From our first conversation with him, he made us feel so comfortable. He took the time to educate us on diamonds so we actually understood what we were buying, while helping us figure out the aspects that were most important to us. Yale was honest, transparent and patient throughout the whole process (we have made adjustments to the initial ring because my fiancee changed her mind). It's clear that everyone at Zoland's is knowledgable, honest, and cares about having a relationship with their clients. I worked with Fred Hulnick for an engagement ring and came back 1 year later for a pair of wedding bands. I can't say enough good things about my experience. I knew nothing about fine jewelry or diamonds before my experience and felt well informed and taken care of throughout the process. I had been following Fred at Zolands on Instagram for a while. So I knew he designed beautiful pieces. On a recent trip to NYC my husband surprised me by suggesting we go to Zolands. We walked into Zolands without an appointment not knowing what to expect. Fred met with us right away and was completely gracious. He talked with us for quite some time. He listened to what we described and designed this beautiful green sapphire and diamond platinum ring. We returned two days later - this time with an appointment - to pick up the finished ring. Fred at Zoland and Sons jewelers is so fantastic! He was so great to us 12 years ago when we had our engagement ring made with him, we decided to travel all the way back to NYC from Utah to have a new setting made. Nothing has changed at Zoland! I worked with Fred Hulnick at Zoland and he was fantastic. I spoke with him several times over the course of a month to pick out the most beautiful engagement diamond. He was able to find some of the most stunning diamonds of the shape I was looking for which is more rare (elongated cushion cut). He then walked me step by step through the process of designing and making the ring over the course of the next month as I waited for the ring to be finished. He even sent me pictures and videos of each step of the process and asked for my input every step of the way. I couldn't recommend Fred more and we will definitely be back to buy more jewelry and for care of the ring we bought.

When my wife and I were starting to look at engagement rings, my co-worker reccomended I go to Zoland and speak with Fred Hulnick. Fred was beyond amazing. He was extremely patient as we went back and forth about the design of the ring. It was a big investment and both of us had no idea what we were doing. When I knew I wanted a new wedding band for my 15 year anniversary, Fred was the only person I reached out to. I would highly recommend Zoland! I worked with Yale to buy an engagement ring for my fiancé, and I really appreciated his patient, pragmatic approach to educate me about diamonds, show me a range of diamonds to help me understand how to identify each of the properties, and “shepherd” me along the process. There was never any pressure to opt for something more expensive, and he addressed all of the questions I had. For the ring setting, I had shown him a photo of a ring I liked (and which was aligned with the guidance I had gotten), and his team produced a beautiful version of it (which also included a few modifications from the actual photo). My fiancé loved the ring!

I came to Zoland to purchase an engagement ring. This was my first time in a jeweler store so I was nervous because of my lack of experience. I spoke with Fred who greeted me when I arrived and he explained to me the history of their shop and what they stand for. He then went into full detail about what to look for when purchasing a diamond, cut, clarity, carot, color. We set up an appointment to view some diamonds and he provided a beautiful selection. At no point during this experience did I feel pressured or rushed into buying. Fred at Zoland helped my husband and I create this beautiful necklace from a family heirloom. The diamond was in an entirely different setting which made it hard for to me to envision and articulate what I wanted, but Fred seemed to know intuitively what would look good and suit my style.
