The empanadas were delicious. The shrimp/seafood one was amazing, the beans and mushrooms one was also very very good, and the cheese one was good too. They also came with a creamy avocado sauce that was delicious. Will definitely come back here!

First time here and u want to come back and try the other dishes. I had the House Mama Nachos with chicken and plantains and they were soooo good and filling. That is a meal 2 people can share. The place was getting busy so I can tell the food is worth it.

I and my girlfriend love empanada and had to try this restaurant at our new neighborhood. We came on Friday night at 8pm and it gets very busy after 9pm. Unfortunately the corn and baked empanada are not that tasty and a bit oily. We love the El Toro and Reggaeton wheat empanada (they are still oily but the seasoning are delicious). The restaurant also serves good varieties of cocktails and frozen drinks

Empanada Mama is one of our go-to spots in Midtown and it never disappoints. Whether it is for in-restaurant dining or takeout, the empanadas are remarkably consistent and always delicious. Our favorites are the Bombay and the Shredded Chicken, and the Veggie is also very good. We also tried the Viagra, which is tasty. The Spicy Chicken is only good for those with a high tolerance for spice. The drinks are also very good. We tried the watermelon lemonade and virgin mojito and both were awesome. Empanada mama is open 24 hours, and the vibe and music here is fantastic. The service has always been efficient and hospitable. Highly highly recommend!

We specifically looked for Empanada places during our stay in Manhattan, and this place caught our eye. The menu looked pretty interesting too. Tried both meat and vegetarian empanadas. Spinach cheese baked empanada is my fav along with Spanish rice and beans. Tried plant based empanada. They were quite delicious. The baked empanadas are soo much better than the fried ones. The place had a great vibe and the people serving were friendly too.

Honestly. These. Are. The. Best! Spinach and cheese every day! Open 24/7 great service, quick service I loved every one. Mac and cheese has ham in it just an FYI. Otherwise these are the best I’ve ever had. Great vibe with music and drinks. This is your 2am snack!

Some of the best empanadas you'll have - both meat and veggie. We had the Greek spinach (5/5), cheese (3/5), cheeseburger (5/5) and pork sausage (4/5).... Honestly a lot of selection and great flavour... Dont like how they've jacked up the prices and also charge a 20% surcharge after midnight - shouldnt u encourage more ppl to stop in late night?!?!?

Great drinks and delicious food! We had empanadas (Spinach and Cheese, Portobello, Pizza and Eggplant Parmesana), side of rice and beans. Husband had the Qcumberry a refreshing cocktail and I had the mixed fruit juice (passion fruit, mango and cranberry) which was perfect. We just felt our seating could’ve been better (having requested for something away from the restroom at least thrice) but generally enjoyed the vibe of this spot and will be back for the food (and hopefully a better seat 😅)

Yummy yummy yummy! Amazing restaurant. I tried 4 different ones. The Brasil and Cuban are tied for the best. Honestly I couldn't choose. If you like seafood you will love the Viagra. For dessert the Nutella and banana hit just right. Also several vegan and veggie options which is nice. For a drink I had something tasty with Gin. This place has a great interior decor and also bar and outside seating avaliable.

A great 24/7 place that serves great food in an uplifting atmosphere. Our waiter Angelo was super kind and cute, he managed to hit our spots just right with his recommendations. We ended up eating far more than we should have, but at least the food was worth it. An easy recommendation!

I love empanadas from Empanada Mama. I was around this location decide to try it. The empanadas were delicious, but I also ordered one of their meal. Which was 28.00 just for the meal. Got home, opened up the meal, saw that it was not even enough for one person.check the pic.

Will be back! Popped in for a quick mid morning conference snack - yum! Tried a corn empanada filled with traditional beef; quick food (great for taking on a walk!) flavorful, crispy and not too hot. Loved the colorful and fun vibe of the place.

We came in after 12 am and it was packed! It seems to be a very popular place. The empanadas are very filling and two is sufficient with a side for a meal. The burgers are great as well. The side of plantain chips and guacamole is amazing. The prices are affordable and the staff are great! Would fully recommend for late night meal and celebrations.

Delicious fresh empanadas (my favorite was Bombay flavor), also pleasantly surprised by the banana chips with guacamole, a light and refreshing appetizer. Service was good and fast. Will definitely come back in the future.

The best empanadas, so much meat!!!! Cooked to perfection!!! They are served with this green sauce that is amazing, definitely worth the trip!!!! There are more than one location and this on is open very late, every time I am in Hell’s Kitchen I make it a point to order I love the wheat pernil.

Enjoyed all the savory food options. Friendly attentive staff. Satisfying and flavorful. Loved that the majority of the food was gluten-free.

Great place all around! The food is amazing and so reasonably priced, especially if you go during their happy hour for drinks. Between me and my sister, we got 2 pina coladas, and 4 empanadas and maybe spent $40ish? Not bad considering the size of the empanadas and how delicious they were! The cozy, fun atmosphere added to the whole experience. 10/10 recommend and will definitely be back!

The food was very tasty and definitely no skimping on the fillings as they were filled to max capacity. The atmosphere was pretty nice as well, lively (albeit quite loud) music and great decor. The service however was atrocious. In 45 minutes the waiter came to our table twice, essentially ignoring us to talk to his coworkers. Other waiters seemed much more attentive, so perhaps was just an unlucky experience

Amazing food and drinks. Reasonably priced. Wait staff are all polite and helpful. Had the carne sudada and it was a 10/10. Their empanadas are amazing too. Been there a bunch of times and the service and food are always great.

I ordered take from this location! I got the corn empanadas because I am gluten free, and they were delicious! I tried the chicken, ground beef and mushroom! I am heavily lactose intolerant, so I was really happy none of them had cheese mixed in! They were all very good, but the ground beef was my favorite. The guacamole with plantains chips was super fresh and perfectly seasoned. I really enjoyed my lunch!

We went here for a snack after 11:00 p.m. from the theater and it was quite busy. There was a long line at the front for take-out orders, but we wanted to eat in. It was not obvious that we could go around that line to be seated. I ordered a baked ground beef empanada and a Nutella Banana. Ground beef was ok, maybe I should have tried something different. Loved the Nutella and banana. Busy place, but I loved the vibe.

Good food especially for the price. We came here during their brunch hours and got their oxtail soup and a few breakfast items. No complaints about food or service as the server was kind and patient with us. We tried their seafood empanada and it was reminiscent of a crab Rangoon. The cilantro sauce on the side saved it and made it much better. Overall this is a good place for casual dining.

The place is great, the food is great but the staff takes too long to wait on folks, there is one guy name Jorge who serves as both a waiter and bartender and has a serious snippy attitude issue. We sat and waited for 17 minutes before happy hour was over. By the time he got to us he said “well happy hour is just about over” yet we sat there for a good long while waiting. And not to bring race into this but Jorge who is Hispanic, serves white people quicker than he does African Americans and other Hispanics. Look out for him. Will contact corporate office about him.
