These poor animals are being kept in inhuman conditions. The turtles especially. It’s incredibly dirty and smelly. Their mice seem sick.

I just want to say that even after reading these awful comments I still decided to go and get some fish for my baby boy. Let me just say customer service was amazing. The guy was very knowledgeable and ummmm it’s a pet shop, of course it’s not going to smell like roses. I will definitely keep returning to them. Thank you paradise aquarium. 🥰

Would not recommend this place to anyone. All the negative reviews are true....if for any reason you have any issues with any purchase in this store ..you are on your own your lost your money better to go to petco.

I like this shop because the fish are healthy, and they have a good selection of exotic reptiles and stuff like that. Sometimes I wish they got in more shipments of fish. But the stock is in good shape. The crew is fairly friends. This place adds to the neighborhood.

Watch out!! The manager, the young kid with the mustache sold me 20 crickets. They were dead after 2 minutes before I even got to the house. When I got back 3 minutes later he told me that they're just cold and they're all alive. They were not. I left him at the store. I told him if they're alive you can keep using them. He did not want to replace them or help me in any other way and told me that the owner doesn't even have a cell phone so we can reach him watch out for this person. He was really shaky high-pitched sound and not professional

change your operating hours if you aren’t open until seven. it’s the only window of opportunity i have after work. this is the umpteenth time this has happened. i wouldn’t have an issue if it was consistent and those Who need to know, will know when to come. this isn’t buying some junk food. I am trying to be responsible for a living being.

Three men behind and around the counter. Didn't bother to pick there heads up the TV show they were watching to acknowledge a customer... and after saying excuse me was I given a dismissive answer. Because of that I did not purchase the 2 Parkeets I wanted. ***Also I have a hard time believing a Parkeet cost $40.***

Excellent pet store! I would recommend it! I bought a Chinese snowflake hamster and he is healthy, cute and fluffy. I definitely recommend this store.

It reminds me of aquariums from when I was young. They have a good assortment of fish and plants. It appears they have a decent selection of salt water fish as well. They also have snakes and lizards in the back.

Family run great people and I got a zoo at home and I'm never disappointed with the animals and everything else

My son CALLED AHEAD to see if the store had a specific type of fish (cherry barb). They told him "yes" so we headed over. Once we got there, they said that they didn't have them and weren't sure when they were coming in. Why even bother calling, if you're going to get incorrect info? So frustrating and a COMPLETE WASTE of TIME today. We headed to PetCo and purchased some there. So much for "Small Business" shopping this weekend. I know you can't compete with corporate stores in terms of price, so you should be blowing them away with customer service. Big Fail today.

It was pretty cool going there, there was cray fish as well as a few axolotls which was nice to see! They had hamsters and parrots there as well as equipment to take care of the fish and the other animals there. I recommend going there to get fish as well as equipment because of the low prices.

Not the service we planned on. No intent to discriminate among the young workers, but no attempt to assist or ask if we needed assistance. Truly wished to have walked away with some product. Maybe next time!Seems to have great selections.

The all American store clerk was rude and not very helpful when I came to trade fish. I asked to speak to the manager who told me to come in that day but was not there. Ask the clerk there and they said"I dont know what to tell you" with such apathy. Will be going somewhere else. Thnx

Very friendly and helpful. They won't tell you something wrong just to make a sale. They have a little bit of everything.

Been coming here for years. The owner is a wonderful, friendly man. Always ready to help you and give you advice. Only place I go for salt and fresh water fish.

I wasn't sure on how to rate this place because the staff is amazing and extremely helpful. It's just over priced. Honestly sometimes I don't mind paying more because the customer service is so great.

Some cleaning and lights would do this place a big favor. Decent selection, better than a petco, but not as good as the nicer stores in flushing, manhattan, etc.

Place has a lot of uncommon, monster, and oddball fish you don't typically see along with your typical community and goldfish.

The store got smaller but the staff is still the best! They don't have the greatest selection of fish at times but the reason I'll keep going is the friendliness and help you'll receive. They seem to care more about the customers than sales. Edit 4 years later: Just wanted to come back on here after 4 years from my last review and say they are still the best to deal with in terms of honesty and customer service. Purchased a bird to go along with my current one and the promises were kept with the return policy given and additionally even got cash back for remainder of credit. Would recommend to anyone looking for an honest place.

The store doesn't accept the store credit they issued. The reason they rejected is the store credit is over a year. However the store didn't indicate the expiration date in the store credit. The store deceives customers.

Old school classic Aquarium hobbyists' Paradise ..every inch about tropical and saltwater fish ..stocked from the corners to the rafters a bit of a diamond in the rough (dusty that is) excellent stock, supplies and service, very reasonably prices .. been here 50 years plus these days run by the grandkids of the original owner

I don't want to give it a 1 star but when I went there the store smelled bad and looked dirty also the store really needs some fixing plus the tanks where all dirty. Also customer service is ok.. like not that good really.. however I did like the discuse tank which was the only tank that seems that was maintained good. Anyways you choose where you shop. Hope the owner watches this comment and maintain the store a little bit better .

Every time I go in here I wish I hadn’t. Awful workers and the conditions are not good for the animals. The fish are well cared for, but the mammals and birds are packed into small cages and behind glass way in the back of the store without light.

I use to go regularly to buy fish, and frozen food . It was a good experience for me with 2 owners super nice guys . But they hired some young guys they are so bad attitude . I went to buy some fish and they handled the fish very bad. . They all died on the same day I bought them . Sorry I stop going there .
