The best steakhouse burger I’ve had so far. Pricey but worth it for once a year. Top quality ingredients that blends in together perfectly. The beef was cooked to perfection. The bacon was smoked at the right temperature. The buns were as soft as a mothers kiss. This burger is definitely not your typical burger. You must try it at least once. The fries did its job as a partner. Customer service was on point. Ambiance, thumbs up. Street parking only. Expect a high bill. If you come here once every blue moon, the prices will not seem outrageous.

Definitely, it’s was my first and last time. I would never ever stop at such a disgusting place once again. I had the NY Strip Steak … seriously it was disgusting. You can’t call this a steak, what a joke! The service was less than average and surprisingly he was expecting +25% tips, what a joke! I paid + $115 at such a disgusting dinner. ✅ Disgusting foods & drinks ✅ Horrible desserts ✅ Overpriced ❌ Not recommended at all. Don’t waste your time.

This is an absolutely amazing place to have diner. We bought the Holiday Feast to go on Christmas eve and it was incredible, sincerely the best decision that we took. The food was well-prepared and wrapped, everything ready to finish at home or serve at the moment. A few years ago we used to live pretty close to Harry's and always was a great option for special occasions. This time was and extraordinary surprise, I didn't imagine the great flavor of the dishes and fair portions. I really recommend it not only to enjoy in doors, also you can book the dinner for some important dates.

Harry's is an iconic, long-time steakhouse in Lower Manhattan's Financial District (FiDi) that's as classy as the food and service is excellent. If the beautiful wood walls could talk, oh the stories they would tell. I've sat at the bar for drinks and a bite to eat and in the dining room where the staff looks after your every need. Omar is exceptional in his suggestions and professional service. He has a way of making you feel special every time and I've been there many, many times. The steaks are reliably delicious as is the seafood dishes, especially the cracked snow crab, when they have it - amazing! I live in the area, and this is one of my favorite restaurants, world-wide.

My husband and I went to Harry's to celebrate our wedding (we got married two days prior) and we were really excited. The service was excellent, but I found the servers to be lacking personability. The food was only good. Drinks were strong, onion soup was meh, crab cake was good, filet mignon was cooked perfectly, and the polenta fries were excellent. We were very excited for the beef wellington and while the beef was perfect, the pastry was not crusty and wasn't good, and nor was the filling. Also I had made a note during my reservation that we were celebrating our wedding and no one mentioned it or even asked. It would have been nice to have the restaurant go a little out of the way to help us celebrate our day. We have been to far cheaper and far better restaurants that have done way more to make their customers feel amazing and recognized. If you're looking for a good steak, this is your place, but if you're looking for a place to remember and celebrate an occasion, this isn't it. And that's sad considering the price tag of everything here.

First off, the food is seriously good. It’s expensive, but everything was worth it. I especially enjoyed the swordfish steak. Secondly, the staff was incredibly kind. Antoine was very helpful, and recommend the best glass of Chardonnay I’ve ever had in my life, and I’m an avid Chardonnay drinker. If you’re looking for a swanky place on the lower east side, this is it!

I came to Harry’s on Friday during lunch and we went all out. My partner and I ordered the seafood tower with a whole gang load of sides. We also got the chocolate pudding for desert. The service was great. They usually only serve the seafood tower for dinner, but they agreed to throw it together for us in the middle of the day. We felt very taken care of.

Just a super awesome weekend brunch option. Yes, the dishes might be slightly on the pricier side and maybe they could be a tad larger but against everything else it’s still worth it. It’s classy in an old school Fidi kind of way. Service was wonderful, and the eggs Benedict, which is what I had was top notch. Nice thick slabs of Canadian bacon! Have I had thicker? I’m not sure. But what really puts it over the top is the free flow champagne which the waitress topped up regularly. Get that with a carafe of fresh squeezed orange juice if you like. I did! 11.19.23 Update: I was back this past weekend and I have to say that apart from the great food, the service here is really top notch! There was a small issue with one of the dishes and our server handled it in such a professional manner, quickly remedying it that it barely registered. That’s the kind of service you want!

Sunday brunch comes with unlimited sparkling (90 mins limit) with any purchase of entrees. The portions are large and generally the entrees were all good. We generally enjoyed the crab cake and the baked clams a lot, and the branzino salad was delicious as well. The fish was extremely well cooked.

Classic steakhouse with other options. They have some classic dry age grilled steaks but they do offer other things. I've had a few things here and everything has been above average. This evening I got the beef wellington, only served on Wednesday and in limited quantity, it was spectacular. Everything about it was good, the quality of beef, the crust, the sauce, even the carrots as the side were really tender. They also have a good size bar area that serves anything you can think of.

Had to try the Beef Wellington and it fell short on my taste buds and I’m not sure if it was worth the price. Soups are good but fish plates served with a huge piece of butter to save the taste is not the best choice.

Just what you would expect for a steakhouse in the Financial District. Very nice inside although when we visited, it was a lot of groups of business people, again what you would expect. Food was very good, although the desserts….not so much. The steak and steak burger were perfectly cooked and delicious. Service wasn’t the best. Wine and alcoholic beverages came quickly however, soft drinks took multiple requests.

Great place for drinks and for steaks! I highly recommend trying the tiramisu alcohol shot for dessert instead of going off whatever they have on the menu. I was in town for business, but many locals also visit here too, its a great mix and a great social atmosphere!

speaking as a foodie new-yorker, who lives in the area: the place is a combination of reasonably priced super-tasty menu (possibly the best steak tartare in NYC, wonderful lamb and steaks, lobster fried rice, insane desserts), great bar (Harry’s martini, and the Irish coffee) and phenomenal space - this is a rare mid 19th century building in a perfect condition - look at the pictures. Last but not least: the service was wonderful as well

A beautiful location in a very nice area. When you come here youre coming to eat good food, youre not coming to find some cheap little meal. In that context, Harrys is a solid destination for a meal with a colleague, a date, or a drink after work. The crowd - when ive gone - is a bit more of a professional vibe. I dont imagine this is a stop on a bar crawl. As for food, i heard the burger here was something of a standout, and so i ordered that. It was solid. Nothing id travel far for or rave about, but nothing to complain about. Service was notably attentive.

No matter the weekend, we are ALWAYS up for Harry’s bottomless brunch! I’d say it’s one of the best kept secrets in the area. Be careful walking up the steps post brunch because the servers will keep the champagne flowing with the purchase of an entree. I never miss an opportunity to grab their breakfast sandwich and my fiancé LOVES the steak and eggs here. We 10/10 recommend Harry’s for brunch every weekend!!

Overall, 4 / 5. The dry aged NY Strip had a very good dry aged taste and was cooked absolutely perfect (5/5). We had the lobster cocktail appetizer, but it was rubbery and significantly overcooked (2/5). Whole Branzino was good, but just overall a bit ordinary (3/5). Broccolini side was cooked good, but I expected a bit larger side portion (4/5). Portofino Royal vodka cocktail was strong and tasty (5/5). The Botanist gin cocktail was tasty but not strong and therefore didn't have a nice gin/floral taste (4/5).

Excellent service, great food, nice ambiance. We've been living in FIDI for 12+ years and just decided to try this venue. We were not disappointed.

Service was excellent. Everyone I interacted with was kind and professional. I shared a tomahawk with a friend (140 / 2 people). It came pre sliced so it was easy to share. I thought the tomahawk tasted decent, with the meat being quite flavorful, but being less tender than I had hoped for. Their lobster fried rice also tasted pretty good. I probably would have given this quality of food 4 stars at many other places. With this price and reputation, however, I came to be blown away—and that unfortunately did not happen. Side note: some of my friends tried their cocktails and the general impression was they “tasted too strongly of alcohol.” Take from that what you will.

I’m a Harry’s regular and it never disappoints. Usually go for the lobster cocktail but they didn’t have it this time. Lobster bisque is so good a nice portion. The steak was delicious!!

Beautiful atmosphere! It is a loud place, but personally it didn't bother us. For pop they have Coke products. They give you a glass of ice and a little glass bottle. For draft beer our table got Coors, Guinness and Duvel. Had a huge selection of alcohol, cocktails, wine, and draft beers. I didn't like their onion rings. They were to thick and they had 4-5 layers of onion in the ring. I had the bone in New York strip. It was delicious. I loved when it came out it was cut, and the staff serves you. They don't have A1 . They have their own sauce it was okay. The bathrooms were very clean. The whole restaurant was very clean. The staff was wonderful. They were in it. The second anyone needed another drink they were there to get it refilled. Their rolls were so good! Also the cheesecake and creme brulee were amazing! Definitely would be back. Oh they also made our Cesar salad table side. It was out of this world.

My 5 stars is really a 4.5. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect for our Friday late dinner. We did not have reservations but we’re able to be seated immediately. My husband ordered the Beef Wellington and I had the squid ink pasta. Both were delicious and just the right amount. We also enjoyed the polenta fries. Service was good, but just a touch cold. Not friendly, but not curt either. We would definitely go back if staying downtown again.

Probably the best meal I’ve had from a restaurant in a long time. Making a reservation was easy, my steak was cooked perfectly, and staff treated us wonderfully. Great ambience and an absolute must if you’re in the area.

Happy I found this spot. Walk down the steps into the door and the place is very cozy. The service was great. We were seated in this cute private type cube area, it made it a bit romantic for our date night. Our server presented a drink and it was so damn good...I had 3😁. The food was good, Decent portions. Would definitely try again.

More a 4.5 than a 4. Had a group of 20. Was able to taste the Wellington, Filet Mignon, and Rib Eye. Filet was best of the 3. Sides I was able to have the hash brown, Yukon puree (too thin, was almost like a soup, did not love it) Creamed Spinach. Of the 3 Hash brown is perfect and complements the food well. The Burrata and Caeser for 2 was also good. Waiter was very good, but the bar was missing some of the alcohol that was posted on the menu. Yes, I would return, as this place was packed and an institution in the financial district

Yes, love the atmosphere here. The drinks and food are spot on. This is the place to hang out if you’re in the financial district and visiting the city. Great place to hang out for us locals and visitors.

Very convenient location if downtown and nice clubby feel inside. Good for both business & non-business lunch or dinner. Overall service was good...not exceptional. Asked for sparkling water and it seemed to come from a random bottle, not one opened and placed on our table. Not happy about that. Atmosphere is solid...good for small or large tables. Festive around the holidays. Food is good, but again not great. If you are going here for an amazing steak, you won't be wowed. Other foods were also good but portions on the average to smaller side. I've been here many times but some people not used to the prices may be disappointed. Paying $$$$$ for a $$$$ meal.

Harry's has by far and away the best and most extensive wine list on NYC. The food is great and you never want to miss Wellington Wednesday

  • 5/5 Brooke M. 2 years ago on Google
just visit already! although there’s some history here, the place is not stodgy but rather refined and classy. our waiter had been there for awhile and was very hospitable. order their famous martini (they only pour you half and the other half sits in an ice bowl at your table to remain chilled 🧊), get the table side caeser, and try the Canadian bacon as an appetizer. my new favorite discovery!

  • 1/5 Christine V. 2 years ago on Google
Saturday evening myself and 6 guests made 7:30 PM reservations at Harry's with great anticipation. We were seated at a lovely round table and enjoyed cocktails while ordering dinner. From that point on the event was a complete disaster. It took over 90 minutes to get our dinner which was served ice cold. From the ribeye to the filet mignon and right down to the onion rings and creamed spinach. Everything was cold. Restaurants these days blame the pandemic for lack of employees. Harry's should take note from Delmonico - stay closed and only open when you are able to meet your published expectations and those of guests spending $1,000 plus for dinner. Recommendation - stay away for right now.

We did come here to support the local establishment, and the restaurant is beautiful I have to say. We had a good time, and the service wasn't bad. The steak! We ordered the tomahawk, which was supposed to be a tender piece. We had a hard time chewing it. We felt embarrassed to have it switched to an 8 oz medium filet mignon. It was dry and hard as well. Maybe we were just not lucky tonight. After seeing all the positive reviews, we definitely had bad luck tonight.

Delicious food and great atmosphere. Best prime rib ever! And we've tasted a few, no alcoholic drinks with dinner so clean and pure tastebuds.

What an outstanding dinner. The martini was probably the best I’ve ever had. Also the appetizers were great and the Wellington was perfect. Desserts were great too. I appreciate the quality of the food and the attentiveness and kindness of the staff.

Food was very good. Atmosphere is classic NYC steakhouse. Service was great. Drinks were tiny and way overpriced. The irony is, I would have spent much more on drinks if I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off. I know how much these bottles of liquor go for in the store. Bars get them for much cheaper. Yet, they feel the need to charge you more than the price of a bottle for a drink. I didn't even order any crazy mixed drinks.

I stumbled on to Harry's by accident. I'm so glad I did, one of my most memorable meals in NYC. The steak, apps and wine were delicious . Seriously... one of the best steaks I've ever had. What really stood out for me was the service. From being greeted at the door to the dinner service, everyone and everything was top notch. A big shout out to Magaly Ponce, she knows her stuff, she instinctively knew how I wanted my steak and it did not disappoint. The food and service was some of the best I've ever had. I don't live her, but may return just to have a steak at Harry's.

Loved the places definitely a steakhouse to try!!! Food is amazing and the service was even better!!! Thanks a lot Omar for this moment

After walking all day. Harry,s was a well deserved treat. Omar was AMAZING making the Ceasars Salad. It was prepared as a show, every ingredient was explained on how it added to the dish. The Steak melted in my mouth, onion soup pulled it all together. The Dinning experience and service definitely worth it. Thanks everyone!
