A very peaceful place, perfect for taking some rest, talking with friends or just enjoying the weather ! Even when the trees haven't bloomed yet, the view is still so pretty. There is also a spot for dogs and it always is cute to watch them play together!

A very nice place to meet a friend, read a book or just walk around. There are many seating decks around the place or you can just sit on the grass. There’s a dedicated area for the dogs to play safely and away from people. There are many cafes and restaurants if you want to grab a bite while you are sitting there.

Till Nov 2021, when you come to the Madison Square Garden, you will find this stark group of trees amidst the park’s lush greenery, like ruffled hair sticking out on a pristine haircut. It is a beautiful exhibit sure to draw your attention. Impacts you immediately. Well placed and well done to the artist and park. Thank you for reminding us about the thread that binds us all and why we have to protect it - nature.

Gorgeous park in the middle of the hustle and bustle! Lots of locals and tourists meandering around. Places to sit, bring your dog, and admire the surrounding buildings of Manhattan. Especially close and great views I’d the flatiron building.

Beautiful small park surrounded by the hustle & bustle of the city! Two dog parks are situated inside the park as well as lots of benches, & walking areas! There was an art sculpture set up as of Feb 2024 that was beautiful to check out!

Park with several subsections and activities when in season. Nice respite from the rat race underway in the surrounding jungle of asphalt and board rooms. Meticulous landscaping and not too many homeless people hogging benches by sleeping stretched out.

V chillll lots of grass to lay on, easy skate or bike through. Breakfast taco truck and a decently sized dog park! Very pretty pond in the middle. Was under construction when we went but there was still tons of room to roam

Great park to hang out, relax or eat at the restaurants that surround the park. The lush trees, and the pond with floating leaves makes this place a very relaxing atmosphere. Definitely recommend anyone who maybe wants to take a date, just sit and people watch or even do some drawing, but visit the park for sure, you won’t be disappointed.

Sometimes the light hits Madison Park like you are in a dream. Great views of Flat-Iron building, and Empire State. Shake Shack, alone, can be worth the trip

Such a lovely park! If you love dogs, They have the BEST dog parks divided by size. It's absolutely relaxing time to just watch the cutest dogs climbing on the hill and play with each other. The only down side is that big side is closed due to the construction right now.

I love this park. It's near my office and it's wonderful for an after lunch walk. There's always an interesting seasonal art installation. The dog park is fun to just sit and watch the dogs 🐕 running.

Nice park with a great view on the flatiron building (although it was covered due to construction works). The cherry blossoms in April look beautiful and give this small park a really nice touch.

One of my favorite parks in the city. It's just the right size – not too big, not too smallgreat for a chill escape or a leisurely stroll. Loads of benches make it a prime spot for people-watching, and there's even a cute doggy park for extra joy. Hungry? No worries, there's a Shake Shack with ample tables and chairs. Conveniently, the 23rd St subway station is right by the southwest entrance, across from the iconic Flatiron building, the M23 bus stops right around here as well. Perfect mix of greenery, bites, and transit access!

I used to work at a top floor of the building right next to the park. My window has direct views of the whole park. Seeing the 4 seasons of the park is something always amazes me. Summer is my favorite time in this park. Art installations, musics… also watched couple US open here. Fall is magical with the air that’s so crisp and sun so bright. Plants changing colors. We will come here daily while work. Cut through the park to work, having lunch, taking nap and the best is come see the dogs when I need the break from work. This park is small, but feels just the right size to host people’s need. Come here to sit and just experience life in nyc.

A quiet reprieve in an otherwise quite busy place in the city. Plenty of green space and trees to breathe in and ponder. Several benches to sit on and relax. And a nice pathway if you’d prefer spending your time strolling around in quiet wonder. Not very crowded on a weekday, late morning.

What a beautiful park and area to walk and take a brisk stroll. It’s right across the street from the Flatiron building. I became alive in all the rich culture , the beautiful cold weather , and history of new world Vs old world at Madison Square Park . It’s a nice place to people watch and just take in the city culture and have a moment with nature . I highly recommend coming here for a walk in the park . It’s a dog park also and a nice book store close by .

Went for a stroll at night and was just sitting by a bench. It's very relaxing at night! When the gates were closing, the security guard notified me where to get out when I wanted to. There are also very romantic lights and a fountain which is perfect for a date! ♥️

Cool little park in the middle of the city. Lots of people walking their dogs and hanging out. Neat that there is a shake shack with seating areas. There was a worker picking up trash to keep it looking nice.

Stunning park. One of our favourite spots in NYC. Truly an urban oasis - you feel away from the bustle of the city, even when the park is busy. Feels strange to look up at the Empire State Building from here. In a perfect location next to Flatiron and by Fifth Av/Broadway. Seeing all the dogs in the dog run felt magical - we tried to go every morning during our trip. Plenty of seating and bins, and there's a fountain, a few statues and a grove area that felt like a woodland too. Clearly a lot of effort goes into maintaining this park. Visit even if you're not staying nearby!

Short: Park and the flat iron building - nice place to catch a breath while running around the city Long: Was not one of the biggest highlights on my list but still a nice intermezzo to catch a breath. Some nice restaurants, the well known Madison park (partially closed while we were there unfortunately) and the famous flat iron building. It's not so easy to photograph as you stand quite close to it and therefore easily get those falling lines (building seems to tumble over), I'd rather step back and do a panorama as in my attached image.

Pet parents beware! We’ve been coming to this park for years and never had an issue. Apparently pets aren’t allowed on the lawn anymore. But their less than kind staff will rudely tell you otherwise. We were approached by a park personnel telling us to leave. We apologized and said we didn’t know, but they just stood over us and condescendingly told us “didn’t you see the signs? Well they’re at every park entrance.” (Image of the sign attached. We missed it while entering, but seems many others did too. Printed very small and several feet away from the actual entrance, rather than right next to it.) He then proceeded to watch us and a couple of minutes later, just as my friend stands up to leave, he marches back over and aggressively scolds at us “guess you decided to stay, huh? So you’re staying, huh?”, in a combative manor as if he was trying to incite a scene. Another friend responds that we were just leaving and he proceeds to engage with backtalk saying that he doesn’t appreciate our attitude. Ultimately, I respect park rules and someone doing their job but it’s no excuse to accost park goers. My one friend was so scared by his behavior and demeanor she threw everything in her bag including her drink which spilled.

We stumbled upon this square by pure coincidence, wanting to visit the flatiron building. The sun was just about to set and the lights in the park just started to turn on. There were lots of tables and seats available, a small shake shack and even live music. Then a small dog park offers some more entertainment, watching different kinds of dogs roam around and play. Was a very nice and romantic place, would recommend an evening here.

This place has a nice dog park for small and big breeds. The peaceful atmosphere lends itself well to the view you will have of the various sky scrapers and store fronts. While joggable you can also sit on the countless benches and just read a book or people watch without feeling too overwhelmed with the environment.

I walked one of doggies I frequently walk at the dog park at Madison Square. I do enjoy this area for the dogs but unlike it was a boutc2 years ago when it opened, it has an odor now. Still fun for the furry friends though. Madison Sq Park has different exhibits put up throughout the year from unknown artists. I think that is awesome. They are putting a new one up now.

It’s a lovely green space in amidst New York City, lots of trees and shrubs, it has a nice playground for the little ones, there is an area for the dogs to roam without causing offence or harm to anyone. It’s a place where you relax and watch the world go by and watch gods creatures such as squirrels

I worked nearby for a decade. A regular walking spot when I needed to clear my head during a break. Also a favorite lunch spot w/colleagues. Often there are public art installations on display as was the case today, where I got to see Maya Lin’s Ghost Forest.

Had lunch at a Lebanese restaurant. Good food . Enjoyment assured Later on had extensive walk around Madison Square Park. From 5 Avenue end toFlatiron building then Park avenue returning to East 28 st. An aura of great feeling. Worth the outing.

I love coming to Madison Square Park, they always have some cool art installations. This park is great for it's location. It's near the Flat Iron Building and is a short walk from the Empire State Building. I always enjoy sitting near the dog run and watch all the different types of dogs that get to enjoy the park too. There are many Squirrels in the park and I spotted a couple of reddish/brown grey squirrels. I have never seen them in this color!! They were all very inquisitive and looking for handouts. I would be careful hand feeding them as they are wild animals but every person I saw feeding them nuts enjoyed it and the squirrels were gentle in taking the nuts from their hands, but still... be careful! At the southern end of the park is a Shake Shack. Yes, there's a Shack Shack right in the park. I haven't eaten at this Shake Shack yet as it is always busy and I don't feel like waiting :) I am assuming their food is really good because people keep coming back. West of the park is the Flat Iron building, one of New York City's most iconic buildings. Enjoy the views. It is quite stunning. Overall Madison Square Park is a small New York City park but it has a lot of charm and it's clean. I always stop by when I am in the area.

Beautiful little park next to the Flatiron Building with walking paths, grassy areas, and lots of foliage. Beautiful flowers. Canopy trees keep the area shady and cool and provide a habitat for birds. At least two nice fountains, a few monuments, and plenty of benches. Great view of the Flatiron Building. This park is also near the Harry Potter store and the interactive Museum of Mathematics. On Thursday at 2pm, the park was busy with locals and a few tourists relaxing and enjoying the weather. Saxophonist Chris Johansen (who plays often with drummer Fukushi Tainaka) was playing with a trio in the park the day we went. His bass player was fantastic! They were tight and it was very enjoyable. What's better than sitting in the park on a nice summer day listening to live jazz by fantastic musicians?

Love people watching and animal watching here. You’re bound to see birds, squirrels, and dogs. I have seen some rats here late at night, but thats to be expected with any NYC park. Nevertheless, this park has always lead to great memories.

Small well situated park in the middle of everything. Stopped in and sat at an open bench for a little while and enjoyed the scenery and people watch. Only thing that I didn’t like was the amount of home challenged individuals laying on the benches. NYPD needs to do a better job at moving them along to a not so visited area. Other then that, thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Plenty of shops and stores to visit around the park too.

Little tiny park within Manhattan will give you a nice, perfect view to relax and take rest if you are visiting the town for a day! Dogs park at the west/north corner definitely entertain you. Usually, there are some volunteer artists who want to express themselves by showing their talent, from painting to dance or even fine art... wide variety of birds also is a significant part of this park during spring!

Love this park! And currently there is the ghost forest exhibit which is very beautiful in a haunting way. Unfortunately the lawn areas were closed after sunset. But the ghost forest looks like a very peaceful place to sit.

Madison square park is a lovely place where spend an afternoon with family and friends. There are always very talented people playing Jazz music 🎶 In the square there are also table where people can sit and eat. The only disappointing point is that the park is a bit dirty, since many people eat there and leave the empty containers on the table. I think that something should control and make sure that such a beautiful place is kept nice and clean.

Historic park in the Flat Iron district. There's always lots going on with a busy dog park to entertain pooch and passers-by! Handy for 5th Avenue, Broadway, the Lego Store and Eataly.

One of my favorites urban parks! Very enjoy walking or having shake shack there. There are some sculptures and artwork. Natural scenes like flowers and squirrels everywhere! Empty pond in the winter. Currently (Mid March) some sections are under construction.

Offbeat fact: This former cemetery still has bodies buried below. Nice oasis at an intersect of concrete canyons. Plus it has a Shake Shack. There are benches along the 23rd Street sidewalk for people watching.

Nice place love nature and outdoors. Heard some singing and this lady is also on Instagram. I’m from the mountains so carriage rides and horses we did not do because very expensive but I understand it’s a tourist area. I would bring a picnic or your lunch and enjoy some areas or there’s actually restaurant in the park.

My favorite park! Love sitting under a tree, eating some food, reading a book, relaxing when I have downtime between my errands. There's a shake shack, but I always eat on a bench or on the big lawn with the art exhibitions. The animals are cute and nice flowers. Just so calming compared to other parks

beautiful park to visit, it has a lot of attractions. it is right in front of flatiron building. must visit in summers obviously such a huge vibe, lot of sun and activities to do. plus there are restrooms and dog parks around too. it is one of the attractions for tourists. there is easy access to trains and food around. it is close to 23rs street. there is a dog park too. this park is accessible, and also beautiful atall times.

A friend and I had dinner in the newly-renovated bar area on 20 January 2022. When I came through the revolving door, a very pleasant young woman greeted me and offered to take my jacket. She also asked me for proof of vaccination and photo ID. My guest (who had arrived minutes earlier) and I were promptly seated. This special occasion restaurant has a fixed tasting 100% vegan menu -- a larger one in the main dining room and a smaller one in the bar area -- and both come with optional wine/spirits tastings with each course. In the bar area, there were six courses plus dessert and six coordinated -- wine/spirits tastings. Importantly for a meal with so many courses, I am happy to say that my experience was well-timed and the cadence between courses was perfect. The server checked for food allergies upfront and the kitchen graciously made small changes to accommodate preferences. Of course, everything that was served was flawlessly presented, creative, and delicious. There seemed to be a different set of servers for each course and it was obvious that they each cared a lot about what they had brought to our table. The only criticism I had was that many wore masks that were flat against their face and this made it consistently difficult to hear them present and explain each course. If they had been wearing tented KN-95 masks instead, the sound would have travelled substantially better. At the end, we were each presented with a small signature bag containing a jar of house-made granola for breakfast the next morning -- which I am happy to report was delicious!
