I was searching for a good breakfast spot near my hotel in Time Square and this place had great ratings. They don't take reservations so we walked up hoping for a short wait time. They were able to seat us immediately once they verified our vaccination cards and ID. As you can see in my photos, the restaurant is huge. It was packed and they kept the customers moving in and out. The service was ok. Our server was really nice. He was just really busy and so we ended up waiting for a while to ask for drinks, condiments and even the check. The food and coffee was alright. Not much to rave about. The portion was appropriate and very filling. I asked for a vanilla latte with oat milk but they could only offer me latte with almond milk. When we got the check it was over $100 for 4 people. I don't think I have ever paid so much for diner like food. There is another diner a few blocks away that is mom and pop owned, pretty big size restaurant, serves real delicious diner and breakfast food for actual diner prices. Knowing that there is another spot that does it better for a fraction of the price leads me to rating this place a 3 star.

For us Junior’s Restaurant & Bakery is one of the main reasons we go to Manhattan. The food is good, with a large amount of varied menu. The service is always and prompt. The restaurant is also a fun place, especially with its Brooklyn Dodgers theme. But for us the star of the show is the cheesecake. A real treat and worth going for just the dessert.

The food was okay, including the cheesecake (I know, I’m sorry!) - it was all okay. The onion rings were huge but tasteless, as were the fries. My favorite was actually the beets that I got as a complimentary side 😂 I did like their house mustard (at every table). The service is great - they are so speedy!! The artwork around was retro and cool, all NYC themed. I ate here before going to a Broadway show. If you’re looking for something quick, this is a great place because it’s in the heart of Times Square - can get to any show easily by walking. I don’t think I’d come back because I’m a foodie and the food didn’t wow me.

“You really haven't lived until you've had cheesecake at Junior's.” So during my last trip to NYC i had a chance to visit Junior's Bakery in New York City which offers an upscale and hip ambiance that contributes to a festive atmosphere. However, finding seats can be a challenge due to its high demand and crowded nature. The service at Junior's Bakery is efficient, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience despite the bustling environment. The staff's attentiveness adds to the overall positive impression. The highlight of the visit is, of course, the cheesecake. Described as fluffy and delicious, it proves to be a treat for the taste buds. The quality and taste of the cheesecake make it a standout element of the entire experience. Having navigated the crowded setting, experienced efficient service, and savored the delightful cheesecake, the overall visit to Junior's Bakery is marked by enjoyment and satisfaction. It's recommended to all those seeking a memorable cheesecake experience in New York.

We always stay at the Marriott Marquis so Juniors is our late night spot after taking in a Broadway play. It’s perfect for the kids also as they have a wide selection of kids meals. Try the latte and you’ll get a sugar stick to sweeten the drink up just right. Grilled cheese lovers? Oh yea, you’ll be in heaven with the thick toast and melted cheese.

Went out for breakfast with a friend and had a wonderful time out there. The menu is quite elaborate. If you love eggs especially, you will have plenty of options to choose from. Their Cheesecake of course is well know. And it did taste wonderful. Btw, they will generally handover the breakfast menu to you in the morning, but you can ask foe the bigger menu that has more options, including Cheesecake! There is paid parking right next door. So, it is quite convenient.

We are in NYC for a family vacation and this restaurant was close to our hotel so we figured we’d try it. We really enjoyed it! Prices are average Times Sq but the food is well worth it. We were seated quickly. Our server was also very good at her job and none of our drinks went empty. We will definitely come back here again before we leave. Thanks Junior’s!

My husband loves Juniors cheesecake. I try to order him a cheesecake every year for his birthday and get it shipped to Chicago. This year, I brought him to New York City so he can have his cheesecake live! It was delicious, but the best part of the meal was Luis who took care of us. This guy is special! You could tell he just has an amazing spirit and he took really good care of us even though we came in at 12:30 at night. We didn't feel rushed, and we felt very well taken care of. He is an absolute gem.

Very good diner originally from Brooklyn. The LOCATION of this particular branch is on the Northwest side of the building on West 45th St, NOT on Broadway where Google Maps pin is placed. This makes it somewhat difficult to find as the building is very large and you may end up walking around it. There is another Juniors listing pinned at that location and the two should be merged. Pastrami and brisket sandwiches were excellent. Of course the NY Cheesecake is excellent! This is pretty much quintessential New York cheesecake - better than Cheesecake Factory and a must try for anyone who has never had it. Fries and coleslaw are very good. Potato pancake was excellent including the applesauce which was chunky and very fresh. The complimentary beets were delicious, although the pickles are sauerkraut flavored not kosher dills. Their side Caesar salad was the worst I've ever had - lots of bitter romaine with very little thin dressing. This was a shame as Caesars are my favorite salad and I was looking forward to it. I returned it and they very generously gave me something else, a French onion soup which was very good. Unsweet iced tea was brewed, not fountain thankfully. Our server was extremely nice and helpful. Bathrooms were clean. The whole restaurant ambience is very nice and they have a large bar as well.

Pastrami Sandwich and salad with ranch was wonderful! Fried chicken sandwich with fries was excellent as well! And the cheesecake … wow! We split a slice of cheesecake with strawberries on top and it was fantastic! The hot chocolate was super yummy and came with ample whipped cream! It’s a great place to eat lunch, dinner or go to after a late show for a dessert or late dinner! Highly recommend!

This place has a full bar. We came in for breakfast around 10 am and it was busy. We didn’t have a long wait before we were seated. I ordered the corn beef hash with scrambled eggs 🥚 my husband ordered the scrambled Nova. They also provide coloring books for kids. The food was pretty good they give large portions. I would recommend you check it out. Even though it was busy our server was attentive.

We stopped at Junior’s twice during our NYC visit. The first for dinner and the second time for dessert. The Reuben (not pictured) was delicious and on good quality rye bread. The French onion soup was also amazing. The BLT was fine but nothing spectacular. The desserts were amazing. We selected a cheesecake and an ice cream sundae to split. Both were good portions and tasted great. The cappuccino had with dessert left a lot to be desired. However, Junior’s doesn’t seem like a place to specialize in great coffee.

We went here for dessert only (a little cheesecake in NYC!) Our server was funny and informative and helped us make our picks. The cheese cake was delicious! Slices are HUGE so consider sharing if you are a light eater. The restaurant space is big and was very clean with a comfortable atmosphere. This place is right off Times Square and I recommend you stop by for a slice!

Went there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and everything was amazing! The cheesecake was like heaven on a plate, creamy and light enough to make the perfect dessert, even after a heavy dinner. For breakfast I had their Lumberjck meal, which had 2 griddle cakes that were so fluffy, and came with bacon, sausage, and your choice of home fries or grits (I got the grits). For lunch I had the Reuben sandwich which was packed in with corned beef, but again, so delicious! For dinner I only had the disco fries with the cheesecake. All of it was *chefs kiss*. The staff were super friendly and the restaurant has a Brooklyn theme (as that's where the original location is from) but it made me feel super welcomed and at home. I would absolutely recommend and definitely go again!!

Went there for late night dinner after the Broadway show. The beef burger and the chicken sandwich were so good. The onion rings weren't that special as it sounds or looks. The dessert: Strawberry cheesecake and lemon-lime cheesecake (only for summer) were delicious. Our host- Stefanie was great at her job. Recommended for anyone who wants to go out for a date or just to grab some sweet dessert.

Stick with cheesecake at Juniors. Food was generally bland and underwhelming. Onion rings were 80% batter. Very pricy, like everything at Times Square.

Four of us came in for dinner. We had heard about the cheesecake, but wasn't sure what to order for dinner. Hint: if you plan to eat dessert, go easy on the meal choices. Many of the items are huge. I had the Chicken Salad BLT with fries. Probably could have left out the fries to enjoy the cheesecake even more. The sandwich was really good but the cheesecake was outstanding. My friends had and egg salad sand, a BLT, and a burger. All were enjoyed. But all agreed that the cheesecake was the thing. Our waiter was Ray, a hyperactive fast-talker from Carolina. He was also pretty awesome.

Love this place!!! Today was our second time visiting and we left so pleased just like the first time we went. The first time we went for breakfast, everything was great and this time we went for lunch and wow it was so so good. My husband had a burger and said it was the best burger he has eaten in a long time. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and I’ll just say that I’ll be craving that sandwich when I get back home. Everything has been delicious each time, the quality of the food and the service has been A+. Obviously I highly recommend it!! Also I wanted to add that our servers (Jordan & Jose) have been great, they served us in a timely, professional and friendly manner. The cleanliness of the restaurant even tough it was packed was spotless, the bathrooms were so clean and even smelled good.

Yet another AMAZING meal at Juniors! Our server was Alex, and he was great! If you haven’t ever had a slice of Juniors Cheesecake, it’s a MUST try. Their base is a thin layer or sponge cake. You don’t have Graham overriding the flavor of the cheesecake! SO GOOD!

Visited New York for a birthday vacation August 13-18 and wanted to try the famous Junior’s cheesecake and decided to have dinner here. Right in the heart of Times Square this place did not disappoint with its large portions, fast, friendly service variety of menu items and great tasting food. When I visit New York again I will definitely be eating here again.

My visit to Junior's Diner on Wednesday, February 28th, was an absolute delight from start to finish. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated at our table. Our server, whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch, provided exemplary service throughout our meal. He was attentive, polite, and made sure our dining experience was top-notch. This was our second time visiting juniors, however we visited the one at 1626 Broadway West 49th Street and had a great time there, so opted to come again. For our orders, I opted for eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, and home fried potatoes, while my fiancé chose the corned beef hash. The dishes were served promptly, and each bite was bursting with flavor. My only small gripe was that my home fried potatoes were cold, but it was a minor issue compared to the overall fantastic meal that I didn't feel the need to mention it. The portions are great and the free refil on coffees and sodas was very welcomed! Overall, I highly recommend Junior's Diner for its excellent service and delicious food. We left happy and can’t wait to return.

Our service was incredibly fast — we were seated immediately and our food came out only five minutes after we ordered. While the menu is huge, there are a limited number of vegetarian options. That said, what we did order was good, fast, and a filling portion! Next time we’re back I’ll be sure to try the cheesecake.

Really great food. Definitely get a piece of cheesecake! I loved the ruben sandwich. Prices are slightly higher than what I would expect to pay outside of time square but not crazy overpriced and it's a tradition for me to come here for a slice of their awesome cheesecake after seeing a show. The staff are decently attentive and are friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant didn't disappoint! Huge portions with something for everyone. Brisket melt, Blt, Burgers, onion rings, turkey club and the pickles!!!!!! With it being busy, we didn't wait long for our seats or food after ordering. Sergio working hard behind the bar keeping up with casual conversation while slinging drinks, taking orders all with grace. Hospitality by management at its finest. I'm glad Able took a small piece of Texas with him while he manages with a big heart and smile with every customer he greets! So glad we decided to stop in and give this place a try. **Definitely the best cheesecake we've ever eaten!

Stopped by for breakfast; avocado toast with hard boiled egg and a croissant. Verdict: overall decent but nothing to rave about. Diner setting, diner food, better than your average diner service. Definitely paying Times Square prices. Avocado toast; nice presentation, tasty. Egg had a tiny bit of shell. Croissant; basic.

A must stop if you want something sweet and love cheesecake! This place is so neat. It can be very busy so if you want to eat inside, I'd recommend a reservation. We just wanted cheesecake so the line to get that to go wasn't too long. They have registers right when you walk in for to go orders of treats, which made the process nice. There was an area outside we could sit and eat as well. We tried several different varieties and glad we did. We loved everything but our favorite was the cheesecake brownie. The raspberry was up next followed by the lemon cake. We have tried ordering these before to our home, but they don't taste the same. Won't be doing that anymore and just will have to wait to visit again to have great cheesecake. The restaurant looked fun with a large variety of food items, but we strictly had desserts.

This is a comprehensive review of Junior's. First I walked in and told the host that I needed a table for 1 and was seated within 3 minutes. The wait wasn't long and it was 3:30pm on a Saturday. I sat down and immediately ordered my signature Arnold Palmer because that's my go to drink of choice. It was brought out immediately. I then told my waiter I wanted the brisket platter and she put the order in. The place was about 75% full so I was expecting a moderate wait time on getting my food back. The brisket plate came in less than 2 minutes. I thought to myself what I was always told, good food has love in it! Meaning whoever is cooking it really enjoys and wants to cook each dish. There isn't any way that can be the case if the food came out quicker than Chic-fil-a. With that being said the brisket plate was literally a notch over edible. Brisket was drowned in some gravy and the plate had to be heavily doctored to be tolerated. I put some pepper and salt on the food for flavor. As far as the temp it was lukewarm. I then immediately ordered a chicken sandwich and I think tipped the waitress off no pun intended and she possibly made sure it was handled better because the chicken sandwich took about 10 minutes or more to come out and was piping hot. Both the sandwich and fries were piping hot. Overall the chicken was fried hard and crispy with a nice juicy center. Overall the better dish. Lastly the cheesecake was the best and clearly the reason why this place is thriving. They got the cheesecake completely right. The cake crust is a hit. I haven't been here since college so I thought this would be a good nostalgic review. Nevertheless I'd recommend for the cheesecake but the food could use a little bar rescue help. Until next time ~ Bon Vivánt ~

Visiting the area and had to try the popular Juniors spot near Times Square. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Great vibes of numerous people having a good time. Staff were friendly and helpful. Tried out the famous Brooklyn egg cream. Definitely different but was tasty. Disco fries was my appetizer, which was essentially poutine but with fresh mozzarella, mushrooms and mushroom gravy. My main was the bacon cheeseburger with sautéed onions. The sautéed onions on the burger just added more depth to an already well seasoned and tasty burger. The burger came with more fries and fried onion rings, which had a nice crunch to them. Washed everything down with Dr. Brown’s root beer and had the carrot cake cheesecake to go and ate later in the day. A must try if you’re in the area!

I visited on a Sunday night in December so there was obviously a long line, but it was well worth it. The wait for take out was maybe 15 minutes at the most. I got the plain cheesecake slice to share and regret not getting one whole slice for myself instead of sharing. It's the best cheesecake I've had. They don't make them like that in California at least! Definitely recommend that one!

There are 3 parts to this location. The first part is just the bakery with a plentiful selection of cheesecakes for purchase either whole or by the slice. The second is the main restaurant where there may or may not be a queue out the door. Queueing gets your name on a list, if it's full inside. The third is the takeaway door around the other side on the adjacent street. We knew we could get takeaway and after choosing our menu items, I asked the lady inside the restaurant where I should go to order takeaway and she pointed to the queue out the door. After clarifying twice, she assured me this queue was for takeaway also. At this point I gave up and we were leaving and found the other doorway, as we had a pram and it's just past the ramp. See photos for the different entrances. The team in the takeaway section were apologetic and organized our food in less than 10 minutes. So, if you don't want to dine in or can't (like us with a little one), head around the side door and grab a takeaway of the same menu items. 🥪🍰

This place used to be magical but it’s lost a bit of its polish and shine although what hasn’t these days? Service was excellent - attentive and very polite from the greeters to the wait staff - no problems there. The food, I had the chicken pot pie, arrived cool. My wife’s Reuben was stacked tall and very good she said - way too much to eat. The cheesecake was “okay” - we had some type of chocolate variety. We’ve gone in the past and this was our “go too” but times have changed and so has this usually reliable institution. Go? Yes, but know it’s a different experience than in the past…

Good food and BIG portions!! Especially a large chunk of cheesecake for desert :) Cheesecake was top quality! Service was great by Evelyn too. Probably would love it being more cose atmosphere and not "table next to table, full beam lights on" place. Overall great time.

Juniors still has the best cheesecake around! Went original and it was smooth, awesome and just the perfect blend. Came for dinner and got right in. The service was fantastic and they are very speedy. They have a great system down of getting people in and turning tables around. Really the only thing to get is the Reuben and the cheesecake, the temptation may be to venture to other items but you may be disappointed. Fries were average. Chicken was average. But the Reuben was great! Get the Reuben! Overall, if you are looking for a place to eat dessert while in Times Square, get the Juniors to go cheesecake!

A no frills restaurant for a quick bite. We were promptly seated, but we got there around 4, so probably before the dinner rush. We ordered a Caesar salad, some fried shrimp, and a burger. The complimentary pickled beets and pickles were quite delicious. I had never had pickled beets before, but these were enjoyable. The Caesar salad was good; tangy, flavorful, and cheesy, but I wish it had just a tad more dressing. The fried shrimp were what we expected; crunchy and plenty. The burger and fries was fine. Like I said, no frills, but the flavor of each entree was good.

We love coming to Junior's! Today, we saved our stomachs for dessert. Their cheesecakes are to die for! I got chocolate mousse cheesecake. The mousse was the perfect lighter complement for the cheesecake! Everyone's desserts were yummy and perfect paired with coffee. The waiters are always personable and fun as well. A favorite NYC tradition!

We were a bit sceptical about this place, but after reading the reviews, we decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint, and we actually did come back a few times after. The food came out very quickly, the portions are huge, staff is super attentive, and in here, we had the most delicious cheesecake (Brownie explosion) and Carrot cake ever. You should absolutely check this place out.
