I don’t know why this hotel has such high ratings. I was so beyond disappointed. I travel frequently and have never had an issue with the Hilton brand. However, this hotel was gross. From the moment we pulled up, even our 6 year old said he didn’t like the hotel. It was old and beat up, the front doors weren’t even all functional. Upon entry it was decent and the staff was very nice. Once we got to the elevator up to our room, it was hot. We walk into our room, hot. Closet door was broken, bathroom door looked as if it had been flooded and broken. Shower was dirty, walls were dirty, beds were much smaller than a queen size, there was no microwave, oh did I say it was hot? Yeah 76 degrees hot. The room was very small, dated, wallpaper coming off the walls, caulking coming off the bathrooms, connecting room door wouldn’t close correctly. 2nd day we were changed to another room in the Hilton honors floor. It was in a bit better condition as the doors were working and ac worked for a bit. We woke up again to almost 80 degrees inside the room and everyone sweating. We checked out and even the lady apologized indicated being well aware the hotel was gross and handed me 4 cookies lol. This hotel was so empty there wasn’t even an issue to find parking. We went to the Hyatt next door where my 6 year old said “I like this hotel much better.” To top it off, when I responded to their survey, they advised they got my feedback but couldn’t do any sort of compensation because I booked through a 3rd party. What kind of joke is that? Seriously, Hilton you gotta do better. Almost $300+ for our stay and it was horrible all around. The one thing that was good were the cookies.

While staying at this hotel For my daughters birthday we enjoyed our time . The food was great service & all but upon waking up the next morning I discovered blood on the side of the sheet . I myself am not bleeding nor are my two toddlers . I notified the manger immediately. He stated the room would be cleaned asap . This was around 9:22 am . It’s now 10:22 am & nothing has been done to my room. I’m happy I noticed it because it was tucked under on the side of the bed so if I wouldn’t have pulled the blankets completely up I wouldn’t have noticed. But I’m also very disgusted because I and my babies slept in the bed. I heard so many good things about the hotel but it’s seems cleanliness isn’t it. Hopefully they can improve in the future but I’m not happy. With all that is going on in the world at this time from COVID-19 to Monkey pox cleaning after EVERY guest to prevent transmission of any virus or bacteria should be TOP Priority !

It all started at reservation. When I arrived to check in, I was provided a single bed instead of my original reservation for double beds. When I addressed the confusion, desk lady said their were no room available and they would a " rollaway bed" for 25$ a night. I refused to pay an extra 25$ for something that should have already included in my reservation. They waived the fee bed. Later that evening room service never brought the bed. I had to go and ask them for it. An hour later which was 1am someone knocked on the door and left the bed by the door. My young son and I have to figure this thing out. Earlier that day I noticed the room was hot and the AC was set for 65° and the room was at 82° for well over an hour. That's when I noticed Nothing worked in room. AC never kept the room cool, shower was old and low pressure. The entire hotel was not sufficiently cool. Management lied about fixing the issues in my room. I will not give double tree my business. Nor will I recommend it to anyone. It was more comfortable in my truck the hotel.

When you walk into the hotel, you are greeted by an awesome staff who are very attentive. When you get to your room, you have to remember that this is an older hotel in the rooms are dated. I will say the water pressure and the hot water was amazing, especially after traveling and doing whatever duties that you're doing while I'm staying at the hotel. It's nice to come to a place where the water is hot and the beds are comfortable.

When we first got to the hotel it looked nice inside the staff was nice. When we got up to our room I checked the bed like I do every time. There was nasty napkins and trash behind the bed. We then made our way down to the pool where it was absolutely disgusting. The drains on the floor had big hair balls. Just the whole swim area was disgusting. We finally decided to go to bed, well that wasn’t a good idea because our ac wouldn’t work and the heat kept rising and we ended up with the room being 80 degrees and having to call maintenance. The AC stayed on for about 1.5 hours and went back off again. This morning the shower wasn’t working and we had no hot water. Took us 45 mins to get the shower to heat up. This place was very disappointing and disgusting

I booked this hotel because of the brand and hot tub, but hot tub didn’t work…. Dirty hotel with very old beat up furniture, bathroom. I even didn’t stay at night with my kids, because i scared that my kids could get dust and germs and viruses from bed and room, that’s why i checked out after a couple hours. In the swimming pool there weren’t towels and again was dirty…I didn’t spend night there and at front desk i told that the room is dirty and i want to check out and they didn’t say anything, but they were so nice and i liked cookie. But this hotel doesn’t worse that amount of money for small, dirty, old room….300$. it’s a big hotel with such a famous brand name Hilton and i don’t know why this location was like that how i described. I think they need some renovation and take in action deep cleaning and everything will be fine

Spent well over 150 nights at this hotel 2016 to 2020. It’s a shame this hotel has gone so downhill over the last few years. Used to have the best executive lounge, but that’s been closed for years, and got rid of Rita the hostess; She was awesome. Great employees trying hard to make up for unmaintained facilities. Van to midtown discontinued, which was one of the reasons I stayed here. Get your act back together.

So positives first. It was very easy to get to. Right off the New Jersey turnpike. Parking was very simple, plentiful, and free. The room I stayed in was a corner room and it was quiet for the most part. The room was also very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I like a softer bed. I would say the bed was about medium firmness. My corner room had a giant window with a view of the New Jersey turnpike. I did a digital check-in but had to go to the front desk to request a late checkout. The staff were exceedingly polite, professional and were able to meet my request easily. The negatives are things a lot of folks have stated in their reviews. The rooms are old and showing wear. Upon reviewing the posted pictures again before writing this review, I realized most of the photos listed on Google are from 6 to 7 years ago. When you stay in the room you can see that. The furniture is wooden and all of it had been scratched or had pieces that were peeled away. The rooms are exceedingly dim. There is one overhead light right by the door and everything else is desk or floor lamps. That coupled with the darker wall colors makes for a very dim room. The toilet in my room worked but was extremely loud upon filling. I was only staying for one night so I didn't bother to alert the front desk of this but it was so loud I had to close the bathroom door. The rooms are not very well sound proofed. Thankfully I was in a corner room without an adjoining room. So the only noise I could hear were my neighbor across the hall loudly opening and closing their door or chatting. Before I realized that's what it was, I had a small freak out that someone was coming into my room. But once I realized it was from across the hall it was less anxiety producing. Overall because it was clean, the bed was comfortable, it was a quick drive to tasty food, and I was only staying for one night, It was fine for me. It would not be a hotel I would choose to stay at again though until they refurbish it.

There were several issues: 1. AC was not working on day one 2. too much noise from adjacent highway - could not sleep well 3. one of the elevators was not working 4. no access to any public transport 5. no shuttle to bus stop or train station - which resulted paying huge parking fees 6. beds were worn out and there were dips at different places - affected our overall sleep 7. instead of refunding the hold, another two full amounts were charged which blocked my CC limit.

The room was dirty when I checked in. There was a pile of dirty towels on the floor, no clean towels, the trash had not been emptied and there were crumbs on the table. I was told a manager would contact me but I did not receive any contact. Would suggest to avoid this hotel, it is not hygienic.

Downhill is where this hotel is headed... Forget service.. no such thing. It's just a room. Breakfast you can get better at McDonalds... Rooms smell a little. For a double tree hotel, I have to say I'm very disappointed. Before when my wife and I would stay here, rooms smelled better, bedding was fresh, the bar was busy, and food was decent. Now? You'll be sadly disappointed.

Have you ever heard of a customer changing the bedsheets because it’s dirty and the employee had no idea how to change it? YEP, this place. When we first arrived at the hotel, the front desk was very friendly and the lobby looked pretty. They offered us cookies, which was a plus. It was all well until we arrived into our room. I was already disappointed because we were placed on the 3rd floor. BUT this made it so much worse. We checked the bed sheets and they were dirty on both beds. It looked like no one changed the bed sheet and only fixed it. We proceeded to call the front desk and they told us someone will come up. They didn’t offer to change our room. When he arrived, he placed the bedsheets on our bed and said that he “did not know how to fix the bed.” We proceeded to do it ourselves, which is ridiculous. We paid for this hotel and they didn’t even have the decency of providing a clean room. We called the front desk again and asked for another room but they said they’re fully booked. Rather than spending so much money on the lobby, they should’ve allocate more findings to changing bed sheets. On their mirror they have a sticker that says they cleaned the room and lysoled it but I don’t believe it. Also, the bed wasn’t super comfortable and the pillow sinks in once you sleep on it. I have back and neck pain from waking up this morning. Also, the window isn’t fully closed and there’s no way to completely close it. So at night we can hear loud cars drive on the highway (since we are right next to the highway). You can see it in the photo, but there’s a gap that I can put my fingers through. And if my fingers can go through this, that means bugs and other critters can enter. The bathroom also has a funky smell when you enter. On the floor we noticed an M&M and other dirty things, they clearly did not vacuum the room. The room is also connected to the room next door, so you may hear other people. This place is definitely not clean and needs to recheck their cleaning policy protocols. On the bathroom mirror it states that if you want your room cleaned you need to call the front desk. Quite weird since it’s usually someone who comes in everyday to clean and if we don’t want it cleaned we put a sign up. For us it didn’t really matter since we only stayed for 1 night (THANK GOD). The most basic thing a hotel should provide is a clean bed, and we were not offered that. We were not offered any thing else besides an employee bringing up the bed sheets and not knowing how to fix the bed. Obviously we did not pay to make our beds. We paid to relax and this place was not it. I DON’T RECOMMEND GOING HERE! And will not come back to this hotel. If I can, I would give this place 0 stars for not even providing a clean room (BED!) and not having employees who can help us make the bed.

Positives: Friendly front desk staff, locarion, ample parking, clean rooms, and pretty comfortable beds and pillows. There was also body wash, shampoo, and conditioner provided in the bathroom and it smelled lovely. Negative: Our AC wasn't working, it registered 77 all night and after a 90 degree day in NYC, it was a little disappointing. The daylight manager was very accommodating the next day and in my opinion "made it right." The room was cool enough for us to manage for one night. The engineer did come and look at it, but told us it was in working order.

Hotel appeared decent and the staff was friendly and helpful until they weren't. Apparently a great hotel if you love the smell of weed all night. Staff was very reluctant to even offer my small family a different room after we called and complained about the overwhelming smell of the ganja coming into our room. My kids started getting headaches and it was even too strong for me to fall asleep. The staff didn't seem to care or think it was a big deal. We had to demand a different room on a different floor to escape the magic dragon. They finally offered a new room but we were definitely an inconvenience to them. Hospitality could use a bit of work.

Best thing about my visit was the breakfast and the wait staff serving it. Check in time was 4 pm but was after 4:30 before they had a room ready for me. Windows were not clean. There is NO AC in the elevator or hallways. TV was damaged and remote did not work. The location was terrible. Took almost 30 mins just to get out of the hotel and there were no pizza places that would deliver even though there were 2 less then 3 miles away. Will never return to this hotel.

They are completely scammed I've asked for microwave and the lobby said 15$ additional charges but before made a reservation. They said a room comes with microwave. Everything is up charge. Breakfast buffet not even that good with 19$ each person. The blanket has mold. All the staff teams seems like an exchange student kids that barely know what to do. I've got charged 200$ but when I booked through phone it was 159$. What else could have been worse.

I just checked in about 15 minutes ago & can’t wait to check out, but sadly I’m here for 6 days for work. The lobby is dated & has a strange smell. Check in was fine - no other interactions with service for now. The elevator carpets are filthy with hair & food on the ground & no room key required on elevators (usually is standard now in most hotels around here for added safety). The room is dirty and dated, the sheets & pillow covers are dirty, the carpet in the room is dirty, there are pieces of trash on the floor of the bathroom and a black spot in the tub I’m waiting to further look at until I need to. There is no city view from my room. I usually only leave great reviews but honestly I feel disgusted, itchy and uncomfortable sleeping here and strongly encourage others to look elsewhere to spend ~$250/night. Edit: I called & asked to switch hotels as I was uncomfortable - they said there was nothing that could be done and that I can maybe switch rooms the next day. Another edit: The lobby smelled like it had a gas leak on evening of September 10. This was not associated with the strange smell of the lobby I originally posted about.

Please avoid staying here. I ignored the several negative feedbacks given by previous guests, but in the future I won’t. The location of this hotel is the worst. You cannot get anywhere unless you spend minimum $30. No chance of walking anywhere because the roads do not have a sidewalk. The view is that of the highway or the parking lot, so nothing to see outside. The rooms do not come with a microwave. You gotta pay $15/night to get one in your room. Wi-Fi is extra too but thankfully my booking came with it. The cleaners never came to clean our room. The towels were never replaced. The trash was still sitting in the room after 3 nights of stay. The rooms are basic but clean and air conditioned. That’s the positive.

Booked a room at this hotel for 4 nights. Checkin was quick and pleasant. They offer an allergen free cookie as a substitution for their normal cookies, if asked. The front desk staff, the breakfast attendants, and almost every member of staff we encountered were beyond friendly. They went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. Breakfast cost was included in the cost of our room, so that was a plus. The restaurant staff at night seemed to be bothered by us wanting to eat at 9pm. The server was curt when we asked about gluten free option and we were never given any refills. The food was absolutely amazing. The hotel is older and the wear shows: -Paint peeling in the hallways above the elevators. -carpet was worn in the room -Missing ceiling tiles in the pool area and water damage around the skylight which is completely covered in plastic. -The hot tub was out of order Despite that, the rooms were clean. There was no DND sign for us to put out so we informed the Front desk that we did not need service. This was not communicated to the housekeeping staff and they came every day to clean up. Parking was included and there was never an issue in finding a spot.

If you've ever wondered how someone can find a luxury hotel room without breaking the bank, ʜᴏᴛᴇʟᴅᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ is the answer. Trust me, I just got this room at a fraction of the usual price. 7-20-23 15th floor corner room. Great view. We spent the extra $17 for the executive floor that comes with breakfast. There was a Polish man working there that took great care of us. Made us feel so welcome. The buffet had lots of choices. The rooms are clean. Improvements: the salt shakers are packed FULL so no salt will come out. Plus they are moist, so the salt was sticky, and not flowing. Shakers should be two third full with a little rice. The pool also should have expanded hours. My FYI. Would stay again.

Total ripoff. Paid $300 for one night on their website and when we got there they charged us another $25 for registration fees. The restaurant in there was absolutely the worst service, we got sat and waited patiently for about 30 mins to get our order taken, then waited 1 hr to get our mediocre food and paid $90 for two adults and two small kids portions. The rooms, elevators and hallways were filthy. The view was just a parking lot and traffic. The front desk people were unfriendly. They even lied saying we booked third party through another site just to get out of serving us breakfast in the morning in the restaurant space. They said we would have to pay for a gold membership to get "free" breakfast. Other guests said the place has no class and their rooms were dirty as well. Don't go here.

Just had a fabulous stay at Doubletree. We ended up with a suite and for 4 girl the two bathrooms was heaven! Very clean and great service. Restaurant didn't have heat and with outside temps in the low teens breakfast dining was cold! But the service, especially Jordan, was cheerful and made the situation fun for us.

Went there to spend a night with my family. Rooms are big. Room doors might need some adjustments, because once somebody close their door, mine vibrated and it was kind of uncomfortable when I tried to sleep. The restroom was old but ok. I would like to give a shout out to the server Arian, he gave me an excellent service and was able to start an interesting conversation. Grateful for his service!

Stayed for two nights for Thanksgiving. Bed bug problem!! We found two bed bugs in room 1507. Be aware of the room number and I strongly recommend staying at other hotels. My wife and I both found a bunch of bed bug bites and we are still struggling from those bites. Had to throw away much of clothes and a suitcase. I was able to capture the bed bug with some blood mark, which I killed with a toilet paper, and reported to the front desk during checkout. They didn't even know how to react to this serious pest problems and gave us no comments. The staff seemed like they had zero interest. If we could find two bed bugs during 2 night stay, it's guaranteed that the hotel has a lot of them!

The rooms are quite outdated but seemed clean more or less. The staff at the front desk was nice. However, there was a big problem with this hotel which would definitely prevent us from staying at this place again: you can't leave the hotel without a car. There is no sidewalk, so you have to take your own car or call a cab. If you intend to book a hotel near Manhattan and take the bus or metro there, this is definitely not the right hotel for you. At least it offers much space for parking.

The Hotel it’s outdated but it’s still nice It has plenty of parking space and they have cars to load up your luggage. The from desk was friendly and helpful and they did gave us three delicious cookies. Going to the room was ok also they have three elevator, there’s was no wait for the elevators. The ice machine wasn’t working on my floor but I did go to the floor below and got ice. Then when to check out the pool. The pool it’s located at the mezzanine level but then you have to take steps down to the pool area. It’s like three different level of steps to go down there. Really didn’t like that. The jacuzzi wasn’t working and the pool had a really strong smell of chlorine. But the steps going up thar was pretty bad design. The actual room was outdated and had a lot of damages that should have been fix. The bathroom are had the shower curtains that did not close and water came out making the floor extra wet. Overall I wouldn’t come back if I wanted to use the pool but I would stay again at a lower price.

Not at all what I’ve come to expect for a Hilton hotel. Room was dirty, from bedding to bathroom to the furniture. Had to call multiple times to have bedding changed upon arrival. The shuttle service they offer to NYC, NOT what they advertised when I booked. It’s an outside service with 1 drop off and 1 pick-up per days (no longer offer multiple during the day) the advertise 2 restaurants when in fact they only have 1. Even the hotel store is advertised as opening at 7am. When I try to go, the front desk told me it doesn’t open until 12! With trying to be understanding during difficult covid times, this hotel lacked transparency and communication. False advertisement signage remains all over. Very underwhelming and outdated rooms including old, musty furniture and phones. Would not stay there again. Extremely disappointed.

I was a bit weary of choosing this hotel due to some issues some people posted in their reveiw. But I stayed for 3 nights and I enjoyed my stay. Staff was professional and pleasant. I enjoyed the warm cookies we got when we checked in :) The room was very clean and smell fresh. Bed was very comfortable. There was ample supply of body wash, lotion etc These were in big bottles affixed to the wall. Never stayed anywhere else that has these. Breakfast buffet had many options. Ample parking, clean nice pool. Location is great, close to attractions. I took off points because I didn't have a microwave in my room to reheat my food, and the pipe in the tub was slightly leaking and some of the furniture in the room could be updated. But overall it was a good stay and I would stay again!

Overall, a standard stay in a standard hotel; nothing was especially outstanding about the room, and the location is exceptional only in its proximity to the city. However, the service was quite lovely! We ended up extending our stay by a day, and Hamilton at the front desk went above and beyond to ensure that we wouldn't have to change rooms mid-stay. Thank you, Hamilton!

Conveniently located next to the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee, NJ. Staff were always there to help and were very friendly. The room was OK for the price. They had public swimming lessons in the hotel pool which meant we had to share it with lots of little kids who weren't staying at the hotel. The hot tub was out of order and the gift shop didn't keep its posted hours. Still, it was a nice stay and all those things were minor. We ate dinner twice at the hotel and were blown away by the service and the quality of the meal. It was incredible! Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was terrible. Air conditioner broke 4 times in less than 24 hours. Cable was unplugged from the tv. Lamps didn’t work. Toilet barely flushed. I will NEVER stay here again or recommend to anyone. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Wish that I had paid closer attention to the reviews prior to staying. Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and the air conditioning in the room was continuously a problem! You ask the front desk in the morning for them to address it and they will send an “engineer” up to your room to get it working and by night it will stop cooling the room again. If you can sleep in a room that is 75-80 degrees then you’ll be fine, otherwise stay somewhere else.

Decent room, pretty clean, I got my cookies and water. They have a restaurant and a bar. Drugstore is conveniently located close and 24 hours. Local stores and neighborhoods. I wish it was more lights on the roads at night. But, in satisfied.

Everything went just fine. Checking in and checking out. They need to run some Drano through their drains and clean out the drains. The showers don’t drain they drain slowly so when you shower your standing in 6 inches of water. Housekeeping to do a way better job there was hair everywhere in the bathroom even on top of the folded toilet paper. There was toothpaste splatter on the mirror and the wall backsplash in the bathroom. I stay at many Hiltons and this place is an embarrassment because of your housekeeping.

Do not stay here. The place is filthy. The 7th floor vending area had a layer of dirt on the floor that looked like it had not been touched in a long time. The carpets were dingy . The place had an unpleasant odor throughout. The pool area was dirty, the water was cloudy, the spa was closed, and the area unkept and run down..literally disgusting

    1) We choose this hotel at the this time because Hilton gold member was be able to eat breakfast with free before. But in this time we were charged for breakfast in spite of the totally same menu. We were disappointed with changed policy. 2) Even a microwave is not free. 3) We requested cleaning in a room with tip. Our room was cleaned but there were no towels. 4) The opening time of a pool is at 11am, but checkout time is at 11am, so we can not take a shower after enjoying at a pool at morning.

  • 2/5 Katherine K. 4 months ago on Google
The hotel experience was underwhelming, with its aged furniture showing considerable wear and tear, detracting from the room's overall comfort. A notable disappointment was the lack of complimentary breakfast, especially considering the steep $25 charge for the breakfast bar, which typically is offered for free in other hotels. While the front desk staff were passable in their service, the phone customer service was marred by rudeness, diminishing the overall quality of interactions. Considering the price paid, it seems plausible to find better value and service at other hotels.

The only thing good at this hotel was the food! I stay at Hilton faithfully, this was by far the worst! When I arrived, to stay in room 1123, there were toiletries in the bathroom. No soap No shampoo No conditioner Thank goodness i keep spares with me when I travel. The air conditioning did not work! We tried to use the phone to call the front desk and that didn’t work. When we finally got thru and they sent a maintenance man, he was rude, dismissive and didn’t do anything! He came in, he looked at it, didn’t touch it, and said “Just give it 10 minutes” it will cool off. Well it didn’t cool off. I slept in 74 degrees all night It was uncomfortable It was hot The most uncomfortable night stay I’ve had in any Hilton hotel. I will never stay at this hotel again. Hilton needs to address more than several things here!

Little Older Decor and Style, but clean room. The location is right next to Washington Br. Perfect to get in n out of the city. Breakfast was also decent. Parking is free, can't beat this biggest perk.

Very nice hotel, staff was incredible. I was their for a event. The chairs weren’t that comfortable in the event room. The temp in the event room was very comfortable at first but then got extremely hot, and they had a hard time cooling the room down in my opinion

Location was great, chocolate chip cookies at check in are legit. Service was excellent from all staff encountered, & the gym/pool were both easy enough to use/access. Room itself could use some updating (office chair had seen better days, shower head was a bit rusty, toilet kept running, bad USB outlet under nightstand) but it was clean and comfortable. In comparison to other 4 star places I've been it's not the top of my list (nor does it have a value to match the price point), however, the service and location more than make up for it.

Greeted at the Front Desk By Jane 😍😍😍 CHECK In was fast. No wait. Upgraded to nice room on upper floor facing the City side. Comfortable bed. I fell asleep and forgot I was at a hotel. I woke up thinking I was at home. Jane recommended local restaurant and it really was local. Not a “tourist” type place. Front desk offered water any time I walked thru the lobby. The hotel looked Old School. I wore a suit to dinner and I felt like Scarface. Parking close to entrance. Right on the highway. Easy for travel. Great coffee nearby. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The rooms themselves are okay. Slightly older but well cleaned. However, if planning to take a bus from the hotel, beware. The busses run on a road near the hotel, but there’s no way to actually get to that road without walking on a busy highway or climbing by a steep hillside (no sidewalk or stairs). New York City is inaccessible via public transportation unless you have a car and can park it near a bus stop. If you plan to drive everywhere, it will be okay.

Good location for driving into NYC. We had an issue with the room, someone sadly smoked in it, and I got it replaced by reception immediately, very impressive service. The room was nice and comfortable. Breakfast is either included depending on your Hilton status or payable. Plenty to choose from. Really good stay and amazing staff!

Very welcoming, warm cookie sets the tone as you begin… well trained, friendly staff( as expected at Hilton) room was super clean and neat.. loved it… a little uncomfortable If you have to sleep your kid beside you as these are full sized beds and a little small to have kids over 5/6 beside you.. other than that this is a great property and will definitely look forward to this place if I am in this area again..

We got here at 11pm. So very late at night. And hotel seemed to be overbooked. They said they won't be able to accommodate us. No apologies what so ever, and I guess they didnt bother to tell us until that late. Absolutely no apologies and only excuses were given telling us that they were just too busy to let us know. Will never return. Pathetic.

This hotel is scary. It's as a motel. They rated it a four-star hotel. But the actual situation is not even two stars. You can't imagine when I checked in at night with kids. There were three street girls sitting on the sofa beside the elevator. It can't get any worse. They're dressed like crazy and they're making up. This hotel is very insecure. The pictures on the website are all overpainted. If it's not too late, I really want to leave it's very scary. It's impossible to sleep because the air conditioner is too loud. There some flies in the room. Room service was too terrible. Hotel didn’t change anything. When I tried to dispute with them. They didn’t want to talk with me. Only let me to talk with booking app. It's a total fraud.

I wasn’t sure how to rate this hotel at first. We did have to change rooms due to an issue upon arrival. Then I realized that they are extremely understaffed (just like most establishments these days) and they were still able to accommodate every need with a smile on their face. Every staff member I encountered was extremely helpful and pleasant. Especially The waiter in the evening at the restaurant. He was hosting, waiting, bartending, and busing. He was still able to expedite everything and it was very pleasant to chat with! The man taking care of the breakfast bar was also extremely helpful and pleasant. It was refreshing first thing in the morning. Despite the initial impression (and countrywide understaffing and supply chain issues), The hotel staff more than made up for it. 10 out of 10 will stay here again when traveling through the area! We can’t wait to see your favorite waiter!

Attended an event here so it was easier to stay at this location. Check-in went well. Upon getting to my room it wasn't cleaned the best so I cleaned the room myself prior to bring my mother and child in the room. There is a fridge but no microwave. Some of the lights were blown out the phone was broken so we couldn't call front desk. Not enough towels and couldn't call front desk nor housekeeping. Told front desk about all issues they said they would have someone come up and fix it. Never happened over my stay. Would never choose this place again. Hopefully next year's event is at a different location.

This hotel is old and grand but since pandemic is lacking staff. Due to this they don’t clean rooms everyday but rather you request and then they come and clean. The restaurant is run mostly by 2 friendly persons all the time. It is, although, a very accessible location and is near George Washington Bridge to cross into Manhattan. Taxi usually costs $60 to get into downtown (as of Dec 2022). Level M has pool and Gym which is good.

When we arrived, the front desk person looked like they didn't care and we weren't even offered cookies which is one of the things you offer that other hotels don't. We also asked for the packages that were shipped to us to the hotel and two of them were missing which we told the person and they didn't even go check again, they just said that they didn't receive them even though I had confirmations that the hotel did. When we called the front desk a couple of minutes later regarding the next issue we had, we talked to someone else and they actually found the package. When I went back down to get them, the original person gave them to me and didn't even acknowledge their mistake or even apologize. Now for the worst part, we didn't even get the room that we originally took the time to select when checking in on the app. The room that we got was dirty and greasy and we called the front desk and there's nothing they could do for us, wether it was cleaning it or giving us a different room. It was very late and we had to request Lysol wipes and spent more than an hour cleaning the room so that we could try to be borderline comfortable, especially considering that we have an 11 year old daughter that we have to be concerned with when sleeping in a dirty room. The wipes were disgusting after we cleaned and the towels were also not even white, they might have been washed but not cleaned properly and there was even a stain on the bed sheet. The next day, we talked with the manager as we wanted to be compensated for our inconvenience and the cleaning work we had to do and all he can offer was free breakfast which we would not eat because if the room was dirty, we didn't even want to be surprised with the food or he also offered points which didn't even amount to a free night.

Had an early morning appt in NYC, so I stayed overnight here. Was right off a major interchange but was easy to find. The entrance to the parking lot was a bit tricky to find as it was partially obscured till you get close. Parking was free. Check-in/out was a breeze. The room was a decent size and the bed was comfortable. Had a small fridge in the room but didn't notice (because I didn't look for) a safe. Shower had good water pressure and the water was hot. Coffee maker can do 2 cups at once, but one wasn't a full cup. Only had one regular and one decaf in the stand.

The hotel needs a deep cleaning and furniture upgrade. I was surprised that the bed frame was being held up by exposed plywood. There was visible dirt and exposed wood along the baseboards. The bathroom was dirty, from the shower curtain to the stain in the toilet. I stayed less than 2 hours before walking out this evening and driving back home. Very disappointed.

DO NOT PRE BOOK!! I pre booked this hotel with the understanding if I didn’t make it I would be charged. Cool!! Totally understood and I was going to make this trip. I couldn’t predict I was going to be injured 5 days before leaving. That’s fine things happen for a reason. I booked two rooms with the understanding within 72 hours of cancelling I wouldn’t be charged. Little did I know I would be charged full price by not going. I called to ask why and they said there can be a cancellation fee. They did not disclose this to me when I booked it must’ve been fine print. The company I booked through tried to get my refund because I did cancel 5 days before travel but it was this hotel that refused. Cooperate greed and typical from my point of view. I had an opinion of this chain before and now I have my own personal experience there’s a lot of other hotels that deserve and have a whole lot of respect from me. NEVER AGAIN!! Enjoy my 400 bucks it’s the last you’ll ever get from me.

No hot water, toilet leaked sink leaked… house keeping manager literally walked in my room WITHOUT KNOCKING while I was changing bc I had the latch flipped while moving stuff from vehicle to room. I confronted him and he said since the latch was flipped he was “checking out the room”. Going to speak to manager tomorrow but it’s insane this is a double tree. I haven’t had this many problems at a best western. Only reason it gets two stars is bc the restaurant is pretty solid. DO NOT BOOK HERE

Good hotel facilities and awesome view from the top. But, the shower head wasn’t cleaned and had disgusting green stuff on it, maybe algae? I took a bath instead, which caused the entire bathroom floor to flood. Please get the plumbing fixed and make sure housekeeping gives the shower heads the scrubbing that they deserve!

TL;DR 1) the hilton app needs an upgrade 2) this hotel location is in dire need of a renovation. 3) service and amenities is blah. I've worked at hilton before, and still am loyal to their program, but this location makes me so sad. The Hilton app needs a better UI. I had reserved 4 rooms for my friends and I for a girls weekend getaway trip. First, the app wasn't working for me to check in properly. I asked for customer service assistance on the app and they told me to just wait. When I finally was able to check in - it only let me do 1 of 4 rooms so I had to check in in person anyway which defeats the purpose of the app. I also called and asked for early check in and they said it didnt come with a fee. But when I physically checked in they said early check in is an additional $60 per room. All the ACs seemed to be having issues because as I was checking in people were already calling the front desk about it. Not to my surprise, 3 of 4 rooms I had booked had issues. The front desk was very professional about it. The engineer however tried to blame it on me that I turned down the AC to 65 so it froze the system. When I tried to explain to him the room started at 70 and we turned it down to 68 and it then went up to 80. He basically told me it was out fault for turning down the ac that low. He reset it. Still wasn't working so we switched the room. This also happened with a 2nd room of ours but we just let it be because they were ok with the room being warm. It wasnt even worth the fight anymore. The room I got was fine except when I came in, my door was already unlocked. It was weird. Ac wasn't on. It wouldn't even turn on so we had engineerng reset it too. it stopped working again, I gave up and cracked a window. It was well in the 70s and 80s when we stayed so it was hot. Also my room door had a gapping hole that was a cause for concern. I blocked it with towels instead. The toilet in 2 of the 4 rooms flushed super slow. In addition to this, my sister came back one night to find someone in her room and he claimed to have come to fix the phone because we called about it (which we did not.) Then I also remembered thst when engineering came to fix the acs, he never introduced himself.. just kept knocking on the door. I also feel like that is a security concern too...especially for girls traveling semi-solo (staying in separate rooms). Lastly, some staff were really helpful and sweet- especially at the front desk. But the majority were standoffish - didn't acknowledge you, smile, nod, or anything. It definitely didn't feel welcoming. It was like we were just a pain to them. We tried to not be in anyone's way. The bartender and front desk were great though, all super nice and tried be helpful as much as they could be! Overall it was an ok stay. It definitely could have been better even if just service wise and not infrastructure. But this location seriously needs an update on the infrastructure. The location was great. It was pretty much the only good thing about this place.

Staff (middle aged man, short dark hair) at the reception checking us in and out was extremely rude. Staff at the restaurant ( the old man with glasses) was very friendly and helpful. Please have at least body and hand wash liquids in your toilets instead of soap bars.

This hotel is a one night only if needed hotel. It does NOT live up one bit to hilton standards. Location is horrible, rooms are horrible, breakfast is mediocre and the same everyday no options for people that don't eat pork. Shuttle service is a joke. They don't shuttle you anywhere but up the street because you cannot walk there. There is NO outside seating area. The rooms are inadequate and are NOT cleaned well. It was so dusty in our fake executive room. The bathroom outdated. Even the bathroom door needed to be replaced. The carpet had like burn holes and it didn't look like they vacuumed in weeks.

Typical DoubleTree experience. Immaculately clean room and shower. Delicious hot cookie. Comfortable bed. Dark curtains. Only thing I would caution people about is there's a good chance you're staying here because of the proximity to NYC, with that in mind realize that it is not very easy to walk to the nearest bus plaza from the hotel. They would be wise to consider offering a shuttle service to the NJ GW bridge bus plaza. If they did I would be sure to consider staying here again when visiting NYC but without it I would probably look for a hotel in the city next time

The people working are very nice the rooms and the hotel are very run down and old. Alot of obvious patch work and wear and tear.. For the money stay somewhere else near by way to expensive for something that was last remodeled in the 90's.

The rooms were clean but not restocked. No shampoo, no conditioner, two towels, no soap, the fridge was broken and worst of all the AC didn’t work. The traffic getting in or out of the parking lot is insane ALL DAY and not worth it so… Solid chance I never come back to this spot.

  • 1/5 Brent P. 7 months ago on Google
Honestly, not a great place and Hilton should be ashamed to have this hotel under thier name. I am currently still staying here and should have switched hotels on my first day and went with my instinct. We have encountered problems at every turn. The rooms are clean but really old, our sink didn't drain and the AC didn't work at all. Our room safe was broken, and the fridge frooze most of our food and we had to throw it out. Not too mention I asked twice for housekeeping to clean our rooms and they never showed up. We had no soap, no shampoo in the room at all. We booked this hotel specifically to use the pool after being in NYC all day, only problem is they have a swim school in it until 9:15pm. They tell you they only use half the pool, but it's a lie. we maybe had 5 feet of swim space. Heed the warning and stay elsewhere.

Please don’t listen to the negative reviews some people Just complain about everything. I stayed here for 2 nights and have no complaints. I don’t think the furniture was outdated or notice any weird smells. The staff was friendly room was clean bed was comfortable and the shower pressure was great. They supply you with enough towels and housekeeping comes around in the morning if you want your room cleaned and linens changed. I brought my own hygiene but this hotel has full size shampoo, conditioner, and lotion dispenser not the little 2oz bottle you get at most hotel which I thought was nice . Perfect location if you are visiting New York about 20 minutes to manhattan and 20 minutes to the Bronx. I usually get a Airbnb but New York is expensive and most places don’t have Parking this was perfect right over the bridge and the price was affordable . The breakfast was great. If you forget to pack something or need snacks Walmart is 15 minutes away which is convenient. I’m so glad I stayed here I will definitely be back .

Usually I love Hiltons but this one is not up to the brand standard. Stayed for 3 days in December and 2 days without hot water (COLD showers in winter!) so I left. They did nothing to refund even part of the money for a basic service you expect from a hotel. Not great. Room was clean but old and needs updating. Though the location would work well to go into the city but to exit the hotel you are forced back to Ft Lee even though the bridge entrance is right there. Not a good option or value for your money.
