A wonderful museum Always different items on display from furniture to jewels to art. The staff is eager to answer any questions you may have. Entry is free which is a real bonus. A must stop when in the Rockefeller Center area.

No difference than other big museums when it comes to modern paintings. Great collection and free of charge. Seeing all the wealthy luxuriois people is bonus.

You can also visit the exhibition in the action house a week beforehand. Very interesting architecture. Is very centrally located. I would recommend visiting the current exhibition,

Very nice staff, but the traffic is ridiculous!

Always impressed with Christie’s auction house in Manhattan Elton John’s collection from his Atlanta home. Founded in 1766, Christie's is a world-leading art and luxury business. Renowned and trusted for its expert live and online auctions, as well as its bespoke private sales, Christie's offers a full portfolio of global services to its clients, including art appraisal, art financing, international real estate and education. Christie's has a physical presence in 46 countries, throughout the Americas, Europe, Middle East, and Asia Pacific, with flagship international sales hubs in New York, London, Hong Kong, Paris and Geneva. It also is the only international auction house authorized to hold sales in mainland China (Shanghai).

Every exchange with this group included a seemingly carefully crafted white lie that left the customer holding a relatively empty bag when compared to the pile of cash forked over to acquire it. Caught the door greeter, reception desk, pick-up desk, security, specialists and auction room desk in white lies that cumulatively led up to significant losses that makes one want to warn: fraud! Corporate culture appears rotten from my vantage and experience. Participate in business with this group only when absolutely necessary.

Best auction house. Love Christie's, their auction exhibits are always beautiful and exciting. I have even attended a conference there and that was very well done.

Really cool getting to see some of Elton John's belongings before they went on auction. Wasn't aware that they display a lot of things before putting them up. Will be back in the future.

Great place great coffee. Wonderful place to see art up close, most behind glass before it gets sold off

The staff were friendly and we found it interesting to look around; however, there wasn't much art available to view.

Didn't know this showroom existed until recently and I've lived in NYC for thirty years. Lovely way to see art that has been in private collector's hands and will go to other private collectors.

Of course, its fabulous because it sells fabulous things. Staff is a tad cold. Coffee shop area needs to be larger and better signage for the WC.

Great art by a blue chip auctioneer. Art is free to see during viewing hours, so check the viewing times on their website. Atmosphere is pretty relaxed.

An insanely long line to see the Paul Allen show. We were in line for 2 hours. Be forewarned. Once we were in it was uncrowded and the exhibits were amazing.

Christie's is a great gallery to see art. Before an auction they have the art on exhibit. Today I saw 2 Edward Hopper paintings. Most museum only have 1 on exhibit. I saw my first Basquit-wow!

I've never visited Christie's before the GeorgeMichael art auction. Did you know it's always free to visit? Did you know they have guest lectures? It's a beautiful gallery with diverse exhibits. I'll definitely visit again.

Too bad I'm only visiting, I wanted to place offers but most of the watches I like were online only or on a later date that I wouldn't be there. Other than that, seeing auctioned items personally is an experience on own.

Love it. Excellent article collection for the viewing. Knowledgeable and helpful stuff. Easy access from public transport. Subscribe to the house newsletter to have early notice for the auction events.

Croocks. They offered a broken Kangxi vase for sale for $3000 and when I discovered and withdrew my bid they claimed I "reneged" on the deal. Numerous attempts to clear up the matter by email and by recorded long distance phone calls only produced arrogant confirmation that this is their "policy"(!). Avoid.

Wonderful auction house. Be sure to visit when they have collection open for public viewing.
