New hit local vegan spot! Must come by and try. Service is 10/10 even at the late night time we visited. Best vegan burger I have had in a long time. The staff kept saying it was just a Beyond Burger but it’s definitely the best burger out there! Fries are crispy and perfect. Not pictured are the pretzels and Brussel sprouts. Pretzel is great with the spicy mustard and other dipping sauce. Only food item that needs work is the Brussel sprouts but they were still good! Would prefer them crispier. Blackberry beer is amazing and best beer I have had in awhile as well. Paloma’s we’re also amazing. Will definitely be back!

Stopped in here for lunch. Beautiful space & lovely staff! I wanted a light, healthy summer lunch & they had a fantastic menu. The gazpacho was delish! I will be back to try more.

On June 17th, 2022, we went to the Whitney 2022 Biennial, and we wanted some LUXURY vegan experience to make the day feel like a really festive affair. We were *so* lucky to discover Belse on its opening week! This has the makings of an extremely successful Vegan High-End Restaurant. The atmosphere is lovely (but enough room not be crammed), the staff attentive and smart, and the food... is out-of-this-world — everything is divine!! Their great website features the menu with for each item: A realistic photo; the list of ingredients; the price. So go to their website now to see what you'd like! We started with a Vegan Blackberry Ale and the Coconut Mock Mojito (this place gets bonus points for having so many delicious mocktails, since I know many of my vegan friends also tend to be California sober!). The opportunity for feasting like this is so rare, we basically ordered everything we could eat. I recommend ALL the appetizers, and we didn't leave a single bite (to the amazement of the staff who aren't yet accustomed to the fact that they are in a Vegan Michelin!). — The Broccolini is a no brainer. Fresh vegetable. Beautifully braised. Yummy sauce (that isn't overpowering). — The Edamame Hummus is fresh, slightly tart, with a fullness that is lovely to spread on crudités and flatbread (our waiter, Craig, was so attentive, marvelous and tipped us off to the fact that we could order both for the hummus). — The Seasoned Fries were yummy, and while we thought they would not be anything special, we were wrong, the raspberry ketchup is addictive! — The Grilled Caesar is maybe the only thing that we both didn't love, but I really liked the grilled capers and the melting Romaine. — The Sausage Fennel Flatbread was perfect, especially if you've been craving vegan pizza. The cashew sauce is creamy and salty/savory, and each bite is delectable. After eating all of that, we were very, very glad that Craig had not yet put the mains in (the kitchen was so fast, it didn't delay anything, but gave us the option to reevaluate our appetite). We pulled one of our mains, and had the Eggplant Filet. It was this lightly grilled eggplant, with criss-cross on top to make sure the vegetable was evenly cooked, on a piece of polenta. We wrapped up with the Raw Cheesecake Cup (only thing that was a bit underwhelming). Evening was wonderful. Craig and staff were amazing. The food, in the end, was very affordable. I can't wait to go back to try what we didn't order this time! Long live, Belse!! Pros: the food is high-end, delicious, colorful, attentive staff (get Craig!), classy atmosphere, eclectic (pizza, vegetables, vegan wine/beer, ...)

Been here a couple times and it’s definitely one of my favorite vegan restaurants! The space is very big, yet cozy. The drinks and food are delicious! The only negative would be the service. The workers are nice, but seem to avoid my table every time I go. I’ve had to wait long times to place an order and I can never get the attention of a waiter (because they look down as they pass me). It’s super frustrating!

I am not a vegan, but I love eating began food. The beet carpaccio and hummus with edamame were great. We had the squash and zucchini flatbread as well which was tasty. The chocolate bark was good, but there was too much of it for two people. It would've been better served on ice cream with less chocolate. Overall, this place did not disappoint.

Certainly helped that I knew the owner of this fine vegetarian establishment. If you must (usually I don't) entertain one of your Vegan friends, I would recommend this place. Their beer selection is incredible. I would go back just for the beer. Wish they served some meat with their beer, however....

Great for a high end vegan dining experience! Ambiance and bar area were super nice however the seating seemed extremely close to one another.. we literally had to squeeze through to our table- i was touching arms with a stranger! Drinks were amazing!! Food was delicious but i felt as though it lacked originality. For example, the pumpkin pesto penne pasta just tasted like regular pesto pasta which i could make at home. When paying for quality and high end food I want it to taste like a unique experience!! We tried the macaroni salad, seasoned fries, butternut and squash flatbread, and pumpkin pesto penne! I really wanted to try the cheese board but couldnt get myself to pay $35 for 3 pieces of bread and cheese!! Although it was a good experience, I don’t know if itd be worth the price. Definitely would come back to taste their late night bar snacks…

I think I found where I’m going to celebrate my birthday! Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but the service and environment was so so welcoming. I think it’s such a cool experience, to see the beer that you’re drinking, being brewed right there. Belse has definitely become one of my go-to’s for date night! I ordered the charred broccolini and the butternut squash & zucchini flatbread. The chipotle aioli under the broccolini was incredible and the pickled onions are still on my mind. The squash and zucchini weren’t cooked all the way through, which I loved! I love my veggies with a little crunch to them. Next time, I’m definitely going to try the pesto pizza and the Brussels sprouts!

New trendy plant based restaurant - the food is delicious! My waiter William was great at guiding me through the best options on the menu. Some dishes are lighter than others (like the cauliflower main) which is good as it leaves enough space to enjoy their shared plates/starters and/or their delicious deserts (I had the dark chocolate one, which is enough to share for 2). I want to come back and try more dishes from their menu! As a side note, they have gender neutral bathrooms.

Wow!! The biggest vegan restaurant in NYC, and SO pretty. we now have the perfect spot for celebrating - birthdays, weddings, events, reunions. Came three times in one week! Favorites: sausage flatbread, THE APPLE SANDWICH (I know it sounds so unassuming but I promise you it hits all the spots like a cartwheel of flavors!) cheese plate (with locally made Rind Cheese), risotto, and the chocolate bark! Also the non alcoholic spritzers are so good.

Stopped in for lunch. Very quiet location, that took over the Paulaner spot that used to be here… Very nice staff, restaurant is a nice cheery place, with beer tanks near the bar and the back, brewing their own beer (although they also offer bottled beer from others). Had sausage and fennel flatbread, broccolini and fries for lunch. Everything was well prepared and tasty. If I didn’t walk by, I wouldn’t have known this place was here… It’s worth stopping in for a try… (And I’m a non-repentant meat eater…)

Great selection of draft beer made on site. The blackberry ale was refreshing in a hot day. The menu selections are unique and are delicious. I wish I lived in the area so I could try them all. Definitely will return when I visit NYC again. Staff was friendly and exceptional.

This has been one of the best Vegan Restaurants that I have ever been to in NYC. Their Indoor Dining is Huge with the Brewery inside. For Dinner, I had the Maitake Risotto which has creamy risotto, butternut squash, fresh chives, and sautéed maitake mushroom. I will definitely come back here to try more of their Menu items!

Couldn't wait for Belse to open and it did not disappoint! The restaurant itself is beautiful - light, bright, relaxed and SPACIOUS - which is hard to come by when looking for upscale vegan dining here in the city. Service was prompt and friendly. We came in during brunch so the menu was paired down but still had plenty of options. Will definitely be back for their larger lunch/dinner menu. We opted to try the Citrus Kale Salad and Apple Sandwich w/ fries. Our server recommended the sandwich and I see why - the flavors were interesting and seemed to change with each bite. Definitely recommend! Even the ketchup was leveled up. So happy to see elevated, higher-end vegan restaurants popping up in the city. Already looking forward to our next visit!

I really enjoyed myself here. The food is really good. My friends and i decided to order family style and taste different options. Highly recommend doing this. We had so much fun tasting all the delicious food. The beer is also really good. And they did a great job making the space open and inviting. I highly recommend this spot vegan or not you will really enjoy it!
