Such a peaceful place. A popular destination for locals and tourists alike. As it is situated at the entrance of Central Park, it tends to be the centre point for those who wants to quickly get away from the hussle and buzzle around them. Definately a place worth visiting in the summer but the winter colours and the wet weather made for some awesome pictures!

The Pond located on the southeast corner of the park one of my favorite spots in Central Park 24/7/365. It offers an abundance of riches for photographers with diverse vegetation, a variety of waterfowl including often large egrets and herons, and even a arched stone footbridge.

Wr love coming to this spot in central park. We usually being some bread and feed them to the ducks. It's very near the subway and there's lots to do here.

I've always loved Central Park and the pond in particular. But I'm an even bigger fan now after watching the four hottest models (and the fifth in reserve) playing some new game I've never seen before. I can't even remember the name now, (I was so distracted falling in Love) but it was like a mixture of handball and volleyball.

Close to southeast entrance and one of the most popular water features at Central Park.

The Pond located in Central Park, Manhattan is scenic area where you can just relax and enjoy the surroundings, watching the ducks or turtles. Entertainment fishing is allowed ( where you fish for relaxation but return the fish to the pond). Be sure to put on some 'repellent'πŸ˜‰

Picturesque duck pond which features a mysterious mandarin duck. This beautiful pond sits at the southeast corner of central park and can be seen from central park south. Situated in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the world, this urban pond has impressive skyline views, beautiful foliage during autumn and the Gapstow bridge seen in many movies. It's a great pond to sit at and feed the ducks and watch people. The area was already heavily trafficked with tourists, but it has become even more famous recently due to a brightly colored mandarin duck which has taken up residence there.

This place is a little slice of NYC beauty. Bird watching, giant carp, and a common picture spot. In the winter do NYC taxpayers a favor and stay off the damn ice.

I've been thinking about the ducks a lot, where they go during the winter and all. Asked a couple cab drivers where they went, gave me some phony answers. Decided to drop by and see them during the winter. Saw some dude drop a record on the way there, kinda funny, kinda sad. Man I miss those ducks.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Lots of bird activity! During a summer evening, we saw an osprey take off to do a lap and when he returned to what he thought was his branch, a heron had taken his spot! The osprey was as suprised as we were. During spring come for the swan babies (cygnets)!

πŸ‘ The central park! Its most amazing city park all over the new york. Great place for picnics and hangouts. Many water ponds and lakes. Few even have boating facilities. πŸ‘πŸ‘ Lovely spot for catching a sight of the turtles sunbathing, the ducks and geese floating by, and occasionally, the beautiful white swans. Some days, the water is filled with debris, which is so unfortunate as this lake provides a precious ecosystem to so many birds and water creatures.
