I’m pretty sure Morton’s steakhouse is a staple for people in NYC. However I’ve never been. As you know you must be vaccinated to eat indoor and they also have a dress code but when I visited it didn’t look like it was enforced. The decor is grand and so are the tables. This is the perfect place to impress a client or a date! The staff is friendly and open to explaining things that are in the menu and how they’re cooked which is always appreciated. You’re served and onion bread with a side of butter to start. It’s tasty but don’t get too caught up or you don’t be able to finish your meal. I ordered the BLOOMING HIBISCUS as my drink which was so refreshing I had to have two. For the entree I ordered the FILET MIGNON* & LOBSTER TAIL & SMOKED GOUDA & BACON AU GRATIN POTATOES as a side. The AU Gratin was so good I’ve tried looking up ways I could replicate it at home. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. I would visit again for special occasions

What an awesome experience! Morton's is a very traditional and famous steakhouse in NYC, and we went there to celebrate a special occasion. We knew beforehand that the place was pricy, so we were expecting nothing less than a perfect experience - and our expectations were met. Place was not crowded, and the staff treated us well enough. Food was delicious - the wagyu filet was the best meat I've ever had! My wife had the lobster ravioli, and it was also excellent. We should have ordered only one dessert, because they are enough for two people. Again, price is pretty high, but it is worth the experience.

Dreadful, horrible experience! The awful manager, Maria, needs to be reprimanded for her behavior & the way she treats guests. I made a reservation here bc the Thanksgiving menu shown online included turkey, sides & a wine pairing menu w/a preset cost. This was misleading, as this was NOT offered on TG. When we arrived, the women at the host stand rudely said “we don’t have turkey.” Knowing that our dining options were limited on TG, we reluctantly stayed. The host sat 2 of us at the smallest table they had, which was about 2x2 ft. 2 ladies came in behind us w/no resv & were seated at a huge 4-top table. We saw that & asked to be moved to a larger table. The rude host shook her head at us & walked off. We got up & asked her why. She had no explanation, so she moved us to a 4-top table that was next to the entrance where we could feel the cold air every time the front door was opened. Server Hank took our order – a Caesar salad, porterhouse steak ($75) to be cooked medium rare, mashed potatoes, & The Troy. I emphasized to Hank the importance of the steak not being overcooked. Hank ensured it would be cooked properly. 1 hr later, a well-done porterhouse was placed in front of us by a different server. The plates were resting on the guy’s clothes. Gross. Hank had disappeared, so we had to flag down someone (who we later found out was Awful Maria) & asked her to send over Hank. She asked why. We told her that the steak was well done but we ordered med rare. She took the plate & walked off. When Hank finally came over, we told him the problem. To avoid a repeat, we asked for 12oz filet cooked to a true medium rare. I also requested hot mashed potatoes to come out w/the steak to avoid eating cold potatoes with hot steak. Instead of “of course,” he responded “let me see what I can do.” 30 mins later & after 2+ hours, another server brought a RARE filet. NO hot mashed potatoes & NO Hank in sight. We flagged down someone else -Corrina- another manager. We filled her in, & she was very apologetic. She immediately went to the back. She returned w/hot potatoes and said, “I’m sorry about this. Don’t worry about this, we’ve covered the sides & the steak.” We thanked her, & she walked away. Nobody from the staff checked to make sure that the steak was cooked properly. Although it was RARE (I have photos), we said nothing because we were tired, hungry, & didn’t want to complain about free steak. When it came time to pay, Hank brought the check. The porterhouse & 2 sides were removed, but the 12oz filet was not. We told Hank what Corrina told us about the steak being “covered”. He said he would go check on that & walked away. From a distance, we watched Hank approach Maria. Seconds later, Maria charged our table & aggressively yelled, “what is it you want comped now!?” We felt threatened by her & calmly told her what Corrina said about covering the steak & explained that we never asked for anything to be comped. Corrina offered. Maria then took the check & stormed off. For 5-10 minutes, we watched Maria making phone calls. Once finished, she made another aggressive B line to our table. “Corrina told me she told you that she only offered to cover the porterhouse, not the filet.” Us: “it was obviously understood that the porterhouse would be removed since we didn’t eat it. Why would you expect us to pay for something that you guys messed up & that we didn’t eat?” Maria: “Well, that’s what she said. I’m not gonna take off the steak.” Us: “then we’re gonna have a problem.” Maria scoffed, ripped the check away, and walked off. She returned to the table aggressively, put the check down in front of us & said “I took off the steak.” Me: “what’s your name?” Tone changed! She said “sorry about this, Corrina should have, you know what, never mind. Have a good night.” Just disgusting behavior. Morton’s isn’t committed to exceptional service & quality. The staff is disheveled, unprofessional, rude, & needs to be retrained on how to treat people decently.

We were looking forward to our dinner at Morton's. We ordered delivery from them twice during the pandemic and it was excellent both times. We chose NYC midtown, Wednesday 5:30PM for our reservation. Upon arrival, the restaurant was not busy. We were met and seated quickly and efficiently. Courteous waitress soon took our orders. Drinks were very slow to arrive. In fact, they finally came at the exact second that our steaks arrived. I no longer wanted the drink and returned it. The NY strip steaks that my wife and I ordered were slightly undercooked. We both ordered medium rare, but steak was about half way between rare and medium rare. Flavor was very good, but meat was too chewy and even a little hard to slice. Also, a little to salty. Bread, was excellent. As was the sides, creamed spinach and onion rings. Considering the prices that you pay here, the same as any high end steakhouse, as well as the service issues, I can only rate this meal 3 stars.

Great decor, ambiance and food. The filet mignon 6 Oz was a perfect size for lunch and super high quality even though it was part of Restaurant Week menu. The French onion soup (they kindly accommodate my request not to add cheese) was also very delicious. As well as garlic string beans. All very solid 5! Oh and omg, the onion bread is bid, fluffy and warm (and complimentary)! The service was a bit slow (but friendly) though the restaurant was may be 1/3 full on Friday afternoon. So we had to steal spoons from the neighbor table for Creme Brulee eventually as we never received them. Loved the mellow jazz music, definitely added to the experience.

Located in midtown. Decent ambiance. Serving staff was excellent. Fully stocked bar. Beverages were great and brought to the table quickly. We started with warm bread. The bread had a bit too much garlic. The chopped salad was excellent. Oysters were also great. The porterhouse was really good. Sides were sour cream mashed potatoes and spinach with button mushrooms. I ordered a side of bacon wrapped scallops and they were amazing. Everything was served warm and tasty. Excellent timing. The key Lime pie was fantastic. I will be back.

I visited Morton's The Steakhouse while in New York City. Two dear friends treated myself and another dear friend to dinner for our birthdays! The atmosphere was warm and inviting! The ambience was calm and soothing! Our waiter was good! I would have said great but he gave more attention to the table of folks that was spending more money. That's understandable! I'm sure he received a huge tip that night. I just think everyone should get the same service regardless of the money they spend. Morton's presented my birthday friend and me with an individual sized cheesecake with strawberries on top and lemon curd on the bottom. It had a lit candle in the middle! After blowing that out, and diving in, we immediately tasted the deliciousness of that dessert. Then they hand wrote us a nice card with a picture of all of us at the table. That was a genuine, heartfelt touch. Thank you Morton's for your excellent customer service!

What a wonderful dinner. The server was so on top of our needs, but never obtrusive. Water ways filled. Perfect timing for checking on us. The filet mignon was the best I've had. Perfect medium rare (delivered just a tad under, but byte time I started neat it, perfect). Excellent flavor and tender. Loaded baked potato and street corn were also outstanding. Creme rule was great and the mousse was perfect. Other wait staff were attentive and flawless in service and timing. Was it expensive? Sure, we knew that going in. Was it worth it and memorable? Absolutely!! Put it on your list of you live a great steak!!!

Great food, Great Management, good attention, clean bathroom. $330 aprox for two people. The dessert was really cold (first time, because in other restaurant is a combination of cold in bottom and hot in the top).

The salmon was good but my date had a steak that was unacceptable and the manager only said sorry. The $250 bill was a waste of money. This restaurant is known for their steaks and ours was poorly cooked. I went to the Hackensack location.

Had a wonderful solo experience at this location in Midtown manhattan earlier today during New York Restaurant week. Staff were attentive and friendly. The wedge salad was crisp and plentiful. The filet mignon was juicy and delicious. The prix fixe ended with a smooth and tart key lime pie. Prices for dinner normally start at $100. I would definitely return.

Everything was very good but not great. There are better steakhouses in new york and manhattan. The potatoes au-gratin we're amazing and probably the best item that we had. The lavender cosmopolitan drinks were above average. The onion bread was superb. The lava cake with ice cream was average.

Made reservations for my Fiancés 44th Birthday. Our waiter was extremely pleasant and attentive. Gave pointers on drinks and food. I will say it was a little hot where we were sitting but our waiter explained the reason behind it was open kitchen. Over all we loved the attention to detail the menu was printed to be personalized which was pretty awesome. The food was great and so were the drinks. Overall we had a great time and would Definitely go back.

Truly a delicious meal. Went for a birthday and restaurant week deal - three course meal for $60 a person dinner. ALWAYS get the steak. Creamed spinach is a classic and they even took and printed pictures of us for the special event! Worth every penny, typical steakhouse price. Would come back asap.

We ordered half restaurant week menu, half normal menu. The porterhouse (normal menu) was probably the best savoury dish. The filet mignon (rw menu) was pretty dry. Of all the sides, I like au gratin potatoes (normal menu) the most. The appetizers from rw menu, wagyu meatball and proscuitto wrap mozzarella (not pictures), were okay. I was satisfied with my hot chocolate cake (rw menu) for dessert. The cake is not too sweet and it goes well with the sweet melted chocolate filling. Service was pretty bad, just very slow in general, even when there wasn't a lot of guests left at the end. Food was very normal overall, I don't think it is worth what we paid.

We just like food. We can’t afford Morton’s normally- but during restaurant week we make the splurge for one new fancy place in the city. We chose Morton’s this time and for the casual diner it blew us away. The bread (an ENTIRE LOAF??), the steak: crispy on the outside, melt in your mouth on the inside, and the pie???? Oh the creamy pie.

I love going to Morton's! They have Ivan, he is one of the best bartender I had the pleasure to meet in the city! From making amazing cocktails and dirty martinis with stuffed olives, to really making sure I am being please with all the service. Food there is amazing, sometimes one of my favorite cut is the filet mignon. I would highly recommend for dates.

The Wife and I did our annual trip to NYC to check out the tree and all of the Christmas festivities the city has to offer. This year we wanted to try Morton’s. We first were given bread which was served with plenty of butter to go along with it. Next was our entrees, we wanted to save room for a number of sides so we held off on any appetizers. We enjoyed the 8oz Filet, the 16oz NY Strip complimented with bacon wrapped scallops, the creamed spinach, brussel sprouts and smoked Gouda & bacon Au gratin potatoes. The steaks were delish especially when doused with the truffle butter. The creamed spinach was incredible and so were the Brussels sprouts. I thought the potatoes were okay, but I was happy to give them a try. To finish off the meal we enjoyed a few coffees and a crème brûlée to share. It may have lasted 2 minutes. Very delicious. Our waiter was incredible and made the dining experience wonderful. Glad we stopped in and look forward to go back in the future!

I often grab lunch here and haven't yet tried their dinner, but I gotta say, this place nails it during lunchtime. The vibe is just right and the service is top-notch. Their burgers are a must-try, especially with those crispy fries. And don't even get me started on their Morton steak sauce - it's the bomb on a burger. Pro tip: ask for caramelized onions on top; it's a game changer. Heads up, their medium burgers are more on the medium-well side, so if you're a medium fan, go for medium-rare. Trust me, it's worth it!

After a matinee my husband and I decided to pop in here for dinner and drinks. We opted to sit at the bar and that was a mistake. We were the only patrons sitting there….and I can see why. The bartender is scaring all the customers away! She was obviously perturbed that we sat at the bar, like it was a huge inconvenience to serve us drinks, which took forever. She snapped at us and was snapping at the servers coming to the service bar. When we had the audacity to ask for food menus she practically snarled at us. I felt so uncomfortable sitting there we opted to leave. The hostess noticed something was wrong and offered to please seat us at a table and to comp our drinks. This was the one saving grace, but honestly after how awkward and negative our experience at the bar was, we didn’t even want to stay for a comped experience. We’d rather leave and find some better service and energy.

We shared the Epic Ocean Platter as a starter which was amazing! Then I had the delicious miso marinated sea bass which was to die for. My favorite side was the truffles mashed cauliflower. Everything was simply mouth-watering and tasty!

Food was great. We ordered NY strip and Shrimp scampi. We also had a chocolate cake to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Paul, the wonderful person who served and helped, took a photo of us, printed it, and gave it to us as a gift. Those small but meaningful acts is what the world needs. Our trip to NYC has had many beautiful moments, meeting Paul and his smile is one of them.

Unbelievable prime, but high price experience. The Service was extraclass, the Ambiente more than just Business casual, it had a modern but also vintage Flair, like the golden 20s. The Personal were Kind and had always a helping Hand. The food was extravagant and the style of the menus was perfectly coordinated. It was the best steak experience i had for a long time and hope i can Taste it again. Thanks to Morton's for this No. 1 hospitality!

Another birthday done right ✅. I love this place literally my go to place. Amazing steaks every time, you have to try to the Cajun ribeye literally to die for! Everything was on point everything was extremely delightful. They have this reward system totally worth to sign up it costs under 100$ but it pays itself back after the first meal. 11/10 definitely recommend!

A very nice steakhouse with friendly servers, and some good food, if you're willing to pay a pretty penny. I don't mind paying more money for good food, and this is definitely one of those spots. I've been here multiple times over the last couple of years, and love coming back. The food is excellent, the servers very friendly, and the ambiance is on point. They're trying to go for the art deco Style with everything, and they're doing a good job. The steak I had for $60 was perfectly cooked, not very charred, and tasted fantastic. The creamed spinach on the side was a little spicy, you have to like that, but if you do, you'll love it as well. My favorite out of everything however wad the Lava cake as dessert. Freshly made, warm, and miles better than other variations of it that I've tried in other places. One downside of my last visit was, that dinner took around 2 hours, the first being just waiting time for the food to get ready. For a restaurant in the city where everything has to be done five minutes ago, that's quite a wait.

Amazing staff from my server to the busboy to the chef. The place was spotless. The service was perfect. I honestly have no complaints and couldn't be more pleased. You get what you pay for. And very much worth every penny.

I was celebrating 🎉 a good friends Birthday and we chose to come here, we weren't disappointed. The service was nothing short of perfection, they have some of the best wine collection from white to red and have bottle choices as well. The bread was amazing and held us well until they brought an amazingly cooked filet mignon with a loaded potato fit for royalty. Our Server Dante made sure we would be coming back to see him because of his knowledge of steak sauses that left us craving more. If you're in the NYC area this steakhouse I highly recommend.

We had dinner at Morton's for our first year anniversary with my wife. I have to say there was Very good service, really delocious foods but no window and no fresh air. Prices over the average but we already expected it. Last but not least I have to mention that; marination of the steak with garlic was amazing. I can say every New Yorker should visit once.

I’d like to start out by saying Paul was a phenomenal server. He explained the menu in detail as it was our first time dining at Morton’s (we normally go to Mastro’s). It seemed like the restaurant was overwhelmed with the Valentine’s Day volume. The drinks took extremely long each time. The sugar around the rim was sloppily decorated. The lemon drops were nothing but lemon flavor. I can tell the bartender did not make the drinks with love. The food left a lot to be desired as far as flavor. The steak did not have a bone-in, even Paul was confused as to why the Chef decided to throw it out. I can’t say I’d be back … glad I gave it a try but for the price there are other steakhouses that have way better service + food.
