Not being from New York, I had always heard a lot about Tao from my friends in New York & I finally decided to pay a visit to check out if it was worth the hype. I am happy to share that it not only met my expectations but actually surpassed my expectations. The vibe and the ambience is top notch & classy. The food was delicious especially chicken gyoza & chicken wing lollipops. Being a big fan of desserts the banana pudding didn’t disappoint as well but I would say not the best. As far as drinks, litchi martini stood out the most but they do have a good range of drinks as well. Overall, a wonderful experience and would stop by every time I am in New York.

The ambiance of this restaurant is Def unique & and set the tome for a fun night, unlike NYC. I t was a really nice dinning experience. I am looking forward to go back again.. I really enjoyed the salmon and the lobster fried rice Everything is stunning I did love the environment and how helpful was everyone. The appetizers and the tuna, I had for the main were okay but the dessert wasn’t. There was a strange flavor I think the plantain wasn’t clean enough. Everything was good until I tasted the dessert that changed my opinion about the place. Had the tao-tini and a Long Island which were the right balance of sweet and strong Moved on to starters. Had the chicken satay which was well seasoned and perfectly charred. For mains had the triple pork fried rice and Mongolian beef. The rice was alright and could’ve used a bit more seasoning but the well seasoned (and almost a bit too salty) Mongolian beef sauce helped balance the flavors.. The ambience is the show stopper, personally. It’s very beautiful and picturesque. Our waitress was on she could have been better but not going to really complain. The food was absolutely delicious. We tried everything on the menu. So rich in flavors

Had an amazing time here with my wife and our friends. Location wise very accessible with the A, C, E or L train. Its a great restaurant with a great ambiance. This place is packed like all in one place. Restaurant, bar and a club all in one place. Although food is on the pricey side (in my own opinion) the taste will definitely give justice to the price as food is delicious and its a big portion (we shared food). Will surely comeback here and recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great place to dine and enjoy.

You don't come here for the food, but rather the experience. Getting to your table can be a little chaotic. You can only check in once your entire group has arrived. Once that happens, you're out in a holding area that's a bit too small to accommodate everyone. We waited there about 10 minutes before being seated. We then waited an additional 20 minutes for our waiter to appear and serve us water. So service is a bit slow. I don't recommend you come here hungry, as not only will it take a while to get your food, but food is overpriced. Nevertheless, the place is stunning! The music was also really good but a bit loud, which is to be expected at this type of place. There are only 5 bathroom stalls for women and there's always a line. Not sure why such a big establishment has so little bathrooms. I think the main issue is women wanting to adjust their attire but since there's no privacy (it's a mixed bathroom) they do it the the stalls. There were 2 girls holding up a stall because one of the girl's dresses couldn't zip up.

Going for the first time is definitely a unique experience. The detailed decor inside is absolutely beautiful. It's recommended you check your coat in. We had reservations but even with reservations it still took 45 minutes to be seated. Be ready to pay when you come here for anything you get! My cocktail was $25 and it wasn't worth $15 by the taste. We ordered orange chicken with fried rice. I wasn't fond of the orange chicken. If I'm being honest it tasted like I ordered chicken from a Chinese place up the street and they just put it on a nice plate for which we paid $36 not including rice. Plus it was overcooked but we didn't make a fuss. Again I would recommend to go for a one-time experience. And that was all it was for me and will be for me... A one time experience.

We enjoyed a fantastic meal at Tao. Ordered various vegetarian options such as the Vegan Dim Sum Dumpling Platter, 8 Greens Fried Rice, Pad Thai Noodles, Chow Fun, and Charred Brussels Sprouts. Everything was delicious!

I recently dined at Tao, the experience was both delightful and sophisticated. The fusion of Asian flavors showcased a culinary expertise that elevated the dining experience. The restaurant's upscale ambiance added a touch of elegance to the overall visit. Highly recommend for those seeking a blend of exquisite taste and refined atmosphere.

This place has such an ambiance. The dim lighting and construction of the structural pieces in the restaurant is breath taking. We tried the waiter's recommendation for sushi (yellow tail and the crispy tuna) both amazing choices . I tried the lobster. and shrimp spring rolls that came with sweet and sour sauce. Very flavorful and the outside was crispy yet flaky (8-10). For my entree I had the Drunken Lobster noodles (10/10) which was great and I paired it with the miso cod. The cod does have a bit of extra saltiness to it but that in itself was tasty along with a side of spicy eggplant. The eggplant was phenomenal and gets a 10/10. For dessert I had the carrot cake that was shaped in a plant pot. I love the idea for the carrot cake and flavor wise it an 7.5/10. I felt like the crumbs placed on the carrot cake ( to mimic soil) were to crunchy and took away from being able to enjoy the creaminess of a carrot cake. The outside layer of the plant pot is made up of chocolate which was too much sweetness for my liking. All in all this place was amazing, I had a great time and I would definitely be returning.

Absolut stunning place. Atmosphere, food(!), company (family of four). The Tao Restaurant was the best place for dinner during our 2 weeks holidays. If the prices are within your budget, you are somewhat close to this place, make a reservation and go there. I will do so, next time I am in Manhattan. (The light, furniture, everything reminded me a bit of one of the Indiana Jones movies.) I had for starter my best Tuna Poke ever, main dish was at least as good, Beef & Broccoli.

If you want to have a good time and want to feel like you’re partying, this is the place to go. However, the food was just okay. The tempura roll was probably the best thing I had there. The rice was bland. Dumplings were okay. The music was great but it was really loud. It was very hard to have a conversation with someone sitting across from you. Service was okay but my server kept forgetting what I had ordered.

Beautiful venue that’s popping with all the music and people. The food it is ok and I’ve been here a few times and is consistently not great. Good not great, but clearly overpriced. The wine list, I suggest be careful as I noted a few bottles marked up 3-4x and I one I saw 8x. Most disappointing is the wait staff - they act entitled and not at all helpful. I’ve rated service a negative. This establishment seems incredibly popular in NYC and I struggle to understand how they have such a great reputation.

Ended my birthday at Tao. I had a really good dinner. The food was flavorful, just the right temperature and I was hungry for more. The music was on point; played my favorite jams! Having great food and listening to great music just made my night here on a Friday night. Definitely coming back here again. ☺️

What an amazing experience! TAO has been by far a top 5 fine dining experience for me. It felt like I was heading into a secret underground restaurant where only the rich and famous were allowed to dine. Everything from the food, service, and ambiance was exceptional. I've never tasted such exquisite food in my life. Still dreaming about the entire night at TAO.

My 15 year old daughter found this restaurant and we went for her birthday yesterday. We had such a great time, the food was mouth watering, very very delicious, the ambiance/decor was amazing. You would think that you are in another city. Our waiter Brian B was amazing, very helpful, and patient...he was everything. Excellent customer service and im big on customer service. If you are looking for a great restaurant for a romantic evening, girls night out or just to take the family..this would be it. 100% recommending.

Great atmosphere. I went for the first time for a birthday celebration and I was surprised to see that it was a chill and inviting atmosphere. I am not a fan of Asian food but this food was delicious! It was a really nice dinning experience. I am looking forward to go back again.. I really enjoyed the salmon and the lobster fried rice.

What a great experience, overall. Starting with the entrance and ambiance on the way to the reception. Definitely sets the mood for what's to come. I was welcomed very nicely. The manager seemed to be very busy on her phone. Not so friendly. The ambiance of this restaurant is Def unique & and set the tome for a fun night, unlike NYC. Our waitress was on she could have been better but not going to really complain. The food was absolutely delicious. We tried everything on the menu. So rich in flavors. This place is a must & a repeat. Cannot wait to come back. P.s. Don't try to steal the little boys. They will charge you.

Liked the unique decor for the food but the taste wasn't out of the world. I disliked out waitress since she only gave attention when it was around the time to pay the bill. I had to ask a couple of times or basic things such as water. I general she didn't deserve much of a tip but we ended up so tipping her. Anyways, the decor is alright but it's a hype.

I went for my birthday with family. The food is great and they have enough selections for vegetarians. The drinks were excellent. The atmosphere is great, they have some Instagram spots, even though the lighting could be better. Saw many tables using their phone to flash the light onto menu so that they can see. I would still recommend to try this place at least once.

I’ve been there twice for birthday celebrations and I loved it both times. The ambience is so soothing, they are very patient when taking your order and explain whatever you might not understand. Now the food, it’s awesome, plus it can be shared amongst yourselves. We were allowed to bring the cake in both times and they lit up the candles for us and brought it to us after our meal.

In one word: wow. This restaurant exceeded all expectations. The food is simply amazing, the atmosphere is delightful, and the music, especially for someone who enjoys rock, was fantastic. And the design? Just wow. I will definitely be returning.

Tao, wow! If you want an over sensory experience of light, art, decor and food, this is the place to come! Definitely worth the money and the food was amazing! Definitely an experience. The food, drinks and desert were just amazing. Whoever is cooking this food is a genius ! Love their eye for detail.. You can tell from the moment you open the doors that the whole place has been designed to create an unforgettable experience.

Had a pretty seamless experience here. Made a reservation, arrived on time, and was seated pretty quickly. Didn’t like the original spot they had and they were nice enough to find a different table. Started off with drinks. Had the tao-tini and a Long Island which were the right balance of sweet and strong Moved on to starters. Had the chicken satay which was well seasoned and perfectly charred. For mains had the triple pork fried rice and Mongolian beef. The rice was alright and could’ve used a bit more seasoning but the well seasoned (and almost a bit too salty) Mongolian beef sauce helped balance the flavors out. For dessert, had the chai crème brûlée which was really good! The ambience was nice, the music was appropriate and not too loud, and our server was friendly and attentive. Overall a good experience.

We had reservations for a Sunday night at 6 and it was packed! Service was great and staff was attentive. 🥘 Food was delicious! Portion sizes are on the smaller side but very tasty. The drinks weren’t too bad either. 📸 The ambience is the show stopper, personally. It’s very beautiful and picturesque. If you’re the “influencer” type and need photos with beautiful backdrops, this is your place. I would return and recommend.

I took my 17 year old daughter here for a special treat while visiting from the UK. Table booked for 7. Had about 30 minutes wait for table which wasn't ideal as we we're not allowed to sit a the bar to wait ( because daughter is under 21) so stood around awkwardly waiting. Once we got to our table everything else was great. Fantastic server who took time to answer questions about the menu. Food brought out with obvious care about how the food is presented on the table so we could get good pictures. The food itself was average. I would recommend the chicken popicles. Price was reasonable. Amazing atmosphere if you're looking for something a bit special.

Went last night with a friend to celebrate her birthday. We didn't have a reservation and took a chance sitting in the bar/lounge area. They were incredibly accommodating for it being 7:30pm and the staff was very helpful. The food and drinks were excellent and the service was on point. Special thanks to the manager Henry and our server Alex for a great dining experience!

This place is incredible. It’s even better than the Uptown location. I guess because it’s larger, has more secret decked out cubbies & sections. This place makes u feel like you in another world. Amazing! They no longer require proof of vaccination & masks to be worn. My waiter was proactive, happy, attentive, gave great recommendations & literally served us. My food was well done, presented beautifully & tasted sooo good. My favorite was my carrot cake dessert. It looked beautiful & was entirely edible. I’m so in love with TAO, I will be back OFTEN!
