Delicious Iranian food. Very clean and friendly service. The place is small and cozy, so if you plan on bringing a big group, it's best you call ahead and reserve a table. I believe we have tried literally everything on the menu in just the two times I've visited (we were a sizable group and ordered different things to try). The food is consistently delicious, and the meats always cooked to tender perfection. I also really love the pickles!!

The kubideh kebab was so good. I think it is the best Persian kebab in NYC. The Gheimeh stew was delicious, maybe frozen before, but the taste was so traditional. Prices are so affordable. Personal behaviour was friendly.

This is $26. Half rotten tomato and 6 cubes of meat and some rice. This place has gone down in quality and quantity. Just as other customers have mentioned below, do not order takeout from Kabob on the Cliff, the portions are half the size and the meat is hard to chew and doesn’t taste good at all. I will never go to this place again.

This place is a little gem in Cliffside Park that offer authentic Persian food. Decor is nice and clean and tables are well setup. Service is friendly, and the food is amazing. Perfect combo and a must visit if you have a craving for kababs.

The falafel with rice was good although bit dry. Got the shallot yogurt condiment to add moisture. Must have ice cream with saffron and pista cardamom. Great service and hygiene. The prices were fair for the offering.

When I arrived to pick up the food. I was told food would be ready in 10 Minutes. 15 Minutes later I arrived once again and was told 5 more minutes.. I was there for about 15 more minutes waiting while the workers were conversing while the food was ready waiting to be packed. Place was dead on top of that. They don’t care about customers times.

Terrible customer service. Take out service The lady there is so unfriendly, we bought $ 75 food, and were treated like we were bothering. We asked to pack in two different bags, she rolled her eyes. The whole tine seems she wanted us out -hardly an smile, no conversation. Very unpleasant experience. We bought the food just because we were traveling from DC and we got deceived by the good reviews. Going from DC we are used to excellent customer service. It was really bad experience the whole interaction for someone coming to spend money in your business.. I would never go back there.

Food was tasty but quantity is very little. Make sure to order 4 combo if you are two persons. The staff says combo is good for two people but it is barely enough for one person. Also the food box didn’t contain all what is shown on the picture or what is promised. Staff was good and friendly, again food quantity is not worth the price.

Best Persian restaurant in Hudson county. Loved their Soltani, Koobideh, and Baghali Polo with lamb shank

I tried this restaurant during my visit to New York. I was very lucky that the restaurant is only six minutes drive it’s a cozy small restaurant staff is very welcoming and the food is a top-notch Persian cuisine. Would highly recommend it if you’re looking for some fine Persian food.

⚠️🚨DO NOT ORDER TO GO🚨⚠️ I ordered 3 lamb kabobs with rice and salad to go, and the portions were incredibly small. I have eaten here with my family several times before, and they have always given each of us two kabobs each, along with a good amount of rice. However, this time, it seems that because we all ordered the same thing, they decided to give us each only 1 kabob, which was considerably smaller at that. Additionally, they gave us very little rice, and charged the exact same price. I paid 86 dollars for my order, and got ripped off. When I tried contacting the restaurant, they refused to do anything to compensate, even though I explained my situation. (Also side note don’t get the salad, it’s not very good it basically consists of a bowl of onions with some spices)

I ordered the Gyro Platter w/extra bread for pick up and the food was hot and ready when I arrived. The platter was a VERY generous portion - at least 5 strips of beef, well seasoned and with rice and 1 roasted tomato (I would’ve loved 2 because it was a nice balance in for the texture of the meal). The bread was warm and soft and went really well with the gyro meat. It’s a modest-sized neighborhood restaurant so the atmosphere is perfect for that setting. Will definitely order again when I’m next in town.

We were food poisoned after getting take out from this place. One person landed in the ER. 4 other people including myself fell severely ill. This was a get together for my daughter’s birthday and persian new year and we all spent it vomiting out guts out. Everything totally ruined. I will be in touch with the health department. We have been customers for years and this is absolutely unacceptable

Perfect Iranian food. We ordered catering from Kabab on the cliff for the first time and it was just EXCELLENT. Food quality and portions were great! Presentation was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant

It’s a very nice place, they made very good food and bbq. Please make sure you try the saffron ice cream. Gheime is great there. I really like their sour Cherry rice but beware as they serve it sweet, However for Kobideh, they are doing a good job. The street parking is the issue. It isn’t super bad tho. Within two blocks you should be able to find sth. Make sure you have coins for it. 25 cents is 30 minutes. They have super friendly staffs and very nice Legos persian decor inside.

Do Not Go There! The waiter is very rude and will ruin your day!! Went there on June 28 at 11 AM. Waited for a little till the waiter came out and give me an attitude for not reason. Then told me that there is no dine in till 1 PM which is not mentioned any where. Hated the place and treatment and went away without ordering my food.

I was there yesterday for the first time. The waitress took about 30 mins to give us the menu, but quickly gave the Asian family that walked in after us by 10 mins. The second issue I had was her friendliness to some costumers and not towards my family. The appetizer came 5 mins before the entree and the other appetizer I ordered never came out (maybe they ran out but she didn’t tell us). We asked for drinks, never got them and we were halfway into our main course, so my husband got up and grabbed them from the fridge. As for the food, it was okay. Most likely we will not be going back.

Great food, authentic Persian flavor. Great quality low key environment and very friendly staff. We have visited 4 times since we discovered the place 10 days ago!! Highly recommend.

I had been craving Persian food since moving from California and didn't want to go into the city or cook it this time. Honestly it was the kabobs I was craving and Kabob on the Cliff was the answer. A small spot just across the river in NJ with a menu full of staple Persian dishes I was missing. And unlike a spot in the city they actually had tadigh on the menu! A pleasant surprise that made me feel like I was in my Aunt's kitchen. Our hostess/waitress was sweet and patient. We were given Barbari bread once we sat down. The Soltani and Bahktiari were savory and the basmati rice was light and fluffy. I'm looking forward to making this my go-to place for kabobs and dishes I want but don't want to make LOL Well worth the drive.

Food is ok, but there are too many charges for little things. What made me give them two stars is that they charge extra for using a credit card

Best Afghan food in palisades. Their mix grill is to drool for. Hot sauce lovers won’t go anywhere else. Must try place.

I have been to Kabob on the Cliff twice in different branches. The food tastes usually like an authentic Persian food. I ordered Ash-e-Reshte and Shishlik the last time I was there. The two missing stars are for the price and the service! This dish is over priced in my opinion, although it tasted really good. The other thing is they don’t serve TAP WATER when you are waiting for your order! We asked several times for tap water, but it seems they are not wiling to serve water and they want you to order some drinks that they can charge you on!

The lady taking the orders was rude to us because we did not pay the tip enough for her, and she threw the money on the table and said angrily, “Take it, I don’t want it.” The food is good, but I will not come back again after what happened.

Only recommended when all other Persian restaurants are closed. Food quality and price not good.
