Never felt the need to review anywhere before my HORRIBLE experience at this MedRite Urgent Care. I was there at 9:10am when the supposedly opened at 9am. There was a line half-way down the block. It moved at a snails pace. Only once did someone come out to offer anyone information. They said something about their “provider” not being there. Who knows what the hell that meant? Finally got in to get my test at 10:30am. After which, I was told by the women administering the test I could get a print out of my test in 10 minutes (30 minutes via the patient portal). In order to do that however I had to talk to someone at the front desk, but the front desk had managed to let 9 people (I counted) clumped in together. I wasn’t going to stand there indoors at a COVID testing facility and wait for a result. I waited outside. There was a woman who was miserable creating a barrier for people to wait in line outside… I asked her what do I do if I’m waiting for a printout… she said “wait here” and somehow she’ll magically come find me??? The chaos continued with too many people at the desk. After 20minutes I decided to use the patient portal to get results. 2hours later still no result. They said 30 in the office!!!!! How does anyone in this city expect people to get tested when they need to if this is how our city’s urgent cares are run. Pathetic. Will never go here again.

Came for a pre-employment drug test and was in and out in 10minutes. Entered my information online and then headed to the facility. Was quickly checked in and then called back even though there was several other people there (various reasons to be there). Very easy and quick process. Facility was clean and staff was very kind and professional. I would go back regarding any medical needs.

Medrite urgent care is a circus! I waiter for over 5 hours in the freezing cold to be covid tested. Despite that, I remained super patient. That is until I watched countless people who arrived well after me be seen before me. In fact, I was only seen after I made a fuss about it in order to pacify me. Once inside, I learned that there was no order to how people were being called in and that staff were moving at a leisurely pace completely disconnected from the reality that there was a mob of desperate freezing people outside waiting to be tested, many or which were visibly unwell or in danger of missing their flights. This urgent care is operated so poorly that frankly I feel it ethically necessary to report it to the appropriate health care authorities as a matter of public health. To add, while I received my results right away, a friend who was tested at the same time has not received his results over 12 hours later.

It's unfair for the already registered clients to have to wait in line & watch those who are just submitting their credentials to go ahead of the line that goes all the way to 10th Ave .It's been 3 hours waiting on the COVID testing line already without seeing anyone and I've been registered since July to this Medrite.Really unfair

Edit to provide the update that despite the place's rely saying to contact their service team as if they are looking to address your concerns, after you send the email, no one ever responds. Original review: For anyone considering coming to this location, please note it is true that the staff and doctor are very nice and there's nothing wrong with the care provided when you are there. However, they have the worst after-visit care I've ever seen. Actually, it would have been better if it's the worst after-visit care because that means at least I would have received something. When I left, the doctor very nicely told me to call him if my condition does not get better within a few days and emphasized that a few times. From the conversation, the expectation is clear that I will be speaking with him to discuss next steps. Since I wasn't getting any better, I called every. single. day. I go through the long process of listening to their automatic menu selection, give all my information to someone, get told someone will call me back, and then no one ever calls me back. I repeat the same process the next day. Fast forward over a week of calling everyday, I refused to "receive a call back" and finally got through to someone (and got hung up on and had to call again). It was not my doctor but someone who has no knowledge of my condition and the only thing she can tell me is to go in to the office to be seen again. Basically, to go through the same thing I went through the first time I came in and maybe more tests. I asked to speak to the doctor I saw because he's the one who knows my condition and the mutual understanding was that it's a clear condition and only a matter of how to control the symptoms. I was told that after care is different and unless you go in, it's basically impossible to be able to speak to the doctor you saw. She can "try" but hinted there is no way I will be able to speak to the doctor and no way someone will call me back. First, don't promise something when you know you can't deliver because that is deception. It could be that the doctor I saw would have also asked me to do more tests, but I should hear it from him. Second, if I have a much more serious condition, this inability to get a hold of anyone for a week after calling everyday would have caused me serious danger, especially for people self-paying and can't drop hundreds at every "casual follow up" visit.

Horrible experience with them. They’re very irresponsible and unprofessional. I went there twice for antigen covid test. First time when I when there, they lost my samples and I wasn’t able to get the results even though I’ve waited for two hours to take the test. Second time I visited, they didn’t stop chatting even I was there for help so I needed to wait for the receptionist. When I talked to the receptionist finally, I found out the covid test isn’t free anymore. I asked him there is any way to find out if my insurance covers it before I take the test but what he kept saying was sign for the documents which said I’ll have a responsibility for $125 payment for the test if my insurance company doesn't. He already had my insurance card so I asked him if he can make a phone call for me. He was just laughing at me. There was no any patient besides me, they were just chatting each other, if he doesn’t help their patients, what he’s there for? I eventually gave up and left. I will never ever go back to the place again.

First of all the facility is lovely modern and clean. Secondly the staff and medical Team are efficient and care with empathy… and Thirdly, your you’re in and out in perfect timing! They became my #1 Primary Care Facility!

Staff i was greeted by are friendly almost feels as if everyone is a neighborhood friend makes you feel comfortable. I can tell they all have a bond like family what a work place should really be about. I was greeted with kindness by front desk i popped in for quick questions and concerns and was helped on the spot . Will be stopping by soon once my insurance is all set 😂.

I had to get a dog bite stitched up and the physician saw me was excellent. Great bedside manners, explained the procedure thoroughly and made me feel at ease while I was still in a state of shock. The front desk staff were very friendly and kind. The clinic was also very clean and offered hand sanitizer everywhere. I never had to wait longer than 5minutes to be seen. My only negative point was that the nursing staff was hit or miss.

Some of the nicest staff in all of urgent care. Everyone from the front desk to the nurse to the doctor made me feel comfortable and safe. It felt like a personal experience that was a welcome change to what I am used to. Would recommend to anyone.

I fell and broke my left foot, and it was so painful! I couldn't put any weight on my left leg, so was hopping around in a lot of pain. I came to Medrite and they were so nice, responsive, and helpful, that it literally made the pain less - without medication! From the moment I walked in, front-desk staff was amazing. I didn't catch the gentleman's name (he has glasses and a shaved head), but he was so understanding, and had someone get me a wheelchair ASAP bc I was literally hopping on one foot. It was super-easy to register, and I got seen almost immediately (waited < 5 minutes). Dr. Nuwabie (sp?) was my doctor and he is one of the smartest, nicest, and most-professional doctors I have met! I wish he could be my primary care physician. He explained very clearly, thoughtfully, and concisely what was wrong with my foot, and how to best have it heal. He gave a few different recommendations and things to watch out for, and then read my x-rays (the x-ray process was very fast as well!). Foot fractures are notoriously difficult to read, so he then got a radiologist's second opinion. Very responsible and kind of him. Eva was the nurse who helped me get around to and from the x-ray room, and get my crutches fitted. She is just incredible! She took my height and weight, then came back with brand-new crutches that fit perfectly. She watched me use them, gave me some corrections, and was wonderfully patient and kind. She gave me so much peace of mind during a very stressful time. She is smart, knowledgeable, and has awesome bedside manner. Thank you MedRite. I wish you could be my primary care physician's office! Next time I have an issue (I hope in a very long time!), I will see you again. In the meantime, anyone who is suffering from an acute ailment - go to MedRite!

I got to say I was a little apprehensive in going to MedRite with the soso reviews. But from the moment I walked in it was nothing but great service. Was checked in within seconds sat down 2 mins later and was seen by a nurse named EVA. She was very nice and very professional. She made me feel like I wasn't in a clinic. Great personality took the time to hear all my concerns and talked me through each process even when cleaning my ears. She made sure that I was okay and I told her "I'm better then okay I can finally hear everything." EVA then went to take blood and I was a little nervous because I'm always stuck multiple times, but Eva did it in one shot and I was amazed. Then doctor Mallory came in and she was equally amazing! I never received such service in a clinic before. Mallory was kind, Respectful, and heard each one of my concerns. FINALLY a doctor the listens to the patients. I will most definitely come back here thank you EVA and MALLORY

I dropped by while I was in NYC to get my PCR test to fly. The staff were super polite and helped me through the process. The line isn’t too long, I just registered online to save me some time and got my results via text so I didn’t have to worry. Any issues, you could always call in, they are super nice and efficient. I made all my siblings and friends go here as well since I had a great experience.

You guys are the best!! I have consistently come to this clinic for a variety of worries due to 4 yrs if medical trauma and they are so respectfully, fast, effective, ans great listeners to their patients. The latter being so essential after 4yra if medical gaslighting at OTHER Places!!

It is a pleasure to walk into this facility, the receptionists are kind and professional, and they maintain patients' confidentiality without asking personal questions in the presence of other patients. The wait is not long, the facility Is very clean, they have a section to entertain children and distract them. I have been a customer/ patient to this facility for over 8 years and I will continue coming to this facility because the Doctors and reception always make me feel welcome. This clinic was the best! It was the easiest and most efficient Drs visit I have ever had! Everyone was friendly and it was so quick. Just wish we had one of these in Texas.

I have had to use this conveniently located spot twice for urgent care and both times the clinic staff performed above expectations. I had no wait (the potential wait time was my biggest fear before I got there), and the staff were all friendly, non-judgmental, empathetic and helpful. Also they can provide some medication on the spot which is rare for any medical facility. If you have something wrong that you need a doc to see, come here.

Walked-in and was greeted at front desk. Process moved along quickly and efficiently. Waited for 5 minutes and was called in. Friendly assistant, good review of my previous visit and did not wait long for physician assistant to examine me. Good suggestions, good overall care. Appreciated prompt prescriptions to nearby pharmacy. I certainly would recommend the care provided here.

My new employer requires a specific medical exam and luckily this location was available to accommodate my needs while I was on holiday. The front desk staff answered all my questions and helped me understand the process. The nurse and doctor were very knowledgeable and familiar with this particular exam, and they did a really nice job putting me at ease. 10/10 would recommend if you're in New York and looking for quality care with a sense of urgency and appreciation for customer's time.

The team at +MedRite Midtown is one of the nicest I've ever met at an urgent care facility. They are always friendly and quick to help you right away. I have gone here a few times now and every time the wait was less than 10 minutes to be seen and I left each time with antibiotics or medications when needed without having to wait for a pharmacy to fill my order. The doctor's are very professional and also extremely nice, and caring. I've never had an experience that was fast, addressed my issues and were friendly/caring throughout the visit. This has become my go to place and I highly recommend it!

Nurse Eva was super nice and helpful, she was very gentle. The doctor was very nice as well, he answered the questions that was asked. The receptionist was very pleasant, the place was very clean!!! Service was very quick!

I want to give this team 10 stars. Today I had blood work done and I passed out in the middle of a routine blood draw. They immediately sprang into action and then talked to me patiently for probably 20 minutes making sure I was ok. One of the doctors called me an hour later to ask how I was and offer follow up advice. This is a great group of humans

I came in with a problem foot, filled out some paperwork and was immediately taken to x-ray, had a diagnosis of a fractured toe within minutes and the doctor wrapped my toe and sent me on my way! It was fast, efficient, competent-what else do you want?

I have been a patient here for about 2 years and I really appreciate the staff because they always make sure each patient is taken care of. For the last year and a half so many patients have been there. The wait is long but your concerns are addressed in a professional manner. The medical assistant’ and Doctors are so friendly, kind and easy to talk with. I am thankful for the care I receive each time I have a medical concern. Fantastic staff all around, the check-in person, nurse, and doctor are very friendly. I saw Dr. Platzman, and he was very helpful, cared about my concerns, got me the medication I needed, and really took the time to make sure I was ok during my first visit and my follow-up. I came in at night but they still saw me very quickly. I’ve had such good experiences every time I visited, they are very deserving of their rating! I cannot recommend this center enough.

I initially Googled Medrite Midtown West Urgent Care after being directed here for a standard pre-employment drug screening/physical. I noticed that there were several other locations, including a few that are much closer to my home, but this was the location that I was directed to by the employer. The first two reviews that I saw were polar opposites. The first raved about how polite & efficient the staff were. The second review complained that they were slow, & disorganized. After my experience, I’m siding with the former. I walked in at about 3pm on a weekday, & there was another visitor in front of me at the desk. I stood a few feet behind him, waiting. I was greeted quickly by another staff member, who said that he could help me if I stepped to the right side of the counter. He was very polite, & quickly explained their sign-in process, which requires you to scan a QR code with your phone, fill out your information, & scan/upload photos of your ID. I found the process to be simple, but I imagine that if you’d walked in with a true medical emergency, it might be difficult. There were 3 other visitors in the waiting area, & they were all called into the patient area quickly. I myself only waited about 7 minutes, before I was taken for my exam. The nurse that assisted me was also incredibly polite. After reading an eye chart, providing blood & urine samples, & having my blood pressure taken, she double checked my paperwork, & made sure that I witnessed the samples being sealed. I saw the doctor right after, & he was just like the rest of the staff; friendly, & informative. The entire process took about 45 minutes. While I can’t comment on the other Medrite locations, I definitely understand why my employer chose THIS particular location. Easily a 5⭐️operation.

I am a swedish citizen who was a bit troubled about how everything should work out when I had to seek medical attention during my holiday in NYC. I had no need to be worried - the staff at Medrite Medical Care made me feel safe and well taken care of as they were very professional as well as friendly, perhaps the warmest welcome I ever got at a medical center.

I've been to many other urgent care offices in the area and they are definitely the most thorough and friendly. Katherine Bond was very attentive and ordered blood work and an ekg which I didn't even know urgent care centers could do. She seemed genuinely interest in making sure that everything is normal instead of just stating go to your primary care doctor which is what I get most of the time.

The nurse that saw me was very kind and compassionate, but the doctor only saw me for less than 5 minutes total. I had to get an x ray and they didn’t even show me the x ray and point out what was wrong. All he did was refer me to a specialist. I could’ve just gone there myself instead of coming here

Dr. Mallory was amazing. So welcoming and helpful. The front desk was also wonderful. Offered me a lolli pop which made my day. I called my boyfriend right after my visit to tell him to flawless my experience was. It’s not common to have a great urgent care experience but I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Everyone there was SO nice and made me feel comfortable getting my blood drawn since I faint so easily. Eva was an absolute super star as well and made me feel so comfortable and calm, and she was so efficient. Best experience I’ve had with a doctors office I’d give 1,000 stars if I could!

Front desk great. Friendly and efficient Kayla the MA very good as well. Good interpersonal skills. Efficient intake. No doctor saw us, but Physician Assistant Alison Ramaeker got us out with a quick diagnosis and prescription. Only negative is Alison was maybe too quick - little personal engagement/empathy. Seemed she couldn’t be done with us quickly enough, which felt weird since we were the only people in the clinic. That said the visit served its purpose very well. In and out in half an hour.

I cannot rave enough about the professional urgent care provided by Dr. M. Platzman and his team consistently provide for myself and our family. Always friendly, efficient, welcoming, great care and clean environment. A mega plus in the neighborhood!

The staff were all very kind and accommodating. I brought both of my children in with strep, and the doctor was helpful and attentive. The nursing staff and front desk were very kind and professional as well.

I went early in the morning . This was one of the best experiences I had at an Urgent care. Front desk, James registered my information within few minutes. Medical assistant, Eva was friendly and quickly took my vitals while offering various testing based on my symptoms. My provider Alison, was great. I went in there because my ear was killing me, and got antibiotics at their clinic. Was able to return back to work. The overall care was smooth and efficient. Thank you

Nicole and Dr.Dhillon were eager to help and extremely efficient. They made sure to explain the tests, medication, and aftercare thoroughly and even gave recommendations! The front desk was the nicest staff I’ve ever encountered at an urgent care. Also, the location is very clean. Highly recommend, will be back.

First of all, the attendants at the entrance are a little cocky. I think it's too much for them to charge $150 for the TLC medical exam alone. It's a very simple process after all. It is possible to say the opposite for doctors and nurses. They were very involved and relevant.

Absolutely love this urgent care!!! The whole staff is incredibly helpful and just down right nice, great customer service as well! Dr. Platzman is who I see whenever I go and he is the best. I have never had any complaints about this location. I highly recommend to anyone who needs GOOD care right away.

Nice people working on the frontdesk. However, this clinic messed up my lab order and reordered the same test that was initially performed. Tried multiple times to ask their doctor to call me back regarding my test and they always say they will add a note or add you in the queue but I never received one single call from their doctor.

I when on a Saturday 06/10/23 at 2:45 and they close at 3pm and they did not take me because they already had clean all rooms they said while I was in pain I asked to please take me because it wasn’t 3pm yet they said NO the lady kept saying we close in 10 minutes but it was 2:45 I asked her what time you close her response was we close in 10min. That was a horrible experience while I was in pain….

I was on vacation, tripped and fell on the High Line and found this great urgent care near my hotel. They took great care of me, fast x-rays, and diagnosis. The doctor and staff were so wonderful in my time of need. Highly recommend!

The clinic Medrite is truly exceptional! It was my first visit to this office and was a great experience. From the moment I entered the doors to the office, I felt welcomed, cared for, and completely at ease. I would like to thank the staff Mabel, John , Yami, Erika & James for their attention and for their wonderful patient service. Dr. Micheal Platzman has gone above and beyond to be sure that my complete health and wellness have been made first priority. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. I highly recommend becoming his patient! I will definitely be back and would recommend the practice!
