Decent but not amazing bar in Rock Center. Overpriced (but that comes with the location.) Worth a visit, a repeat to be determined.

This nondescript townhouse in the middle of Rockefeller Center is a true gem. I suspect reservation’s to sit upstairs are a must but I can’t say for sure as we were someone’s guests. When you enter you are greeted by a doorman who will send you up a narrow flight of stairs. Pretty sure I saw a small elevator but check before you go. On the second floor is a open bar area seemingly standing room only. This is where the true host stand is. With a reservation we were ushered upstairs where we were seated at a small table. At 5pm on a Wednesday the room was empty, by 6:30 it was full. The menu is an array of small plates ranging from olives to a lobster roll. They offer an assortment of cocktails and mock-tails prices are typical for the area. It’s an elegant room before of after the theater or skating and certainly a place to visit if you plan to be in the area.

I'm not exactly sure how I stumbled upon this hidden gem, but Pebble Bar is a delightful and cozy establishment located near Rockefeller Center. You'll find this bar tucked away just behind the Radio City building. While the cocktail menu isn't the most extensive, everything I ordered was delicious. Even though I'm not typically a fan of whiskey, the cocktail featuring Irish whiskey and banana won me over. The prices for the cocktails themselves were reasonable, but when you add tax and tips, it can become a bit pricey.

beautiful old fashion of New York, the vibe remembers me of back to the future (the style of the rooms) or even American Psycho (the kind of people so full of themselves to realize that they are with other people). The best part is that you can forget that you talked with them and just annoy a good cup while relaxing.

Fantastic bar, really cozy but casual setting which you don’t really expect from being in Rockefeller Center. Recommend the upstairs bar on 3rd floor- the 2nd floor bar was super loud. Bar menu is great- love the onion dip and the lamb sliders. But the cocktails are Ben better. The menu is full of classics and also new things I’d never tried. Love the penicillin and paper plane.

We came here on a Friday at opening time after having lunch in the area, and were able to get the first seats at the bar. The space is unique for the area, occupying a converted townhouse adjacent to Radio City/Rockefeller Center. The cocktails were all well-made, and focuses on classics or derivations of. The space was fairly full when we left around 5pm, but the entire lower bar area is reserved for walk-ins. A great option for a good cocktail in the area that is a welcome change from the tourist-focused options that appear on every block in this part of Midtown.

Pebble bar is cool. Nice vibe, waiter and waitress were awesome. Docking it one star because it is unusually expensive. For thos prices I better be getting drunk with Cousin Greg and Pete Davidson.

It’s an interesting place in the middle of Rockefeller center area. The drinks and food were decent. I quite liked the deviled eggs. The banana foster drink was a little too intense for my taste but did taste like banana foster dessert. We tried the chips / dip and mushroom tartlet, the mushroom was pretty good. There was barely any lighting and it was quite loud, but other than that it’s a good bar.

Initially enjoyed the place as I walked in, bartenders were kind enough and the manager Pablo is an absolute sweetheart! However once we were seated our server, Menachem I believe his last name was, was extremely rude. Inattentive, combative, cold and just really truly awful. I was at a table of six and we all felt the same way about him. There was another female server whose name I didn’t catch that was very kind though. Food is good, seafood tower was okay, extremely expensive for what you get, this applies to all dishes especially the lobster roll. Overall would not recommend, nice ambiance, decent but overpriced drinks, same with the food. Once again though Pablo was terrific so if you run into him, just know he’s a sweetheart. Avoid Menachem at all costs, he is the bald gentleman. Will not be revisiting unfortunately!

The cocktails were pretty good and they had 3 or 4 beers and some wines available, but they should probably expand their list to justify return visits.

great ambiance !!! came on a friday night and it was busy but not crowded which was super perfect for catching up. drinks slightly on the pricier side (above $20 unless you get wine)? but nothing surprising for nyc 🤣 spent over $50 for 2 drinks banana foster looked so incredible (was a bit sweet but that’s ok) crimson and clover tasted somewhat like a whiskey sour.

I was very excited to try Pebble Bar after seeing it on many lists of the best cocktail bar in NYC. Unfortunately, I left confused as to why it made these lists. First, the service was inattentive and unfriendly. With better service, I might have stayed longer and had a other drink, but the bartender couldn't be bothered. As the place started to fill up, the crowd was...there is no nice way to say this...very uncool. Everyone was either a banker bro or a tourist. This is not the fault of the establishment, but does contribute significantly to the ambience, so I'm including it in my review. My drink was quite good, a riff on a Manhattan, but not good enough to make up for what this place lacks. Sadly, I won't be coming back to Pebble Bar.

Love this place it was the first time we visited and it didn't disappoint. Shout out to Sweeney the head bartender has a great sense of humor. We have added him to our list of favorites. We would have stayed longer but we made reservations someplace else for dinner. Will definitely go back for drinks and dinner.

Booked reservation online. No mention of time limit. Got there, sat down, thought our waitress Jennifer was really pleasant and friendly. We ordered bread & butter, got three large warm slices and a nice tasty hunk of butter. We also ordered the deviled eggs and the prosciutto tarte flambé. Everything comes in three, a little awkward considering more often than not people go in pairs, but they offered to add one extra egg for a premium. The eggs were supposed to have candied chicken brittle, but I couldn’t taste it. In my opinion, there was just too much going on with those eggs and you couldn’t really pull any particular flavor out of the mess other than deviled eggs, and something spicy on top, although I have to admit, the presentation was lovely. Drinks were well-made. The tart, however, wasn’t warm enough when it came out, and it seemed way too greasy and fatty to be anything other than difficult to eat. The worst part, after ordering a second round, just a few minutes later, the waitress comes out and tells us that the table is reserved for the next party and they’ve been waiting for five minutes. This was extremely unprofessional in my opinion seeing as how I was expected to pay an extra $21 for a drink that I was now going to have to chug. Unacceptable. When you seat a party at a table, you immediately let them know of any time restrictions, additionally, before they order their next drink, you let them know they are expected to leave in a certain timeframe. This information was not conveyed in a timely nor professional fashion and I truly feel like I was scammed into spending more money without being able to enjoy. Not sure I’ll be going back anytime soon, not really recommending it to anyone, unless you’re just going for a quick drink at the bar. It was also super loud in there - we were screaming the whole time.

We did not eat there, but a few of us stopped in the bar in the 2nd floor around 8pm in a Friday. It was busy without being overcrowded. The bartenders were friendly and knew what they were doing.

This is NOT a craft cocktail bar like its clever social media marketing would have one believe. The unenthusiastic, sloppy bartenders are clueless as to how to make any classic cocktails that's not on their menu and had to conference with each other and google. Basic cocktails are $20, and if one wants top shelf it's $4 extra. A $24 grey goose "martini" was made with no vermouth. Punishingly loud. Mostly interns from surrounding offices and more bizarrely, people on first or second dates. A bouncer guards the entrance. Same scene can be enjoyed much more cheaply a few blocks west, great cocktails can be had much more cheaply a few blocks north.

Do not go here, my cousin and I came to just grab a drink and had a horrible experience. We were not greeted, asked if we had a reservation and when I said come again due to the emptiness of the place the people sitting at the bar said "they don't speak English, they probably speak Spanish".. Immediately we left as the people this bar attracts is obviously not people one desires to be around. But what really got to me was the person on staff laughed and proceeded to ignore us instead of correcting the customer in a positive way that promoted inclusivity. I WISH I spoke Spanish (I speak 2 other languages but Spanish isn't one), also I'm black and white so they just made all sorts of assumptions.

We walked right by the entrance. Cool space, fancy cocktails, the bar tenders are very sophisticated. It was a bit of a raucous scene the night we went, but it seems like it's usually pretty upscale, like meeting a date or a business acquaintance for an after work drink.

Pebble bar was amazing! We had the best service and the martinis were to die for. Reservations are recommended but not required. Go early if not and enjoy before the reservations. Oyster season and the oysters did not disappoint also the steak tartare came with a surprise caviar topping that was a nice surprise. Highly recommend if in midtown!

A friend and I had drinks and appetizers here, first time for both of us. The hostess was lovely and our server, Jennifer, was incredible! She was funny and witty, and very savvy with her knowledge of beverages. If there are deviled eggs on the menu I must have them! These spicy little chicks did not disappoint. What did disappoint is that halfway through a round of drinks We were told that another reservation was waiting on our table and we had to leave. With no advance warning. Our drinks were quite strong and so we basically had to chug them and leave. My friend and I both hit the restroom before we left and as we were leaving we looked over and were very disappointed to see that our table table was still empty. The reservation did not indicate any type of timeframe.

This amazing little bar was recommended by work friends. We were not disappointed and the wait to get in on a Wednesday evening was WORTH it! We ended up going to the second floor and had amazing service by our bartender, "T". The Negroni is on tap and one of the best versions I've tasted. Rivals ones that I had previously in northern Italy. Our appetizer was a collection of mouth watering olives. We will definitely go back on our next trip to NYC!

What an awesome refreshing experience. Food was on point and the drinks were 10/10(Rawhide Margarita&Hurleys Old-Fashioned) Sir. Sweeney outdid himself behind the bar.

Loved the private entrance via elevator. The place reminds me of a hideaway from the 1920's. There were plenty of sofas and a few tables and chairs, even a fireplace, for decoration only. It was a really cozy setting. The wait staff was good and attentive. The drinks were great. The bartenders were very accommodating and fixed whatever you wanted. There was a great variety of passed hors d'oeuvres. The Lobster rolls are highly recommended! They were delicious! There was even a pianist to go along with our DJ. My only issue, and it's not a reflection on the management, was that the venue might have been a little too small for us. I think the place is good for about thirty people, but our corporate office has about forty or more people, so it was a little tight; however, I do recommend this venue for small gatherings or parties.

Attended an event at Johnny's. Loved the atmosphere and decor! It felt very cozy yet was spacious enough for the event for over 45 people. The drinks were also great - I really liked the mucho mucho amor. And the food was delicious - favorite was the mushroom tarte flambee

Perfect spot to grab a drink before SNL! Great ambiance, inventive cocktails, and an intimate space on the second floor. Hostess was great at eyeing down a table the moment one became available.

Went on a Friday night at 9 pm with a reservation. With a reservation you are seated on the third floor which is more of a sit down restaurant vibe. Second floor was also cute just smaller. Doorman was super nice and our server was fantastic. Its hard to find great spots in this area- will definitely be returning!

Drinks were good, waitstaff very kind. food portions are super small. $26 for four shrimps. My main issue, the top floor bar is very uncomfortable. It is very small, and if you are seated at one of the middle tables you can only hear everyone else talk. It’s really loud, like really really loud. I left after 20 minutes and a $100 tab. On a side note, I was one of only 3 guys in the top floor. The place was full.

Had a great girls night there! Drinks were amazing. I love how close it is to Rockefeller Center, and we did a little stroll after our drinks. A perfect night out!

Really poor experience here. I asked for a simple classic cocktail, and it’s clear the bartenders didn’t know how to make it. Ended up being extremely unbalanced and unpleasant. Went to the bar to ask for an adjustment and—despite it not being busy—was looked off by the staff. It’s a beautiful space in a handy location, sad that they didn’t take better care of us, particularly at that price point.
