I’ve had great experience seeing Dr. Mariz at his old office, and thus wanted to follow him to this place. However, after a call with their receptionist Tiffany I decided to cancel my appointment. Extremely unfriendly and unprofessional.

It's really hard to find a good gyno in the city and I was so happy to find Dr. Faina Gelman-Nisanov. She was so delightful and had wonderful bedside manor. 5 stars for Dr. Faina. However, when my bill came I was shocked. I went in for a pretty routine procedure and was charged $800 after insurance. On top of that, I was charged an extra doctor visit that in my opinion was unnecessary and unfair to require me to pay. When I tried explaining this to their billing department they could have cared less. I should have listened to other reviews (check Yelp) stating similar experiences and shocking bills. I unfortunately will have to find a new office and provider next time around after this rather expensive and frustrating experience.

One of the most unprofessional medical offices I’ve been to. Dr. Eana is awesome but the office staff is incredibly incompetent. I was told by the doctor that my prescription would be filled day of my appointment, which did not happen. I followed up six times because my pharmacy never received it. Each time I called, someone at Maiden Lane assured me the prescription would be filled and it never was. They were condescending and rude after I explained to them this was a time sensitive medication. There is a huge issue with follow through at this office and it’s concerning that there is a complete disregard for patient care.

My appointment with Faina Galmen-Nisanov started with unsolicited cosmetic surgery suggestions with unrelated body parts to my visit. To then followup and say I wouldn't be a good candidate so to be good with what I have. Mind you, I did not ask for feedback or show insecurity. Also, my lab results came back 2 weeks after my visit in which I was told I had an infection the entire time and needed medication. Dangerous territory. It's taken me a few months to want to write this review as I honestly would like to ignore and forget but the thought of a doctor treating another woman in this manor unsettles me.

First visiting this office. No wait time. Excellent time spent with my doctor. Great patient portal available for any follow up.

Terrible service. Was told that nothing was wrong with and I should just take ibuprofen for the constant pain I was in. Turns out it was a huge issue that is now requiring surgery. Months later they are trying to collect a co-payment, which was already paid at the time of the visit.

Called twice for get a physical copy of my ultrasound results, they said will call me when the copy is ready, but they never get back to me. And one of the front desk staff is not patient. Also they charge very high for the ultrasound. Even after insurance is still around $400. Don’t recommend.

I went to see Dr. Eana at this office who was wonderful!! Very kind, professional, and explained everything so clearly. The receptionist and nurse were very kind and attentive also. The office was very clean and super easy to get to. Will definitely return!

I received postpartum PT treatment with Maiden Lane for two months, with significant improvement. I had a great experience working with Kate. She is very professional, knowledgable, and patient. I feel much stronger, better, and more confident. I highly recommend her and this facility. (Kate speaks native-level Chinese and English, and is a great communicator.)

It was warm, even the scapula was warmed up! Everyone was friendly, smart and kind. It was wonderful being in an all-female practice for Gynecology!

I went in to see the doctor on Oct 11, doctor ordered blood work and asked me to come in at Oct 18 for the blood work. So I went to do the blood work on Oct 18. On Oct 18, it's just blood drawing, I did not see any doctor. And the office charged me fee of office visits twice, one for the visit of Oct 11, and one for Oct 18. Now I have to make many phone calls to argue about why i was charged the fee of seeing a specialist when I did not see any doctor. Very bad experience!!!! Did not recommend!!!!

Really smart doctors who are both personable yet professional. Dr. Gelman is the best! Also, the office plays upbeat trendy music that keeps you feeling comfortable and in good spirits.

Dr. Rachel Villanueva is incredible! She’s very nice and patient, and overall she has great, lovely energy!

Amazing OBGYN. dr. sarah adamic has one of the most professional and kindest personalities and makes you feel comfortable the entire team. she listens to all your concerns and provides practical efficient solutions. no wait time, everything done in building, highly recommend. will be having her for my primary care.

The whole experience from booking an appointment to actually seeing the doctor was great. Dr. Eana was wonderful! I have been looking for a good OBGYN and finally found it! Dr. Eana was professional and patient and answered all my questions in a very detailed and satisfactory manner. The technician was very polite and professional too. I have been a patient at Maiden Lane Medical for over a year now, and highly recommend the practice. Dr. Kate Zhang is my physical therapist and she is amazing. Not only do I fully trust her to handle my medical issues, but her bedside manner and general demeanor is excellent as well. I have had a rocky journey with physical therapy but Dr. Kate Zhang is always there to reassure me and help me progress again. I have seen numerous specialists and therapists over the past year, but none have made me as comfortable as her, which is why I always come to Maiden Lane.

The staff was amazing! I i was seen on time! I had an amazing blood draw experience. The check on and check out process was very fast and efficient. I would definitely recommend Dr Faina Gelman-Nisanov.

Dr. Faina Gelman-Nisanov has changed my mind about annuals. I’ve always hated the process, but she makes the experience so quick and painless. She makes you feel real and honest, without judgement and I really feel comfortable. I cannot recommend her enough!!!

At first I was iffy about this location (due to it being so out the way from where I live). But the staff are really friendly, and Dr. Eama was very sweet, a great listener, helpful. The wait time was short, I got there early so I was seen in a reasonable time

The front staff were kind, cheerful and helpful. My doctor was amazing, answered all my questions and gave me a lot of help & peace of mind. I felt very advocated for, my results and treatment came so quickly. 11/10!!

I came in for a consult to get my expired IUD replaced in March. It is now mid-August and I still have not had the procedure done. I've made 40+ calls to this office, my insurer, the specialty pharmacy - every time its a different story. The latest update is that apparently my doctor's NPI is registered in Texas, not New York. I'm incredibly frustrated and have started looking for another doctor.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING APPOINTMENT!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I know this is lengthy but it is worth reading. On March 30, 2022, I had the worst medical experience ever. I arrive at the office, check in and the sono tech brings me to the exam room. She asks me what brings me in and I tell her that the reason why I am in is that I am getting the liletta IUD. The sono tech replies and tells me the IUD is not in the office. Two weeks before I had my telehealth visit with Dr.Anik, she reassured me that the office always carries the liletta IUD’s and it is the quickest one I can get. Because of this, is why I decided to get the liletta IUD. Secondly, my original appointment was for the week prior, with all this being said my IUD should have been in office for my March 30th appointment. Thankfully, the sono tech stepped out and was able to find me a liletta IUD. This is when Dr. Faina Gelman- Nisanov comes in. She walks into the room without even any eye contact, from the door straight to the countertop that was in the room. She hands me over the consent form without even explaining it. Gelman explains to me that they usually do not do IUD insertions at the time of my appointment and they are usually booked earlier in the day. That comment felt passive-aggressive and rushed, she was telling me this because she wanted to leave. After everything was happening, I just wanted to get this over with. She was very rough, to begin with, I mentioned how the speculum was already uncomfortable and she proceed to rush and try to get the IUD in. Unfortunately, my cervix was very closed and the IUD couldn’t be inserted. I was in a lot of pain and had such abnormal cramps, when I sat up to speak to her, I felt like I was going to faint. Everything in the room became so dizzy and my hearing became so muffled, my head felt so light, I was almost about to faint. I put my phone camera to myself and I looked pale and lost color on my lips. Throughout the whole experience, Faina Gelman made me feel so rushed. The sono tech was so much more help than she was. Faina stepped out of the room and when she came in, she asked me how much longer I was going to take. How does a provider ask me that kind of question when I am on the verge of fainting ? ? I mentioned that my father was on his way from queens and would be here in 30-40 mins, and she proceeded to tell me that my options are to wait downstairs or in the cafe downstairs. Excuse me? Horrible bedside manners. First, she rushed the producer and then rushed me out in the condition I’m in. I asked if I can at least wait in the waiting room and she tells me no because they are closing. I too work in the medical field and I know how to treat my patients with care and have proper bedside manners. Clearly, she does not know, that “patients come first”. The downstairs in the Soho location is not even a lobby to sit in, there are only stairs and an elevator. The cafe next door? I was completely distraught and couldn’t believe she gave me those options and in the current health condition, I was in. What if I went downstairs or even to this cafe next door and fainted… what then? I will never be returning to Maiden Lane and Faina Gelman is a horrible provider.

I saw Sarah Adamic, NP for my annual routine exam and I ended up with close to $1000 bill. She is nice but this practice doesn’t seem to care about patients. They claimed it to the insurance company in a way that can NOT be part of my annual allowance. She seems to be a good listener and takes lots of notes. It seemed nice but according to a nice person from the insurance company, this is their way to charge anything possible. and I was told to better not to get too chatty. I am so afraid to come back to this practice.

Love this office and staff. I never look forward to annual visits but I still feel comfortable here because the providers are very genuine and kind and make me feel comfortable. Highly recommend Dr. Gelman and nurse practitioner Sarah, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing both of them and they’re both gentle and take their time to answer all your questions. The front desk staff is also speedy and made sure to make me aware that I would be seeing the NP since the doctor was out of the office. If you need a new GYN, go here for thorough and gentle care and a good experience every time.
