This office is completely dysfunctional. As many others here have noted, they are unprofessional and seem to not care at all about patients' well-being. I made an appointment in January 2023 to become a new patient of Dr. Heather Viola after researching many Mt. Sinai primary care providers. Her first available was in AUGUST, but I decided to wait and see her then. In the beginning of MAY, I received a call from her office unceremoniously cancelling that appointment "because she doesn't have time to see any new patients". So after waiting 4 months to see her, I now have to start from scratch to find another doctor and wait for their next new patient appointment. I see that Dr. Viola has time to go on CNN, social media and promote herself, but no time for new patients who have been patiently waiting MONTHS to see her? To add insult to injury, along the way when I called the office to see if there was an earlier opening, I was frequently disconnected. This office needs an overhaul. Before my primary care doctor retired, I was seen at Mt. Sinai's 14th Street practice without any problems. Beware of this practice!

I waited 5 plus weeks to see this Doctor and confirmed multiple times with office staff that Dr. Viola took my insurance. 2 days before my appointment I received a call from the office informing me that the Dr. did not take my Insurance. I was told by "Rebecca" that their staff had made a mistake but that if I still wanted to see the Doctor-the uninsured fee would be $400. SERIOUSLY? STAY AWAY- absolutely no regard for wasting a person's time. In this age of COVID the ineptitude of this office is INEXCUSABLE.

I have been a patient at Mount Sinai Doctors-Ansonia for over a year and I have been profoundly impressed with their entire medical team of doctors as well as their nurses and professional staff. My primary internist is Dr. Gabrielle Goldberg, however when I have needed to see another doctor, when she wasn’t available, every doctor has been great. Whenever I’ve had an appointment , I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes! Mount Sinai Doctors has a great portal and it’s very easy to use and my doctor responds quickly to my questions. Over the years, I have been a patient at many different medical practices and choosing Mount Sinai Doctors has definitely been one of my most brilliant decisions!

My Dr from this practice, Dr Anita Chekuri was great. After I made my annual physical appt I was told she left the practice and state. I was possibly changing insurance co. So I waited to see who to schedule with. Last week, I contracted what I thought were Shingles. My insurance has a 24/7 help line that connects you with a Dr.and through pics I sent they did diagnose me with Shingles late on Sat night. On Monday I called this practice for an appt to be certain and I was told the first available was Aug 5th. That’s like telling them I think I broke my ankle and them telling me to wait 3 weeks for an appt. AND I’m considered an existing patient. Really? You don’t allow for any visits for people that have to be seen right away? HORRIBLE. Will NOT return. Would have given negative stars if I could have. Disgraceful

Just had the best experience at this facility seeing a new GP. Everyone was courteous and I was seen immediately. The GP I had an appointment with, Dr. Laura Bock, is amazing, in case anyone is looking for a primary care physician.

Literally one of the nicest primary care offices imaginable. clean, modern, exceedingly friendly staff... I have no idea what the previous commenter was saying about long waits. It's a great waiting room and when you go to any doctor's office, you can expect some wait. I would say they move very quickly, he must have been there on a day where there was some hitch or complication. Anyhow, I love these people. If you can get in with them, do.

Great staff! Got me situated quickly. They were friendly and very helpful. The nurse who took my vitals was really nice and got the Dr in quickly. Dr. Moddou was awesome! She sat with me to explain my symptoms and got my prescription to the pharmacy in 15 mins. I am so glad I went to this location. 5 out of 5 stars!

I LOVE this office. They always accommodate me even with my wild schedule. My doctor (Dr. Carnavali) is fantastic and has been a beacon of validation especially now in light of COVID. The front desk is brimming with sweet humans who care, and the office itself is lovely! I feel comfortable here as a queer neurodivergent human. 10/10.

Dr Chekuri was an amazing physician and now that she has left this place lacks all heart. Awful experience. They simply no longer care. They called me at 6pm the night before an appointment I have had for over 2 months to tell me "oh, by the way we longer take your insurance, but you can self-pay if you like". The manager Chris is rude, unhelpful, and as it turns out lied to me. They do take my insurance. The level of incompetence here is staggering. Stay away.

I love my doctor here but if you get sick and need a same day appointment, forget about it. I had to go to Urgent Care because they couldn't fit me in for 2 more days. What's the point of a doctor's office if they can"t see sick patients.

I made an appointment online months ago. The appointment was today but yesterday I had still gotten no additional confirmation. I called twice and the first time, my message was not returned. The second time, they said my appointment was cancelled due to the doctor not taking new patients. They had noted in their system that they had left me a voicemail explaining this, but I never received such a message. I could have had an appointment at another practice by now if they had actually made the effort to confirm that I got their message. I have to wait another month to see a doctor at an actually responsive practice. I had time sensitive questions for the doctor that now must wait, or I can go to urgent care for a far higher charge.

😠 Pay your copay to be put in an exam room and left there for 45 minutes even when you have an appointment! My husband and I have been here twice this week and both times the wait was long, but today has been absurd. I really don't understand the good reviews- are they real or were they paid for or so...

😠 ZERO STARS*** Worst service ever! They made me wait 2.5 hours for a doctor just to ask me if I have any medical conditions and just sign a form. They gave me the form incomplete and also I had to come back because they did not ask me to sign it before sealing the envelope. On top of that, I had a la...

😠 The front desk turned me away at 10:29pm and I was so sick I refused to leave… at 10;47 pm , someone who looked more like them entered and they had no problem letting her check in for medical services. Maybe they have a problem w Spanish women I don’t know.

😠 Horrible doctors visit. I went in for a sore throat and cough and other symptoms, they did not check my lungs with a stethoscope or ask to listen to my cough. During the initial questioning the nurse asks patients, I answered and he actually was not listening to the point he had to ask me the questi...
