Cute little place with a friendly staff this night. Going in I had read service could be a bit slow, but then I read from others it was quick. This time around it was definitely on the slower side, however it was the food I was after as I heard it was delicious. And for the most part, it was good with a mixed bag in between. Service isn't everything, but when it doesn't go well it does put a little damper on the meal and in our case left more to desire. Sat us outside, but forgot to give utensils, napkins and plates when the food started coming out and walked away immediately. Took some time to get any staff attention which led to some of the food cooling down too much. Mac n' cheese was baked and creamy and the calamari was seasoned superbly with a nice amount of crunch. The steak with broccoli and mashed potatoes could've used more of the sauce to add more flavor, but I'd still eat it again. Pasta was also good, however the salmon would have to pass on. Was overcooked and dry. We would come back again, but most likely a lot earlier to avoid the slowdown when they are busy

We were in Brooklyn for a concert and made reservations to have dinner here which is right across the street from the barclays center. We started off with some drinks and some shots they lot on fire. Alot of fun. The staff was very friendly and the food was good. We got fried calamari and lobster rangoon. Unfortunately the lamb chops we ordered never came out and we had to go to the concert. Our server gladly took it off the bill. Would definitely come back here for a date night.

You may have to drive around for a while until you find parking. On Sunday's, you don't have to pay for parking. The staff is both friendly, and attentive. The drinks are on point. I enjoyed the Smoke & Migos drink. They light it on fire, leaving it with a smokey taste. It is very unique in taste. They also have a Harry Potter shot drink that they light on fire. It's okay, but great for video, and picture purposes. They also light that drink on fire. For appetizers, I highly recommend the Lobster Rangoon. It is light with a little kick to it, but an excellent choice. I also recommend the Mac & Cheese with added Oxtails. I had the Mango Chimichurri Skirt Steak with Mash Potatoes, and Broccoli. All my food choices were very good. I definitely wasn't disappointed. Be aware though; even for a party of two, they include 20% gratuity.

I've had this place saved as "Want to go" for a while and im glad my coworkers were down to come experience this place with me. Black owned!🖤🤎 We had reservations for 515pm. Got seated and orders were placed. Drinks came but no food. It got to around 630 that we had to ask wassup. And that was only for the appetizers. Might as well order more drinks! Our orginal waiter finally came to let us know there was a party going on in the back and our food order got mixed up. Now I understand we were there long, food order mix up, it's getting later in the evening and other customers are coming in but don't rush to give up the bill. We barely got the proper service but now you rushing us out. The only one that was attentive to us was Sabrina. Overall, the food and drinks were great! I will definitely come back, maybe during the week and not a weekend.

Charsu and I came here for brunch and a catch up meal. Upon entry, there was a huge crowd of people blocking the entrance. They just seem to be standing there. We waited more than 10 minutes and we tried getting someone's attention as we were waiting to be seated and there were quite a few of empty seats available. After more than 15 - 20 minutes, we were finally seated. It took another 15 minutes before we got the menu and someone came over to take our order. Our waiter came took our order and filled our water cups. That was the last we saw of him until of course, as soon as we put down our forks, he comes running with the bill. The place wasn't packed and there was still quite a few empty seats. Our waiter didn't even give us a chance to finish our drinks before he came with the bill. One thing I didn't like is that they put an automatic 20% tip regardless of party size. This was annoying since, there wasn't any service! No one came to check in on us and our water cups were empty since the initial filling along with having to eat our food without having extra syrup or hot sauce as requested. Also, when the server came with the handheld computer, the computer asks for another tip. Be sure to double check your bill to ensure you didn't pay double the tip. We ordered chicken and waffles ($20) and chicken with french toast ($24). The food took more than 45 minutes to come out and it was piping hot. The chicken was delicious and crunchy. It had the perfect level of spice and crunch. Unfortunately, though they didn't properly drain the chicken and it was hella greasy. My friend's french toast was charred and burnt to a crisp in certain spots and it was inedible. For the prices and the portion size, every single bite of the meal should be consumable especially after waiting for so long for the food. A table behind us, their chicken was so burnt, that it looked like blackened chicken. I saw the diner scraping off the burnt pieces with their knife. The cooks here should be more consistent or try to pay attention as these types of inconsistencies ruined an otherwise great dining spot.

If you’re coming here thinking it’s Jamaican 🇯🇲 or some variation of Sugarcane restaurant up the street you are in for a sad surprise. The presentations are great but the tastes don’t match up. The curry coconut muscles was lacking the coconut 🥥 part. There was a hint of it but no real taste. Their Mac & cheese was good tho. They did that right. As for their oxtails, umm, it was cooked. (End of story) moving on to the lamb chops… it was seasoned well even if they were miniature. The mash potatoes were just that. Mashed potatoes with no additives.

Charm is a quaint small dining venue across from Barclay's. We had a 5 min wait, yet it was worth it. Brunch menu includes your usual brunch food and more. The server was friendly and pleasant and told us about his favorite dishes. He truly did not lie. The fried chicken was well seasoned! 😋 Nice spot !

On the day I visited, great place with a beautiful vibe. Quaint inside so reservations are best. The hostess was inviting and the waitress was attentive. Food was timely and delicious. Lively music filled in the background scene. You have the option of table or bar seating. While I did not order a cocktail, the selection appeared interesting. Very busy but professionally handled. Will visit again. Loved it. Caribbean flavors with nice twists and turns. 20% gratuity is automatically added to bill regardless of party size.

Visited this establishment for the first time and the ambience was good. The appetizers were good as we had the lamb sliders and lobster rangoon. That is were the complements stop. I order the Jerk Chicken and it came out very very dry. I asked for another entree and the salmon came out lackluster as well. If you are going to include gratuity in the meal at least provide excellent service. Our server started off being helpful but then disappeared for the night. We were never asked if we wanted another drink we had to wait to be asked if we wanted the check. I guess the cooks were having a bad night. I could of went to Peter Lugers steak house for the price I paid last night. Very disappointed!! Won't be returning!! PS: your bartender should not have to double as a server and still serve bar patrons!!!!

I love this black owned marvel of a quaint place to have great conversation and meet great people. The drinks are awesome and original. The food is excellent. The owner is awesome, like he wants to know you. He wants to welcome you. If he is here when you are he is as genuine and kind as they come. It's like going to your cousin's house on a more grown up scale. The place is black excellence at its finest... Go enjoy and keep going back, I am...

A-MAZ-ING!!! This was my first time visiting and I will definitely be coming back. The food, drinks, and service was immaculate. Amazing music and friendly staff. 11/10 recommend. If you want good vibes, service, and food, come here. Get here early or on a weekday to avoid a long wait. I ordered various different dishes to sample and try everything and it was cooked to perfection. I love the variety of Caribbean food options they had with a fusion flare. Kisses to the chef(s) because they did that! The cocktails were made to perfection by Ashlee. She truly takes pride in making the perfect cocktail for not only aesthetic but taste as well. Ruth our waiter was very attentive and friendly. They have brunch on Thursdays-Sunday which is what sets them apart from other establishments amongst other great things.

Charms was Dope, Chloe, Ali were our servers and Jeff made the drinks. They were all very friendly and hospitable, gave us good recommendations on food and drinks. The oxtail mac was FIRE and they put odee oxtail on top, like a whole large oxtail worth. The lamb chops and truffle mash was also very good, the brussel sprouts could’ve been a little more roasted but I can’t complain the food was really good. Jeff did his thing with the drinks, (I got the Wray maker) I really appreciate how they put our drinks to go in those bottles. It’s very convenient traveling without that annoying cup. Charms is definitely worth the trip. It’s good for a date night. The place is small so I wouldn’t suggest going with a group.

This place is pretty good for brunch. The staff was nice and it was cool meeting the chef. I think his name was chef Calendar. Anyway, The prices were not bad. $50 for 90 minutes bottomless mimosas and including one entree. However, not including the oxtail & grits and rasta pasta entrees. They have guava and other flavors as well for bottomless drinks. You have options. It looks small but they do have extended space past the kitchen. So they can accommodate large groups. My only disappointment was with the menu. They had only one vegan option and that was cauliflowers as appetizers. They had no vegan entrees. And the kale salad was lackluster. It was just chopped up and left dry. Nothing was done with the kale to make it pop. It was just dry kale with parmesan cheese. The salad dressing did help but the salad overall was lacking. My friends liked the chicken and waffles. I think another friend had the shrimp & grits and they like that too. But if you're vegan, it's hard to take advantage of the bottomless mimosas cuz no entree available for you to eat. The jerk cauliflower was slamming but not enough. Nevertheless, the staff did work with me so I appreciate that. Good experience.

Guys, if you want to go out with the girls or have a dinner date… this is the place to be. Located down the street from the Barclays Center! It’s dark but there’s some cute lamps on the table. Caribbean music playing/game on the flat screen at the well stocked bar. The servers are very attentive and constantly check in and asks if everything is alright. I had the sangria that was so delicious. I had 2! The wings, plantain cups, calamari, lamb chops, Rasta Pasta and griot were mouth watering good! I’ll definitely be back when I’m in town!

The restaurant is by the Barclays so parking is hard.. be prepared to circle 3-4 times before a spot becomes available. Just a heads up it is very small inside the restaurant, so if you decide to go with a large group call ahead. Everything was tasty nothing to be excited about. The server was good as well except our drinks came way after we were done with both appetizers and entrees (no bueno) by that time I was ready to go. Other than that hiccup I’d visit again maybe!!!

This restaurant is simply phenomenal. It is a bit small. However, their food has colossal flavor. The shrimp was cooked to perfection and flavorful. Thank you for your outstanding service. I definitely recommend having a meal &/or some drinks here. Will be returning when in the area again.

This is my go to spot for apps and amazing cocktails. The vibes are unmatched and the playlist is really what draws me back every time. My favorite dishes are the lamb sliders, their coconut curry mussels, and the manager Chloe suggested guava and jerk mixed wings and I haven’t looked back since… the servers Amanda and Ali are always so welcoming and it’s safe to say I’m apart of the Charm family now

I think that this place is beautiful and the drinks are great everytime. I will advise everyone If you get offered to sit in an enclose area outside of their dining room, do not sit there. Several times during my dining experience, the light turned off in the whole room with everyone dining . This is unacceptable to me and also the playlist was all over the place and that was throwing off the vibe . The mussels were great, the Mac n cheese tasted very different and not in a good way and the wings are good! I would not come here on a Friday or Saturday night without a reservation!

Great experience for my bday 🎂 dinner. Gr8 food we enjoyed. Just our waiter went on his break with no warning and didn't say who was covering him. So my friend was waiting for her while everyone else had there's. And also waiting on drinks. But great experience would love to do it again

This was my first time here and I seriously can’t wait to come back! It’s a small little spot on Dean St in Brooklyn however don’t let the size fool you because it’s really such a great time. My friend made reservations for us and I got there first and the server, Dallas, seated me and she was so sweet. Another server, Ali, made sure to check on me as I waited for my friend and once she arrived Ali and Dallas made sure we were taken cared of . I had the Mac n Cheese with Oxtail and my friend had the lamp chops and everything was absolutely delicious 😋 There was a DJ there, DJ Chef, who was phenomenal! I believe he’s there on Tuesdays, so if you find yourself there in a Tuesday prepare for some good vibes. All in all I had a fantastic time for my first visit and I can’t wait to go back! Be sure to ask for Dallas and Ali they’re amazing 👏🏾

I loved the bartender! The drink menu is clean with fresh pressed juices and purees. The D'usse sangria was one for the books and the appetizers were on point minus the jerk lamb sliders. I am looking forward to returning to try entrees on the dinner menu.

The drinks and service here are amazing!!! Upon entered i was greeted warmly and told to choose my seat. I have food allergies that were accommodated and was suggested a version of a French 75 which is now my favorite cocktail. The perfect spot to wait out rush hour after a long day of work.

This food is absolutely delicious! The service is impeccable. The atmosphere is so welcoming and intimate. The DJ killed it and for a moment you don’t even feel like you’re in Brooklyn. Love this place! I’ve been before but, I’m coming back soon!

Great customer service. The bartenders drinks were on point, Jeff I believe his name is. The servers were very accommodating and professional. The manager Jazz was awesome. She checked up on me and ensured that I was having a pleasant time. Shout out to this great establishment; my second home.

Cute restaurant/bar across from the Barclays Center. Easy to access via mass transit. The cocktail drinks here were delicious! The waiter was very attentive. They also have a small outdoor dining area. Worth a visit!

First time here for brunch. Small but cute establishment. Service was a tad slow but forgiven due to there being only one server. Had the French Toast with turkey bacon. Washed it down with a Pear Rosemary Bellini. Drinks were good and food was delicious. Bathroom was very clean. Gratuity already included in check so pay attention when signing unless you plan on adding additional. Only gripe was the music was way too loud and had to shout to have a conversation.

Beautiful black owned spot near Barclays with so many amazing aspects working for it! The owner was as great as the food his kitchen puts out. We showed up a little late for brunch but we're seated immediately and our waitress Sabrina was outstanding. They even gave me special birthday surprise at the end of our delicious meal of cauliflower wings (ask for the flight of sauces, my faves were buffalo and guava) oxtails with grits, and challah French toast. I had come here once before for dinner by the way and the ambiance is even nicer at night with the candles, etc. Wish we had a spot like this in DC, open another location I'd frequent it 🫶🏾

Charm restaurant was a great experience. The decor and ambiance was inviting and pleasant. The music was upbeat and right on point. The food was the star of the show. The lamb chop sliders were excellent. I have never had vegan chicken (cauliflower) and it was delicious, it was seasoned extremely well. Zaria, our waitress was very respectful and helpful. She made dinning experiences even more pleasant.
