OMGGG WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE. One of my coworkers told me about it and we HAD AN AMAZING TIME. So with the ferry you can hop to all 5 boroughs in NYC. You can catch the ferry at any direction and at whatever stop you desire. The cost is $2.75 per ride but if you transfer from one boat to the next within the allocated time its a free transfer. The workers were available to help and guide you to your destination. If you get on at Pier 11 pay attention because numerous boats leave at the same time. You don’t want to get on a wrong boat. The boat move and the beautiful sunsets are amazing. Must do in NYC. The boats have outside upper and air conditioned lower seating. Very clean and snacks may be bought. pets are welcome for a $1.00 fee. Our pictures are from 6:45pm cruise to Astoria. Next week governors Island . Ill also leave a review for that

$2.75 gets you a fantastic ride that avoids the subway and provides some of NYC’s best scenery. Tourists, remember to not act stupid during morning and evening rush. There are multiple routes connecting the boroughs with transfers available at certain points like Wall st and E34th.

What a cost effective way to take in the sights of Manhattan from the river. It's well worth it and makes for a pleasant change from the trains - albeit less direct and slower. It's all very straight forward and easy to use - give it a go.

Great ferry service: well organized, clean and friendly. We went to Rockaway Beach and had a smooth ride. The tickets ($2.75) can be purchased on site or via the app. We used the app and all went fasr and without any issues. Definitely 👍🏻

Since we had already walked a lot, we wanted to get from Manhattan to Brooklyn quickly. We only had to wait a short time and it was really empty. Plus, New York looks great from the water too. A crossing is definitely worth it.

One of the best ways to see the city. I went from Roosevelt Island to Far Rockaway and the views were amazing. For the price, probably one of the best bangs for the buck you can get while visiting the City.

We took the ferry to Bay Ridge and it was a great trip to take with the ferry. I downloaded the app and bought the tickets online ahead of time. When you get to the ferry terminal you activate the tickets to use them. Definitely recommend. Employees are very professional and the ferry runs on time! Can’t wait to hop on Conley island ferry once it starts!

The ferry is awesome - but make sure you check the real time schedule every time, in my first week of regular ferrying i’ve seen it up to 19 min late and its no fun to sit on a cold dock 20 minutes longer than expected. BUT...Hands down nicest way to get around - so long as it goes where you need. There are concessions on board (beer, coffee, snacks). It has epic views, exceptionally kind staff, it is very clean. There is plenty of seating too - best kept NYC transport secret if you ask me! They even have an app to buy tickets and check the schedule.

Getting on the Ferry at Wall Street today, I was shocked that your "ferry guys" were handing out chocolate bars to everyone.......except me. Not sure if it's because I look like I'm from upper east side of NY, older male, or maybe they were only handing it out to women. The three knucklehead guys look like they had a combined IQ of 100.. Also, on start of trip at 90th street, the woman employee was giving the couple behind me a hard time because they weren't lined up in a perfect straight line. This couple was there before we arrived. Bottom line, many of the NYC Ferry employees look like high-school drop outs, strung-out, hung-over who seem to dislike East Side, older residents. What an amazing experience we met a New Yorker and his 6 year old son, both father and son had never been on a ferry even though they live in the city. The ferry was clean, really good trip lots of photo opportunities. Highly recommend if your a tourist and if your a local. Booked our tickets on line it was easy.

I paid $27.50 for a ten pack booklet at the booth. The tickets never printed out. I emailed the help desk. The initially gave me 10 tickets on the app. Then when it was time to board, I tried to open up the tickets and the app said they weren't there. The deck hand person even refused to let me on the ferry. I will like to warn people that their ticketing system is not working very well and to pay by credit card so you can dispute the charges. I will postpone using the ferry until my dispute with their billing department is resolve and I am compensated for the denial of service they caused me.

Very bad expérience with them ,from Brooklin to pier 11...all other ferries we took never had a problem and staff were Nice and helpful ,been waiting 20mn à ride to be refused entrance even so waited in right line because one Guy working there with blue bandana was only being racist and not welcoming tourists..just to say welcome to America when asked is that the right ferry and telling me back to the line ,I cannot answer when scanning tickets..very rude and useless man..other staff told me that no-one likes him and to complain as he's à complete morron..

Awful experience taking this ferry to Governor’s Island yesterday from Brooklyn. They did not have enough capacity to pick up all of the passengers from Governor’s Island to return us to Brooklyn. You cannot reserve timed tickets and they didn’t know how many spaces would be available on each ferry so we stood in line for over two hours only to not fit in THREE of the ferries that arrived. It was an incredibly Dangerous scenario with hundreds of people lined up on the pier for hours waiting for the ferries. In the end, we all had to take the Governor’s Island ferry to Manhattan and navigate our way back to Brooklyn on our own AFTER already paying for nyc ferry tickets. No apologies, barely any communication, and no assistance to the hundreds of families with small children and elderly ppl.

Difficulties finding tickets if you don't use app. Ridiculously hostile boarding staff, very disappointing.

Great Service! Very diligent staff, besides a couple which get very aggressive about the masks, even if you are drinking or already boarded. As tourists return, the lines at the ticket machines get really long and having just one machine, which sometimes throws errors, is not good planning. I've missed my trips twice now, which there were groups of tourists who did not know how to use the machines and created long lines.

Station looks like a third world country. It’s a shame being in the capital of the world. I’ve been to different ferry stations in Europe and they are much better (waiting area, departure announcements, long waiting lines in the cold, etc). They have actual people announcing the departures. Can you believe it?
