We did the NY TV and movie tour. The tour was great! The tour guide was hilarious and provided lots of interesting information. We stopped at a few of the locations. Got some great pictures. In all this was a great experience that we would do again next time we come to New York.

Sadly we had a horrible experience on the tour. I have actually taken this tour 5 other times over the last 18 years and they have been great! They are normally on an awesome tour bus with AC and a great tour guide on a mic and TV screens to watch cool clips and trivia and of course the huge windows of a bus so you can see all the things! Well this time they rescheduled us last minute and then stuck us on a van, a van sitting 4 across. No one could see anything, we could not hear the tour guide because of the huge fan at the back of the van. It was hot, there were no TVs. It was soooo bad. It was literally a van. We actually left the tour after the first stop cause it was so bad. Sad for my kids and their special trip, but they were so confused why I would book such a bad tour. They punished us because the tour did not sell enough tickets. You should always get the bus!

We were in New York a few days and as a SATC fan, my one request was to do the SATC tour. My girlfriend purchased the Sex and the City Hotspots Tour before our visit. Lou was absolutely fabulous and so darn cute, she made the tour so fun! The bus was really nice and clean and all the stops brought all the memories of the show back, even thought I've watched the series multiple times. I highly recommend the tour on your next trip to NY!

We made the Central Park TV & Movie Sites Walking Tour with Laura and she was a pleasure to deal with. She was a big fan of all series and movies filmed in Central Park (especially Enchanted) and she enhanced the tour with stills of them on her iPad (especially Enchanted) :D She was very patient with us and made this tour really memorable. Thank you!!

My husband and I did the Central Park TV & Movie tour, and our guide was Hanna. We were blown away with how breathtaking the park really is. So incredibly beautiful. The tour lasted about 1.5 hours and Hanna did a fantastic job making sure the tour group of 16 could all hear, participate and enjoy. There was always time for photos and we had a brief break in the middle for snacks and restrooms. I would definitely consider another tour with this company next time we visit NYC.

We enjoyed the walk with Cathérine. She passionately makes connections with the films and has a sense of humor. The snow made it extra magical. In short, a guide with passion and experience, definitely recommended!

Great movie tour with Chris. I enjoyed seeing the sites with a little twist of movie locations & things go watch out for around the city. Several opportunities to get off the bus and take photos throughout the tour. Driver (I believe his name was John) was also great.

Well, visiting the city, I had a wonderful tour with my friend who lives in New Jersey. We were coming to New York just for the day and we thought it’d be fun to do a tour where movies and TV shows were shot. Despite the rain we had a very good time and Benji was a great tour guide and Johnny was a wonderful driver throughout the city. The only thing I think that should be requested is if it is raining to have towels on board to wipe down the outside of the windows in order for people to see better instead of them Using their coats to wipe down the windows and try to defrost with air conditioning. Other than that it was a very informational and fun tour in a great way to save the city. I highly recommend this tour.

GREAT tour. 5⭐️ - booked the NYC TV and Movie Bus Tour Dec 1, 2023 for my husband, teen and 10 year old daughters while on a short trip to NYC. Our tour guide (Benji 💕) and bus driver (John 😘) were fantastic. The bus is very comfortable, clean and windows are very large to be able to easily see out both sides, regardless of where you are sitting. Benji asked the group for any special interests and was able to point out numerous points of interest along the way as well as provide a wealth of history relating to TV/Movies and NYC. It was raining at one point and he was happy to stand in rain and take pictures for all of us. The traffic was a bit hard to predict (welcome to NYC!) but they checked with entire group to ensure no one had any conflicts. My teen, hubby and I were impressed by the history, my 10 year old was happy to look around and see the sites. Recommend for anyone looking to see more of the city with a safe (thanks John!), comfortable ride with an extremely well informed and personable tour guide (thanks Benji!!). 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had an amazing time on the Sopranos official tour led by Stephen. His expertise and passion for the show made the experience enjoyable for both casual viewers and serious fans. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and informative tour.

Laura is an exceptional guide, the Central Park TV & Movie sites tour was informational and brought back several memories for all the family. Laura is funny and had us captured throughout. Highly recommend the tour and ask for guide Laura!!

We did the SATC tour with Lou as our guide. She was VERY engaging, fun, and energetic! Wether you're a fan of the show, or just looking for a fun tour of many NYC neighborhoods, I would highly recommend this tour :)

Our tour guide was Benji. We did the Central Park TV and Movie Tour that lasted about and hour and a half. I must say that Benji was warm and friendly with an immense breadth of knowledge about the park and all the movies and TV shows associated with it. The weather was lovely and warm which made for some great photo opportunities. Booking the tour was easy using our New York Pass (well worth the money). Communication via email was great keeping us informed about the time date and meeting point. Thanks for a great time.

I wasn’t going to write a review but I kept getting texts to review the tour. I’d give it a 2.5 out of 5. We took the Movies and TV Shows tour which stopped at 3 places: Washington Square Park, Ghostbusters fire station, and the Friends apartment building. There were a few movie n show facts. However, they came late because the tour guide Daniel kept talking about himself and how many times he auditioned for this or that then he’d be like “we passed Macys a couple blocks back. If you saw it, that’s where Elf was filmed”. We took a pedicab around Central Park the next day n learned so much more about movies n tv shows with them. I also found it ironic that we were in a Flix bus. It was not the bus pictured online with the On Location Tours sign nor the tv screens inside. It was a rainy day and the bus driver wouldn’t let us on the bus as 2 of the 4 of us was getting wet outside because he needed to tell us his rule. The rule was that there were no rules. Not a funny joke and very inconsiderate because we were getting rained on while he played his joke. Anyway, I took this tour when I first visited NYC back in 2009 and it was worlds better than what we experienced this time around =(

Only able to capture a few pics along the On LocationTour. It was a bus tour, along NYC streets. BTW: If you're traveling to the city, squeeze this one into itinerary, so much fun. Chris is incredibly entertaining, providing lots of insight into filming in NYC, personal vignettes, and not such bad dad jokes!

Chris was our tour guide and he was wonderful. He kept the energy high, and his suggestion of Ellen’s Stardust Diner allowed us the best meal on our trip. Thank you!

One of the Best enthusiastically entertaining tour I’ve experienced so far in NYC! Cathrine is doing everything right! Her sweet spirit & knowledge of all the different places in Central Park made for a fabulous tour.

Amazing tour with Benji. We couldn't of asked for a better tour guide. He knew a little bit about every movie and series and gave some good advice and tips about NYC itself. I would recommend this to anyone. We stopped at three different places to get out and walk around (and he pointed out bathrooms if we needed it). The walks were very short and easy and he made sure we knew we could wait on the bus if we wanted to. We were in a very large charter bus and paid the extra for the better seats. We got the very front seats so we found it worth while.

It was a great experience. We’ve been to New York before, but our daughter wanted to see New York at Christmas time. Benji was awesome, he is very entertaining, knowledgeable and great with people. Felix was great, he got us around the city safely. New York drivers 😬. Definitely recommend

Great tour although it wasn't what I expected with holiday themed movies as the focal point. You will definitely learn more about the city and stop at some of the most sought out locations. Great customer service from driver and tour guide. Appropriate length of time for stops and comfortable accommodations. Would use this company again.

We loved the private Sex and the City tour with Melissa and the true New York driver Keith. Melissa is passionate about the show and the characters so that was great. She pointed out so many different spots and what episode they referenced. Loved that. I am going to have to watch all the episodes again after this tour. So fun going to Steve’s bar at the end as well. (I may have drank too many awesome cosmos though!). I would highly recommend this tour. Even my son and my daughters boyfriend enjoyed it!

The tour was fantastic. Lou was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging the entire tour. Her energy and general approachability and friendliness made the tour all that much better. Went with my partner, who is the fan, and enjoyed it immensely even though I’m not so much a fan of the show. Highly recommend.

Our tour was fantastic! Our tour guide, Roseanne was fun and very knowledgeable! It was great to be with a true native that knew the area so well, as well as the industry and heritage! The driver Tony, was safe and friendly! I’ll do this again, if and when I get back to NY! Thanks for a great time.

On Location Tours failed to provide the tour they sold my group and I. A representative called the day before to see if we could change our tour time from 2pm to 10am. That was not something we were able to swing last minute with our packed itinerary. I was told she would check on whether or not they could stick with the purchased time and would let me know. The next day I texted to reconfirm with the rep about the tour. Five minutes later I received a separate text confirming the tour with the arrival instructions etc. We went to the tour spot and no guide ever showed. Now it turns out I missed a VM the night before from the rep saying they would not be able to give the tour time they sold us. It came in while I was in transit and I'll take the hit for that. The confirmation text was apparently automated. None the less, we were left at the meeting place empty handed with unclear communication. I was told we would be refunded, however here we are several weeks later and I'm having to follow up with them to do the right thing. I don't know how it's right to sell a tour time you have no intent on operating. It was very shady that it seemed they would consolidate their bookings into more efficient times for them, despite what the customer bought and planned for. Big Buyer Beware!

I was super excited to book this tour for my friend's 30th birthday. We were informed a day before that our tour would not run because we were the only group that booked for the day. Although we were offered other tours or another tour the next week, but we would have to see if the other group would switch times with us, it didn't work with our party or what we wanted. I was extremely disappointed, especially, given the price of the tour and the money we spent for this booking. This was supposed to be a special day and we were completely let down. I would not book with this group again. Given the price of the booking, I don't understand why this was an issue.

I was in New York for 10 days, and as a massive Sex and the City I just had to visit the places where Carrie and co lived and hung out. And going with On Location Tours to hang out where Carrie sipped on cosmopolitan i was not disappointed. Our tour guide Melissa was the absolute BEST and for me, made the tour. Her wit and New York charm were second to none and her personality lit the bus with laughter as we ventured through the city. This woman's Sex and the City knowledge is incredible and I felt like i was in the presence of a true expert. I am now a fan of her Sex and the City podcast. Thank you Melissa and On Location Tours for making my first time in America and in New York a memorable one.

Tour was awesome! Highly recommend it especially if you can get Elyse for your tour guide! She was amazing! She was so fun, upbeat and a comedian! She kept me laughing and entertained the whole time! She really knew her stuff so we got to find out all the extra fun behind the scenes fun facts! If you’re in New York and love sex and the city this has your name written all over it!

This walking tour was great. Our guide, George, was so funny and knowledgeable and made the tour a must see experience. You should be prepared for quite a hike that includes steps but it covers so many familiar sites seen in movies and television. Best tour I’ve taken. Hope you luck out and get George!

Love how they incorporate movies into the tour so it is more entertaining while driving around the city. One of the people with us had never seen the show and even she enjoyed the tour! Great staff as well!!

A decent tour. Not sure if it's worth $60 per person. We used it with the Go Pass. Tour bus was nice and had AC. Tour guide was nice and knowledgeable. Lasted about an hour and a half.

  • 5/5 tchanrosewood 2 years ago on Google
Tour had whole bunch of information about locations and the movies and tv series that used them. The walking tour was almost two hours (long enough) with a little break for washroom or pictures. It covered the southern 1/3 of the park. We started near Plaza hotel that Trump used to own and did a cameo on Home Alone 2.

Wonderful tour! Our Marvelous Mrs. Maisel tour guide, Stephanie, was fun, knowledgeable and very sweet. She and our driver, Keith, we’re both wonderful! Would take another tour with this tour company again. They were very communicative and available.

We took Mrs. Maisel’s Marvelous Tour on May 4. Stephanie was a delight. The 1957 Chevy was admired by everyone we encountered. So fun to get in depth info on the show and locations!

My experience with On Location Tours was the AMAZING! I would highly recommend them ti anyone who is a curious local or an incoming tourist. The tour guide was well informed, personable, and fun. And the coordinators are very accommodating and organized. I had the best experience with them. For reference - I did the NY TV Films/Movies tour. Thank you Dejana and Max for being the crème de la crème (best of the best)!!!

The tour was amazing and doubled as a historical tour of New York. Katherine was the best tour guide, dressed to the nines and had intimate details from the set of Maisel due to her experience working on set. She was patient with us and let us linger in every spot in order to fully immerse ourselves in the experience. She even gave me great thrift store recommendations (which I went to after and bought a large bag of cute clothes). 10/10 recommend going and you’ll be lucky to get Katherine !
