UPDATE:
I
think
the
previous
doctor
was
just
inattentive
and
careless,
because
I
went
back
and
saw
Krishna
Morar
instead,
and
he
was
GREAT.
Added
a
star
bc
he
was
so
patient
and
thorough.
ORIGINAL:
The
office
was
clean
and
beautiful,
and
the
office
manager
is
professional,
but
that
is
the
extent
of
my
positive
experience
with
this
office.
I
had
an
eye
exam
on
January
31,
and
paid
extra
to
receive
new
glasses
and
contact
lens
prescriptions.
I
was
told
I
could
receive
the
glasses
prescription
immediately,
but
I
would
have
to
wait
for
sample
contact
lenses
to
come
in
so
the
doctor
could
ensure
a
proper
fit
-
fine.
I
walked
out
with
a
singular
piece
of
paper
-
my
receipt.
First,
no
one
provided
me
with
my
glasses
prescription,
so
when
I
didn't
see
it
in
the
patient
portal
after
several
weeks,
I
stopped
into
the
office,
and
instead
of
immediately
providing
a
copy
of
my
prescription
(as
is
required
by
law),
I
had
to
go
back
and
forth
with
the
front
desk
staff
until
finally
the
office
manager
emailed
me
the
glasses
prescription
on
February
21
(she
is
incredibly
competent
and
patient,
and
no
matter
what
she's
being
paid,
probably
deserves
a
raise.)
Since
I
was
already
at
the
office,
and
it
had
been
three
weeks
since
my
exam,
I
inquired
about
the
sample
contacts.
I
was
told
that
one
had
come
in,
but
the
other
was
on
backorder.
Fine,
but
I
work
in
an
environment
where
glasses
are
impractical,
so
not
having
contacts
doesn't
work.
I
messaged
the
doctor
directly
on
March
1
to
thank
him
for
the
thorough
exam,
but
also
to
ask
when
I
would
be
able
to
receive
my
contact
Rx.
It
took
an
entire
week
to
receive
a
response,
and
only
at
that
point
did
the
doctor
offer
to
order
a
different
brand.
You'd
think
this
would
have
crossed
someone's
mind
in
less
than
5
weeks,
but
okay.
I
stopped
in
twice
between
the
doctor's
response
and
March
16,
when
I
AGAIN
messaged
the
doctor
to
ask
if
the
lenses
had
come
in,
and
if
not,
I
needed
a
copy
of
my
Rx
so
I
could
have
it
filled
elsewhere.
The
law
requires
my
prescription
to
be
provided
upon
request
("according
to
Education
Law
and
Regulations
you
must
provide
a
copy
of
the
prescription.
Section
29.1(b)(7)
of
the
Regents
Rules
state
that
it
is
unprofessional
conduct
for
a
licensee
to
fail
to
make
available
to
a
patient
or
client,
upon
request,
copies
of
documents
in
the
possession
or
under
the
control
of
the
licensee
which
have
been
prepared
and
paid
for
by
the
patient
or
client.")
I
did
not
receive
a
response
until
MARCH
25,
and
let
me
remind
you
that
my
exam
was
on
January
31.
The
response
read
as
follows:
"I
apologize
for
the
late
reply,
unfortunately
we
cannot
give
you
the
Rx
as
it
has
not
been
finalized
since
we
do
not
know
if
the
lenses
fit
yet.
If
you
do
deicide
to
go
else
where
which
is
totally
reasonable
and
understandable
they
would
have
to
start
from
scratch
as
we
need
to
confirm
that
the
lens
are
compatible
with
your
eyes.
Again
I
want
to
personally
apologize
for
this,
for
some
reason
multiple
contact
brands
are
still
on
back
order
and
many
patients
have
been
affected
by
this."
First
of
all,
"if
you
do
decide
to
go
elsewhere,"
is
a
trash
response,
as
that
would
require
me
to
pay
again
for
an
exam
that
I
ALREADY
PAID
FOR.
Second,
have
I
mentioned
that
the
law
requires
him
to
provide
the
measurements
he
took?
Good
to
mention
that
again.
Third,
does
anyone
care
about
a
*personal
apology*
when
the
service
you
paid
for
has
not
been
rendered
after
MONTHS?
The
consequence
of
which
is
that
I
CANNOT
SEE.
If
I
needed
insulin
and
it
was
on
backorder,
it
would
be
my
physician's
responsibility
to
find
an
alternative
until
my
normal
meds
became
available.
This
doctor
was
just
like,
"you
know,
we
have
the
measurements,
but
I'm
not
giving
them
to
you
even
though
the
law
requires
me
to
do
so,
because
the
brand
I
prefer
isn't
around.
Wait
or
go
somewhere
else
and
pay
again.
I
personally
apologize.
K
thx
bai."
JANUARY
31
TO
MARCH
29!
This
place
is
garbage.
