    I joined The Fit Lab about eight months ago, and am so happy that I did so. Feeling intimidated and unmotivated by larger classes and gyms that I was previously going to, I decided to sign up for personal training at TFL. Within a few months of sessions I learned so much about strength training, such as proper form and the importance of breathing (things they don't focus on in those larger classes I had taken like HIIT/spin/etc). I've since moved from personal training to small group training and enjoy it just as much. There are people of varying levels of fitness in the groups and all of the coaches truly take the time to accommodate and give tips/adjustments/attention to everyone. Shoutout to Jason for working with me on deadlift form over and over until I finally got it. Another big plus is that the owner/coach, Greg, takes the time to offer support outside of the gym by sharing helpful articles, checking in on goals & progress, giving nutrition advice, etc. It's clear that he really cares about the success of all TFL clients. Overall, I highly recommend The Fit Lab for anyone searching for an effective fitness program with a super knowledgeable group of coaches!

    I started at the FIT Lab in February 2022, and it truly changed my life style. I work as a nurse and was noticing that I was not strong enough nor efficiently using my core muscles for patient care. I was concerned that this weakness would lead to an injury. The FIT Lab creates a holistic plan for your fitness journey and truly incorporate your needs. All of the trainers are wonderful, knowledgable, and enthusiastic about fitness and wellbeing. In only four months, I feel physically and mentally stronger, and look forward to working out again. And, as an added bonus, I gained almost 3 pounds of muscle during my time! I would recommend FIT Lab to anyone in the Hoboken area!

    The FIT Lab excels in three main ways that have solidified my conviction in them as the top local choice for investing in fitness: 1) Trainers that are absolutely at the top of their game and passionate about exercise science. 2) Custom tailored approach - prior injury history, desired goals and work/lifestyle considerations are carefully factored into programming. 3) The people and culture at FIT lab create an environment that is inclusive, motivating and an absolute joy to be a part of. Thankful to have this gem in Hoboken and excited to see how their commitment to enhancement will continue to evolve the well-being of our community.

    I have been going to The Fit Lab consistently for a little over a year. After the pandemic, I tried numerous different classes in the Jersey City/Hoboken area and found it very difficult to get back into a workout routine that I really loved. The Fit Lab has been one of the best decisions I've made in the last year! It has not only helped me get back into a fitness routine but I look forward to going to class and can see what a difference it has made for me both physically and mentally. The team does a great job at making small group training sessions feel like personal training. All of the coaches are always checking your form and making sure that you are pushing yourself! I primarily workout with Jason but all of the coaches I have worked with are great! Greg, the owner, always pays close attention to each member. If you ever cancel a class last-minute, he usually checks-ins to make sure everything is okay! Highly recommend it!!

    I joined this gym a month ago with my significant other and we are both very happy with our experience. The partner training is a great option, the trainers are very nice and helpful, and they really know how to guide us and inspire us. They customize the workouts to our needs and interests, and they always monitor our performance and satisfaction. They also give us useful suggestions on nutrition and recovery, and they congratulate us on our achievements. I feel more energetic and confident, as well as closer to my partner, thanks to this gym and its wonderful staff. If you are looking for a place to get in shape with your loved one, look no further than this gym. You won’t regret it!

    I started going to FitLab Oct 2021. All the trainers are wonderful, knowledgeable guys. The classes/group training sessions have 4 people max and are fun! What really impresses me is the commitment each trainer has to tailoring activities to each individual member's abilities and progress, and to making sure you are doing exercises properly. I personally have some injuries and inflammation, and they have been giving me exercises that avoid flare-up and help strengthen other muscles to help alleviate pain. If you're a strength-training newbie (like myself), I'm happy to say they do a great job of easing you into everything.

    I’ve worked with several personal trainers over the years and FIT Lab is by far the best experience I’ve had. These guys have a method and every workout is tailored to perfection, with slow and steady progressive overload and increase in range of mobility session to session. I’ve had lower back and knee issues since high school that have made it difficult for me to stay consistent with my fitness routine. From day 1 at FIT Lab, the team here has been intentional on building a program that works for me and my body. I have never looked forward to my workouts as much as I do now. In the 3 months I’ve been  training with these guys, I can see massive improvement in my back and core strength, posture, and overall body composition. I’m acquiring good form and am finally able to set realistic fitness goals. Finally - about these awesome trainers! I’ve worked with Greg, Jason, and Steve and all three are great coaches and impressively knowledgeable. Most of my sessions have been with Jason and I’ve really appreciated his attention to detail and his willingness to explain the thought process behind certain movements and how the moves in a workout all link together. Overall, I could not give a higher recommendation for this place. Stop your research and sign up immediately - it’ll be worth it.

    Coming from a trainer in the city, I was looking for a trainer local yet the caliber I was used to. Being a former Division I athlete, I love being pushed to my potential safely. Ron, the trainer at FIT Lab, is amazing. He gives instruction yet keeps a pace that makes a great work out. Any athletes looking to improve their form and potential, see trainer Ron.

    I have been going to FitLab for the past 8 months and I couldn’t be more satisfied. The trainers are all extremely knowledgeable and enjoyable to work with. The classes and personal trainings are flexible and well worth their price. I have personally been working through some issues with my knee and all of the trainers have been so accommodating to adjust exercises and weight to help me reach my goals. Thank you to Greg, Jason, Pat, Ron, and Stephen for all of your hard work!

    I've been going to the FitLab for a couple of months now. I have had such a great experience with my trainer Ronald. He's patient, kind and most importantly extremely knowledgable in lifting/training. I have been taught me so much in terms of technique, breathing, and so much more. We've worked toward increasing my strength and I have started noticing in my SLT classes being able to hold positions for the full time, rather than once having to take a break. All of the trainers here are very friendly and make you feel at home. I highly recommend taking a chance with the FIT Lab. You won't regret it!

    After a couple of years of COVID workouts (virtual and/or by myself) I was looking for a place to level-up on my fitness and strength goals when I found the FIT Lab. Having participated in basically all of the workout trends (i.e. every trendy cardio class you can think of), I wanted more than just a fun experience - I wanted to learn - not just to follow along with an instructor. All of the trainers are knowledgeable, patient and highly observant. There is such a nuance to weight training - it's not just how to lift a weight, or the number of reps achieved. The true benefit is understanding how to coordinate your whole body to maximize effort. I never appreciated this before FIT Lab! I'm about 9 months in and I can honestly say that I am the fittest I have ever been in my life. If you are looking for a consistent workout with a great community (including some local pups), look no further than FIT Lab!

    I can't say enough about this gym! I started in early 2023 and was determined to improve my health, all thanks to my wife, who had been going there for over a year and convinced me to join her. Unlike my previous attempts at various gyms, this place is an absolute blast! The facility is spacious, packed with state-of-the-art equipment, making each session exciting. Plus, their flexible membership plans and accommodating management have saved me in times of emergencies and unplanned events. But what truly sets this gym apart are the incredible instructors. They're not just friendly; they're also incredibly knowledgeable. They tailor their instruction to your fitness level and body type, ensuring you get the most out of every workout. Whether in a personal lesson or a small group of up to six, the instructors are always attentive, making it a fun and engaging experience. They even keep track of your week-over-week progress and provide valuable feedback to help you reach your goals. The sense of community they've fostered here reflects their values. There are several members at the gym who have been coming here for years, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Since joining, my fitness level has soared, and I genuinely look forward to every session. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a fun and effective way to improve their health!

    I've been going to the FIT Lab along with my partner now for almost 9 months. It's been a totally different and refreshing experience in comparison to some of the other gyms and trainers I've worked with in the past. The team at FIT Lab are professionals who aren't dabbling in health and fitness, there's a consistent thoughtfulness applied to my program that makes me (and will make you) feel like you're not just another number like some of those 'other' gym chains. The trainers I've worked with (mostly Jason) have all been focused on helping me navigate some ongoing nerve issues I've had in my arms, and we've found new ways of targeting the same muscles that have made working out more enjoyable and effective. All of the trainers are regularly in sync with my previous routines and circumstances, so no matter who I train with, my workouts are up to date and tailored to my specific needs. What can I say? The gym is impeccably clean, the trainers know their stuff, and we even manage to have a few laughs between sets. I highly recommend you check these guys out if you're looking for a great small group or personal training experience.

    The Fit Lab provides an amazing experience, starting with the personal training sessions themselves but also extending to the check-in emails, booking process, and feeling like you're a member. I've been working with Jason specifically and very much started as a beginner, but he's given me the education, technique, and confidence to truly feel like I'm up-leveling my approach to fitness and working out. I can't recommend him, Greg, and the Fit Lab enough!!

    I would definitely recommend people to start training at Fit Lab. I started three months ago coming off a torn hamstring. I came in out of shape, needing a complete rebuild of my core and restrengthening of my legs. I spent much of my time before Fit Lab not focusing on the little things to help myself improve. Jason and the Fit Lab trainers have been able to strengthen my core and legs. In a short time period I’ve seen a big difference in my explosion and ability to move quicker and swifter. Jason and the rest of the team have been very easy to communicate with and more importantly they have been available.

    Extremely positive group of trainers! They have a great focus on form and injury prevention and will modify any workouts to better fit your body type and capabilities. Highly recommend for people with previous injuries, beginners to weight training, or anyone who is looking to improve their overall fitness.

    Amazing gym! The trainers are top rate. The scheduling is seamless. The gym itself is spotless with brand new equipment. If you're looking to learn how to properly lift, or if you want to build upon your existing skills, this is the place. Easily beats any big box or boutique gym in the area and sets a standard for how gyms should operate.

    I can’t say enough about The FIT Lab and its culture. Just a really great place and community. I’ve most recently been taking classes with Jason (who is excellent and knows more about breathing than I thought possible) but I’ve worked with all the trainers and each one has the ability and desire to legitimately listen to what someone is trying to achieve and then implement a thoughtful and customized approach, even in the small group sessions. As someone who has never been a “gym” person, they made me feel comfortable and welcomed from the first day (over four years ago) and have helped me create much better habits inside and outside the gym. Greg, the owner, consistently checks in and is a great source of knowledge across physical and mental well-being. I also have to say that their response during the pandemic was amazing. They organized getting home equipment for people and put out a ton of video content. They also hosted live video sessions which were definitely welcomed during those weird early months. Overall this is a motivated, knowledgeable, and caring team. I’m extremely grateful I found the FIT Lab!

    I have been going to the Fit Lab for 4 months. With the help of my personal trainer Jason, I have seen the biggest progress I have ever made in my body over the past 1.5 year of workout. Instead of directly jumping into all kinds of intensive workout (like what I received in other training studios/classes), they communicated with you on your goals to setup clear training strategies first. They focus on teaching techniques first before bumping up training load, which helped a lot as I could also apply these techniques in my own workout. I would highly recommend Fit Lab and Jason the trainer to everyone who wants to do workout professionally and efficiently!

    We have been working out at TFL for several years, starting just before Covid hit, primarily with Steve doing personal training / couple’s sessions. Fantastic gym and trainers - we have learned an incredible amount and the TFL community is super supportive. We moved from Hoboken to the suburbs and still keep going to TFL twice a week!!

    I’ve been going to TFL now 2-3x a week for about 2 months and my experience has been amazing. I do personal training and I mostly work with Ron but have also had a chance to work with Abu and Steve. All 3 trainers have been so great. They approach my time with them very thoughtfully. No matter who I’m working with they’re always educating me, correcting me, pushing me and curating my workouts based on my goals. In this short amount of time I’m seeing improvements both in and out of the gym which has been encouraging. Being a former college athlete who was seeking to find a way to get her confidence & mental/physical competitive edge back, TFL has helped me do that and more. Very excited to continue my training based on the progress and support so far!

    Joining The Fit Lab 2 years ago was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The trainers take special care with each person tailoring exercises and movement to each person’s different skillset and needs. I have done both Personal Training and Small Groups, and have always come out of a workout feeling like I accomplished a lot. The trainers are also available for consultation outside workouts and really provide an A+ Service and Experience. Working primarily with Jason and Steve myself, they both have pushed me and have helped me gain new levels of confidence I had never had with workouts and fitness, and it has helped me gain a new appreciation and love for living a healthier lifestyle. I now travel from the Upper West Side in Manhattan since moving, just to keep training with these guys. They are that good

    I've been working with the trainers at The FIT Lab for a full year now and I will say that it has been an amazing experience. The entire coaching staff have been incredible. Starting in PT I was getting personalized coaching to make sure that I was getting the most out of every exercise. The last thing you want to do is have poor form when lifting and end up hurting yourself. I no longer have that worry after having proper form cemented into my brain. After switching to Small Group Personal Training I am able to continue to get the personal touch I need to make sure I am doing the exercise properly along with being able to workout with others. I am happy to say that I feel stronger now than I did over a decade ago while in college. Every trainer here that I've had the pleasure to work with has helped me along the way. You can really tell that all of them love what they do and that they take time to continuously improve their own knowledge so that they can pass on the benefits to you. Even after moving further away, I still keep coming back six months later because it's that good of an experience. The gym is always neatly organized and everyone that attends classes always is willing to assist with the cleanup to make sure the gym is in the same condition that it was when we entered. Just an overall great vibe.

    Greg and the team at The Fit Lab have created an gym environment that is positive and engaging. While classes are small group, they still give each person individual attention and encouragement, so the experience still feels uniquely tailored to each member. There is a simple pattern to the workouts that makes it easy to schedule each week with flexibility while not being boring or redundant. With a busy work schedule, city commute and frequent travel, it is still very convenient to attended classes and feel motivated. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable and are all great to work with. It is very clear they care not only about the gym but each member.

    If you want extremely knowledgeable trainers who tailor workouts to your needs, plus a positive and fun environment, Fit Lab is the place to be. I went here for a year and learned invaluable tips for how to workout the right way and prevent injuries. All the trainers I have worked with there have been wonderful. I have experienced and witnessed them helping people through various specific fitness goals and issues, and have appreciated the personal attention they give. Greg (owner) also offers nutrition advice and accountability calls, plus regularly shares useful articles that can be helpful for anyone’s fitness journey. I miss going to Fit Lab but if anyone wants help with their fitness goals this is the place in town I would recommend!

    I've worked out at many different gyms and facilities over the years - with varying results and satisfaction. Most commonly because the places I was exercising had large class sizes and had to use a "one size fits all" approach. In contrast, at the FIT Lab they work with me to find the best exercises for each target muscle group while also recognizing my personal physical limitations and biases. I've been able to work harder without any risk of injury - which frankly is a wonderful feeling. All of the instructors have been professional, personable, approachable and deeply engaged in helping me succeed. I highly recommend trying their approach to fitness!
