Not bad for a playground in the midst of the urban jungle. Close enough to the harbor to hear occasional fog horns and smell the Hudson. Best part is when entering the playground, in your mind you can see Spongebob autistic meme "imagination!"

The sprinklers is okay for younger kids since they don't really want to get splash too much. The kids loved the sand. I liked the walkway/ board walk. It can be used with the kids scooters. It is a nice small park in an enclosed area that makes it easy to watch kids.

Wonderful playground for kids. No jungle gym but there is a large sand area with a slide. There are also some rope ladders in the sand pit. A very nice and large water play area with jets and water basins. Sometimes the staff put our water toys and buckets for the kids. Overall a very Wonderful playground.

Good design but needs updating/cleaning. The slide is currently closed. There is still water play and a good sand area.

One day last summer, we scouted out a new park and found Imagination Playground. We had such a great time with the kids here, that we had our cousins meet us at the same park the following summer. We came in from Long Island while they, from NJ. We took the NYC ferry to Wall St and walked a mere 2 blocks to the park. With sprinklers and sand for the kids, what more do you need to keep all happy. Every age can find some way to enjoy this cute park in the middle of the hustle & bustle of NYC. Yes, there are even bathrooms on the premises. Can’t wait to be back.

Very fun on a hot day. They keep the street-side gate locked for child safety.

Good playground if you have small kids because you can sit down and see where your kids are whole time due to nature of playground being one long line. Good playground for sure + right near water & boats.

My son LOVED the water park! Every parent was helping each other and friendly... It's the perfect place to take your child on a hot day!!

If you just want space, sand, and water this can be fun. My kids enjoyed it for a while. I was rather sunbaked and found it to not be the greatest atmosphere to sit and watch them play. More shade would be appreciated.

Great park with huge sandbox. Without any complex structure but my kids love it so much and enjoy their time under the sun. However, it needs to build more shadings for people to stay cool during summer time.

Was looking for a quick fun stop before returning back to Brooklyn and it was pretty underwhelming. No blue building blocks in sight. Small little spouts of water. Abundant sand was the only difference from any other neighborhood park. My 7 year olds wanted to leave as soon as we got there- on a hot day in swimsuits they said meh.

This is the worst out of maybe the 20-30 playgrounds I've been to in NYC. It's ill conceived and neglected. There's little shelter from the sun, there are plenty of places to injure yourself, and aside from the sand which can be be fun if you bring your own pail and shovel, there's almost no fun to be had.

Sand pit, water play area, and a slide, huge space for kids to run around and families to mingle
