These are the BEST tacos I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of tacos! I only ever get the pork and it’s shaved off gyro style and cooked to perfection. Tender with crispy bits and just amazing. Order it with the works and every ingredient melds together so perfectly it’s indescribable really. Every time I bite into one I realize I’ve forgotten just how good it is even though I dream about them a lot 😅. Just try it believe me. You won’t regret it.

Have to wait a bit to order, line goes quick. No restrooms inside. One taco is obviously wont be enough to be satisfied. Prices are expensive for a very small plate. And last, we got poisoned after the meal, had to throw it up to come round. I can understand the atmosphere is about to love to eat while standing but it just didnt go well with us.

Get your tacos fully loaded with onions, cilantro, salsa, and guacamole for the best result. Bonus: They have Mexican coke, which we all know tastes much better due to its cane sugar Undoubtedly the best tacos I've had in my life, and I've been fortunate enough to be able to sample quite a few! My friends and I devoured our tacos so fast we barely managed to get photos, all in a matter of moments over the tiny standing counters they have with a window view out into the busy street. The staff are polite and funny folks, and seeing them cut from the rotating meat spit was awesome.

Was recommended by a friend that this places serves really good tacos and I was not disappointed. I had a beef and a marinated pork taco and they were yummy! It can get a little messy eating but it was worth it. They take orders pretty quickly and serve up fast too. You just stand there and eat or take away. The chips with guacamole is good too. You can see and eat chunks of avocado.

I had an amazing experience at Los Tacos No. 1 in Times Square, New York! The service was top-notch, and the food was absolutely delicious. Despite the long lines that stretched out the door, they moved surprisingly quickly. What's even better is that the prices were quite reasonable. I highly recommend this place for a fantastic taco experience in the heart of the city!

Best tacos in the US! Travelled all around the country and the entire menu is absolutely delicious and best I have had. Quality meat, ingredients, and toppings- you will taste the difference! I go out of my way to eat here when I’m in New York. You won’t be disappointed- unless you didn’t order enough the first time. The wait times vary but it is just that, waiting in line. Once you make your purchase you get your food right away made right in front of you.

Everything is amazing about this place! The food, tacos options are limited but sooo good. I took the flour tortilla but I would want to try the corn flour as well. They are extremely quick, efficient and clean. The chicken, steak and cactus tacos were all very delicious. It was a lot of fun to eat here and I would go there again

I LOVE this place! It is so tasty and just a fun atmosphere to be in. The line here is often long, and twice I tried to grab a taco before a show and didn't give myself enough time. But the second time was before I saw Six, which is an 80min show with no intermission, so I was able to make it in after the show before they closed at 10pm :) Glad this New York trip didn't have to end without eating one of the best tacos I've ever had.

My hotel was nearby and I walked pass it a few times. The lines were crazy like 80-100 people sometimes. I finally gave in to curiosity and I am glad that I did. There was about 50 people ahead of me but it took only 20 minutes. The line moved in a very good pace. The tacos were really delicious. The tortillas were made by hand right in front of you, and the meats were fresh too. Highly recommended if you are in the Times Square area.

Los Tacos is a noisy, chaotic place. But there's some rhythm to the chaos. You get in line to order and pay for your meal then you move down to find an open server who gets your order. Then the fun starts because you have to find a place to stand to eat. The tacos were great. And that's the opinion of a Californian.

The tacos here lived up to the hype! They don’t mess around here. They get you in and out quick. Fast service! They serve some great tacos. Beware of the hot sauce, it’ll make your nose run. Use it sparingly! Definitely come by here if you’re near Times Square.

Amazing food! The meat : adobada was the best! Had in a taco and on the special! The pick up counter can be confusing for a new comer. Tortillas are FRESH! I was they had chairs or stools , and a restroom. That would make it a 5…. Specially in such a busy tourist area. A “moment of rest” would be nice

Great authentic Mexican food as if we were south of the border! Environment even reminds me of Tijuana!! I recommend it to all. Both for the authentic food and the authentic environment. We enjoyed this short “escape” from the hustle and bustle of time square so much! The Adobada is the best thing to order on the menu… hands down!

Best of the best street tacos in NYC hands down. This is consistently on New York’s top 10 must eat list and rightfully deserving. Massive line anytime of the day is best indication of how great their food tastes.

Phenomenal tacos!!! Being in this part of NYC can be overwhelming as a tourist… especially when trying to pick a place to eat because there are so many options. We decided to try this place because it came up often on people recommendation’s of must-try places. We were not disappointed! We each had one of each taco & a beverage. Here are a few things that really stood out to us: - The flavours are incredible! - The pricing is very fair. 8 tacos & 2 drinks for $55 total… - The cleanliness was shocking! This place was fully packed, with standing tables and people everywhere, and yet the floors & tables were very clean. Clearly, the staff really pays attention to the experience! - The cooks/staff are a well-oiled machine! They were getting orders out efficiently and consistently. It was fun to watch with the music in the background. If we ever visit the area again, we’ll definitely come back! As they say: No ticket, no taco!

Came here for tacos before our Broadway show. Line wasn't too bad and we got our order in for tacos. However I forgot to order drinks and they told us to get back in line even though we got our tacos right away. Really? Way too over hyped for very avg service. Tacos were good but not the best. Pork was overcooked and rubbery. Chicken was good. Take your money elsewhere unless you want a rushed meal at a hyped restaurant.

While visiting NY one of the days during our stay we needed something fast and easy for lunch. Los tacos No. 1 hit the spot. Fast, helpful and kind service from everyone. Food was absolutely delicious! Just know that you will be eating while standing up! It’s a fast, in a out place!

Saw this place off some YouTube channel's a few year's ago and I knew that I had to try the food myself. It's phenomenal and once you taste it for yourself, you'll start to see why. Of course when you see any line forming outside a restaurant, you know things are going to be good. Only downside is there's no sit down areas, only standup counters for eating and you'll not have time to relax. It's come in, eat and go. It's a fast, to the point system in place here, but it's worth the wait in line to try some of this delicious food.

Went at 11:30am and there was a minimal line. Pretty good for a popular spot near Times Square tbh. For food I got the chicken, steak, and cactus tacos all on corn. The cactus was unique and worth the try but I probably won’t get it again. The chicken one wasn’t that good. The steak was really good. I’m from Texas so the street taco bar is pretty high for me and I can say the steak one was up there in terms of taste. No complaints.

The best tacos I’ve ever had. I don’t know how to explain it. Nothing in Vegas or Cabo or Cali top these things, it was so amazing and flavorful. Totally worth the wait. Simple and fantastic.

This is one of the best tacos in town. Went there on a weekday afternoon, with a little que but the order taking is fast. Collect your order ticket and hand over to the chef for preparation. You get to choose flour or corn taco, and the condiments. After collecting your food, toppings are available at the side. Tried their grilled steak and chicken tacos, flavorful and delicious. Will come back to try others for sure. There is plenty of standing area to enjoy your tacos in house.

Tacos were bomb. Recommended highly by friends who traveled to NYC. Did not disappoint. Try one of everything. Disclaimer: the salsa is spicy for those who don't eat spicy. They do the have a side bar for toppings if you just want to get the meat and do it yourself. Standing only no seating.

The food was amazing! The tacos are delicious and very well served. The salsas on the bar are quite spicy but worth it. The corn tortilla has a great flavor. The only thing is that the music was very loud. So if you enjoy eating tacos standing up with loud music this is your place.

Yes! An authentic taco in nyc! The aroma upon entry was astounding! The small crowd of people gathered close to make their orders. After placing my order I quickly ran to a standing table top to enjoy this beautiful. The taco: filled with juicy well seasoned chicken chucks and packed with a flavorful punch! The cost was around $4.50 worth every penny! I’m Nyc and on a budget but want to eat something filling this is what I’ll recommend!

This place should teach other restaurants how to operate! Runs like a well oiled machine and handles high volume without compromising quality or standard. Would eat here every day if I could! The tacos are so flavorful, pork was probably my favorite but they are all excellent. Prepare to wait in line because this place gets busy but it is worth the wait! We went early before they opened and waited in line, by the time they open there is already a group of people waiting

If it’s your first time like mine, I totally recommend the Steak and Pork. Corn tortilla and everything with it. Game for that kick? Add that red paste by the corner! Really so good! And I truly appreciate how the place is kept so clean and proper by the staff. Do bring yourself at odd hours to avoid the crowd. 3-4pm would be great! Vamos Tacos!

I’ve walked past this taco spot numerous times as they have a location at 136 Church. I went for the first time with a friend who has a refined taste for the best food spots in NYC. I’ve spent the past few days dreaming of the food from Los Tacos No. 1, after my first taste. The authenticity, the quality and the vibe was everything you can look forward to when it comes to trying the best tacos in NYC. The only thing I can say is that it gets so busy, you may not always find a place to sit in and enjoy your food. Yet, this business model is exemplarily of a revolving door, You won’t have to wait long to find a spot to down your tasty grub. The vibe is amazing and everyone is friendly, get in where you fit in. This spot will be my go to, but feel free to check out my reviews because La Loncheria in BK had some top tier food and a laxed vibe perfect for a date. Tap in, Tap in, Tap In !!!!

Came here to check out the hype! And it was well worth it! Hands down one of the best tacos I had. Ordered the chicken and pork, and the pork is one of the best I tried! If you ever come visit NYC make sure to try it! The lines are long but it moves quick and there are two locations I saw. One in Chelsea Market and other one in Time Square! Till next time !

BEST TACOS IN NYC, consistent no matter what location you're at. This location line moves fast, don't be intimidated by it! Know what you want to order AND the toppings you want and don't want. Get your tacos, find a spot at the tall counters to eat or find a table at Times Square and enjoy! This location is efficient, clean (staff was constantly wiping down when customers would leave and use the condiment station). I would highly recommend this for tourists and locals alike. Stick to the tacos! Made to order yay!

Service was top-notch, and the food was absolutely delicious. Despite the long lines that stretched out the door, they moved surprisingly quickly. What's even better is that the prices were quite reasonable. I highly recommend this place for a fantastic taco experience in the heart of the theater district.

This is my second time visiting Los Tacos No.1, my first at their midtown location. Their beef taco is insanely good - simple and delicious. Chicken was very good too. I can understand why people love this place so much, it hits the spot. Service was quick and efficient. 10/10

The place had a line out the door. Probably 30 people in line. I went really fast though. Waited less the 10 minutes. We got a taco and a quesadilla steak. Was really good. The salsa in the taco was spicy but a good spicy. The meat was flavorful. Shells were homemade. Cost was decent. About 6$ each. But you get a lot of food for the cost.

These are the BEST and most authentic tacos you will ever find!! Everything they have is amazing. I’ve eaten here multiple times and it has never disappointed me. Their horchata is also amazing, never leave this place without a cup of that! Staff is very nice & it never takes very long for them to make your food. Definitely 10/10!

Good tacos with plenty of flavor. They seem pretty authentic and made from scratch. They are pretty generous with the toppings, including the meat. I like that they played real Mexican music, while enjoying my tacos. The agua de horchata was also very good !

The tacos are juicy and flavorful, but not quite life changing as the reviews and media around this place would lead you to believe. I've had comparable tacos for half the price. Expect to spend a lot, I paid $49 for 6 tacos and two drinks. I commend the professionalism of the cooks for being able communicate and make 100s of tacos an hour despite the loud and crowded atmosphere.

When I visited there was a long line outside in order to place an order. Line moved at a moderate speed around 5:30pm and we had to wait about 25 minutes to place an order. Are these the best tacos I have ever had? No but they were good. I enjoyed the grilled chicken Vs the steak tacos and that they gave you the option to put everything on them which included cheese and guacamole. They provide fresh limes and a bar with a variety of hot sauces and radish which it was nice to have all the traditional aspects in a fast paced environment like this. Staff was very friendly from the young gentleman who helped us place our order to the man who prepared it. They are hustling in the kitchen everyone was working very hard. It is standing room only in this establishment and first come first serve. I would recommend if you see a spot open up to order for whoever your with while they go and hold the spot so you have somewhere to enjoy your food!

KETO! Was able to enjoy these very flavorful tacos. The cheese shell was perfect. I was full off of 1. Both the steak and chicken were seasoned to perfection and all the workers were friendly and hard working. Seamless ordering and over clean establishment to be so busy in the heart of times square!! Will go back before I leave!

  • 4/5 BreBre 2 years ago on Google
Good tacos! Chicken in moist and the flavors are there. $4 a taco is a little much and the quesadilla was basically a taco just opened face. Thought it would be different. But overall the place was very good and very fresh. You do feel a little rushed as you are ordering. You tell the cash register employee what you want then they give you a ticket and you move down the line and give it to the cook employee and you tell him what you want on it. But it’s always so busy you feel rushed.

I’m from California so it’s tough to provide critic for tacos but this place does serve decent, quick to eat tacos - tried cactus tacos and it’s pretty decent, very juicy. Their pork tacos is really good that pineapple added nice sweet touch to the charred pork. Quick place to be for snack while you’re out and about in Times Square!

Found this amazing place back in 2020 right before the lockdown. Being from the West Coast, I feel we know a thing or two about tacos. Los Tacos does it right! We were back in NYC last wee and stopped by 3 times to get our fill. Nothing beats fresh made tortillas with the assortment of meats and toppings. Looking forward to our next trip back East.

Perfectly cooked pork so tender and juicy con todos in a slightly crispy grilled flour tortilla. Best bite in the area for short money and HUGE flavor!!! #sabrosura #querico Best Mexican food in the Northeast this place is perfect for a quick bite before the theater.

Los tacos was all over social media so I had to stop by and check it out. They were good tacos with an upbeat vibe in Chelsea market. I tried all of the tacos available and was not disappointed. The corn tortillas are authentic and the flavors are there. I have to say the west coast tacos in cali still have them beat, but I would definitely come back again!

Tacos here were just OK. I don’t get what the hype is about. I had a lot better in Chicago for less money (at a family owned place). This place become a mass-production chain and that might be the reason? While I did enjoy the food, I didn’t find it to be exceptional in any way. Staff were super friendly and efficient, it was cool to see them work. Would I eat there again? Sure. But I would go of my path to get there.

Coming from a Texan, this is truly a legit taco joint. Juicy, simple, and divine. Just a squeeze of lime and wash it down with your favorite Mexican beverage. Cue only took a few minutes and they move fast. Standing room only. Great for a quick bite... because you're not gonna eat these tacos slow. This place would do well anywhere. Bravo! 👏👏👏

Los Tacos No. 1 is always on our list when we come to NYC. We usually go to the Chelsea Market location. The tacos are outstanding with high quality ingredients, prices are great and service is fast. Definitely a must visit for a reasonably priced, excellent lunch or dinner.

Okay, I heard about this place but wasn’t really keen as I was fearing a long wait, food might end being underwhelming etc but then I mustered the energy and walked for 35min only to realise that I found the BEST tacos place you can eat. Wow, the freshness of the ingredients, the perfect size of the portion, the flavours of the chicken/sauces/guacamole and that final touch of the lime made this moorish and delectable. In short it’s light delicious wholesome and good value. This is one place I will go again and again. Oh, dont forget the lovely “market place” atmosphere the place has. Enjoy!!!

The absolute BEST tacos that I have had at a public establishment. The atmosphere was fantastic, I love the stand tables, the line wrapping down the sidewalk is 100% worth it. I went to multiple of their locations, every single one of them were so great. I tried just about everything they had and everything was so delicious. Iv ate there and have taken it to go when tables were full. ❤️❤️❤️

Wow!! Just ate here and it is delicious. I tried the marinated pork and grilled cactus tacos. Both amazing…. but the pork might just be the best pork taco I have ever had.

  • 5/5 ecmie l. 2 years ago on Google
We ordered the nopal and cane asada tacos, both of which were very flavorful! The cactus has such a unique, sour flavor and everything (especially the guac) was seasoned so well. Despite it being super busy and crowded, the service was still great and we did not have to wait long. That being said, the tacos are a bit pricey for what they are as they're pretty small. Would still recommend any visitors give it a try though!

The place is really a Mexican restaurant experience the taste of tacos y really good also the salsas and drinks are pretty close that you can fine in México. It's a nice place open and big there is a lot of people always and all time. In mexico is famous to go to tacos after a party like a munchies so could be a nice experience to try these tacos at night.

  • 5/5 Albert W. 6 months ago on Google
Nice casual taco joint. Recommend trying a bunch of different tacos if it's your first time. Nice ordering experience - you order what you want first and hand your docket to a cook to put your tacos together for you. I don't know how common it is but they do cactus tacos - definitely worth trying. Don't forget to add additional salsa on the side!

  • 5/5 Dona D. 2 years ago on Google
One of the best tacos we’ve ever had. Although it was more on the expensive side, it was expected for NYC prices and the quality didn’t disappoint. Make sure to try the chips and salsa if you visit - the salsa was great!

DO NOT PASS THIS PLACE UP!!! Wow, I love street tacos and this place does a freaking awesome job of bringing them to the streets of New York City!!!! The place was hoppin, we waited outside but the line moved fast. You look at the wall make a selection and place your order. Next take your ticket down the line for them to fix up your food. We went with the carne asada, the pork and a chicken fried quesadilla. We got them prepared “con todo” with onion, cilantro, salsa and avocado. This was a quick and amazing meal. The other thing that stands out is… you stay standing there are no seats. But that is all good, because eating these tacos are a full contact sport. The chips and salsa were so good and nice and spicy. If you get a chance go, and enjoy some quality tacos!

  • 5/5 Sunlime 2 years ago on Google
You have to go. You literally have to. The tacos here were the best I have ever eaten in my entire life. I got a chicken and pork taco both with corn tortillas as well as their quesadilla especial with pork, a fried tortilla with tons of melted cheese. Everything tastes great, the environment is awesome, there is only “stand-up seating”, but it feels right when you’re there. Get down there and get some tacos!

  • 3/5 Mah A. 7 months ago on Google
The quality of food was fine. But did it worth on this price? Absolutely not! The Mexican soda was AMAZING! Taco was fine, like any other tacos you can have in any other place! Staff were friendly but not accurate! They got our orders wrong and then fixed it. The atmosphere was mostly like grab and go/eat while your standing! I don’t like it! Overall, I don’t try it again!
