Cute place, crowded but the staff was very efficient. The ramen noodles are very good. Great texture and fresh. But the broth was a bit too salty for me (but salty is the authentic way so I really can’t blame it on the chef). We also saw chef Iran. He was super friendly and chatting with everyone. All the appetizers seem to be really good! We got the eggplant, the green beans and the fried chicken. All of them are amazing!!!!

Super packed on an early Sunday evening. Service was friendly and food came out in reasonable time considering the restaurant was packed. The vegan shoyu ramen was incredibly delicious. It was not overly salted (which can be a problem for shoyu broths). The cold tofu in the ramen had it’s own slight sweetness to it (from whatever they marinated it with) and the broth itself was super flavorful. The noodles were cooked medium and were thin (thinner than like instant ramen). The curry noodles tasted as you expect Japanese curry to taste like. Good execution on traditional Japanese curry. Not a fan of the barley iced tea (literally tasted like barley and weak iced tea). Great ramen!

The ramen at this place is truly exceptional! My boyfriend and I are avid ramen enthusiasts, and the chilly winter days in NYC often call for a comforting bowl. Our top recommendation is the Chicken Paitan – don't be alarmed by the raw egg on top; it adds a delicious touch without an overly eggy flavor. For an extra kick, try adding roasted tomatoes; it's a worthwhile investment that elevates the ramen's taste. Having visited a couple of times, we consistently opt for the same dishes. We also suggest starting with the Japanese fried chicken, the Wagyu pastrami buns (great twist if you're not big on pork) and pairing it with the refreshing lemonade. Surprisingly, we managed to secure a table without a reservation and experienced prompt service. While we happily give it 5 stars for the food and service, we'd rate the atmosphere 4 stars due to its slightly crowded feel – still a fantastic spot to enjoy with friends. Just reminiscing about it makes me crave another visit! Perhaps this time, we'll explore a different ramen option.

Even better than expected. We didn't make a reservation but the line moved pretty quickly. The waiter was super nice and our order arrived fast. The place has some inside and outside tables, with just enough place to serve, it was clean and the decor suits the place well. The food was AMAZING, impossible to describe, you have to try. I'm not just coming back but also will be referring this place to my friends.

Their fried chicken is a must. One of the best I ever had. It’s sweet and savory and just all around perfect. The ramen was delicious as well. I had the Tokyo shio. Pork buns were excellent too just had to take off the picketed veggies as I’m not a fan of that. Great service and a nice place too.

Amazing food, atmosphere and service. Diana served us and it was amazing, super friendly and really knows the menu. Explained us with a lot of details about every single dish, and made sure we had a perfect experience. My girlfriend and I ate here two days in a row, and would definitely recommend here. It is as good as the Netflix episode says. Great food.

Made a reservation for two at 1:30pm on a Sunday and it was packed. Service was friendly and quick. I got the Shoyu Ramen and we had the Picked Cucumbers to share. While it doesn't look like a lot, the bowl ended up being super filling and tasty. I'm glad I tried out Ivan Ramen while visiting the city, but I don't think I'd go out of my way to come back.

Do not make the mistake of NOT EATING HERE!! Come for the ramen, stay for the appetizers. Cauliflower app is a must order, extremely inventive and delicious. We sat on the patio which was so cozy and dog-friendly. Service was very helpful, great recommendations, and quick. I’d eat there so often if I lived in New York!

Wanted to try this spot for a while. Pork buns and fried eggplant were both good starters. The ramens we tried were all very delicious with rich broth. Portion sizes are a bit on the small side, but good for lunch. There is also a good selection of unique saki and beer. Staff was very friendly and food came out quick. Overall a great experience.

The rave about this place is real. The eggplant appetizer with tahini is absolutely delicious. The traditional tonkotsu is really one of the best ramen a and particularly broth that I have ever had. However, I ordered the spicy ramen cuz that's just usually my favorite flavors, and I have to say I was quite disappointed. The broth lacked any flavor besides pure spicyness. I could not taste the pork or the creaminess, only hot. In terms of spicyness, it's pretty hot but still tolerable if you have a decent tolerance for spice; about a 7/10. Conclusion: I do not recommend the spicy, instead get the traditional and add some chili oil yourself, that's what I plan on doing next time.

Had a great time here tonight. The vibe is so chill. Our server, Ashley, had great recommendations for drinks and apps. She was so friendly and funny. Eggplant appetizer was absolutely bomb. They also filled our water like there was no tomorrow which was excellent.

No words! This place was crazy delicious 😋! One of us had the gluten-free noodles and they were HEAVENLY! The salad, ramen, and dessert was all amazing. Staff and atmosphere were also very enjoyable.

I was here in 2019 for the first time then again this month. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen- this is the first time trying this choice. I’ve previously tried the Tsukemen, Shio and Chicken ramen. I’m not as impressed the second time as I was the first. The Tonkotsu ramen had a particular “charcoal” like taste in it that was overwhelming , and it took away from the taste of all other ingredients. It was a bit disappointing. However, in my previous experience with the three other choices I was very impressed and the Shio Ramen and Chicken ramen are very delicious. Very different in each - one is a heavier broth and the other is more delicate. This is a great ramen shop overall but I would stick to the best sellers here.

I went to Ivan Ramen for lunch on a weekend afternoon and it wasn't too busy so I was able to get a seat at the counter. I had the spicy kyuri pickles and vegan shoyu. The kyuri pickles were proper spicy so naturally I loved them. They left a tingle in my mouth and were the perfect accompaniment to the vegan shoyu. The ramen was flavourful and filling. Would definitely go back to try more items, especially the dessert.

I went for the chicken ramen as a first timer. I liked the crispy chicken skin, the broth was creamy & flavorful. Would love to try the triple garlic. The bao buns where 7/10. I would come back. Service was great.

We came here a couple of weeks ago, we saw this place in the Netflix show. Really great quality and service. The staff was very friendly and helpful with really good recommendations. The noodles were amazing and quite unique in texture compared to most ramen noodles. The appetizers were also delicious. They also have a great outdoor section in the back of the restaurant.

We had a great experience. The staff is super nice and the food was incredible. The wines and sake were pretty good too and the ramen of course, beyond any expectations. I really liked the atmosphere and the music. Sitting at the bar was fun and you can see the kitchen. I would come back for sure.

Delicious!! I was nervous about the broth, came separately packaged, didn’t think it was going to be enough but it was plenty. The chicken paitan ramen was so flavorful I added yu choy. Brussels sprouts are my favorite veggie and I get them at every restaurant and so glad I did. The right amount of spicy and savoriness also a big portion. Last the Wagyu pastrami buns literally melt in your mouth. Next time I’m back in NY , I will order again.

For appetizers we ordered the pickled cucumbers which tasted good, nothing new or special. We also got the bao buns, probably have to be my favorite bao buns out of the other restaurants I’ve tried, however there was too much pickles on top which made it a bit sour. I order the Tsukemen and I’m not sure if I like it; the broth was nice and it did have a umami flavor. The noodles were al dente but the thing that threw me off was the pickled mustard because that’s a Chinese pickled vegetable. The pork tonkotsu ramen also tasted fine, I’ve had better; again it also had pickled mustard which threw me off. Coming here I could tell that this ramen place was catered to westerner palates.

One of the best ramen I ever had. Great vibe, hopeful crew, I can only recommend to visit!

I’ve leart about Ivan Ramen from Alex (French Guy Cooking) in his ramen series and I’ve been wanting to visit ever since. I live in London I knew I wanted to come here the first time I got the chance. This was actually my first meal in New York of this visit (that’s how excited I was) and it certainly did not disappoint. Everything was great: the atmosphere is cosy, the service was on point (for example, our water glasses got refilled every few minutes) and the food was, of course, excellent. I got the shio ramen and the yuzu cheesecake, and bith were to die for. I just wish I was in New York for longer because I’d love to try out everything on the menu.

Super friendly service and they are very happy to explain any questions about the menu. The flavor of the starters and ramen really stands out strong but balanced and well crafted. Highly recommend the wagyu pastrami buns and the chicken paitan ramen!

The food was more a 3.5 for me (loved the heirloom carrots, was not entirely satisfied with the vegan ramen), but I know the friend I dined with (non-vegetarian) loved his ramen (said the glazed chashu was the best he’d tasted) and the yuzu cheesecake. I’ve read Ivan’s book and am a lover of most things Japanese, so I’d still visit again, but maybe skip or tweak the vegan ramen I had (I’d retain the delicious koji tofu and maybe dial down the umami a bit). (Aside: Their digital menu is fantastic, in terms of design and appeal! It’s peppered with video stories elaborating on the dishes and sometimes highlighting what goes on behind the scenes to finally present us with the dishes we eat - a true delight! And I understand they’re continually working to improve it.)

Literally the best vegan ramen broth I’ve ever had. They only have the one vegetarian/vegan option, but you truly don’t need options when the one is so good. The cold sesame noodles and spicy green beans were also winners. They care a LOT about reservation times and party sizes- you need all members of your party to be there to get seated, if you’re more than 15 min late you lose your table, and they’re not interested in having you stick around after you’re done eating: a ton of people are coming through every night. But the food is just so good.

The bar tender was nice.. I sat at the bar.. it was an easy meal.. in and out.. appetizer was good.. fried egg plant which is what the waiter recommended but next time I think I would go for the fried chicken instead.. ramen was rich in flavor.. I would come back and try something different
