The rice lump hard stick together. Normally , the rice shouldn't clump like this if it was fresh rice. I ordered beef gypro with falafel and instead I got beef gypro with chicken. The order is somewhat wrong here. The chicken portion is very little compared to beef , it looks like somebody ate the chicken portion. You did add extra green pepper though. The chicken and beef are good since I'm not a salty addicted person. The price is a little high based on the quality control here. I don't think it was better than street vendor halal cart to be honest.

Standard Halal Guys food. The location has some awkward stools to sit with a very high table ledge that places the food right in line with your face. So this place is good to grab a quick bite by yourself or one other person, due to the weird seating. The food is good and tasty, but the actual restaurant is not as nice as other Halal Guy locations. Staff was friendly and food was served quickly.

Beef gyro on plate is my favorite. This place is good to buy gyro whenever I want without waiting for them to open in the night time on 53rd street. I bought to go and have my food at the hotel. Taste as good as it should be from the original food stall on the street. Love it.

Great place to go eat some gyro, chicken and beef. Tip: I like it spicy.

This is technically "three star" food to my estimation, however I'm giving a one star out of principal. Halal Guys has been around for decades but within the past few years alone, the prices have jumped up dramatically and there has been a noticeable decline in quality. I once ordered from this location and it was my last! The meat was rubbery and only seemed to have been seasoned with salt. They once had a limited-time lamb special and it was simply awful. Humus used to always be included with platters for free but now you always have to pay. Tomatoes and jalapenos also used to be free but now they cost extra. There is simply no reason to go for Halal Guys anymore. There's literally a better and cheaper cart with faster lines if you walk at least two blocks in any direction. If you're willing to wait and go uptown, Adel's Halal is now officially the best in the city.

First time having Halal Guys in a few years and it was just like I remembered. I got the mixed bowl (beef and chicken) and it was very yummy. Make sure you don’t skimp on the white sauce! It might look like a lot but it’s delicious. I also like to add their hot sauce but make sure you ask for it on the side.

There is nothing to compare with this place for authentic NYC halal. There is a reason why they are the most famous! Delicious, fresh ingredients, and really friendly staff. I love their generous portions even in the small size! I definitely recommend The Halal Guys 1000%

I recently visited this location. I love the fact that its so bright inside and very clean. When i walked in, i went directly towards the back to order my food. I asked for a beef bowl to go. I guess the guy didnt hear me because he gave me chicken. I didn't complain and just took it. The guy at the register was really nice. He told me a few times that i could go back and have the guy remake my plate. I didnt bother to because 1. It was already made and 2. I didnt mind having the chicken. The food was really good. I love being able to have packets of white sauce and hot sauce. It is alot of food so I always have left overs to reheat so having the extra sauce is amazing. The chicken plate came with yellow rice, tomatoes, lettuce and pita bread. I had them add white sauce on top. Overall i cant wait to return. I definitely want to return soon and try the beef.

Very delicious Chicken over rice. The platter does not take that long to be prepared. It comes fresh and hot right in-front of you. The staff are friendly and welcoming (: they always offer extras but its all up to you .. dessert 🍮 is upfront (cakes etc..) many drinks available at the fridge

Normally I would give this a five star. But ever since they’ve hired new night people we have been getting less portions! We would still be a bit hungry after the meal. 😢 One scoop and i’m already seeing the bottom of the container! 😢 as you can see in the pictures, it barely fills the container all the way…

When I first tried the Halal guys five years ago I liked it so much I used to eat it every time a passed through. I have not had it since the pandemic and it saddens me to admit that I was thoroughly disappointed. For 11.99 you get a small platter that is the same quality if not less than most carts in the streets. They even removed the complimentary sauce they used to provide people that dined in free of charge. Now you have to pay 75¢ for a spoonful. It’s not worth the hype anymore, I will stick to street carts

Whether you’re a fan of halal food or trying it for the first time, The Halal Guys’ chicken platter is a must-try. It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience that tantalizes the taste buds with its exquisite sauce and delectable chicken.

The famous Halal Guys was a great meal though personally I think the reputation builds up a bigger expectation!

The food was so good. One of the best chicken over rice plates I have ever had. Always ask for extra white sauce (it’s so good).

Don’t order delivery from here unless you want a small portion and not your money’s worth. I paid extra for two regular sized bowls, and the small portions that I got did not reflect that. I have purchased inside of the store before so I know what the portion size supposed to be. I think it’s best to just head to 53rd street and get the authentic version from the food cart vendors.

Honestly it was horrible. The chicken had a slimy, almost raw like texture. Pita was stale. Halal guys has gone down the drain. Never again.

$ 11.99 for regular gyro I think kind of too much . And eating late night 1:38 am early Sunday morning it doesn’t even test all that .The chicken need to cook little bit more I think.

Honestly not too sure what the appeal is; I got a chicken over rice with lettuce tomato onions and white sauce. I wouldnt even call it chicken; it’s that fake processed chicken that barely even tastes nor looks like chicken. The rice was good, as were the vegetables but overall was hard to enjoy because of the chicken. Im sure it has it’s target demographic & place in the market but I guess i’m not in that group, my mistake coming in here. Very nice workers/cooks though!

The last time I had middle eastern fare I was in Afghanistan and the rice wasn’t dry and it didn’t come with ranch dressing all over it called “white sauce” i don’t get the rave. I saw multiple videos with locals having a heart attack over this food. And honestly it sucks. I think New Yorkers have eaten 1 to many hotdogs and bad pizza and now think halal guys food is good. They’re rated anywhere from 3.0 to 4.3. So maybe the 4.3 cart called in sick and the 3.0 took his place.. either way skip and go to Billy’s hot dog stand.

We were too tired to walk and get the food ourselves so we ordered via doordash. The food came on time and we were happy with how the food tasted. It was great. We got the small portions but would probably get the regular ones the next time. This is the chicken and beef gyro platter.

The food was okay m. I really didn’t appreciate the fact that they mixed up my order and didn’t clarify which sandwich has jalapeños. My friend bit into confused and with a burning tongue. One thing I would say to improve is the napkin package. It’s such a waste of money and plastic. Why are you trying advertise your company by putting a sealed package around the napkins. It doesn’t make sense. Just let the napkins be. The customer service was alright. I would recommend they become more professional. They seemed slow with communicating with me. Kept asking me about what topping I wanted even though I told him 5 times. Seems like a work system isn’t strong. Maybe structure another working system that works efficiently.

$17 for this? Are you kidding me, they didn't even give the packets of white sauce and hot sauce! And there is literally 1/2 tray of food. Very disappointed!

The best chicken over rice in NYC no doubt ! The best thing in that dish is that the chicken is not tampered with, it has basic spices so u can taste the chicken, the sauce is flawless as usual, the staff of that specific store are very polite and friendly...i get the same plate almost everyday from the same spot...

Well, I've been coming to the 14th st. location since it opened. I don't come here much anymore since I don't work close by. I was in the neighborhood last Sunday and stopped in around 2 am and was disappointed. The restaurant has turned into an assembly line / non personalized experience. I like a chicken on pita sandwich (since the day they've opened I've never been able to get grilled onions which always bugged me), I was hungry. I got my sandwich (with the un cooked onions) and was charged over $10 for this. When I got home (a few blocks away) the chicken was barely warm with the hard onions and a smaller (than I'm used to) sandwich. It made me realize that the Halal guys were a fad (and that it has passed). I work on 12th and avenue A and have found a Halal truck (close by) that gives me a great sandwich (as I like with grilled onions) personalized greetings by the cook and all for $8. Bye bye Halal guys (you are too commercialized for this native New Yorker).

This place is my regular spot for Halal food! So much bang for your buck and speedy to get your food even with a line. This place is a fine tuned machine. And if you ask for extra white sauce you definitely get extra as you can see from the photo! Can't wait to get back up to NYC soon and feast here again.

I placed an order for a two gyros both with meat, rice, and extra sauce. I received one with meat, rice, no extra sauce. The second gyro must have been a joke, I could not believe any restaurant would send this. I received an aluminum foil filled with rice. I called the restaurant 5 times and was sent to voicemail. The lack of care and professionalism with this place is insane. I reported it to grub hub and submitted a complaint.
