Very unprofessional, poorly managed and abusive staffs. I was going there for years. I used applied for my insurance there. When the clinic started expending the facility that meant you could have had multiple appointments there dentist, dermatology, adult medicine and so on. The receptionist would get very unprofessional towards the patients and complains when they would see you multiple in one month. When working I always made sure I had all my appointments together so I don’t constantly called out from work. On top of that the waiting room is long because the staffs always chatting with each other of the patients. When I was pregnant I was under observation because I was having abnormal bleeding during my pregnancy that meant I need to see my gyn once a week for follow up about the bleeding. When I was at the office talking to one of the staffs about what was safe to eat during pregnancy one lady who worked there turned around pretty much humiliated me attracting this negative attention in from of people to look at me trying to shame because she always saw me there. It was humiliated and embarrassed. I was horrified I decided to over come “the trying to shame me vibe” and make the appointment for a complain about the situation. It turned out that lady who was/is the director or in charge of the facility on Ryan center in Amsterdam was the same lady who unprofessionally embarrassed me in from of people. I was shocked I couldn’t really speak and said what I wanted to expresses the embarrassment she did. She laughed it off like it was no a big deal casually acting I like I was emotional. Over the years I witnessed a lot passive bullying. Technical staffs being condescending to patients to receptionist being rude and unprofessional. After that experience I had I looked for other clinics where they advocate for patients and who are more professional. From what I heard from people who are still going to Ryan center things haven’t changed and the staffs continue being unprofessional and rude. For better service just call you insurance and read reviews about them. But this clinic is the worst of the worst!!

Unprofessional, I believe their dentist that Asian guy violated HIPAA. He came out of the room while taking care of my son and said something about his treatment in the waiting area in front of the people that were waiting. I was shocked, very unprofessional. On another day, I was at the OB/gyn on 100th same thing happen staff talking about client chart in front of other clients. I'm done with this place. They need to retrain their staff about HIPAA.

Was and still one of the best places to receive medical care. I've been taking my son here since he was seven years old, he's now 31 and this is where he'll continue to go. The staff is well trained, well mannered, every member. I have never had a bad moment with anyone, which is extremely good as I've witnessed the renovation/transformation into what it's become. I highly recommend it to everyone. Keep up the great work. 😃😃😃

Pathetic, unprofessional, and ignorant customer service. I asked a woman, heavyweight, medium height at customer service to add Health First insurance to Medicaid on January 13. She assured me that Health First would be activated in February and I would get my card in the mail soon. A week later, I called Health First myself and found out that she didn't do anything. Now, the insurance will be activated in March because I missed January 15 enrollment deadline due to Ryan Health's customer service empty promises. Also, my surgery was postponed till a month later as well. The customer service put on a show of "working" but at the same time, nothing is done there.

Ridiculous attitude from the front office. Curt and rude. I asked the receptionist about doctors accepting new patients, and she literally said "You need to speak in complete sentences." I hung up. Not worth your time given the hundreds of other clinics in this city.

This place is a zoo. Third world count medicine. I have a great deal of experience in health care in NYC and I walked out. The doctor let someone interrupt our first meeting three times knocking on the door to our room. There was an aggressive confrontation in the Lobby just before my name was called. Over an hour wait. Stay far away from this place is you are concerned for your health

Dr Takyan Chan is completely unprofessional. She ruined my tooth and then made me wait for days to get it fixed. She also comes late for work. Check in people are slow and unhelpful. Also - there’s always at least 30 minute wait. The doctors are never on time

I went for a dental appointment there, they are the nicest people to deal with. I was referred somewhere else, as I needed a specialist. They took care of everything for me. They are kind and helpful to all patients. Jazmine was great!

Ryan's health on West 97th street in Columbus Avenue need to see a psychiatrist. They would not take me in on account of what I did in 2015. Here it is 2023 and an advocate from United healthcare contact. Ryan's health. And the minute I mentioned my name they immediately did not want me back. These people hold memories on you like a grudge. What's past this prolog I wish them a lot of luck for in the future in the year 3000 they may be going out of business sooner than you think. If you did an incident in 1973 and then in the year 3000 you come back to this place they will know you like anything else. Ryan's health is time for you to sweep. The place clean and forget about it lift the curtain up. Stop dwindling in the past.

If I could give them less than 1 star I would. I've been trying to make an appointment for over a month. I call everyday at different times, and I always get put on hold hearing "we are experiencing a high volume of calls", being on hold for over 25 minutes is ridiculous. Someone finally answered the phone made 1 of my 3, then put me on hold for another 15 minutes, transferred me to someone with a terrible attitude. She gave me the run around, and said you can't make that type of appointment with me, and transferred me to someone who wasn't even at their desk. So the call ended. I wish I could find a better doctor close to me, guess I'm stuck going here until I do. Terrible customer service, they NEVER answer the phone in a timely manner, expect to be put on hold for 20+ minutes, might as well go in person if you really need to speak to someone.

Be prepared for unending frustration and disappointment if you use Ryan Health for your provider. It's nearly impossible to get through on the phone (and then they rush you through the call often providing inaccurate or incomplete information because they have so many calls to answer), alternatively sometimes the phone lines are so backed up you are only offered a call back by your provider, referral service or prescription refill, say they will call you back and then DO NOT call you back. Similarly, if you use the Ryan Health website portal to communicate with your doctor or to get a prescription refill - the Dr's do not respond, and if there's an issue with your refill request they don't communicate it to you - they simply don't refill the prescription. Also, count on waiting multiple weeks for a referral unless you request a "rush" referral which will be completed in 2 weeks. Avoid Ryan Health if you can.

If you have a 9 o’clock appointment, you be out of there by 9:15 they do not check you properly. They don’t listen to you. they just want your insurance service is way too quick for me. They don’t answer questions and they don’t listen to you. The doctors have very nice attitudes however, they’re not helping you in anyway.oh and I was getting a ekg two different staff walked in and out of the room meanwhile I have to keep pulling down my shirt because a male nurse knocks then enter very uncomfortable and unprofessional

If you came 15 minutes later to your appointment they can not see you. But, if you came on time you have to wait around 2 hours to see the doctor. 👏🏼

The people who work there are great, but they overbooked the day I went and I see my doctor until 2hrs after my appt time. This apparently isn't out of the ordinary. Also, all lab techs had gone home by the time I was in, so they told me I had to come back for blood tests etc. Not doing that.

My doctor left this practice in December and I was told I would have uninterrupted care after she left. I had been getting a prescription filled since she left for months. Suddenly, I am unable to get a refill because I "haven't seen a new doctor." I asked for this to be taken care of immediately as it is not my fault that the doctor left and if I don't fill my prescription I will have an issue with my care. I was told i would have to wait 24-48 hours and that is the best they can do for me. I am out of town and could not be available for an in person appointment and was told I could not do an appointment over the phone.

I brought my kid there for a check up on a Saturday morning. We were called within 5 minutes of our appointment time. Dr. Majmudar examined my kid thoroughly and addressed all questions we had. She asked good questions to make sure her patient is getting good care. We really appreciate her kindness and professionalism! The bill was upfront so that we did not need to guess how much we would be billed. We are very grateful to find Ryan Health.

I’ve had a couple of decent doctor visits, but what a terrible place. Disorganized, there’s barely any doctors on site. Good luck getting a walk in if you need it, they won’t help you. Shameful.

They are always having a staff meeting yet scheduling people for appointments during the same time as the meeting is happening. Then you have to wait 30-40 mins after your scheduled appointment to be seen. I'm fed up and will be finiding a private doctor who will value me as a patient and my time.

Don’t rely on them to pick up the phone. Useless. Called 10 times and they keep putting the phone on mute so that you think no one answers. Completely unprofessional don’t even waste your time can never speak to a human anymore, it’s pretty sad being ppl need medical needs and can’t get them

I went to Ryan Health because it was on my healthcare plan, and was originally kind of nervous because of the reviews. I had an awesome experience. The front desk employees were really kind, not only to me but to everyone they interacted with. I saw Dr. Chavez and she was truly one of the most attentive doctors I've seen in many, many years. Don't let the reviews push you away-- there are lots of lovely people who work here!

Terrible receptionist attitude, go based on your gut feeling and never come here. Do not come here for prompt care. One of the worst medical facilities in Manhattan, I’ll be surprised if they don’t get shut down.

    1. The wait time is forever. I went for an annual physical exam, and spent the whole afternoon from lunch hour till they closed. 2. The doctor that I saw- Sophia Lutgen is incompetent. She put a wrong procedure on the referral, which made me waste hours and hours on the phone and the trip to different places. She put virtual colonoscopy on the referral letter for cancer screening. Apparently, virtual colonoscopy is not allowed for cancer screening - it has to be regular colonoscopy. As a patient who doesn't have this knowledge, I tried to make an appointment for virtual colonoscopy at an imaging center. Of course, the imaging center had a doubt, and asked me to call my doctor to obtain pre-authorization from my insurance. She or the referral department didn't do anything for 2 weeks, even after I called them multiple times. Now after 2 weeks, Dr. Lutgen suddenly changed the referral from virtual colonoscopy to regular colonoscopy, without even telling me. I only found this out after I paid the visit to Ryan health to speak with somebody in person after so many phone calls went nowhere. Now, after all this time I spent with the imaging center and the insurance company and Ryan Health for hours upon hours, I'm back to square one and have to find another place because an imaging center doesn't to regular colonoscopy. The person at the Ryan Health front desk said "oh, it's just a mistake, mistake happens." What a joke of a place Ryan Health is.

I have very good experiences here. The support staff are very good and really care if you care. They are friendly and think on their feet and you feel like you are getting personal care. Of course resources are thin and things can slip through the cracks but if you are an advocate for yourself or someone you care for they respond positively.

Not worth your time, brain cells or insurance. Do yourself a favor and find a doctor who creates a dialogue about your health. RCHC disguises violations of healthcare privacy and dismissive, superficial patient encounters as standard procedure. You are just as important as any one else. Don’t share anything with these people they wouldn’t share with you.

First time customer here at this location. I was a walk in without an appointment and was seen promptly. Very thorough examination. Asked many questions about my lifestyle and received my blood test results a few days later. Appreciate the professionalism and warm staff. Thank you all ! Keep caring and helping others you do it so well.

I recently joined the Center and I had a very positive experience with both the doctors and the staff . professional, efficient, and courteous. No delays in waiting, no complications in filling up the paperwork. I am amending the comment above that I made in August 2018. I am now much less impressed with the services. I have gone twice for a doctor's visit during November 2018. The fist time, I waited one hour after my set appointment time, then I was told that the doctor I came to see was no longer available (left for the day?) and that I was going to be seen by another doctor. I waited another 40 minutes but no doctor showed up so I gave up and went home. I came back two days later after making another doctor's appointment. This time the wait time was reasonable (1/2hr) but the doctor was clearly new in this center and knew none of the administrative requirements. She sent me to draw blood for analysis but she had no idea about the admin process (you would expect that the center would give her a minimum training on that score). I waited for over an hour to get a blood sample, then again I gave up when I saw no progress on the list of six people waiting ahead of me. The same six people waiting for one whole hour for a 5-minute procedure, and none of us was called in. I returned the next day, early morning and waited again, to no avail, for ½ hour (again one person ahead of me on the list but neither of us was called in). No indication whatsoever from the staff as to how long I was expected to wait. Nobody from the staff to talk to, to even ask the question. Very disorganized, inefficient and chaotic. There are very good people working there (both the medical staff and the admins), very caring and patient, but they are completely overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of people to treat.

Optometry care was great. My RX for vision was finally fixed. I didn’t realize how blind I was. When I looked through the lenses and I thought I had was Superwoman with super x-ray vision. All the details in the trees and clouds. After enjoying my new and approved vision, I came back to reality. I was like, okay, wow, this is how people actually see. Like all the time. I was missing out. No wonder I failed my road test four times!

My overall experience at Ryan Health was subpar. I was supposed to go back for a followup but they messed up the dates and the representative helping me out was very unpleasant and seemed annoyed the whole time. I do not recommend Ryan Health.

I was told that I had to go for a procedure at Mount Sinai they told me take medicine ,that medication made me bleed so heavyfor 5 days, I went for the procedure just to to be told that Dr Kintzer did not schedule it. When t complained I was told go some place else. Very unprofessional. Do not go.

I am a former patient here, but I stopped going a year or so ago after trying to book an appointment with the dental department several times but failing to ever speak to anyone. The answering machine was full, and no one ever responded to my emails. My mother just had her 3rd appointment in a row cancelled here, and she has finally given up and changed doctors. When we were seen by doctors, there was always a long wait time regardless of when we got there, or when the appointment was. Its an absolute waste of time and effort to try and be seen here.

Honestly thos place went from being one of the best clinics to the worst. They have so many unprofessional people work. The place is a mess. The manager does not know how to handle any situation. Doctors never stay. They come here out of school to practice, and leave in less than a year. I will recommend going to a different place
