While this outpost of Eataly has the amazing food and market you may have experienced at other locations, it is smaller and has less options. That being said, it is still an amazing experience and worth going out of your way for and paying a bit of a premium for. First of all the view out of this location is just insane. It’s essentially a park/world trade center memorial view and it’s just beautiful. The interior is smaller than other locations but also seems to be a bit calmer and quieter which is a huge plus. We started off with the amazing cheese plate - deliciousness with every bite. I ordered the cacio y Pepe pasta which was made to absolute perfection. Service is incredibly good and they do a good job of matching your dining pace. I can’t wait to return next time I’m in NYC!

Went to Eataly for lunch on a weekday and the place was buzzing with activity. As always, the food at Eataly meets the high bar that they set for themselves, and the experience enriches one's understanding about Italian food/culture. Everything was great, and the serving staff was extremely hospitable, checking in regularly despite the busyness of the restaurant. Really enjoyed the food, even though the Branzino was a bit hard to navigate with all the bones. Nonetheless, the server was patient and guided me on the best way to work through it. It was great and I would highly recommend it!

A beautiful culinary experience in the heart of downtown Manhattan! Fresh, flavorful authentic food is found here, with impeccable service. The views from your seat are absolutely gorgeous. And you cannot miss browsing the Italian grocery that’s so massive.

Famous Italian restaurant located as an annex to the Oculus. There are several options in the menu, but pasta and pizza seem to be the preferred ones. We've had a lasagna and a papardele - both were good enough. I was anticipating the place would be pricier - so that was a good surprise. In summary: a good Italian place with a very nice view of the surrounding area.

This review is for La Pizza e La Pasta restaurant located in Eataly. All the food was amazing especially the meat and cheese board - it really exceeded our expectations. The pizza was excellent too. The only complaint was that they brought out entrees before we were finished with the appetizers, so it was hard to fully enjoy that while trying to avoid eating other food cold. I would empathize to the waiter that you want to finish your appetizers first (which should be common sense anyway) before moving on to the entrees. So other than having to eat the pizza semi-cold, it was a great experience. Gorgeous views.

We were a bit disappointed because we couldn't get a table when we wanted. So we ended ordering a takeout pizza and diverse plates from the takeout counter and the ready made. We were surprisingly happy with everything we had. We found empty tables by the takeout counter where we had our dinner. The octopus and shrimp were delicious, the grilled Brussel sprouts very savory. The salads and pastas amazing. The service is excellent and everyone is very helpful. The restaurant was very crowded and there weren't tables available and we didn't want to wait for we were starving.

This particular location is smaller than the one in the Flatiron so if you are choosing between them, now you know. This Italian market is exceptionally well stocked and has distinct sections for all your culinary needs. I often swing though early to grab something for lunch and maybe bring something home to cook for dinner. The cheese / deli section and butcher are both wonderful and the staff super helpful and knowledgeable. The checkout experience is a little strange as it’s not obvious but they have self checkout so it’s quick.

Great food! The fest deal was definitely worth it. The wine was ok for the price. A little disappointed with the service - my friend had his pizza in 30-40 min, and our food was served in different times, not at the same time. Hopefully this won’t repeat. Recommended

One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. We came here on a weekend around 2 PM, there was a bit of wait since we did not have a reservation, the servers were not very friendly at the entrance. Half the place was empty but they took a long time to clean up tables. I had to constantly ask for status otherwise the servers were just chatting at the entrance. Once we got seated, our server was very nice and always looking out for us and our toddler. Food came very fast. The portions for pastas were quite small, so you do want one entrée per person Instead of sharing with multiple people. Tip: if you make a reservation upfront, you can actually request the tables by the window.

If you’re in New York City Downtown and looking for good Italian food, look no further than Eataly! I highly recommend going to this place at least once, super delicious and tasty food. The pricing was quite affordable for the location and the service was absolutely spectacular! When I return to NYC, I’ll defiantly be back.

My friend recommended this place to me and my husband. So, we decided to come here for a Sunday brunch, and it did not disappoint us. It’s a happy, casual, welcoming place. The pastas we ordered were very good, very satisfying after eating! It’s a large open space, so it’s good for families or groups of friends. It might feel a bit crowded if you want to have a nice date.

Restaurant is pretty nice,I wish they have a better menu Italian food options but food and service is good. Market section is very overpriced for the products. But overall I like the atmosphere and vibe here. If you never been here you definitely should come and see!

Quick service and a tad rushed, assuming to keep tables moving. No leisure lunches here. All friendly and professional. Seafood salad starter was pricey and was more like a carrot salad. Carrot ribbons too large and difficult to eat though presented well. Pizza was nice with a good crust. Views are amazing and grand even if you dont snag window seats. Nice elegant decor.

Wonderful place to eat FRESH (made day of) Italian foods. They have a rosé bar, a pasta bar (you can watch how they make it), espresso bar, pizza bar and a pastry and gelato bar. Everything you need to feel like you’re enjoying an authentic Italian meal. And if you feel like you want to bring some of that delicious Italian fare home, they have the freshest ingredients to cook with. Will definitely be back again. There are plenty of choices for the whole family to enjoy. 🤌🏻😋😉

We had a nice lunch! Pretty place with nice views. A bit harder to find as it's on the 3rd floor behind the marketplace. Our focaccia, calamari and pizza were great. The mushroom pasta was very very salty. It was cooked well and tasted ok but extremely salty. Overall a nice lunch - pricey for what it was but it's NYC downtown!!

Food was great. Customer service was amazing. Plenty of dining tables. Place can get packed around lunch/dinner time. Food is quite pricey. This is the perfect example of quality over quantity. Food delivery time can be improved. Took 30 minutes to get our dinner plates. Definitely worth the first time trip. Parking garage parking only. Mass transit is preferred.

such a good experience at Eataly. The place was rightfully crowded and we got there right at opening, but service was quick and accommodating. The food was very authentic Italian and extremely delicious, so much so that i’ve even tried to recreate the experience at home but to no avail. The Margherita pizza was unmatched.

Nice high-end goods, mostly from Italy, but also artisan selections from elsewhere. Their cheese selection is very nice. We were there early enough in the morning that many of the individuals mini shops were still setting up, which was pleasant because we could walk around without loads of shoppers. We stopped at the Lavazza coffee stand, where my husband ordered a black coffee and we split a Girella, a walnut and pecan caramel croissant. It was huge and FANTASTIC!

Like all Eataly’s this market hall is always an amazing experience! We know Italy has much to offer when it comes to food, however, the variety and quality on offer here is fantastic! I suggest you first sit down and eat at one of the many options and let the dishes inspire your shopping later in the market aisles.

Eataly NYC Downtown truly offers a standout experience for food lovers and casual shoppers alike. This location shines in its cleanliness, beauty, and spaciousness – a comfortable ambiance that welcomes you as you embark on your culinary journey. Their vast collection of fine foods is impressive and well-curated, offering a diverse selection that caters to every palate. It is apparent that a lot of thought goes into each product displayed, making for a top-tier shopping and dining experience. The venue's architectural design is truly mesmerizing, with beautiful top-to-floor windows that flood the space with natural light. This creates an inviting and uplifting atmosphere that greatly enhances your experience. One of the best parts? It's not as crowded as the Flatiron location. This gives you the freedom to browse and enjoy at your own pace, without the typical hustle and bustle. Eataly NYC Downtown has undeniably raised the bar for food marketplaces in the city. A visit to this gastronomic paradise is a must for any food enthusiast. Hats off to the team for creating such an outstanding destination!

Huge interior with plenty of seating, although service was a bit slow (might be understaffed). Menu is expensive but everything was delicious! Portions are well sized, we had trouble finishing everything. Highly recommend the steak, lobster linguine, fried calamari, charcuterie board, and all desserts! Tiramisu, cannolis, gelato were fantastic

Pasta, cheese and wine selection at the restaurant is great. Love the most recent collaboration with the Color Factory - livens up the atmosphere a ton. Eataly has all the ingredients you need when you need to cook up (or try to) a hearty Italian meal.

Part Italian fresh market, part restaurant. Great food, nice atmosphere, and some great views of the lower Manhattan and the 911 memorial. The Alfredo mixed in a hollowed cheese wheel at your table is must try. A worldwide chain, but this is only 1 in the northeast. You could easily dismiss it as a tourist trap, but you would be wrong.

I went 9/20/2023 ..The store part was a lovely experience they have everything! The restaurant part now…as long as Uriel isn’t my server I’ll be fine because the food was good. Gratuity already included and our server Uriel V. Did NOTTTTTT give good service at all. I had questions and he didn’t answer it fully so when I ordered I ended up wanting to change it QUICKLY & had to get up and find him . He seemed annoyed to change my order then got my changed order wrong because he barely wanted to do it as really had an attitude like I was bothering him. Over all he did not want to serve us and I was not happy about it but because my 2 friends were visiting from out of town I did not make it a “big deal” but in this climate I think it is a big deal the way he treated us . I was so turned off and disappointed in the treatment that man gave 3 women I just let my friends speak for me and do my portion. Never again Uriel.

Really amazing service, food was very fresh. Wait staff were really helpful and very attentive. We had a simple mix up with our order and they were so apologetic that it didn't annoy us as they fully made up for it, it was a very simple mistake and they made such a special experience for us to make up for it.

I love eating here. The food is excellent, service is attentive and friendly but it’s the views that are special. If you can snag a table by the window you will rewarded by a lovely view. Had a glass of wine, lasagna and sorbet. It was nice but the lasagna was a bit dry.

Whether or not you eat here, Eataly is definitely worth a visit. I stop by every time I PATH through, to get groceries and treat myself to their exquisite yet expensive gelato. This time was for a reunion - the other participants chose La Pizza & La Pasta for our occasion. Service was the most impressive feature. Food was OK - a bit too salty for my personal preference. The panzanella salad was quite disappointing (I make a better one at home). For what they charge, the portion is certainly on the small side. We had a window table overlooking the 9/11 memorial park, on a fine day after NYC was flooded by torrential downpour - the view was quite stunning ... maybe we were also paying for that lol! All in all a nice experience for the reunion but the food has far more room for improvement. NYC is a famous hub for superb Italian food, for an establishment of Eataly's caliber, there is no excuse for mediocrity.

I had never been to an Eataly and it's great! Loved the market with so many products from Italy and they all look authentic and fresh, bought myself some items as presents. The only thing why I don't give it 5 stars is because I'm the restaurant they were doing some kitchen work therefore they didn't have all the menu they usually have so we had limited options. The staff was ok, the hostess was not as friendly and required us to have all of our group there to be seated (which I guess is ok and reasonable but we were only missing 1 person). The waiters on the other hand were lovely and funny. The best thing about it all was the gelato the pistachio was good but the tiramisu was out if this world.

Had dinner here last night with a friend for the first time. The open floor design is very nice and if you're lucky enough to get a seat by the window the view is beautiful. The staff was friendly and kind. I had the butternut squash ravioli with sage butter. It was okay. The filling was sparse and the dough itself was undercooked. My friend enjoyed her lasagna and I def should have gone with that. It almost seemed like my dish waited under the heat lamp while the lasagna was being baked. Loved the store and the selection of imported goods. Very impressive stuff.

I visited there on a Friday night with one of my friends, and we were amazed with the service, very kind staff, hostess and host were very loving people, the guys helping cleaning tables and waitress, just super super kind, in our visit was difficult to find that in a restaurant but there ⭐️5. Pizza was delicious , the flavor of the ingredients were very fresh and good quality. Same with the dessert!

So much better than the one in Chicago! Loved the deco, view and the service was good (would have been perfect, but one of the waiter was very rude, but everyone else was amazing) the food was absolutely authentic and delicious. Would definitely come back to try other dishes!

I had a very nerve racking day and I wanted to eating something lovely nice. I had the ravioli with lemon butter sauce. It was absolutely delicious! The service was excellent. The atmosphere was great too, it’s definitely a family place to go and children are super welcomed. Overall I would go there for lunch, or brunch again. The grocery side had so many delicious premade dishes it was hard to focus and wanting to leave with a few extras.

Beautiful and spacious Italian Market and Restaurant within. The food is fresh and flavors are amazing. Its a bit annoying to find the right elevator inside the Oculus to get up to the 3rd floor, but if you persist it will be worth it!;)

Well now my love for Eataly Flatiron is fighting with my love for Eataly Downtown as I want to be at both! We had a delightful meal of margherita pizza, aroncini with tomato sauce, burrata with tomatoes, meatballs, and tagliatelle with bolognese. The food was flavorful and fresh, and the service was attentive and helpful.

  • 3/5 sergio 2 years ago on Google
I eat a pizza margherita, but they don't use very mozzarella cheese, but similar.. so it isn't very good. This is a shame, because the location is very spectacular. Here you can found a lot of food products, but some are very strange.

  • 4/5 Miranda B. 7 months ago on Google
Ate there a few times. Food is very nice, some things overpriced though. Service is good and fast however I felt rushed. Once you take your last bite of food (not even finish the drink) they pass the check.

  • 5/5 Thomas W. 2 years ago on Google
We saw that you need reservations outside, but when we asked the hostess was nice enough to get us a table without reservation. The food were great, the steak was not oily, not over buttered like other places, it felt refreshing. I am not sure if you can use that to describe eating a steak lol but it felt refreshing. The salad was fresh. The desserts were great the tiramisu was great!

Amazing place! Love their food especially their prosciutto pizza! Merissa was such a great server to me and I loved that! She deserves a raise lol check them out you won’t regret it!

I got lost in this place trying to figure out where I want to go and what I wanted to eat. We decided to grab a something from a couple different sections and split everything. The pasta was so good and the pizza was great. I love a good cannoli, and the pistachio cannoli, oh it did not disappoint. I really should have gotten more of those.

  • 3/5 Patrick 1 year ago on Google
Didn’t mind the wait for the table The staff was friendly but too busy to be tentative unfortunately. The forgot one of our pizzas and had to be reminded of it. I had to wave down the waiter to both order and pay. It’s NYC so of course the prices were high. Pizzas were ok - had better, much better

Summer cocktails for $10! Delicious food. Super nice staff. Nice view and comfortable seating. Like something? You can buy the ingredients in the same store to make it! Orrr just go back to the restaurant and reorder

Went there for lunch. The service was wonderful. They serve bread and some olive oil before. The dishes were very good. Ravioli were absolute paradise. the tomato sauce was flavored perfectly. The softness and balance of ricotta and spinach- perfect. Gnocchi were delicious, but too much cheese and a portion was a bit exaggerated for this dish. The coffee was - omg- terrible.

  • 5/5 allminenyc 7 months ago on Google
Business lunch - my team loved it. Spacious and open layout with a lovely view of the Hudson River. Everything we ordered was wow. Staff is friendly although a bit unavailable during the lunch rush. The female manager was courteous and professional. That is unusual.

The best meal we had while in New York. With the first bite, i turned to my husband and said: i missed Italy. And the rest of the meal was like I've travelled back to an Italian trattoria in Florence. Loved loved loved it!!!! 🙂🙃🤩
