All I came here for is the oysters and it didnt disappoint. It was fresh and the taste was spot on oyster. Enough for my seafood craving! The bartender was very friendly and quickly took care of us as soon as they opened. I am sure the rest of the dishes here are also good.

Loved this dive bar! Adam was a fantastic host and we had a few shots together. Mama's Fried Rice is AMAZING! I will definitely return when I visit NYC again. Getting in was hard because the door does not have a handle/knob. Find the top edge of the door to open it.

Alright, let’s get serious for a second. The shattered door with no handle is one thing, but I’m talking about the homestyle Malaysian kitchen that brews hours long Beef Rendang in the back of this unassuming dive. You’re never gonna miss when coming here, sometimes packed shoulder to shoulder, other times quiet only to be populated by a few tourists and the family that owns the spot. Jeff the owner is the nicest guy in town, always making sure everyone is taken care of 😏 10 out of 10.

Possibly the greatest dive bar in the entire city! It was packed for college football when I was there. The Jack and Coke and Jameson was flowing. The ambiance was fun, controlled chaos. And the owner, Jeff, was behind the bar making sure all were having a good time too. The "Drunken Fish Soup" looks great for hangovers and colds. Need to get me that again soon. Good times were had by all! Most definitely coming back again soon

Surprisingly good food and great service! The yummy noodles and crispy fried rice were delicious! Admittedly, some items are on the pricey side, and unfortunately they still have a limited menu.

My new favorite place in the city! Although you have to know how to open the open to this hole in the wall gem, you are in for an amazing surprise! The most delicious food, the most friendly service and music! I will definitely be back 👍

We loved our evening at Fish Market! An unassuming local bar that has delicious food and amazing service! Our server, John, was so friendly & pleasant! He gave us recommendations on the menu, Jameson shots on the house, and even gave me a little extra wine after I accidentally spilled some on the table (oops!). The atmosphere is so chill. No frills. But delicious food and friendly staff!

Owner/bartenders Adam and Jeff are funny, kind and gracious. You can call it a dive bar or hole-in-the-wall. Either way, it’s the kind of bar I love - - relaxed vibe, fun crowd and workers who actually want to MAKE YOU FEEL WELCOME to their bar.

This place was amazing! We felt like family the minute we walked in. They welcomed us and our kids for an epic dinner on Christmas Day. Mama’s chicken was the highlight but truly every dish was delicious and the staff was so thoughtful and attentive (Jameson shots are real). Both totally unique and familiar at the same time. Will come back whenever we are in town

a hidden gem, the place looks rough but has one of the best pork belly sandwiches I've ever had. Service is also great, maybe a bit too friendly with the shots. But overall a super cool bar I'm happy to recommend (if you can physically get through the door :))

What a random but great find. It’s a divey sports bar but also a Malaysian restaurant. Staff were great - so friendly and handing out Jameson shots. We enjoyed the fried chicken (so crunchy) and the Sambal cod special

So not what I expected. Thought it was a restaurant but it's actually a dive bar. The laksa and fried rice were delish! The owner was originally from Kuala Lumpur so you know his Asian dishes are legit.

In my opinion: my experience with this place gets worse by the visit. I remember the food being delicious the very first time I went and I have been bringing my friends to the place but unfortunately have not been able to get a table since then. I was once told they had no more table seatings even though a group of 5+ customers were leaving their table. Some bartenders should pretend better that they enjoy working there lol. If you appear young, expect a negative demeanor.

A fantastic dive bar. Great crowd, well priced and has that old New York feel. Don’t go if you’re easily offended or not open minded. People from all walks of life frequent this bar and it is one of my favorites.

Gotta be able to open the door to get in first, but after that it's a great local crowd bar with good food and generous rounds of Jameson by the friendly bartenders!

I was surprised about this place, The Fish Market. I found this place online through Yelp. I initially thought that it was a restaurant, but when I showed up there with my friend, I realized that it was a bar. We went in anyway because I was really looking forward to trying the crispy fried rice with chicken. My friend was game to try anything on the menu. He had their burger with fries. The food was surprisingly very good! I thought my dish was very tasty. My friend liked his meal just fine. The atmosphere of the place was like most sports/dive bars; most patrons hanging/sitting at the bar, drinking, etc., loud music, but not enough to where you couldn't hear yourself talk, and big screen TVs showing sports and sports memorabilia on the walls finished off the spaces. Overall, my friend and I had a good time at The Fish Market. The service was good. We didn't wait long for the food, and the prices were rather affordable for the amount of food you received. I will go back there again in the future and try some of their other menu options.
