Came to New York for a few days and wanted to do a few sights. Unfortunately, it was a rainy weekend and my boat tour with another company was rained out the day before. I contacted NY Media Boat the following day since it cleared. They didn't have a scheduled tour, but created a schedule just for me to book. That was amazing customer service! I had a small group, so we used the small Coast Guard boat which was perfect as it was a very personal experience. Capt. Eric did a great job. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. He never rushed us and allowed us to take as many pictures we wanted. He constantly was adjusting the boat for the perfect picture opportunities. It was the 30 minute tour, but was plenty of time to see the Brooklyn Bridge, Governors Island, Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island. I previously did a helicopter tour, but the boat tour allows you to be much closer with better photo opportunities. Capt. Eric and whoever was managing the schedules were both amazing. Next time I'll book a longer tour when I have more time. With the rain, I was short on time, but so glad I at least did the 30 min tour. Great fun and customer service.

Very fun adventure for our family (we came with 3 adults and 3 teenagers). And pictures from the water were gorgeous! Highly recommend!

Great Tour! We were lucky to be able to stand in front of the boat the most of the journey and got closer to lady liberty than expected. Would definitely do again! One note if you want to talk to friends or whoever during the tour this might not be the one for you. When we spoke to each other we got many dirty looks for speaking but we didn’t care and wanted to enjoy the ride.

This definitely was an awesome experience! Private Tour is the way to go. Great photo opportunities. They are very knowledgeable in their surroundings and very kid friendly!!! We have already told our friends and family, that if they come to NYC to visit, this is the 1st thing they should do.

This has to be one of the best experiences of my trip to New York. Since it was very busy and at least 2 hours waiting to get on a ferry too liberty Island, I decided to look for a different way to get close to the statue of liberty. The hotel where we stayed told us about the media boat and how we could book it. Bjorn (the captian of the media boat) was a very good guide and took us to the most iconic sights of New York. On this 30 minute boat trip we saw the Brooklyn bridge, staten island and ofcourse lady liberty. I think there is no better way to see these places than from a boat. At every location Bjorn stopped the boat for us to take pictures and to tell us a historical fact about the location.

Best experience ever! Sean was fun and we learned so much about the city and the monuments. At first I was a bit intimidated but turned out to be exhilarating and fun! I recommend to everyone young and old. My mom and daughter loved it 😃. Thanks Sean.

Honestly, I was a bit hesitant to spend $99/person for this boat tour....within minutes I looked at my husband smiling ear to ear and screamed into the wind; "Worth it! Best decision of the trip yet!!" So much fun packed into 60 minutes--including a Great Captain (wish I was better at names--big Bengal fan so my hubby and he hit it off)! He knew when to ramp up the wave jumping and water fun, was incredibly informative at the stops, and took us closer to Everything than we would have gotten on one of the bigger tours--the whole package!! For us, we had basically one day to try to fit in some sightseeing for our first trip to NYC to drop off our daughter--so spending a bit more than some other 1 hour options well paid for itself in the return on investment perspective. From the first point of contact, everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful--Highly recommend!

It is a very exciting experience! It is a small boat and very safe, you will have a good time on it. The boat environment is cozy and very friendly. Our tour guide, Erik, was very polite, friendly, and helpful. The entire experience is worth the money. It takes you to Hudson River and East River as well as Statue of liberty and Government island. Since the boat is small and there are a few people, it feels like a VIP.

This is my 2nd cruise with New York Media Boats and this time my family was able to join. It was amazing, better than I remembered the first time. The owner, Bjorn was on had to greet us and answered a ton of questions about New York and his boat tours. Eric, was our captain and gave us a very informative and entertaining cruise on the waterfront. I can not stress how much I would recommend this tour over any other you might be thinking of. The views from the water are amazing, fun, comfortable and the entire experience was professional. The entire family loved it. Well worth every penny. Going to book a longer Private tour next time!

What a fantastic time! My friends and I booked this tour and it started the day off perfectly. We were originally booked on Friday but were able to switch it to Saturday due to weather. The staff were so friendly and kind and the experience itself was so much fun. We were laughing so hard and had the most amazing time. We loved stopping at iconic spots and hearing the history the guide spoke about and took some great pictures and videos. I would highly recommend doing this tour I will definitely do it again. This time we did the 30 minute tour, next time I would do 60 mins for an even longer burst of fun to the day. Thanks so much for a memorable and fun time!!

This is a must-do!!! Whether you're visiting NY or you live there, this boat ride is so fun! Very unique perspective on the NY skyline, Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Governor's Island, Battery Park, and so much more...The staff is also amazing! Highly recommend you give this a try!

Best way to see the skyline off New York. With a few others, no mass tourism. Our captain Sherry was very nice!

We had the best time on our Media Boat tour. Our 8 year old son LOVED the boat and the captain not only gave him lots of historical information on what he was seeing but also explained all about the boat. Highly suggest getting out on the water to see NYC!

My family took a tour with Media Boat Tours on our recent trip to New York City. This was by far the highlight of our trip! It was one of the coolest things I have ever done. Shawn was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and also patient with my kids. Our original date had bad weather and they easily scheduled us for the next day so we didn’t miss out. I will recommend Media Boat Tours to anyone I know traveling to the city.

A bucket list experience. Great fun and a perfect way to see the sights up close and personal! Three of us went out in the Defender - worth it - boys loved hooning along the Hudson

Best way to see the city that never sleeps, by water!! It's certainly a speed boat, as advertised. This isn't a cruise ship! Highly recommend.

THE MOST FUN part of our NYC trip! We really enjoyed Shawn taking us out on the Media Boat Tour. We saw a lot more than I thought we were going to see, even some parts of New Jersey, right along the city line. It was the best part of our trip, by far! Highly recommend doing this.

What a great way to see the city! Well run tours with funny and thorough commentary - as a long time NYC resident my new favorite way to show visitors the sites. Kids love the surf and speed, adults love the ease of hitting all the highlights.

A great 90 min ride. Kids 12-14 yrs old loved it. We all got off with a huge grins on our faces. Plenty of speed and bounces on the waves and we got to see loads of sights from a different angle. Captain Pat was really informative and relaxed. Thx.

We did the media boat tours for a team event and had an amazing time! (This was actually our second time coming back we had remembered it so fondly). The boat team was super responsive during the planning process and super flexible to make sure we could make the time slot we wanted work - even pulling out an extra boat and driver to make it happen. The tour was so fun - I think everyone was laughing or smiling the whole time. We zipped all over the Hudson and onto the East River, seeing NYC from a perspective many had not seen before and the guides are super knowledgeable and share so many facts you've never heard about NYC. Great for visitors and NYCers alike! Would HIGHLY recommend for team/company events or even to do with friends. 10/10 would recommend!! I doubt this will be my last time!

This ride was the best part of my trip! Joel was a great tour guide. I learned a lot of informative information. Get the 90 min ride. High recommend this to everyone who never been to New York before!! It was definitely worth the walk to get there!! My boyfriend enjoyed himself for his birthday! We got so close to lady liberty and got awesome pics!

Fantstic way to experience New York City! The boat is awesome! Fast but smooth and in control! Captain Joel was experienced, professional and informative! My nephew and I had so much fun!

I would highly recommend this company. I knew the ride would be fun, but it exceeded my expectations. I’m a local and it was amazing to experience NY in this new way. There was a smile plastered on my (and my family’s) face the whole time. They were incredibly accommodating to my kids, ages 3 and 6, which I really appreciated. Worth every penny :-).

Captain Joel was excellent, very professional, is an expert Captain, he's very humble and very informative. Captain Joel goes out of his way to make sure everyone on board are comfortable. If you need more time to view a site he would keep the boat stationary until you tell him that he can move. Some sights may hold sentimental value for some folks. Which is understandable. Captain Joel works at the service of the passengers on board. He also takes the time to answer any questions that you may have. It was extremely interesting to see Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton dueling site at Weehawken, New Jersey during the tour. I've just learned that Alexander Hamilton body is buried at Trinity churchyard cemetery in Manhattan. As a native New Yorker I highly recommend this speedboat tour. Tell them Reggie sent you

We bought our tickets a couple weeks ago but when we got to NYC, the weather forecast was for rain on and off over the next few days. I started getting texts from a real person -- letting me know they were watching the weather reports too and if we wanted to move our time or even day of the week -- we could to avoid the rain. Every day, up until we arrived to get on the boat, I got a text with an updated weather report and a suggestion on how we might modify our reservation so we didn't miss out on the boat ride. Incredible customer service and support. That continued even after we were on the boat. The boat ride itself was spectacular. The boat only holds 6 people so everyone has an amazing view and the captain (Eric was ours) was fantastic. We got incredibly close to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, among many other sites. But even just zipping along (the boat goes fast!) was a blast. Couldn't recommend this experience more!

The NY Media Boat has become a staple of my trip to NYC every year. For young and middle-aged people, it's a good mix of sightseeing and thrill. I like how you as a customer really feel valued and considered on the small boat of 12, versus a large boat where you're just another customer in line. This is the best boat in NYC, and the guys who run this small business greatly deserve the support they need to keep it going.

Great tour. Take you to all the stops. Get the best pictures of some of the buildings in New York that you can't get while you're out on the street Great Great guy! Give you fantastic information about the things you're seeing and a lot of fun in the boat it gos super fast. Get great views of the bridges, the statue just a fantastic tour

The tour I experienced was amazing! I recently to a vacation to NYC to visit a friend an we were a little hesitant to try the tour at first (not a huge fan of boats or water). However, our tour guide Eric reassured us that we had nothing to worry about and we would absolutely safe. Sure enough, he was right and we had a great time looking at the cityscapes and the other sights of NYC! We got a bunch of pictures and it was probably one of my favorite activities during my vacation. Would definitely recommend this tour for anyone, and would rate it 10/10!

This is way better than any other boat tour. It's small up close personal all questions are answered tour guides are attentive and you're able to see things in ways that you wouldn't ever any other way. Our guide (Sean?) Was except. We rebooked the same tour again for next month when the family comes to town.

We stumbled upon New York Media Boat tours just heading to the Battery Park walkway from the 9/11 memorial and I am so glad we did! We've been to NYC plenty of times but this was the 1st visit for some of our group and we were only in the city for a day. This tour had us see so much and from a vantage point I've never seen the city! We saw so many of the sights that others spend days and and even more money attempting to see but this 90-minute tour had it all! (Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Brooklyn Bridge, great shots of the GW Bridge, midtown and downtown skylines, Brooklyn, the High Line and other new elements of the skyline, etc.) We were closer than any other big harbor tour and with views you can't get when buried in the city on a bus or walking tour. Plus you also feel like it's private because of the small size of the speedboat. The information shared is historical and full of cool facts and because of the small group size, you can ask questions. Eric, our captain/guide, was so knowledgeable, funny, friendly, and even took great photos of our group at many of the landmarks. If you're asking, the risk of getting wet is low, the boat is designed to push water away. We never got wet which was a plus since we had a Broadway show later. 😉 The speed was awesome, safe, and comfortable while zipping around the harbor, Hudson, and East rivers. This tour is highly recommended! 👍👍 10 out of 10! Choose them for the best photos, adventure experience, and views of the NYC skyline and landmarks. The value is insane for everything you get to see and learn and, again, some of the best views and photos I've had of the NYC skyline out of all my visits. Thanks Eric and NYMB for this great spur of the moment experience!

One of the highlights of our week in New York. A really good tour, showing us all the sights we wanted to see, informative and most of all (with 3 teenagers) a lot of fun! Good value for money and would definitely recommend

Great experience overall. The captain was knowledgeable and entertaining. The boat itself was fun to ride and the views were spectacular. I will definitely be going out again the next time I’m in NYC

My best friend and I booked this tour last minute. We really wanted to go on a boat ride that was both a speedboat as well as some sightseeing. This was a perfect combination of both. Although it was a really hot day, the breeze from the boat made it very comfortable and relaxing. Our captain, Eric, was fantastic. He was very accommodating and knowledgeable. I 100% recommend this boat tour to anyone whether you’re a native New Yorker or visiting for the first time. You will thoroughly enjoy this.

It was such a wonderful experience, worth every penny. Captain Shawn is great and professional. I don't know who is the owner but with that mindset they will grow big. Thank you guys also for the short history class.
