😠 This urgent care center is crazy, the front desk patient care staff are very rude and disrespectful. I was seen by Dr Zahra Virani a medical doctor, she kept stabbing me in both of my arms to draw blood. It was on purpose and malicious. DON'T GO TO THIS CENTER! People often mention care, told, test, medical, doctor, service, insurance, urgent, staff, experience,

The provider I saw, Silberlicht, was extremely unprofessional, not knowledgeable, and gaslit me in every way possible. I told him that I was experiencing food poisoning and that I had been vomiting/experiencing bowel issues after eating a cold meal that tasted rotten. He proceeded to deny it was possible because β€œfood poisoning is only possible after 4 hours” and told me that he’s eaten at the franchise I’ve eaten at plenty of times and never gotten sick. He tested me for a myriad of things, COVID, the flu, and pregnancy, despite me making it abundantly clear that it was none of these things (all were negative). When examining me, he said β€œyou look fine, like you’re feeling better.” I told him β€œmy boyfriend said I look pale” since I had at that point been vomiting for 3 hours. He responded β€œyou look like you’re feeling better, I’m not saying that you’re lying, just that you look better.” He consistently denied my symptoms and had a rebuttal for everything. My symptoms began as soon as I ate a cold meal from an establishment, and since I hadn’t eaten anything else I knew that it could only have been from that. Regardless, he continued to reject everything I had to say. He asked how many times I vomited, and when I told him β€œ10-15 times,” he made a face and said β€œin my whole career I have never heard of anyone throwing up more than 3 times, I think you should say multiple” to which he then instructed the nurse to alter my chart to say that I had thrown up, β€œmultiple times” because he did not believe me. By the end of the visit, despite me making it abundantly clear that it was the food that made me sick, he declared β€œI guess we’ll never know.” This doctor is shockingly unprofessional, and I don’t think I will be able to return to CityMD after this experience. Up until now, I had only gone for COVID tests, but it is clear that for any other services, the providers only know what they learned from a textbook, and if your symptoms don’t align then you must be lying.

The doctor told me that it was ear wax which was causing me pain. That was a lie. I went elsewhere the day after and the doctor said that the ear wax wasn’t an issue. I knew what she said was wrong because she tried to rush through my time there. She also was being petty by saying something about me coming in so late in the evening. I unfortunately don’t get off of work till 8 so I couldn’t come in earlier. 0/10 would not recommend

I went there last Sunday as I had a medical emergency. I was treated well by a doctor, yet I will have to complain about their customer service. I am insured, yet because it was Sunday and the insurance company did not work (self-explanatory, right?), I was asked to sign an attestation of not having an insurance on that particular day. I refused to do that arguing that I was insured, and that it was actually their job to verify this fact on the following day when the insurance company would work again. After I protested, a young man who was at the counter, changed his mind saying that I did not have to sign the attestation. Hence, I didn't sign it. I came back there today to ask if they were able to verify the validity of my insurance in the meantime and to ascertain myself that the issue had been closed. A young woman behind the counter turned out to be very unfriendly. She insisted that I did not let her finish her sentence and that I should listen to her. Since when should a customer listen to customer service not vice versa? She instantly became angry with me. She ripped my ID out of my hand actually manifesting that she was angry with me. After she verified the information, she didn't say "goodbye" back. I do hope not to have to set my foot in there again.

Horrible. Line out the door to get a COVID rapid test. Everyone who is coming to get tested for covid was checking in on tablets, no wipes near the tablets to clean them between users. Waiting rooms were at max capacity, people coughing everywhere waiting to get tested. If I didn’t have COVID before coming here, I have it now. They should have a different check-in process for people coming in with COVID symptoms, and not oiled so many people into the waiting room.

You thought terrible service is the worst, wait till you receive bills for service that you never receive. We went in to have a follow-up examination for my three years old daughter in June 2021 for the treatment she received at this site in November 2020. I checked with CityMD aftercare team through e-mail and asked for an appointment before we went in. I was told no appointment needed, just go ahead and walk in. When I actually went in on the day, Dr. Victoria Vogel did not only refuse to provide any follow-up examination, but also chased us out and threatened my little girl and me with security when I tried to show her it was her own team that told me to come in for the follow-up examination. I would not accuse Dr. Vogel’s reaction is based on me or my daughter’s personal traits, but I will simply put it as her entitlement, unwillingness to communicate makes me realize the value CityMD is trying to communicate to the community by having someone like Dr. Vogel lead this facility as Medical Director. However, me nightmare did not end from this horrible experience. I have been receiving over three bills since November 2021 for my June 2021 experience. The bill is vaguely named as β€œOther” and quoted an amount more than a regular check-up. I was shocked because I was β€œlured in” and no service was ever provided to my little girl, not even basic respect. Every time I was able to dispute the bill through email, phone calls, CityMD will send out a new bill for the same β€œservice”. CityMD has successfully made my insurance company paid for a portion of the service in the most recent bill before they notice me. Please DM me if you have similar experience.

DON'T go here. You will waste your time. I went to this urgent care because I was feeling sick and it was the closest one. First of all, the wait time is INSANE. 2+ hours. And for what? They did absolutely nothing for me. The "doctor" was incompetent and unhelpful. They didn't even check vitals like they normally do when you go to the doctors when you're sick. Also the nurse didn't seem experienced at all. The next day I went to Medrite which was further away but they actually helped me. They ran tests and actually did their job.

The people operating this site withhold healthcare to try to extract multiple visits and copays from patients. I went to this CityMD location after my partner tested positive for Covid so I could get tested myself. The attending nurse insisted that I should only take a rapid test, not a PCR. After pushing back against that and asking why I would just need a rapid test and not a PCR, they eventually gave me the PCR. The rapid test was negative. The next day I started getting symptoms of Covid and later the PCR test came back positive. They are a total scam. Will not return.

My dad went yesterday to do a rapid test. He did not have his insurance card on him. The medical assistance told my dad he needed to have insurance to get tested. My dad does have insurance, my mom is the primary policyholder.. the medical assistance was not helpful, he told my dad that the insurance has to be in his name. My dad was a bit under the weather. And I was waiting on him to get the rapid test so he could have picked me up from surgery at Mount Sinai later that day. The medical assistance could have called the insurance company to check for eligibility but I guess that was too much to do. Since when urgent care denies someone a covid test whether or not they have insurance? Poor customer service

Last Saturday, I went to this pathetic place for persistent pain in the middle of my back. After I scanned two insurances, the girl at the front said my info "didn't pop up". I told her I just scanned everything. Then I asked how much would it cost to see a doctor. She said $225.00 and I said not today and walked the hell out. BTW: I have Medicare and Medicaid. I went to the ED at NY Presbyterian and received top-notch medical care complete with several xrays, lab work, EKG and of course, a Covid test. This place SUCKS! Furthermore, I believe this place is a scam. They have ZERO intentions of honoring the insurance they claim to accept... they simply want YOUR money. I had the money, but I also have two insurances. The girl has absolutely NO people skills if you are a minority. However, she was quite pleasant to the white people.

Doctors spend most of their time talking to the MA’s. Asked about when my daughter would be called and she said one second, we didn’t get called. I received many bothered looks from the medical assistant and Doctor which made me feel uncomfortable.

I recently took my wife and was treated Professionally and with care. contrary to the Urgent Care on Columbus Ave at 91st Street where the person at the front desk seemed to be bothered by people showing up, would not answer the door where one has to buzz, and then told us yhat it was a three hoir wait and told us not to ask how much longer it would be. I highly recommend CityMD on Lexington Ave at 96 St. Staff and Docter were expedient and professional.

I’m a physician and compared to ER hospitals where u may wait hours and hours like 4-5 hours I was relieved to get seen quick and diagnosed by an MD. I was feeling sick and didn’t want to wait in the ER. Here conditions are clean, safe and everyone is very nice. There are also doctors here. Since there are doctors here they know how to escalate care when u need to go to the hospital I got my vitals checked, And lungs evaluated by a doctor pretty quickly so I’m really glad I saw someone quick

Love the doctors and front desk staff HOWEVER a nurse named β€œPaige or page” really hurt me while drawing my blood. I’m not squeamish for this at all. I’ve never gotten bruises for a blood draw before seeing her. Was not even apologetic. Just β€œyour vein rolled so I’m gonna do the other side”..the attitude is not ok when you have a needle in someone’s arm! I was gonna let it slide until the bruising showed up. Beware of her.

Rapid COVID tests are NOT ACCURATE hereβ€” beware. I tested positive at home on the same day. It is so irresponsible to allow patients to believe that they are negative when they are not.

Horrible patient care. I was crying for stomach pain, and The MA left me alone in a room. 15 minutes after i went outside and she was talking and laughing with other employees. If I would be a patient I would go to hospital instead. Terrible service

Took more than 1.5hrs just to see a doctor. The receptionist said we have to wait 20 minutes because technician is on break. That was at 3:20pm- she returned at 4:15pm! That is 55 minutes instead of the β€œ20” min. When she arrived, she asked for β€œ1-minute”, then left for 10 more minutes! I’m fairly sure I was being discriminated against, or at best, completely disregarded as a human being. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”- My experience on this visit was that: The staff are careless and have no issues with leaving you with a terrible experience overall. They don’t care if you’re in extreme pain. Swida, the urgent care manager, gave me a nasty attitude for daring to speak up for my rights as a patient. Would not recommend. Avoid if possible. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” Ultimately my family’s medical inquiry was tended to but I left there feeling stressed and exhausted by the whole ordeal.

Jessica was extremely unhelpful & turned me away for service when in fact my information was up to date and active. When I reached out to the facility she tried to explain that it was my fault when in fact if she would have took her time she would have notice the issue wasn’t on my end but hers. Filed a complaint on my behalf because this is unacceptable.

Waited over an hour to be seen for a possible ear infection and throat pain. Dr. Powers didn't even look at my ear and told me I had post-nasal drip and to take flonase. It's been a week now that I've been doing this and things have only gotten worse. Do not recommend.

I went in there to get a covid PCR test because I needed the results to assist to an event, they said it would take 3 days, today is already the 9th day and still haven't received it, as a result I almost don't get into my event, I had to pay for an urgent PCR test They are kind but not reliable, go to another place.

Hands down best urgent care experience. Do not hesitate to put your urgent health care in their hands. They made my daughter feel at ease and the process was the smoothest urgent care process ever and the place is immaculate.

Waited in the cold for 2 hours for a test. First 50 minutes --line did not move at all. No one came out to let us know anything. I understand they are overwhelmed, but some communication would have been nice. Took 3 hours total to get the test. As I was leaving they were starting to use a virtual line. Wow, that would have been great earlier in the day. Quoted 3-5 days for results. It took 10 DAYS. All my coworkers got their results the next day from testing sites in other areas of the city. I also got a voice mail from them to call them, but theydid not say why. What number do I hit on the phone tree? What a bunch of clowns. They should not be allowed to charge for this.

Bad patient experience with the provider. Will definitely skip this urgent care and go to another non affiliated urgent care if any other services needed. Provider refer me to ER for elevated hypertension but refused to treat me for Hives. Let me walk out as I refused an EKG and didn't give me a progress note/encounter for service rendered. Upon going to the patient portal the provider never indicated my chief complaint and just documented what she wanted..while insisting for me to go the ER. I left went to another non affiliated urgent care minutes after leaving CITYMD Lord and behold my issue was treated right away at the OTHER NON Affiliated URGENT CARE. CITYYMD I use to be a big advocate and was always referring people to CITYMD but will no longer be doing that. Quality of care at the location I went to in has diminishedin quality and patient care. lI no longer view CITYMD as an option of care for me and my family
