The menu was a little underwhelming. This spot is best for getting a glass of wine with some hors-d'oeuvres. The mousse de foie was excellent. The croque-monsieur was good, but had too many slices of ham. Excellent service.

Excellent neighborhood wine bar with an interesting, extensive wine list and great tapas style food offerings. The steak tartare and the chicken mousse are incredibly seasoned and executed to perfection. Tried the chicken salad and was impressed by the flavor in the chicken and the simple dressing it came with. The service is intermittent but not neglectful.

Cozy and neighborhoody place. Food menu is limited to tapas and cold cuts as this place focus on wine. The selection of wine is pretty large and the staff is super friendly. This is a must go if you wanna drink some wine and chill. It’s small, so It can be a little loud in the evening, but that’s exactly the vibe of small traditional French wine bars :)

Go-to neighbor wine bar/bistro tucked away right off the main street, perfect for dates, friends get-together, or solo night caps. The ambiance is always mellow and cozy and it’s never too loud or rowdy. The wine selection is well curated, with great house wines and happy hour. Warm and cold bites are available for sharing.

Charming French wine bar tucked away. Fun buzzing atmosphere and great service. We were there during happy hour and they have a selection of four wines available by the glass for $10. We tried three of the four and and they were all winners. The waiter was liberal with pouring us healthy portions and gave us all a minor refill on the house (after our second round). Escargot! Delicious. Ratatouille! Yum! Cheese order seemed a little overpriced but it’s New York.

Gotta say, I love this bar. The vibes are great, friendly staff, and a great variety of wines! If you go there during happy hours, they give good prices for the drinks. I enjoyed my time here with my pals that we stayed until they closed. Time went so fast, and it is just a perfect place to go if you want to have a good time!

Lovely wine list and cheese and charcuterie plate! Lots of great wine options and very cute outdoor cafe seating, definitely a Parisian vibe. Cheeses were great! Shrimp was also tasty.

Service was extremely prompt but not very helpful - definitely not the place to learn about what you're drinking! The wine list is extensive but so many of the wines on it weren't available. Additionally, they've stopped doing flights, something they should change on the menu.

I enjoyed this place, I went extremely late around 10:47pm. The kitchen was closing so ordering food had to be done immediately. I ordered the SOUPEÀ L'OIGNON (I’ve never had French onion soup before and ALWAYS have wanted to try it) it was ABSOLUTELY amazing! In addition, I also tried Tarte Flambee De Potrion, it was tasty but wasn’t what I expected at all. I wouldn’t order it again. My friend ordered the Escargot, I wouldn’t have a clue if those were delicious or not. Not really into eating snails BUT to each his own. Lol The glass of wine I decided on was the Alsace Kuentz-Bas Riesling Cuvee Tradition. I’m a Riesling type of girl, I’ve also noticed these days that finding Riesling is a rarity but maybe not at a wine bar so that brought me joy. I would definitely return mostly because of the classy atmosphere it was really cute. 7.5/10

I was fairly disappointed, sadly. The menu had a lot of choices but they didn’t actually have a fair number of them — making it a guessing game where you’d ask for something on the menu and they wouldn’t have it, so you’d ask for something else and they wouldn’t have it, and so you’d try one more time and… yep, wouldn’t have it. Finally we asked them to tell us what they did have and he came back with a more expensive bottle for which he wasn’t quite sure the price. Frustrating way to order. So in frustration I just almost-randomly ordered a $15 glass — which was on the cheaper side but still a fair amount of money. It was awful. I literally had a tastier glass of wine in a plastic cup at my kid’s preschool art show an hour later. This wine was so thin, so flavorless, and had so much of a benzene flavor (for lack of a better word) that I almost asked if they’d let it sit out overnight. People rave about this place, and I hope this was just an aberration — but, wow, was I disappointed. I had one glass and called it a night, because it just wasn’t worth having a second. Really unfortunate, because it seems like it should be an awesome place. In response to the reply… To the extent that they’re implying that wine should taste like it was left out overnight because it’s organic, I’ve had plenty of organic wines and they are not supposed to taste like that. It was bad. Nor was it that the wine lacked sugar — which is an odd sort of thing to say, to be frank. It was that the wine tasted stale and “hot” like benzene. My wife — a professional chef who’s cooked in some of the best kitchens in the world and knows wine very well — likewise thought it was undrinkable. This wasn’t an “I didn’t like it” situation. They either screwed something up (storage, etc.) or just served a really terrible wine. It was objectively bad. The reply frankly makes me think less of this place — because serving a bad glass of wine from time to time happens, but if your response is to basically claim that it wasn’t bad it was just “organic…” well, that tells me they’ll serve more bad glasses, and won’t ever fix what went wrong.

I absolutely love this wine bar. The service is great and the people working there were so kind and always made sure we were enjoying ourselves. The wine bar to go to on the upper west side!

Great neighborhood wine bar, I’ve been to the one in the UWS, WV, and Nomad and the staff is always friendly and helpful in choosing a wine. Very approachable place to go whether you know your wines or can’t tell a white from a red.

This place is a gem. It has a total European vibe in that you can enjoy a bottle of wine and shared plates without feeling rushed. It’s small but charming and the food is amazing. It can get a bit loud, but that in no way, takes away from the experience. The service is fantastic. This is wonderful for an intimate date night since the small tables allow you to be close. The small tables are also why I recommend ordering food one by one. The wine selection is vast and the staff are well versed in the world of wine. The escargot is a must try. Even if snails are not your thing. Sit, have a glass or bottle wine and enjoy this upper west side jewel. They do not take reservations but this spot is well worth any wait time.

Went here on Wednesday night. Great warm ambience that works well as a quaint neighbour date spot. Wine was good. Food was okay. Salman tartare resembled a coleslaw which was an odd interpretation of a tartare. Duck confit was lovely. What diminished the experience was our server who was cold and made us feel unwelcome. Especially seeing how differently other tables were treated. We have some guesses on why, but hope it was a one off incident not in line with their institutional values

First class French bistro on the UWS! Staff is super kind and sweet, definitely going the extra mile! I love this place, I’m semi-regular here and highly recommend to anyone to try!

Such an amazing experience coming here! I had a group of 7 people, which is quite a large group for a spot like this one. They don’t take reservations so I was worried we would have to wait a long time but the server was so incredibly nice! We didn’t wait long at all, they accommodated us almost right away, and we sat as more chairs and tables became available. The selection of wines is extensive and the charcuterie and cheese boards were delicious! The vibes are cozy and delightful!

Small and cute wine bar. Worth the trip for the limited but delicious menu and the great people inside.

Favorite neighborhood spot. We visit most Sundays and love the laid back atmosphere. You can sit and have a glass of wine, or order food, but never any pressure to rush. It's located on a side street, a bit distanced from the traffic on Columbus. Perfect place to relax, especially on a nice day!

Lovely spot. Solid wine list. List. Didn't try any food. Still lovely atmosphere to have an after-show drink.

I don’t make my way to the Upper West Side often, but when I do, it’s because of places like Vin Sur Vingt. Quaint and sophisticated environment, attentive and lovely staff, elegant and delicious food. This French wine bar nails it. The escargot is super flavorful and comes out piping hot. Perfect spot to celebrate intimate special occasions.
