Visited during opening week and was blown away by the food, drinks, ambiance, and service. Both our vegan and non-vegan guests were super impressed with the vegan meats and tuna. Hand-crafted cocktails were delicious. 5 stars all around. Perfect place to spend a special occasion, date night, or just treat yourself. Can’t wait for my next visit :-)

Everything we ordered was amazing and high quality! Found out the chef and owner is our favorite (vegan) sushi place Beyond Sushi! Appetizer wise, the artichoke tots were so good! Only lightly fried and most of the bites were actual artichokes instead of batter. Got three dip mezze favorite was the kabocha squash so unique and fresh. The fire roasted eggplant with pomegranate seeds was also incredible. The raw mezze lemon curd tuna was also unique and yummy. The layered herb bread was too doughy like Asian milk bread didn't go well with the dips for us; next time we will choose the pita. The zatar olive flatbread was good but didn't really taste zatar, a spice we love, so was a bit confused. The tofu kebab was very spiced and flavored highly recommend. Lastly stuffed ourselves with the desserts which were refined sugar free!!! How amazing and grateful for Chef Vaknin to make incredible creation with quality ingredients like unrefined sugar! beautiful decor and dining environment too.

Never have I ever had such an incredible vegan meal. I’m not vegan, I am not even vegetarian. I’ve had many vegan meals in my life, I have never had such an extraordinary, vegan meal in all my years. In other words, if you like food, then you should eat here. We asked the chef to choose our meals as there were so many options! I couldn’t even tell you all that we ate, I can tell you that it was gorgeous and delicious. The lamb cigars stood out and were incredible! The Orzo… delicious. Kabobs… unreal! I had a Greek espresso martini and it was delightful! I’ll be going back just to be able to have another one of those too! I can’t wait! The decor is gorgeous and for a moment, you feel transported into another world. Enjoy!

A delightful infusion of what meat could be — but meat isn’t — through a vegetarian lens. Balanced, delectable; it left me feeling at home. Cheers to a great night at Anixi. Great service from professional waiters. Fantastic ambiance. Hip crowd. High prices. It adds up. So be prepared to drop some dough. The only dish I don’t recommend is the “smoked salmon” appetizer. It looks just like salmon but it’s too salty. Don’t bother with the extended wine list, it’s overpriced and underwhelming. Stick to cocktails and wine by the glass. The entrance and restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but unfortunately the bathroom is not.

A very interesting dining experience. First of all it's a vegan restaurant, I'm not the target audience here because I eat all kinds of meats. That being said the food was quite good, my biggest negatives would be 2 things 1. The chicken kabobs were touted as being chicken like, I would not go nearly that far. They were quite rubbery and chewy, chicken has this nice dense feel and this did not have that feel 2. The ricotta whip spread was super grainy, like massively grainy. Maybe that's what vegan cheese is like, but definitely not a fan. That being said there were a lot of positives! The service was incredible, the eggplant spread was delicious, the sunny side "eggs" flatbread was insane. The fake eggs had runny yolks, it was very cool and tasted exactly like eggs. My last piece of this is that the pricing is a little out there. I don't think I could suggest a normal diet person to eat here, but I can see the appeal to a vegan person.

The food here was amazing! I had the salmon and I cannot believe how it felt and looked like salmon. After eating it, it even tastes like it!! What a wonderful job they did. The food and drinks are very good. The service is also wonderful. The place itself is just beautiful and it’s a lovely space. I highly recommend. I know I will be coming back for sure.

I loved the atmosphere, the attentive service, and the food was very good too. The bar and dining areas are stylish and spacious. The staff were communicative and checked on me regularly. All the food I tried was good, but it's clearly intended for sharing. The large pida boat didn't keep my attention until the end. I'm looking forward to trying more of the smaller dishes.

Visited for the first time last night. Beautiful space. Arrived early, so stopped at the bar. Fig and Cinnamon Old Fashioned was excellent and got to meet Chef Vaknin while we enjoyed it. At time of reservation we were escorted to our table. Helpful and friendly server. Food was delicious. Be sure to add some Pita. Vegetarian food that a meat eater would enjoy too. Will definitely return.

Absolutely gorgeous dining room. Fun, informative, attentive service. And food that will blow your mind. This is where the science of food can actually be fun. There's no "foam" on the plate, but gastronomy is key to that khachapuri (unless it's witchcraft and either way, I'm going back to get it again). They have vegan runny eggs. That are EXACTLY the right texture and flavor. The lamb cigars are delicious -- very like lamb, but also just delicious and worth the visit. Their special tonight was a seared salmon and I swear it FLAKED like salmon. The best part of that dish, though, was the creamy, "cheesy" saffron orzo. Flavors were great, the copycat ability to non-vegan food is astounding. You could easily pass this off without telling someone the whole place is vegan. But better than a "parlor trick," it's also just a lovely, upscale plant-based experience, right down to the cocktails. The rosewater ice cream was just slightly soap like (I think you can have too much rose water flavor 🤷🏼‍♀️) but the date cake with chocolate cream cheese filling was good. Pricey, but very worth it.

We were blown away by our meal here. None of us are vegan, so we weren’t sure what to expect but we absolutely loved the food. We tried all the dips, the artichoke tots, the lamb mantis, chicken kabob, and beef kabob (that night’s special). Had I not been told that the food was vegan I would have had absolutely no idea. I particularly enjoyed the whipped ricotta and squash dips, as well as the lamb mantis. The desserts were good but not as big of a highlight as the main meal. The restaurant itself is beautiful and our waiter Joseph was incredibly kind and helpful.

This a new vegan restaurant that all vegans were raving about so gave it a try .just like planta created a vibe and name anixi is doing the same .our group was mixed in the sense we had meat eaters and vegans .The meat eaters were hesitant to come as they thought they will just get hummus and tofu 😀 we were like whatever ! Ordered five dips amazing specially whipped ricotta and taramasalata do order that . Eggplant was okay was no flavor chef if you are reading this please make it flavorful. The fatoosh was confusing I am not sure what that was and please don’t order that just 18$ for salad is a criminal waste of money ! Then we ordered kabobs the fake chicken was good ,mushroom kabobs were on the sweeter side so did not like it .mujadara was good ! The desert rose malabi was too good we gulped in few seconds 😆.Finally a good vegan place with good ambience you feel like you are sitting in nice place .My meat eater friend loved it and she said she will go back 😀! It’s new so there a rush to get reservations as everyone want to tick mark ✅😀 I would go back and try something else the only thing I don’t like is naming all the dish as meat ! We don’t want to eat meat and we don’t care how meat tastes would have been nicer to give different and innovative names to the dishes instead of beef and chicken !

Where to even start? Anixi is an amazing restaurant with an immaculate atmosphere. The serving staff were also a delight. And obviously the food!! The airiest, tangiest yogurt ever, the most delectable saffron sauce, the most surprising “lamb” pockets, what more could you ask for?

Everything was amazing, one of the best restaurants we've been to. My husband is a meat eater and was extremely pleased with my restaurant choice lol besides the incredible food and ambiance, staff was very friendly. Cocktails and house sodas were deliciously crafted. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone and are looking forward to coming back!

Birthday Dinner and first time in. Just Amazing. Beautiful space, attentive and helpful staff, great presentation and even better… the food was super good. Can’t wait to go back. The dessert with the hard to pronounce name was so good! Loved it.

We had the best time with family at Anixi for lunch today. Our waiter Kyle and the entire staff was incredibly attentive and friendly (the bartender stood up on a chair to get a good group picture of us). All the dishes and drinks were fresh and delicious. And the Ambience with Arabic music was upbeat and on point. We’ll be back with friends!

Undoubtedly the best Vegan Mediterranean spot in NYC! Their deep mezze selection is consistently outstanding. Among my favorites were the whipped ricotta, an absolute 10/10, followed closely by the fire-roasted dish at a stellar 9.5/10, and the flavorful taramasalata at 8.5/10. The zatar pita and layered herb bread deserve a solid 10/10 for their freshness and taste. Don't miss out on their freshly baked bread varieties. I also tried Olive Za'atar scoring an 8/10. Additionally, I indulged in their Medjool date cake, which was delightful, earning an 8/10. I can't recommend this place enough. The ambiance is lovely, and while the service is great, the tables for two might feel a tad cramped. Yet, the incredible food makes any space constraints easy to overlook!
