Brooklyn Bridge Sightseeing Bike Rentals and Tours

Bicycle rental service

👍👍 Definitely upgrade to an electric bike! So much fun! We rented two bikes for 5 hours to ride around Manhattan, Central Park, Times Square, etc. We had plenty of time. It can be a bit overwhelming riding bikes with the traffic, be aware, but the many of the streets have wide bike paths. Brooklyn Bike... People often mention bike, bikes, tour, time, bridge, company, great, service, asked, Brooklyn,

Would definitely rent from them again.

I would never book this company again. We booked a Brooklyn Bridge Bike tour this past weekend. We arrived on time and the two men at the counter got our bikes. Literally three minutes into the tour, my daughter (14) kept sliding off the bike seat (a problem that easily could have been avoided had someone on the staff checked to see if her bike was good and fit for her before heading out) The tour guide told us to return the bikes to the shop because we could not catch up (and apparently they could not wait the five minutes, which I kind of understand but not really…. ) Anyhow, we returned the bikes and the man at the counter said that he could not refund us (which was strange that his credit card machine could charge but not refund?) and then he tried to give me SOMEONE ELSE’S driver’s license. Thankfully I am honest and didn’t run off with it but he must have forgotten he handed mine back with my credit card. This is a strange procedure in this day and age that they are keeping customers credit card and license and apparently have zero protocol in place to ensure that they are safeguarding this information, as evidenced by the fact that he looked at the picture of a brunette woman with short hair from MA and handed it to me, a blonde woman with long hair from CT. I certainly did not feel my personal information was secure here. So he told me I had to call the main phone number to get my refund and that’s where the real fun began! I know that this is a New York based business but please. Just TRY to provide some semblance of customer service. When I called (after emailing with no response per their recorded voicemail) the woman who answered the phone started YELLING over me when I asked how to receive my refund saying that refunds are only provided 24 hours in advance, and well. “It’s clearly on their website!!” I told her we would have been happy to take the tour but my daughter was not fitted for her bike properly (not our fault) and were unable to. No mention on her side of helping, making it right, or heaven forbid, an APOLOGY for wasting our time, cab fare etc getting there! ZERO customer service. I was the one who had to ask if I could even take another tour! Her attitude was “too bad so sad you are out $100” I asked if another tour could be found and she said she would reply to my email with options. Shockingly, a WEEK has gone by, I have sent THREE emails and no one has responded. I will have to dispute the charge with my credit card company. I write this to advise you to stay away from this company. Shady people with absolutely NO sense of customer service.

The best bike tour I have done in America. The guide was just great. Very funny and helpful. Was a lot of fun. Did the tour with the New York Pass (so just went without booking)

Last week me and my wife took a bike tour over the bridge with Bob. The tour was brilliant and bob is full of information about the bridge the area and the city in general. We sat and had a coffee where he gave us recommends and answered any questions we had about new york in any respect at all. A very helpful, cheerful and brilliant tour guide. I 100% recommend UB tours we also went back with these guys again for central park tour and ill leave the review of that also brilliant tour for that page. Thanks again Bob!

Absolutely fantastic experience! Booking with this company was extremely easy. Upon arrival we were greeted at the door by two friendly employees who had us sign waivers. They then directed us to the front where we got our bikes. Our tour was very fun. I highly recommend it for a bike rent in New York City

The bikes were in good shape but beware that the shop closes at 1700 not 20h like Google claims. They provide you with a free map. Book online to get a 20% off. The bikes come with one lock per 2 bikes and include no basket. The staff was just okay I would say.

Quality bikes Edit after the owners reply: the fifth star could be earned by providing a bit more information, for example.. in my country its not common to leave your credit card (or passport) at a rental place, and asking why i didnt get s proper answer.. don't get me wrong its a nice place with quick service and good bikes but the communication is the last star

We rented a few single bikes for our family. Both for adults & kids as well. Bakir was really nice, patient, & friendly. We rode across the Brooklyn Bridge & back. We stopped to take some pictures & we had a great time. We took the bikes for an hour at sundown & it was enough timing to go back & forth on the bridge. The bikes were clean & worked well. Each bike comes with a helmet,, basket, & lock. On the way back, one of the bikes wasn't working well, so we got a coupon for a free hour bike rental. This place has amazing service & I would visit it again!

Fun place to rent a bike and take it over the Brooklyn Bridge and back. BE WARNED: do NOT do this during rush hour traffic. This was the worst biking experience ever! People all in your way, almost caused my mother-in-law to wreck several times, which made us all oh so happy by the time we were finished. Traffic is a pain to navigate through to get to the bridge if you're uncomfortable biking inches away from speeding cars. Good luck.

I’m giving a couple stars because they do have the bikes and they’re in working condition, and the location is great for going across the bridge. Most everything else about them sucked, though. They never returned the three calls I made a week in advance to make my reservation; finally they responded to an email. When we arrived, however, the cashier couldn’t find our reservation, and she refused to believe I had one until I showed her the email. Every question I asked her was met with sarcasm and rudeness. Next time I’m just going to give my money to CitiBike and avoid the attitude.

Good store. I rented the bike for the day and it was the best way to see the city. They lent me a helmet and padlock. They had a great availability of bikes and the times I was in the store there were more people.

We lost time just trying to sort ourselves out with the bike seat heights (my bike’s adjustment was broken) and sorting out the bike locks. The lady working their did not help with anything at all. She took the ID and money and that’s all she cared about. Couldn’t even provide advice on the timing it takes to get over the bridge and back. Oh and it’s cash only. Last but not least, the bike chain fell off when I changed gears!

I purchased the sightseeing tour however when I arrived they said the tour was cancelled and they said 'I could still just use the bike for the same time frame'. I inquired on why it was cancelled and they had no reason. WELL....I paid for a tour and ended up using their uncomfortable bike for two hours peddling around on my own. They tried to give me a really crappy bike with split seat and broken pedal but I told them I wanted a better bike. I was a little peeved at their lack of service. The bridge is quite a ride from their rental location so make sure you clearly understand how to get there. I am still glad I got to ride the bridge, even if it was on my own.

The bikes are average and the assistant doesn’t do anything but watch YouTube. Very unhelpful.

We had such a great tour with Chuck as our guide. He made us feel safe and was very knowledgeable. Such a great route, loads of sights and photo opportunities.

This company has the worst customer service. We traveled over 45 minutes to get to the bicycle shop and ended up being unable to rent a bike. While trying to reach the location our taxi driver got lost several times due to the inaccurate directions given by Giselle at the front desk. He tried using the direction his navigation gave him but it kept taking him to the wrong location. We are new to NYC and did not know that the same street is in both Manhattan and Brooklyn. The website didn't clarify enough so we called the company. After calling the first time, Giselle told our driver they were located in Brooklyn and when we asked for any landmarks close by she said "I just gave you the address that's all you need" and hung up. After driving around for another 20 minutes he still couldn't find it. He called back and asked her once again where exactly in NYC they were located and If there were any landmarks nearby and she responded " I don't know I gave you the address maybe it is Manhattan that's all I know " and hung up once again. Luckily the taxicab driver was able to identify her phone had a Manhattan area code and figured out on his own how to get there. After wasting over an hour in commute time, we finally arrived to the shop. Giselle was at the desk and didn't greet us or even look up from the YouTube video she was watching. We told her we just called her to find directions and would like to rent bikes and she just looked at us. Finally, we asked if she worked there and she said "no I don't work here" yet she's the only one sitting behind the desk. At this point we really didn't even want to give the company business but traveled so far to ride the bikes so we asked her if we can please just start a reservation. She said "no you can't rent any bikes sorry" after asking her why she said "everything is booked for the weekend" There were at least 50 bikes in the shop at the time and no one else walking in and out of the store. There was one other employee outside the store that noticed her unprofessionalism and tried to leave the situation so he wasn't any help either. Finally, we gave up dealing with the most unqualified employee we've ever met and decided to do a walking tour instead. I strongly urge tourists to look elsewhere as this place is evidently ran poorly and it is not the kind of company you would want your credit card information held at. There are plenty of other options in NYC that will gladly take your business !

I rented a hybrid bike for the day and had a great experience. Phone support for making advanced reservation was excellent, even with a couple of changes as weather changed. Support at the shop was great and the bike worked fine. Pay attention to the 24 hour advance change/cancellation policy for full refunds.
