We had an amazing visit to your wonderful inn. From the time we arrived we were welcomed and made to feel at home. The Colleen room was very cozy. All of Doug’s recommendations were right on point from his circle tour of nearby things to do, to his perfect picnic spot at Benedict Pond! The breakfasts and attentive services blew us away! Thank you Doug and Jim and your team! We will definitely be back for another stay. Doug and Heather

I recently had the pleasure of spending a weekend at the Devonfield Inn, and I have to say it was an absolutely incredible experience. From the moment we arrived, my wife and I were blown away by the warmth and hospitality of the innkeepers, Doug and Jim. Doug was incredibly helpful, providing us with a list of his personal favorites in the area every morning, which allowed us to discover some truly amazing places that we would never have found on our own. His local knowledge and passion for the area really shone through, and it made our trip all the more special. And speaking of special, Jim's baking is truly out of this world. Every morning we were treated to a different, delicious cake that he had made from scratch. And let me tell you, these weren't your run-of-the-mill cakes - they were truly works of art. Breakfast at the inn was an absolute showstopper, with each dish expertly prepared and presented. But what really sets the Devonfield Inn apart is its rich history. The inn is housed in a beautiful, historic mansion that once hosted the Netherlands' Queen Wilhelmina. The building is impeccably maintained and beautifully decorated, and it really feels like you're stepping back in time to a more elegant era. All in all, my wife and I had an unforgettable weekend at the Devonfield Inn. The attention to detail, warm hospitality, and beautiful surroundings all combined to create an experience that we'll remember for years to come. I can't recommend this place highly enough - it's truly a gem.

My wife and I just got married at the Devonfield Inn. It’s an expansive property with a beautifully kept lawn. The elopement package made our time there even more memorable. It allowed us to just relax. We opted for a couple’s massage which they did on-site. The inn is charming, and the owners did a wonderful job with the breakfast and checking in on us whenever we walked by them. We already decided we’re going to book another weekend there, and we can’t wait to go back.

We had an excellent time staying at The Devonfield Inn! Doug and Jim run the perfect bed and breakfast for a weekend away. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing time at the pool or an adventure through the Berkshires, this is the perfect choice for your stay. It had amazing views of the mountains, a beautiful property and a delicious breakfast.

If you are looking for the quintessential inn experience look no further than the Devonfield Inn. Doug and Jim were exceptional hosts. The staff was kind and professional. The rooms were tastefully done and comfortable. We felt at home and well taken care of during our stay and we look forward to staying there again! The rooms are lovely and comfortable. We stayed in the Treehouse Suite and it really made our trip feel luxurious and special.

Direct quote from my sister: "Doug...THE BEST!" We received effective communication, 5-star hospitality and 5-star breakfast at this peacefully gorgeous estate. Jim has a published recipe book, be sure to pick it up during your stay. There are nature trails on-site among other amenities. The museums, restaurants and National Shrine of Devine Mercy are a skip and a hop away. Doug & Jim make you feel like family, they serve with smiles and a genuine love. The rooms are cozy and up to date with clean quality robes, high quality bedding and towels, even the toilet paper is high quality. Their library has interesting books, up to date magazines and they carry newspapers. I loved reading the daily newspaper during breakfast and looking out to the beauty of their property. We felt safe staying here. No need to stay anywhere else when visiting Massachusetts.

First of all, the room at the Devonfied Inn was truly fantastic. The innkeepers have put a lot of thought into creating a comfortable and inviting space for their guests. In addition to the wonderful accommodations, Doug and Jim were amazing hosts. They went out of their way to make sure that my wife and I felt welcomed and cared for during our stay. Overall, the Devonfied Inn provided the perfect backdrop for our 21st wedding anniversary. We would definitely recommend it to other couples looking for a cozy and romantic getaway.

We just got back from Devonfield Inn and we are already missing it! This was a short getaway for my hubby and I and we were so genuinely surprised every day. Doug and Jim made us feel special: from the unique, hearty and delicious breakfasts to all the great places to visit. We did everything on Doug’s favorite list that became our list! This will be a place to revisit and tell friends about! You both and your employees are so genuine and kind.

From the booking of our room until we left, we felt welcomed. Doug and Jim were incredible hosts with a beautiful Inn! It was my wife and my 32nd anniversary and we had a great time. Our room had a great view! We enjoyed everything they had to offer. We took advantage of the couples massage which I highly recommend! Stephanie was also a great help and did a great job at breakfast our last day! This place is a hidden gem! We will be back!

A stay at Devonfield is like a hug from a close friend. Doug and Jim set the standard for hospitality and warmth from the moment you walk in. The decor in the common areas is cozy and sophisticated, just the perfect amount of lived-in, and the rooms are perfectly appointed but retain the charm of this interesting old home. There are certainly fancier and more modern places to stay in the Berkshires, but you won’t find another spot that feels more authentic and welcoming than this magical little inn.

We had the absolute joy of having our Elopement ceremony at the Devonfield Inn. We stayed at the Devonfield for four nights and had the most relaxing, romantic and fun experience. Doug & Jim have truly curated a signature luxury experience at their property the inn itself is historic but pristinely kept, warm and inviting yet sophisticated at the same time. From the moment you arrive you feel welcome like an old friend, the grounds are pristine and have walking tails with views of the mountains, sunsets by the birch trees are breath taking. If you are a breakfast lover you are in luck here as well my husband woke up everyday like a kid on Christmas so excited for the morning breakfast which changes daily and makes it hard to pick a favorite it’s all amazing. If you can make sure to stay on a Saturday and enjoy live piano music with a wine and cheese hour it’s so fun and I felt like I was living out a hallmark in real life. If you’re thinking of eloping you can’t find a better place (I looked everywhere lol) Doug will ensure your elopement goes perfect and stress free I could not have imagined a better setting, host, or environment to exchange vows. Our ceremony was in the fall but any time of year will be beautiful here I can imagine a snowy back drop winter elopement would only add to the magic. Where we will go to celebrate our anniversary is now solved, we will be back at the Devonfield and can’t wait.

The Devenfield is our favorite place to be. Even though we are only 1hr and 40 minutes away,we come once or twice to the Devenfield. Doug and Jim make us feel like family and our dog Dakota loves them also. Many years of success.
