My father died there due to Malpractice by Dr Nancy J. Talavera and her careless, incompetent nursing and other staff. We sued and won. The staff stole my father’s clothes including a new pair of shoes we’d brought him. They made him wear other peoples’ clothes - with other name tags in them. They stole his dignity. Some of the Caribbean CNA’s (aids) who were supposed to watch him and keep him from falling just were on their phones all the time and ignored him. He fell on the unit and got a big bump on his forehead. No one called us and they omitted the incident from the med records. They covered it up. They gave him a medication he was not supposed to get and he died in 36 hours. That med was listed on the chart under “Allergies/adverse reactions”. They gave it anyway and did not tell Him or the family. He stopped breathing and no one even did CPR. It is a terrible place. Do not bring your loved ones there. They should shut this place down and jail the staff.

I used to work at the nursing home. If you have a love one do not put them there. The house keepers/janitor does a horrible job at cleaning. Most of the time they are on the phone. It’s really just disgusting. Also the cna’s that work there mainly the ones that are staff workers. Do an amazing job at not doing a great job at all. Some of them don’t wash the patient properly. Overall don’t give them the proper care they need. I would never put a family member here. Also the workers have the worst attitude. The cna’s are often given 14 patients if staff is short. That is too much for anyone to handle. They won’t get the proper care just something rushed. Just the worst place to work.

Very Organized and spacious Emergency Room, all ancillary staffs are very helpful.

i came in complaining of chest pains and back pains and trouble breathing, they put me in a room for two hours and forgot about me, i was never checked or treated, probably because i dont have insurance, or maybe they just dont like puerto ricans at this hospital, if for some reason i pass away tonight for whatever reason i came in for, hopefully my family will use this as evidence to sue them into the ground, these ER doctors could care less if you live or die in all honesty brookdale is better

This is one of the worst medical centers I’ve ever visited. The doctors are horrible. The dr I visited told me women over exaggerate their pain and when I requested a female dr she was no better than he was. This place is run by some of the worst people and I do not understand how it is allowed to continue. Please do not come here seeking any form of care. This place needs to be investigated and shut down.

Beware Annmarie Campbell, she is NEGLIGIENT. After my mother had a stroke, she is refusing to prescribe her necessary medication and is refusing to send a referral for outpatient rehabilitation.

They revamped the ER. Much cleaner looking. Very nice nurses, well most of them are anyway.

Place needs zero stars! This place is a joke and disgusting. I’m not sure how the health dept hasn’t shut this hospital down yet. I rotated through here and what a dump, the only good think about this hospital is Dr.Kumtekhar. Don’t even get me started on Maria and the rest of the GME dept like Dr.Alli, never seen such losers in my life. They all hate their life and treat students so poorly! Glad I made it into a surgical residency and didn’t end up like those two despicable humans. Maria Paz, you’re a psycho and you need therapy.

This hospital is very bad. I came here as a student and the environment is toxic. They are normalizing abusive behaviour towards students. They stimulate students to fight and abuse the younger ones without any penalty. The environment is predominantly Indian and Philippines and they gang up on you as a minority. Maria Paz and her family do a lot of favours towards their family members. Her nieces do a lot of favours towards the male students. I will let you guess why that is. Make this hospital equal and not this racist, this hospital is in desperate need of a multicultural environment. Maria Paz and Romero you are stupid and unprofessional, you hide behind your people who protect you.

I use to be able to come to this hospital you usually be in and out . Now it’s seems like they just push you through and have you laying around in the triage room for a hour .Then finally a nurse or a doctor come a hour later to see what your visits for . Then they send you off to whatever need to be done then they have you just waiting around. Nobody come explain to you what going on what you waiting for and then have the nerve to give you attitude. Yeah this will definitely be my last time coming here.

I visited the dental clinic, and it was honestly the best dental experience I've ever had. Shout out to DA Calma and the Doctor who helped me (Sorry I can't remember your name, my bad). But she did a wonderful job with my Root canal, no pain at all was felt, she talked me through what was happening. Even the X-Ray tech and receptionist were nice. 10/10 Would definitely recommend the dental clinic.

Was send for rehabilitation after a stroke that left me unable to move on my entire left side. There are good visiting nurses and some Compassionate Pct/CBA. The room I was put in has paint peeling from the window frame and the drop down ceiling is open so the railing to hold the curtain is off.The bathroom in The has very dirty floors and black mold growing all around the floor. There is no way to take a shower since there is rarely hot . Have only had 1 bath since I got here in May 25, 2021. In conclusion this is not a place for a human being

If I could give 0 stars I would ..This is the WORST HOSPITAL EVER , they have no urgency whatsoever , and they just forget about you .. I took a blood test at 1:30pm and was told I would have to wait 2 hours for the results because their system was down ..it was 6pm and the doctor still did not came to see me yet . It’s like he just forgot about me .I asked a nurse to ask the nurse that was taking care of me when I will get my blood results back .. the nurse told me she said she was coming , an hour passed and she NEVER CAME…finnally another nurse finnally called the lab and turns out they had allready faxed my results a long time ago …the nurse had to go flag down the doctor , and all he said was “sorry it was taking so long “..please do not go here .. they do not care at all

My father in law recently stayed here for a month for rehabilitation after COVID 19 infection and subsequent other infections that led to him being unable to walk. He was given excellent physical therapy here and I believe that this is the reason he is almost back to normal. The hospital is dated but the staff seem professional and kind. I am thankful for the staff here, especially the PT and OT dept.

Kingsbrook took great care of a friend that was in need of emergency care. The staff was so attentive and compassionate to her needs and advised on a future plan of care to help address her ongoing battle with chronic pain.

This place didn’t want to watch out for my mom, my mother was hungry and when I ask them when would they bring food for her, they said whey wasn’t gonna give her any, that she should’ve ate before she got their, I immediately checked her out the hospital and brought her somewhere else. They had a I don’t care attitude and that wasn’t sitting well with me.

They have my 20 year old son a hard time he was having a asthma attack and they didn't want to give him more treatment until the doctor was available my son was fighting to breath so he called me telling me that they won't give him medication I can hear him wheezing on the line so o all him why he said there's only one doctor and that is empty inside the so he don't know why they m the doctors taking so long to see him so I called and spoke with a nurse and they said they working with him ave that he's alright which he wasn't so I told them I was on my way there that's when they administrate the additional meds to him when I got there and apologize I would never refer anyone

My mom received better care here than Jamaica Hospital. ED staff are very thorough and some follow ups are scheduled. Really hope they invest in better equipment and better air system so staff can work comfortably and with patients.

This place is a heaven my mom stayed here to Rehabilitate after a stroke and she is up and running almost like new. Her nurse Lynette Henry and occupational therapist Amanda Nackie are literal angels. Thank you guys for dealing with my mom and taking time to help her. You guys deserve a raise❗️❗️

New CEO right before Covid. During Covid They were dumping bodies like dead mice. A synagogue was built by the Jewish community and now they want to sell it for profit. Wonder if the CEO are pocketing from all these deals.

If I could give no stars I would. They discharged my son's father while he still was having fevers. A few days later he is septic. They didn't set up any aftercare or medical transport for someone who is having cognitive problems on top of not being able to walk. Never accept this place to be transferred to for rehabilitation.

1st of all EMT Where very poor my Son was in alot of PAIN COULDN'T WALK WE HAVE 30 STEPS TO COME DOWN THEY NEVER HELP HIM A WHEEL CHAIR stretcher or nothing now we're here at the hospital ER with a referral and the nurse is saying they're going to him pain pills and send him home no xray or nothing .

One of the worst experiences i ever!!! Omg I was rushed to the ER here, crying in pain waiting for Dr Hand, he still didn't come see me, after waiting for a 1 hour and a half, being laughed at, one of his assistant came to see how serious the situation was just to rush me to another hospital because they couldn't help, if u love you're life don't go here!!!

I came here because I’m having heart issues, palpations, and weakness and they took my EKG and a doctor never came to see me. I asked multiple nurses how long I would have to wait and not one of them knew me or why I was there. I couldn’t even get discharge papers because the doctor on the shift goes he’s not the doctor taking care of me. 5 hours of not one nurse or doctor checking on me, nor no one of the shift taking care of me because I’m “not their patient”

My special needs 11 year old was sent there for rehab after a back surgery. The place was so bad that we pulled him out immediately. We were told that my child had to be quarantined and we found that to be unacceptable. The facility had the referring hospital send test multiple times and was cleared or they would not take him. He was not going to get therapy while in quarantine... a big red flag that I should have seen when Kingsbrook called me before the transfer to apply for medicaid for days that my insurance would not cover. In my opinion they were trying to keep him for as many days as possible to run up billings. This is my opinion as no on stated this to me. The electrical outlet in his room was without a cover which is a safety risk. The bedding was stained/torn. The staff available was difficult for my wife to understand so our main care giver would not have been able to interact with staff. The food that was sent up (not requested since we were leaving) had bugs on it. The safety guards on the heater were broken and falling into the unit. The people were polite but the facility was unacceptable. I can not speak to the quality of the rehab. I feared that my son would hurt himself giving his limited cognitive ability.

Has a lot of bad staff and the nurse supervisors are rude and irresponsible.
