I have read a lot of bad reviews for this hotel so I was a bit worried. I took the executive floor which was priced very affordable. The hotel is not the newest but the lobby is nice and clean. The rooms on the 18th floor are big enough. Bathroom is new, room a bit older (might be good if they replace dirty carpets) but still serves the purpose. Breakfast is disappointing - 2-3 star.. so I was eating out. Location is splendid.... 5 min to Times square and 5 min to Central park. All in all is good value hotel for spending time on Manhattan.

I will state my experience from start to finish in this hotel. It started off great they allowed us to check in 1 hour early gave us a gift bag and greeted is nicely at checkin. The problems started when we entered our room. The Tv was blasting and someone elseā€™s suitcases were scattered. We had to wait 1hour to checkin. I will give the benefit of doubt since we were allowed to checkin early but I assume situation wouldā€™ve been the same regardless of checkin time. Now the room wasnā€™t very clean but at least the bedding was clean which was important. The location was amazing and the parking was free as well (with a voucher). The grab and go breakfast wasnā€™t bad for a light breakfast before heading out to explore. Now this hotel earned 1 star for its location, .5 stars for service relatively quick when we called down for a fridge, .5 for the room while it wasnā€™t too clean it was still a decent room, .5 for the parking and .5 for the breakfast. Will I stay at this hotel again? Unless I have more to spend It isnā€™t a dreadful option but I would look at other places before deciding on this one. A clean room should be a standard at any hotel.

What a nightmare of a hotel. Avoid like the plague. The elevators in the hotel have been out all night, and itā€™s been over 7 hours. I am staying in the executive suites on the 18th floor with my parents who are elderly and cannot climb 18 flights of stairs. Staff told us the elevators would be back in ā€œ30 minutesā€ and itā€™s been over 7 hoursā€¦ and itā€™s past midnight. No compensation and complete and utter chaos in the lobby/reception area. Nightmare hotel!

Terrible! Terrible! Booked a room on 18th floor. Hotel did not disclose they were undergoing construction on floor above me. Hammering, banging all night. Complained several times before they moved us to 8th floor. This room was a complete downgrade from the 700 night I paid for. Iā€™ve stayed at nicer rooms at a motel 6! Was promised a full refund but now that Iā€™m back home the manager has gone non-responsive! Paid for queen beds and was put into a double bed with no refund or compensation! Stay away from this hotel, they will scam you!

Not a good experience. The room was disgusting and not clean at all. For the price we paid for this room, I would expect cleanliness at the very least. There are so many places to stay in NYC, and we will definitely not be back.

By far my worst hotel experience. When we got in our room there were no pillow cases on the pillows, like the cleaning of the room was rushed. Stayed in a ā€œExecutive Suiteā€ and the carpet in the room was stained. We were woken up by a roach crawling on us in bed. And because we were checking out that day they only offered to give us back the ā€œresort feeā€. And this was after speaking to a manager. Will never stay here again and will advise other not to as well.

Update: I booked this hotel via booking.com. I realized just now that the hotel also charged me for the entire 7-night stay in error. Hotel promised resolution within 24-48 hours. We'll see if that happens. Sadly, this hotel is in dire need of an update: cabinet doors falling apart, stains on carpet and top of HVAC enclosure, moldy shower (nice rain showerhead fixture, though). Kudos to friendly and hardworking cleaning staff. Great location.

First things first, I hope itā€™s not too late for those to see the low rate review this place has on Google, should have been first place I look. They have a false review rate on hotels.con. The location is great. View from the room not what you see in the pics. I recently got one of the renovated rooms, and it should be spectacular, itā€™s not. Tried to get a different room and something more accommodating to what I assumed I was paying for. The front desk was more than friendly and polite to tell me no they can not switch my room. That being said they listened to everything I had to say, took my room number down and told me someone will be right up. Cons. Like warm at very best shower, shower was not hot. Tv remote missing, if you can find the buttons on the tv it works. There is no fridge but they will supply you one for a fee, due to me not being happy they offered to give me one free of charge which I never got. The view of the building next door was phenomenal but not the view they represent on their websites or other. The bathroom so much more smaller than what you see in the pictures. Due to the floor being renovated the ice machine or water room in the hallway was non existent, Iā€™m sure you need to travel to another floor for that. Parking is not free but conveniently accessible that is a plus. Pricey but not the worst. One toilet paper roll for the room and lack of towels. Iā€™ve stayed at other hotels for worst and offered more. I was suggested that I could check out if I was so unhappy but I decided to stay since it was for one night and I would NOT get my money back if so decided. Convenient location but a bit over priced for the lack of amenities and like warm shower. Atleast they were polite.

Just a MEH hotel. Great location. I got the most expensive room and it isn't worth. Burned lights, scratched/broken furniture in the room. It's 50Ā° outside and because it is winter, there is no heat šŸ¤£ anyhow, like I said, just a meh.

We stayed in the executive Class rooms on 18th floor which was nice and modern, however we heard a lot of complaints about the rest of the hotel been poor, we witnessed people complaining at the front desk. We stayed in room 1818, very noisy with lifts going up and down all night, however the room was nice and fresh and great shower. Breakfast is a coupon for a coffee or orange juice and a piece of fruit and a muffin or crossint. Great location but hotel could be much better.

Last day in this hotel. Great location, Executive Class rooms are very nice. Very comfortable bed, everything thing you want, breakfast consists of hot drink or juice, pastry/ muffins and fruit, plus tea/ coffe facility in room. Rooms also have hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Would stay here again

Great hotel!! The house keeper cleaner our room was wonderful and gave us extra coffee, also, you know the hotel is great when their complimentary in room coffee is an espresso machine! The room wasn't super big, but that is to be expected in NYC. Only annoying thing was that they were painting all the walls in the lobby so part of it was always blocked off and the other part was subquentially really crowded.

Meh, it's alright. Staying here right now and our room didn't even come with towels.(Staff gave us some upon request) Room smelled like cigarettes upon entry. Leaky sink as well. Pretty okay place to stay at if you need a bed for the night, wouldn't recommend staying for more than a night however.

Do NOT stay here. There are so many options in New York and this has to be the worst hotel, especially given how expensive it is. We were concerned about cleanliness since many reviews have mentioned how dirty the rooms can be. That ended up being the least of our concerns. When we arrived our curtains were all the way up and could not be rolled down manually. We immediately went down to the front desk to tell them and they had a technician come up to fix it. The technician came and said there should be a remote that is specialized and without it, the curtains wonā€™t come down. That remote was not in the room. He said he would relay that to the front desk and they would contact us with a solution. THAT NEVER HAPPENED. We went down to complain the next morning since we got zero sleep. I guess they forgot weā€™re in the middle of Manhattan and neon lights beam through the windows all night! We spoke to a different clerk who said they would have a technician come up and fix it. Thatā€™s when we knew this would never get resolved. We then decided to talk a manager since we were going in circles. The manager, Gina (sp?), again said she would talk to a technician and look at our reservation (whatever that means). We were pretty upset by then and explained to her we couldnā€™t sleep with lights beaming in all night. She brushed us off with an eye roll and we never heard from her again. We gave up at that point and stayed two more nights without sleep. The room was also extremely hot and the a/c didnā€™t work despite the listing saying we would have it. When we finally checked out we spoke to another manager (Sandra). She was slightly more concerned about our horrible stay and was gracious enough to waive the $40 maintenance fee (sarcasm). For paying close to $500/night you would think they would care about their guest service service. We spoke to at least five employees and they all passed the buck. Alas they have no accountability because the location is unbeatable and the hotel Will survive on that alone. You would do better staying at a Holiday Inn. Avoid this place at all costs. Hereā€™s a picture of how our room looked at night. It doesnā€™t do justice to how bright it was.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! You will be disappointed. I paid almost $1,000 for a two-night stay. The coffee machine was not even plugged in and I would have had to move furniture in order to plug it in. The coffee machine was not a keurig, but they provided me kpods to make a cup of coffee. They did not include any complimentary bottled water, and when I called to request some bottled water I was told by the employee they do not provide that. I had to speak with a manager in order to receive a complimentary bottle of water at an executive class hotel that cost almost $500 a night. The complimentary breakfast was a grab-and- go which did not include orange juice and coffee. It was one or the other. This was not mentioned when booked online. They did not even have a chair to sit in in the room. When we called to inquire, they stated that they do not come with chairs. Again, this is unacceptable when you pay out almost $500 a night for a hotel. I would never stay at this place again and I urge any of you who are reading these reviews to please take them seriously and do not book here. You will be disappointed. This place is a complete joke. If I were you I will go to the Holiday Inn you will have better service for half the price. I am a very dissatisfied guest and wish I could have given them a zero.

The best thing I could say is the hotel has a good location. I had a room on the 18th floor and the ac did not work well. We asked them to fix it with little improvement. We slept with the window open to cool down. The toilet in our room back flowed. On the first day, we were checked in and told the elevator to the 18th floor was not working so we were taken to the service elevator. By the end of the day, we were told the elevator had been fixed. The next morning we (my family including a 7 year old child) got in the elevator to go out for the day. Around the 5th floor we felt a jerk and the elevator stopped. The elevator automated voice said the elevator had been put on service mode. We pressed the call button multiple times and weā€™re not answered. After multiple attempts, an employee answered and told us ā€œwe already call the elevator company. We have received 15 calls. We know you are there.ā€ They were aware we had been calling but had not decided it important enough to answer with an update or assurance they were doing something to get us out. We waited over 20 minutes to get out. When we got out, another of my party went to speak to the manager about the employeeā€™s behavior. They waited half an hour but did not have the chance to speak to the manager. They were told the manager ā€œis too busy.ā€ They left their number for the manager to call after the manger has finished their duties. We never received a call.
