Wow, they really developed this area. Its very nice. Great place to go to take photos, take a stroll. It’s kid friendly. There’s a playground and a big field to kick a soccer ball or throw football or play frisbee.

Midtown Manhattan's skyline is an iconic panorama of towering skyscrapers, including landmarks like the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, and One World Trade Center. The area is bustling with activity, offering world-class shopping along Fifth Avenue, the vibrant atmosphere of Times Square, and the lush greenery of Bryant Park. The skyline is a dazzling display of modern architecture, reflecting the energy and dynamism of New York City. On the other side of the East River lies Long Island City, a rapidly growing neighborhood with its own unique charm. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Midtown Manhattan skyline. Long Island City blends industrial history with contemporary art, boasting cultural attractions like MoMA PS1 and the Noguchi Museum. The waterfront offers parks, recreational spaces, and a diverse culinary scene, making it a delightful destination just a stone's throw away from the bustling heart of Manhattan.

Watched 2013 July Manhattanhenge from Gantry Plaza State Park Recreational Dock, which is across from 42th street in Manhattan. Best Manhattan sunset skyline experience.

The pier at the Long Island sign and steel towers is a beautiful place to view the Manhattan skyline any time of the year. There’s are excellent restaurants nearby, walking distance; my favorite bring Maiella Italian restaurant behind the illuminated Pepsi sign.

This is arguably one of the best skylines you can get in New York. If you're in Manhattan, you can take the 7 line (purple). There's a small food shop in the middle of the park, and you can get burgers, lemonade, and those sorts of things. There are plenty of food trucks in the area selling empanadas and more. If you ever spend July 4th at this location, get there between 3 and 4 hours early to secure your spot. Snacks, drinks, and comfortable shoes are a MUST.

I went there on weekend to chill out with my friends. I do recommend this place for everyone especially family who have children. There are a lot of space that your kids might love. They can spend all of their energy here. If you wanna some city run this place also good answer.

This is hands-down one of the nicest place to catch the July 4 fireworks if you are on the other side of the FDR drive. The place gets pretty jammed since they let a lot of people on the pier but overall this place offers a fantastic view and all for fireworks barrages can be seen.
