Yuck. I don't think I've ever seen carpet as filthy as the carpet in this hotel - hallways and my room. I think it's supposed to be a light brown (tan) but you'd never guess it. Linen trolleys are stored in the lobby and eating areas. Housekeeping didn't bother to visit my room one day so I had to call and ask for shampoo and clean towels. And I returned to a room that smelled like food from the previous night's trash. The front desk people were helpful and friendly. But I'm not sure how much management cares about the hotel.

This is the cheapest option we could find south of 132nd, so we didn’t expect high-end luxury. As we walked in and saw the mat covering a 1’x2’ hole on the floor of the lobby, we figured we might be in trouble. We booked two rooms. A double bed on the fifth floor with stained, but seemingly clean sheets, featuring two holes on the bathroom ceiling. Not pretty but livable considering the savings. Our second room on the seventh floor was simply unclean. Towel piled up on the corner of the shower, bed unmade, floor covered in small white particles. We spoke to the front desk and were told no other rooms were available, but we could wait in the lobby for the room to be cleaned. I asked how long, and was told it would be up to housekeeping, an estimate couldn’t be made. We sat in the lobby with our 6 month old for 20 minutes, a much shorter wait than I expected, before being told there was, in fact, another room available. This one on the second floor was clean, with the same stained sheets. The quality of the unfinished accommodations warrant a 1 star review, however the fact that they relocated us and the breakfast included chocolate croissants and good mozzarella combined with the budget expectations, doubles this to 2 stars.

DO NOT GO THERE! If I could, I would give it a 0 rating ! The room was filthy! The shower had dirt all in the tub, with the drain plug out of the shower and with hair in it. I wish I could post the pictures I took . The bed had black specks on it, who knows if it was bed bugs. I was not taking the risks. We checked in at 5pm and by 5:20, we canceled the reservation. Then, when we tried to cancel, the property manager had the nerve to say he wasn’t going to give us our money back because there was coffee missing ! Seriously coffee? I wouldn’t even dare to take the coffee from that room with how filthy it was. My husband and I also have a great jobs where, thank god, I don’t need to steal a packet of coffee. By the way, when we walked in the lobby of the hotel, there were mounds and mounds of dirty laundry just sitting in front. This place was NOT up to standards and I hope the city goes and inspects them so others won’t make the mistake of reserving here, just like we did, and ruin their experience of New York City.

I don't understand why people have made such negative comments about this place. There is a reception at the entrance and the employees are very helpful. The beds are viscose and conform to your body shape, very comfortable. The room is generally clean. There are plenty of closets to put your belongings. There is an iron and ironing board. It's a safe place. In terms of location, it is in the best place for me. What more could it be…

This hotel is permanently closed. The City of New York shut it down in early December. Do not book a room here.

Check in was chaos. It took 3 people to check in one person at a time. Them breakfast was also chaos. Getting the bathroom key was no guarantee that the bathroom was empty. The food was serviceable but nothing special. The website says there is parking, but there is not. This budget hotel met our needs for one night, but we'll keep searching for another place next time.

Room was ok, bed is clean. Toilet and desk have hair everywhere. The bath tub couldn’t drain the water quickly. No TV remote control at the room. Furnitures are quite old and damaged. My first night at 4:33 am. Someone was knocking my door while I was sleeping, I see thru the door, I could see a person moved away and left. But I couldn’t see his/her face. Already reported the reception. Receptionist was quite friendly and discussed the situation.

Cheapest midtown NYC hotel. Dated but functional and beds are quite comfortable. I saw the other reviews and was quite apprehensive. Yes there was a hole in the bathroom ceiling. Yes there was a bit of plaster missing off the wall. However, it was clean, the hole was covered up, the hotel is quiet, the staff are friendly, nothing went wrong, everything worked. It was not luxury, it was $500 cheaper than the next hotel in line over the five days I stayed. The bed was as good as any expensive hotel. It was 100% memory foam and thick and a good nights sleep. The hotel is between 10th and 11th avenues, close to Hudson Yard subway on line 7. So it’s an extra 10 mins walk from Times Square or Penn Station compared to hotels on 6th or 7th. As a result it is much quieter, no queues, no hooting from cars. A nice stay. A real bargain. I’m glad I picked this hotel and saved $500 to spend at Macy’s!

The young girl in the reception was very kind and friendly but other than that this hotel was very bad. The price was the cheapest we could find (180$ tax included) for only a single night stay but the sheets had stains, the bathtub was dirty, the closet doors were not closing, the room was extremely small and packed with furnitures, there was a very load train passing near by which made quite the noise. If I had known all these I would have probably not book it. we stayed in just because it was a single night we were in the hotel for literally maybe 6 hours to sleep. DO NOT RECOMMEND IT, just pay another 20-30$ on top and get a better hotel if you can. I am giving a single star just due to the helpful young lady in the lobby that’s it.

Two positives about this place. The service from the staff is good and friendly and the ac works quite well. However almost everything else is horrible. The room is smaller than it appears on their website and third party providers (this is probably why the ac works well as the room is small). A bunch of the lights and other electronics are not plugged in as they’re aren’t enough outlets. The water pressure in the shower is very weak, the toilet doesn’t flush super well and the bathroom exhaust Is weak. Another problem that popped up werthe entry cards not working properly

We booked our room through Expedia and when we got there the hotel was closed down. 👎👎👎👎We tried calling a week before to confirm the reservation and I couldn't get through. Luckily Expedia found us another room at another hotel.

THIS HOTEL IS CLOSED - DON’T BOOK We booked this hotel in July for our vacation the week before Christmas. We were dropped off by our Uber just before sunset and as we approached the hotel a gentleman from the garage across the street holler that the hotel closed 2 weeks ago. We looked inside the glass doors and it looked destroyed. There was no notice from them and no refund give . I am in the process of pursuing a refund through the 3rd party service we booked through or PayPal if they fail - but PLEASE do not book this. They’re not open. They have robbed us.

I booked a room in this hotel for my sister and her family thru Expedia. This was done months ago. When she got there on 5/16/23 around 1pm, she was informed by the receptionist Sofie/Sophia that no reservation shows under her name. I texted my sister the Expedia confirmation and Sofie refused to look at this. She was rude and unsympathetic for the following reasons: 1. Sofie blamed Expedia for the mess up. 2. It was my sister's fault to just walk in and to expect a reservation. Expedia had to tell her that this was booked long time ago. 3. when asked by Expedia if she can accommodate my sister she said they were overbooked. 4. she never apologized for the inconvenience. 5. And just the way she talked to me and my sister was just poor customer service. At one point, the Expedia rep had to ask her..Is this the way you treat guests? 6. she made us feel that my sister was a nuisance for insisting that she had a reservation when supposedly nothing shows. In the end, Expedia had to relocate my sister and her family. Then Sofie tried to amend things by telling my sister, that she can have a room available by relocating another guest! Is this how this hotel operates?? This woman should not be at the receptionist area. She lacks the skills to handle customer service issues. The attitude she exhibited does not merit her to welcome guests at this hotel or any other hotel for that matter. In my opinion she needs more customer service training.

Place was a mess! When we arrived at 22.45 there were two NYPD officers solving a problem with a person staying there. This already gave us an eerie feeling. Room was OK, very outdated and somewhat clean. Stained bedsheets but no dirt. Wifi also very slow.

Horrendous! TV is not working in the room, internet is not working, toilet doesnt flush and its clogged. The receptionist was unhappy at all times and did not care at all!Dirty sheets with stains and hair on it. Door didnt lock! Safe in the room was not working. Elevator didnt work! No breakfast, only cereal but there is no milk! 😂 this property is a big time joke! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! Pay $10-20 more and stay in a decent hotel in the area.

I booked this hotel because it was simply the cheapest in Manhattan, but the hotel is dreadful. I didn't have any problem with the bathroom or the bed, but I had problems with the lock at the door (it didn't locked, anybody could have opened the door from the outside). Other customers were complaining at the reception regarding locks. How much does it cost to fix a lock? I wonder what do the hotel owners do with the money they receive from guests.

The pictures are outdated and deceiving. The room was dirty- no pillowcases on the pillows. the pillows weren't even made on the bed they were strewn at the bottom of it. There was no comforter. No towels in the room and never actually got any. I fell asleep at 10pm after waiting for them. Was told "the linen guy is coming theres no towels in the whole hotel," when i walked downstairs because they didn't answer the front desk phone when i called 3 different times. Wasn't told of a towel issue when i checked in. They don't actually have a luggage place to hold your luggage for the day, they just leave it in the lobby and most of the time theres not a staff person at the front desk watching it. I know because I waited 5+ minutes everytime I needed a front desk person. Mold & hair in the bathroom, sticky floors. Would never, ever stay here again. How this place has higher reviews is absolutely beyond me.

My stay for a weekend was great. My room was nice and cozy and clean. The bathtub/shower was great water was nice and hot. I arrived in NYC a bit early before check in and my room was ready. Only problem was they couldn’t get my tv to work it kept telling me it wasn’t a signal. Called front desk they sent a guy up and he tells me it’s nothing he can do he tried. So I was a weekend with no television service. But overall I will return love the spot I was in walking distance to Times Square was perfect.

Good location, price is really reasonable, hotel is not the best but if you don’t want to pay 1k$ for one night and you know that you don’t expect too much, this is really good place to stay. I recommend this for students who are traveling. Rooms are ok, clean and big enough so you can open 2 big suitcases. Anyway you are not going to stay in the room except sleeping.

The main and biggest asset of this place is its location. For a very reasonable price you can stay in the heart of Manhattan. You can get on foot in only 15 minutes to Madison Square Garden, 20 minutes to Times Square and 25 minutes to Empire State Building. There's also a big communication hub nearby (train + metro) - the Pennsylvania Station, where you're most likely to end up when arriving from JFK. Hotel staff is very helpful, so if you need anything don't be afraid to ask them. Nevertheless, cleanliness of the hotel is something they can work on. Towels (although felt like they've been recently washed) had some big stains on them and we've found some hairs on our bedsheet (but sheets themselves also felt like washed). There was also a minor issue regarding unusual operating instructions for the shower, but the hotel staff came to help really quickly.

Not recommendable!!! We booked a room there months ago for the first week of December and now the room has been canceled by the hotel for no reason. 6 weeks before arrival!!!! How are we supposed to find something cheap now??? Simply outrageous. One star because you can't give zero.

Oh where to start. Rude at check in. We were told there would be breakfast as we were checking in, hours later when we asked what time breakfast would be, we were told no breakfast. They then put a piece of paper over the sign about breakfast. I don’t know if they decided they couldn’t afford it because they were busier than usual because of the marathon or what. Website said you could get a fridge in the room for $15/day, nope. We have a baby so that was not cool. No ice buckets in the room. When I asked for one I was told they didn’t have any so he gave me a garbage liner to use. Room was half done, still had painters tape on the bathroom wall. The bed was very hard and the pillows were all flat. The rooms are tiny. The toilet didn’t flush well and the shower was very slippery and had poor water pressure. Hair dryer was missing from the wall. No fan in the bathroom. Tv only got about 3 channels. No cups of any kind in the room even though there is a coffee maker. Had to go ask for some. Last night there I saw some ants crawling on the bed. The staff just seemed generally oblivious and confused when we would ask for things like another pillow or cups or anything else. I have never missed home more. It basically made the entire trip more stressful especially because we had our 9 month old with us.

Worst Hotel experience ever. Terrible position (I know it might look good on the map, but in reality you will need to walk a lot because public transportation stops are always 10/15 mins walk from here). The neighborhood is simply DREADFUL. Do not come here if you travel alone. The rooms are ugly, old, full of broken stuff, dirty... They even ask you 5$ per luggage for luggage deposit. This hotel is so "cheap", even though it was quite expensive!

Let me start off by saying, I never take the time to write reviews. If I could give this hotel 0 stars, I would. This was the absolute worst hotel experience I've ever had. Let me start off by saying the staff was rude, lazy and it was like pulling teeth to get them to do their job just to check in. The hotel also charged $50 for early check in and proceeded to have us wait in 25 min past noon (which was the time we paid to check in for). The room had broken air/heating. There is no microwave, no fridge and the bathroom outlets didn't work. The actual running water in the hotel stopped working entirely for hours and eventually turned on, coming out brown. Blowdryer was also broken. I would NEVER stay here again and it is not even a cheap place. Besides the location, save your money and go elsewhere.

Stayed there for 5 nights with my 10 year old kid. ++ : the location is just perfect. We walked most of the time from the hôtel to times square, empire state building, rockerfeller centre, madison square garden, etc. Took the Subway to go to the statue of liberty, 9/11 memorial and central park. The bed is extremely comfortable, the room is clean, and the personnel is nice. -- : the room is smaller than in looked in the pictures when i booked it, and there's very little pressure in the shower. The bathtub was a little clogged as well. Given the price, this is a great place to stay. Will definitely come back next time.

It's a bit run down, and normally when places are like that - if the people are helpful & friendly...it makes up for it. They did NOT in this case, they weren't friendly at all. Way too much stuff (furniture) crammed into one small room. I dont think I'd stay here again, despite it being cheap, there's other places that are better, and easier location to get to.

My husband and I had a good time there. We only really used the hotel room to go to bed but it was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in.

You get what you paid for. The best thing is you get descent breakfast. They will have warm food like eggs and sausages, oatmeal and etc. The room is basic. When I stayed, the room only had sheets and no blanket so I had to ask for it. The hotel is located pretty convenient place and u can get aroubd the city without any trouble. Just when you decide to come back late, the area felt a bit sketchy. Oh and there is 24h auto repair store so the noise level was pretty high throughout the stay.

Had a reservation for one night - photos looked fine - reviews were all over the place. When I finally found it, the road was so dark, desolate and sketchy. Couldn't easily find the front door ("Use other door" was on two entrances) - at that point I was fearful and hailed a taxi - stayed up the street at a nice, safe Marriott for only $100 more.

Small, basic room. The drain stop was stuck in to tub, so water filled the tub when the shower was used. The door lock was only usable with some back and forth adjusting of the door. There is an ice machine near the lobby, but no ice buckets anywhere. Holiday Inn cups, but to my knowledge this isn’t a Holiday Inn. Lol. The breakfast was bizarre - no food available by 8:30 on the first day. On the second day, we went down earlier - waffles could be made on a self-serve waffle iron that got stuck closed and had to be wrestled open, and there was no syrup. Hot hard boiled eggs. Fried mashed potato pockets. Soggy mixed berries. Slices of American cheese. Cereal that had a few kinds mixed together. A juice machine with no juice. It’s a very strange setup. I inadvertently left a couple rings on the bed when I checked out, but they “weren’t found” when they cleaned the room. I would never stay here again.

This is the worst hotel in the world! They offer breakfast, but at 8 o'clock in the morning you can't even drink coffee and I couldn't find any food. The room was dirty, there were no pillowcases or towels in the room. The shower curtain was very dirty. The heating was provided by a mobile heater, there was no air conditioning. The staff was condescending and phlegmatic! I will never come here again!

  • 4/5 Kenneth M. 1 year ago on Google
Room was nice, clean and beds were ok. Staff is incredible, we had an issue with the TV and someone was at our room to fix it in a very short time. The only negatives were the shower handle fell off, the internet wouldn't work, and there was no ice machine or ice bucket. But my family enjoyed our stay and will probably be returning.

  • 1/5 suna r. 1 year ago on Google
The water in the shower doesn't work properly. Basically, you can't take a shower at all. I complained about it everyday but no one came to fix it or do anything about. It's not very clean and nothing functions properly. If I had the chance to choose again I would avoid this hotel at any cost.

If I could I this place 0 stars I would. Absolutely disgusting, horrible service, eerie atmosphere. The lobby had trash everywhere, boxes everywhere, our room number was written with pencil, whole establishment smelled, our room was disgusting with weird stains on our bed, open hole in the bathroom. There were dangerous maintenance rooms open for public view and access. Checked in and checked out with a refund in under 30 min. Not to mention that she refunded the wrong card it first! Leaves STATE IDS open on the desk for anyone to see. Absolutely horrific. Place needs to be condemned.

This is the dirtiest hotel that I have never seen in my life, the restroom's towels where full of hairs as also the bed sheets and the floor. The employees have never answered to my requests for booking an air shuttle to the airport and I booked it by myself with some difficulty. The breakfast was very small but it was good, this is the only good thing during this my experience at middtown convention center.

The rate v/s service, is in general ok thinking that this hotel is in the heart of Manhattan, - the location is convenient close to many key points (ports, parks and iconic buildings ) . - Personnel is kind and friendly. Bad points: - in front of the hotel there is a car repair place, sometimes it is noisy - breakfast time is like a war for food, many people eating like they were starving, not many options of food and not enough chairs - is not very clean (bath and under the bed was dirty) - only one elevator, much time spent waiting it

  • 4/5 J C. 5 years ago on Google
A good place to stay in Manhattan as it is Centrally located, and a short cab ride to most of the mid Manhattan tourist attractions. The prize is right for the location, though the hotel itself is older. The rooms are small, and cramped and furnished with the basics. We stayed in 2 rooms for 7 people, and when we were not out being tourists, we found it more comfortable sitting around and hanging out at the lobby’s large breakfast table, than trying to relax in the small rooms. The mattresses in our double room where made of memory foam, which we found soft, but comfortable enough. Though it’s an older hotel the rooms are clean. Friendly staff.

  • 3/5 Marv P. 5 years ago on Google
The hotel appears quite old and not well maintained. We didn't feel comfortable. When we arrived the room was freezing cold (December) and took a while to heat up. We had to ask for towels because they haven't supplied any in the first place. Also found some hair in the bed. Stayed there one night and cancelled the others (staff was very helpful in this case) because we found a much more modern and cleaner room in a hotel directly at Times Square for a very small extra charge.

Don’t stay here. We had booked a room here for 5 nights. We had wifi for one. It is advertised that there is wifi in all areas but this is not true. When I asked about it I was basically told no there’s no wifi now. I said I had it before but not now and was just shrugged at. It is advertised that this hotel provides breakfast, it does not. So no wifi, no breakfast. Room was cold and the heater was not good enough to heat whole room. Dirty towels were provided - looked like there was makeup and other dirt on them. Not just one towel either, multiple dirty towels. Housekeeping made the bed some times, but not always - not sure why.

We booked a room in February for our holiday in December. Today the cancellation suddenly came. No one has contacted us before. We have the flights and now we no longer have a hotel. This is a huge impudence.
