a busy Saturday in time. I was exhausted going through the whole ordeal of a dead battery, and I had now other choice than to call AAA. I went back and forth with the Hertz Customer Service Center for two months to seek reimbursement, and they are NOT reimbursing me for the cost of the new battery, which was $190.00. Thus, Hertz was able to rent this faulty vehicle to the next customer, while I had to put in the time, work and money, plus my AAA membership, to get their rental vehicle road-ready again. I'm seething at their arrogance and snottiness dealing with customer issues which puts car renters at risk and jeopardizes our safety. The point is: The vehicle I rented was not road-ready, it was actually unsafe to drive, as the battery went dead while I parked in a remote area. Really absolutely horrible. They should not be allowed to be in business. They are not able to deal with road safety and customer issues. Absolutely the worst ever.

They are thieves! My wife and I had a very important business trip to Hartford on August 30th. So, we rented a car for one day in this office. But the workers did not accept our debit cards or online banking credit cards, which we regularly use in the United States. Because of these problems, we lost an hour! OK. We solved this problem, took the car, and drove to Connecticut. The next day, August 31 we returned the car at 8.30. Our rent was ending just around this time. We went home by subway, calmly thinking that we had made an important meeting. BUT! After 5 days, we received a receipt, it says that we returned the car only on September 3! And they charged a fee for 5 days late return! This is a complete lie because we returned the car exactly 1 day later. On Friday we wrote a letter to support, but they don't respond. Today, this money was charged from my credit card, it was blocked, and I could not even buy food! They stole my money, and they don't even try to solve my problem!

Can't return my car. Reserved my car to be returned at 7pm on Thursday (their hours when I rented), then when going to return it they've updated their hours and are closed until Saturday at 9am (according to their site they aren't even open at the time that I've reserved my car) My only option is to now return it to Laguardia or extend my rental. I've rented cars plenty of times, and this is by far the worst experience I've ever had at any location, and any vendor in general. Hertz customer support gave just about zero support and needed to contact my travel agency to sort this out. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

DO NOT RENT OR RETURN HERE. Don’t just take my word for it: read all the one-star reviews. There’s a consistent theme. I have regretted renting and returning a car here each time I’ve done so. Very long wait on any weekend or morning. The office is not staffed to handle the volume of business. Expect 1+ hour minimum for pickup. Don’t count on availability. I have booked rental cars for pickup here online , waited in line for over an hour, and upon reaching the window, been informed that there are no cars available. No recourse. No refund. Thank the broker for our donation. When trying to return cars here, they’ll make you circle the block multiple times. They use travel lanes on Union Street as their parking lot. The neighborhood and through traffic would be better off if this business were shuttered.

I would make this a 0 star if I could. I booked a 7 seater SUV a month in advance. I planned a trip with my family. The rental left me a voice mail that they don't have the vehicle available, I could cancel my reservation as a courtesy. WHAT? I called Hertz, I spoke some people that don't speak English, was on the phone for an hour and there was nothing they would do to accommodate. HORRIBLE SERVICE. DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ. YOU WILL REGRET.

Normally I avoid this Hertz because it is so chaotic and there is no safe place to stand without almost being run over. You need to support your staff by giving them the tools they need. Also, please open up the office again, waiting in the entrance of the garage is terrible. The five stars are for a star employee named Please. She is WONDERFUL! She was so sweet and kind and communicative. My mom and I were SO grateful for her kindness. Hertz, you have a real gem on your staff. THANK YOU PLEASE! YOU ARE A STAR!

After getting into a car accident, my insurance company set up an arrangement to use Hertz. The location is ideal and the staff seem nice, but those are the only nice things I can say about this location. The office is cramped and the staff seem overwhelmed at times. It gets pretty demanding here which is a recipe for diseaster and could explain why shortcuts are made ie explaining all the nuiances of the rental agreement. Their phone does not work. Well let me correct that. Their phone seems to work one way. They can call you to tell you that you still have a car that you returned 2 weeks ago. But you can't get in touch with anyone in this location via phone. Even by pressing option 5 which was on an email I received highlighted in red. A representative from Hertz couldn't even get in touch with this location and advised that I physically had to go the site to resolve the issue in person. They also surprisingly changed their Sinday hours. I say surpringly because I got to the location at 10am only to find that they were closed and wouldn't be open until 2pm. That would have been nice to know before I changed all my plans around to drop the vehicle off. Lastly, I got hit with a fuel surcharge that was never explained to me at any point of time. Had I known, I would have replenished it myself instead of paying over one hundred dollars as a penalty. So reader beware. Make sure you keep copies of your rental agreement. Replenish the gas accordingly. Be sure that they give you proper garage operating hours, and see if they can provide you with an alternative method to reach the storefront in case of emergency. Keeping these issues in mind, hopefully your experience will be more pleasant than mine was.

This place is a crook! I rented a car from them. When i returned it, it was my fault for not checking all belongings but shortly after I returned it i came back because i left my burberry glasses in the visor. $800 frames. I know for a fact I definitely left them in there because i was just using them. I returned to get them and they claimed they’re was nothing in the car and i was not allowed to go check for myself. They stole my glasses and no one has even bothered contacting me. I will be filing a report on them.

We have been using this location since March and I can say for such a small location the entire staff does there best Kayla we have had the pleasure of dealing with she helped my wife out with the insurance side of things because it wasn’t a regular rental. Also we have dealt with Kareem the entire staff at this location I see go above and beyond to help customers sometimes you go it’s crowded they work as fast as they can. Customer service has always been on point. I’ve seen other reviews talk about the cars being dirty be glad that you have a rental and give these young men an woman some slack we have rented literally 5 times from this location an I don’t go anywhere else. When your treated like the Gold member you are can’t beat that!!

Posting a 5 star only because of Jordan. This location is busy, it closes at 2pm on Sundays which sucks to rush back from a long weekend upstate with no drop box service and in general the front desk is stressed and moody but every time I get Jordan he is quick, efficient and so friendly. His attentiveness and customer service keeps me coming back to this location. Otherwise I probably would choose a different rental further from my house that has better hours.

They need to be managed Sadly, the nice crew has not been trained How to manage time or customers well. It took me an hour to return my car. Waited 20 minutes for someone to move the car indoors off the public sidewalk. I was in shocked how poorly this location was run.

Made a mistake in charges but they fixed it quickly. Never had any other issues here - usually a few minutes to wait in a manageable line, but cars have always been ready and clean. Nice manager/staff

I rent from this Hertz location multiple times a year. The staff has always been super helpful, professional and kind and the cars are in good condition.

I did rent a lot of cars through the world (Germany, Canada, US, France, Spain…) This is by far the worst rental i’ve ever seen. No one is welcoming you, you have to fight to let them know you there with a reservation. The staff is rude, they should all be fired ! If you have a reservation, make sure to come an hour before cuz they won’t give you credit. They are soooo slow ! All the Hertz rental are bad in the area, i recommend yall to go somewhere else !!!

This location is easily accessible, but the traffic on this block is heavy, no matter the time of day. The wait to pick up a car varies, but there is always a wait. It's Brooklyn, most businesses have a long line. That said, the staff are very helpful, and the cars are clean and in great condition.

The team is very professional. Cars are brand new compared to other locations. They will give you the exact or close to the type of car you have booked. One of the better locations after Dean St. Shoutout to Karim and his colleagues (the lady I didn’t get her name) they were very helpful. 😀😃

I couldn’t replicate the problems so many people seemed to have here. Saturday morning rental. A few people in line but it moved fast. I even showed up 5 min past my reservation start time. People should have a little more patience. Friendly team! One star off for the car having only 8% battery.

The front passenger tire went flat on the Taconic State Parkway about two hours after we left the city. Afterward, I checked the tire pressure on the other tires, and the front driver side tire was around 25 psi, or about 10 pounds per square inch below the recommended psi. When I filled up the tires, I realized the dashboard display was incorrect; the pressure display for the front tires actually corresponded to the pressure for the rear tires. I would not rent here again. It feels like the cars are not properly serviced. Otherwise the experience was not bad. The customer-facing staff were polite.

Please don't count on this location. I made and confirmed a reservation, thinking it would be easier to get a car here and take less time than at the airport. When I showed up on time for my reservation, they didn't have any cars available and were not sure if there would be any cars available, one hour before they closed at 1:00 PM on Saturday. They blamed Hertz Corporate for allowing the reservations to be made. I was able to get Hertz to transfer my reservation to JFK where the agent confirmed there would be a car available for me, but it was stressful and took up a lot of time trying to figure out a good solution.

It took us an hour to pick up a car which didn’t have a full tank of gas and was dirty. It took another hour to return the car. The Avis nearby is much more organized. Don’t go here.

I've rented from here many times for work and have always had a pleasant experience, in large part due to the wonderful staff. However, renting a car on a nice Saturday afternoon in September means quite the wait. Even though I got there early, I still ended up waiting in line for 45 min, as there weren't enough cars to go around - even though we had made a reservation in advance. Certainly frustrating, but the staff was truly the saving grace that day. Shout out to Cara for giving me a nice upgrade and extending my return time for no additional cost. And Kareem was *extremely* kind and understanding when I came back a little later than planned with my return. Long story short, weekday rentals here are no problem, weekend rentals not so much, but the staff is EXCELLENT.

They don’t deserve a single star. The manager just tried to run over my foot. Yes, you read that right. Why? Because after being stuck in traffic, and calling constantly, the office and the general customer service line, no one picked up to help us figure out a solution to possibly running late. Once we got there, employees were still in the office and refused to help us. Instead, they screamed at us, and eventually, tried to run over my foot. Worst customer experience of my life. Do not rent with Hertz.

Unbelievable experience. I booked for a 12:30 pick up, and got my car an hour & an half late. The rep explained this was because they were “short staffed” and said “is that supposed to be my problem?”..insinuating it is MY fault as the customer. During my reservation, I realized that they changed my booked time (which was supposed to be 6pm- I have confirmation from Expedia) to 1pm. Making me late for drop off and have incur additional charges when I wanted to extend my rental. I called customer service, was hung up on twice, and given 0 solution. I’m returning this car tomorrow and will edit this review after my experience with drop-off. I am a President’s Circle member, and will NEVER rent from Hertz again.

They will overcharge you!!!! I returned my car on time, and was told I would get an email receipt. I got the receipt the following day, and it listed my return time as 28 hours late, and charged me accordingly. I am currently on hold (for who knows how long) to try to resolve this. Also, they only have electric vehicles. They are super understaffed. NEVER GO HERE Update(2/10): the person on the customer service line said they were able to correct the return time and adjust the charges accordingly. I will update again once the correct charges do or don't come through on my card. Second update(2/12): The charges on my card appeared as listed on the original receipt, which was a massive overcharge!! I will now be disputing this through my credit card company. Unbelievable.

Absolutely frustrated with this location and Hertz overall. There's no direct Customer Service number anymore. You have to deal with email communication that results in no resolution what-so-ever. I had a rental to pick up on Tuesday 2/23 at 9am. Didn't get the car until 11am and when I got the car it was absolutely filthy. I didn't realize the back seat was covered in food crumbs until I was an hour away and at a rest stop. I have been trying to contact this location all week and can't get through to anyone. I've tried contact customer service and have received ZERO help. I'm an independent contractor and as a result of a 2 hour late pickup, I lost a client and much needed money. Hertz overall cares little about these locations and their support line is a joke. Completely outsourced and they could care less about the nightmare experience. I want to support this branch in particular because of the folks and area that it's in - but it makes it extremely difficult to do so when issues like this come up. This isn't the first time either.

I’ve waited here for sometimes 1.5-3 hours for both pick and (somehow) drop off in line after line. miserable experience. and then you call Hertz to complain and nobody picks up! possibly the worst customer experience in the world, really horrible all around ***Editing my review after Hertz replied to my initial review with a link to send them a message. I sent them a message and got no response - this is so typical to this whole experience.

This is the absolute worst Hertz I've been to. I've gone twice now and both times have had major issues. The most recent time, I booked an economy gas car through Expedia and when I got to Hertz they said they only have electric, which I couldn't use. So I had to spend an additional $200 for the cheapest gas option. The car's gas tank was 40% full. Then when I returned it, a piece of rubber above the tire (attached to the car) had come apart - just normal wear and tear I think? They told me this was damage and I have to file a claim. I took care of the car, no accidents or anything. This whole experience has been so frustrating and upsetting.
