I
have
been
coming
here
since
the
year
2001
and
became
a
patient
in
2011.
I
used
to
love
coming
to
Callen-Lorde.
It
used
to
be
such
a
vibrant,
happy
community
health
center
that
I
looked
forward
to
seeing
the
smiles
and
running
into
friends
and
acquaintances
whenever
I
was
there.
The
staff
had
always
been
there
for
years.
They
always
remembered
you.
They
smiled.
The
doctors
were
amazing.
The
blood
tech
were
amazing,
the
level
of
care
and
the
level
of
dentistry
in
the
state
of
the
art
dentistry
always
blew
me
away.
I
remember
when
people
could
only
wish
that
they
could
be
a
member
of
the
Chelsea
location,
but
they
were
at
capacity
for
years
and
I
felt
so
lucky
to
have
been
one
of
the
people
that
was
able
to
be
a
client.
Now
when
you
go
it's
like
a
morgue.
Everybody
is
upset.
All
of
the
staff
don't
smile.
They're
aggravated
you
can't
get
the
proper
dental
care
they
want
to
send
you
to
a
dental
school
because
they
don't
have
enough
staff
to
do
the
proper
dental
care.
The
doctors
don't
stay.
I
HAVE
HAD
A
NEW
DOCTOR
MANY
TIMES
OVER
THE
LAST
3
YEARS.
They
tell
you
that
insurance
only
allows
them
15
minutes
with
you
and
then
when
they
feel
they
can
help
anybody
because
there's
too
much
stress
they
quit.
So
once
you
find
a
doctor
that
you
like
a
couple
of
months
or
a
year
later
they
are
gone.
You
don't
feel
like
a
human
when
you
go
there.
You
are
just
your
first
name
and
your
date
of
birth
and
other
than
that
they
really
could
care
less.
You
have
to
make
an
appointment
to
get
a
blood
test
and
when
they
transfer
you
to
the
operator
to
make
the
appointment
they
have
to
leave
a
message
for
the
staff
to
call
you
back
and
they
never
do.
You
called
to
get
a
refill
for
your
prescription
and
that's
also
another
hassle.
I'm
going
to
start
looking
for
another
LGBTQ
health
care
facility
in
New
York
because
this
is
unacceptable.
If
Gal
Myer
was
still
there
he
would
be
appalled!
The
place
looks
run
down
and
falling
apart.
They
were
supposed
to
do
major
renovations
and
changes
to
upgrade
the
place
right
before
the
pandemic
and
now
it's
so
depressing.
Do
yourself
a
favor
and
find
somewhere
else
to
go.
