Went with a small group on a Friday evening. Old Fashioned was solid but a bit lacking. Ambiance was nice. But the bartender gets a one star; I've worked in hospitality for years and the way he engaged w us was laughable. Check my history, I rarely ever leave a bad review. He earned this one with how rude he was to a number of our well behaved party. Major Lol points for him his turning his nose up and with all seriousness refusing to make a standard bar drink because "We don't muddle in this bar. Yeah, that's very non negotiable. " among a few other cringe-worthy moments. Hope he's the exception not the rule, but he left a miserable taste for us.

My wife & I had our first date here Dec 11 2012. The bartender Asa made me look so good in front of her that all she could think was 😘😍. The food was excellent: oysters with caviar + Billecart-Salmon champagne. The chef Matt came out and dropped a delicious Tuna tartare with avocado on us and we were set. Classy, casual but upscale, great for a first date that can lead to a life of marital awesomeness and a beautiful child.👏

One of the absolutely faultless bars in New York. Extremely well curated wine list as well as impeccably made cocktails at a bar no bigger than a postage stamp. While the kitchen isn't big enough for real meals, they do turn out great bar snacks.

One of my go-to bars in the village. Amazing cocktails and great selection of wine! Lagavulin float cocktail is great and martinis are on point. celebrity sightings are common at this bar as well. Recommend!

Neighborhood gem. Very cozy and with a friendly bartender. The best part of this place is that there usually isn’t a huge line and it’s a nice place to have a quiet conversation. The cocktail list rotates every so often and they’re usually pretty good!

I was conflicted about writing this review because I don't want people to know about it. But I realize that's not fair. With an extensive drink menu, friendly and knowledgeable staff, the Downing Street Bar quickly became my go-to after dinner wine spot.

Amazing cozy restaurant with great food. You must have calamari , rib eye special , lobster and bone marrow . Restaurant gets busy make sure you have a reservation in advance . Interior of the restaurant is also what I prefer (brick wall) and it’s not noisy. Blue ribbon also have a sushi place nearby and bar at Downing street

Loved this little bar. Great selection of wine by the glass/bottle, nice cocktails and great service. All within a cozy environment. Wonderful.

Tiny tiny place, 15 seats. Good cocktail and wine list. The food is small portions and is over priced. No ambiance on a Tuesday and bartender didn't have much personality. Not sure how this is rated 4.7.

Tiny but excellent. Great wine selection, top-notch cocktails and helpful/obliging bartenders. It can be hard to find a seat, and there’s not much room to stand, but the atmosphere is great if you can sit.

The restaurant is open until very late, which makes it perfect for a place to go after work to relax. Great bar for a chill drink, spend some me time or hang with friends. The oysters have been the best ones I have had by far in my entire life! So if you are an oyster person like me, you should totally get them. Loved the ambiance of the place and service was excellent. They also have quite big wine selection which is always nice.
