Had a great impromptu night here on our way to a gig at a Rockwood Music Hall in July while visiting NY from Australia. Treated by Matt the bar man like we were long lost friends and had great drinks at really reasonable prices too. So good we came back on our way home. Would recommend it to anyone visiting NYC.

Antler is a really cool dive bar between Chinatown and Bowery. It's a basement bar so you will find it down a flight of steps. Inside, it's very narrow but goes back quite a ways. It's got a few dozen tables plus some bar seating, as well as chairs and couches in the back room where they have an old arcade machine and a TV playing old movies. Drinks here are normal price but they have a few food options. The grilled cheese is oddly amazing, you wouldn't think it would be from a dive bar but it's delicious and a must try.

I somehow lost my AirPods and glasses agree on a Friday night and had them back on Monday. If that doesn’t tell you anything about the staff and clients, nothing will. They have a good menu too lol

Nice soju shots – smooth – and Eric the bartender was nice and personable. Bathroom was clean, and I like the back area with comfy couches too. Not always that easy to find a bar with couches! It's a little too dark and felt a bit eerily empty on Monday night at 11:45 pm.

Found this place on a whim and so glad we did! CHEAP drinks considering where you are - a lot of places in Manhattan charge $20-25 a cocktail, here it was $13. The vibe was kind of speakeasy in the sense that it was dim, a little quiet and tucked away, and overall really great environment. Loved it and had a great time. The bartender was really kind and helpful in recommending drinks. We had Frozen Agave Paloma (pictured), Mule, Cocchi & Tonic, and Spritz. All great drinks and would recommend! Would love to come back next time I'm in the city.

I got a Mules and it was amazing. The bartender was kind to allow to bring a cake and eat it in the bar. It was friend’s birthday. We don’t have to wait in line to get in either. Thank God. The music volume is just right and I don’t have to keep shouting at my friends.

I've been here 3 times now and keep forgetting that I've been here. :) That's not a bad thing. Yes, this bar is unassuming, but that's part of its charm. I can guarantee you'll find yourself a repeat customer because it's got a great happy hour, chill vibes, and throwback tunes. Every time I've been here it's been relaxed and not crowded (once, I met some friends here on New Year's Eve). The bartender's friendly, and the drinks are great. Funny enough, I've only ever sat at the bar. It's a long-ish place and has a room in the back.

Comfy spot, friendly bartender, $5 Happy Hour for Pinot Grigio Cab Franc, and Pilsner, Stout, IPAs. Happy Hour was from 4pm to 7pm on Sunday (Don’t know if there is Happy Hour in other weekday). Recommended.

Nice place, drinks, atmosphere... but the stools are too high for the bar top. Since the stools don't have a back to them, it can all make for an uncomfortable sit.

I love this bar tucked away below. The cocktails were great as was the lighting. I felt smug watching everyone queueing for another place nearby knowing this was a true delight they may never know about.

This staff can’t get out of their own way. This place only serves beer and wine and related drinks but takes longer than any cocktail bar. The servers are nice but move at 60% speed of a normal person. I can’t understand how it took 20 min to get a beer with no one else ordering drinks- including the bartender charging the wrong card (another one he just picked up off the bar) and then decided to figure out how to refund this random person for his mistake instead of closing me out after still waiting so long for no reason. Your bartenders are space cadets

Top knotch atmosphere, knowledgeable barman and that hidden gem feel make this place a must visit. Love the hidden charm of the place and the selection is no nonsense and should appeal to anyone looking to go to an interesting place to grab a drink under the old-school Edison bulbs.

Stopped in just for a moment to escape the weather for a while. It was unusually quiet being the Sunday post Thanksgiving holidays, but the Cab Franc (chilled) was great and just $5 at Happy hour. Additionally, they had many Non-Alcoholic options. The general atmosphere was great, very cozy, with a cellar/bunker/hunting lodge vibe, movies playing on the projectors and a pac-man arcade game in the back.

Everything from the low lighting to wooden decor makes this place feel very intimate. The bartender is dish a friendly dude & I enjoy coming here with my partner whenever we can get the chance. It’s such a cute little place to stop by for drinks & get away from the rest of the noisy city.

Chill, comfy vibes. Reasonable wine prices. Great happy hour. Attention to detail with the music and audio setup

The beer and cocktails were good and the warm mulled wine was great. However, they ran out of the mulled wine after our first order and the cava they serve is undrinkable. We politely returned it and ultimately didn't pay for it but the bar tender was very defensive about it stating that he'd been serving it all day and hadn't received any complaints.

It was my 2nd visit on 12/22, and I was pretty disappointed this time. On my first visit, I ordered the very first cocktail on the menu, which I particularly enjoyed it because the drink was sweet and had a great scent of cinnamon and cinnamon star as a deco on top. However, this time my friend and I could not taste anything about cinnamon and the cinnamon star was replaced by orange peels. We had to ask more for the cinnamon syrup but in my standard, that drink definitely did not taste like the one I had on my first visit. I am disappointed with the inconsistency and I wouldn't recommend this place to my friends anymore ;/

Its a great beer and wine bar with a wide selection, friendly staff, and cool people that come in. The beers focus on new york state brewers, which is great for local beer tasters and longtime fans alike, and they also always have a sour option or four, which is great. Orange and skin contact wine fans won’t be disappointed. Overall, its cozy

Way better than I expected. Great bartenders, wine and vibe. Very chill, bring a friend or a date to talk. Not ragey. 10/10 will revisit!

The perfect dive wine bar in the area. They have really good seating in the back and great wines for the price. The bartender was courteous and professional and took good care of us even with the busy crowd during happy hour

Coincidentally found this place. Calm and quiet bar, nice for a chat without deafeningly loud music. They have a good selection of beer and wines.
