We had passed by THEP Thai Restaurant many times and were impressed with their brilliant & elegant decor. We finally got a chance to dine there. Their safety procedures were set up properly for both indoor & outdoor seating. The options on the menu which is accessible by scanning QR code are in a great variety and we got a THEP Platter, Tom Kha Soup (L) & Curry Noodle to share. The portion was a little small, but the taste was amazingly great. Our favorites were the fried dumplings from the platter, which has juicy filling with crispy layer and the flavorful soup. We also had their complimentary Thai tea from writing reviews on Yelp and it’s sweet but satisfying.

Overall their food expressed me a lot. I like the way they mix the spices and ingredients. However, things to be improved. I would like to visit again and hopefully find my favorite. The duck and red curry (seasonal) was delicious. The whole dish was on the sweet side since they used fruit in the sauce. However, the rice came with it was cold. The noodle, Khao Soi, we ordered, was flavorful as well. But the noodles in it was too soft and soggy. Last, Thai tea was too watery and too sweet which was weird.

Good Thai food, fair New York City prices. The outdoor dining ambiance is beautiful, with greenery everywhere. The drinks we got were beautiful as well! Service was fast although our waitress seemed to be rushing us a bit - it’s a popular place so I think they are trying to move tables quickly. Overall, the food was good and the experience was positive.

Fresh and tasty Thai food can be savored at this Upper East restaurant. Traditional specialties such as Crispy Spring Roll, Crab Rangoon, Chicken Pad Thai or Beef Pad See Eiw are recommended. The ambience was warm and cozy, however, the high noise inside the dining room made it difficult to enjoy our meal.

Great discovery in the upper east side! Really great taste and price. The atmosphere is wonderful and the food is delicious! We had different starters and different types of curry. Each dish was different in flavor and beautifully presented. For dessert they only have pineapple and coconut ice cream. It would be great if they offered more dessert options! Definitely coming back

THEP Thai was okay, not upto the hype! The basil fried rice was pretty decent, but cashew king was a bit dry! The food here is on a milder side if you are used to hot Thai food but we got the hot sauce on the side! The cocktail was pretty good as well!

Her food is good here… I liked the Tom Yum soup, the best and my daughter likes the Thai iced tea. The dumplings and spring rolls were pretty good as well… but not standouts.

This restaurant is fabulous. It looks gorgeous and features interesting displays of food. Any with many restaurants, the menus are online and you need a QR code to access. I was very intrigued and fascinating by how pretty the food was. I soon realized, it was mostly novelty. They purple dumplings had little stuffing and tasted mostly of dough. I also got the chicken wings and they were just okay without the dipping sauce. I got the crab dish and that was fabulous. We tried to order that without the egg for our party but they said that there were no substitutions to the menu allowed. I found that rule to be not only unconventional but slightly disastrous. There also were many veggie options but we did order the chive pancake and that was good. Overall, very fancy, exotic decor and plating but the food is just okay and the menu is limited.

Very delicious dishes and authentic! Used to go to Up Thai next door and decided to try this one because of the high rating. Did it not disappoint. Everything we ordered were on point and very flavorful. Especially liked the lemongrass grilled fish. Highly recommend!

The atmosphere was very inviting and nice dim lighting inside. Kind of loud from lots of talking guests, but obviously expected at a busy restaurant. the staff was so friendly and they check on you a lot. The food came quick. Very delicious food. I loved the tom kha soup! I also got the crab fried rice but would recommend that the chef does not mix the egg with the crab because then the crab loses its flavor and pretty much just tastes like egg. :/ Otherwise it was very good. I don't think it was worth the 30$ with the quantity of crab given. My friend got the green curry and she loved it too.

Ambiance is very nice. We got a tiny table for 4 people where we literally struggled to keep our all dishes in the order. Literally we were squeezing ourselves. I have been in many Thai restaurants of different ratings. Here food is on below average scale. Red curry supposed to be a easiest dish but they make it bland. Price is on higher side and the quantity is okay. The restaurant has a clean restroom.

Wonderful ambience despite being small. They do offer outside seating. Food was excellent and I had the Shrimp Pineapple Fried Rice. It was so good. They offer happy hour from Mon-Fri. Drinks are good as well. A good place to come after work, a date night, even with family. If you love Thai food check this place out. Good selection from the appetizers to the main courses. They do walk ins so no need to reserve.

Wow. Wow. Wow. This place was magical. Their Pad Thai is, without question, the best I’ve had so far in NYC. It was perfectly spicy, tangy, and sweet. My best friend got the red curry which she loved. The fresh rolls were also delicious and incredibly refreshing! They were the perfect pick-me-up for this summer’s heat. Their customer service was just as excellent as their food. The staff is sweet and helpful. I can’t wait to come back! :)

Service and stuff is excellent. Fried Brinzini was delicious. TomYum soup tasted good, BUT had almost Nothing in it, except couple of pieces of mushrooms and a shrimp. It must include some traditional greens or veggies. Ordered a watermelon/ pineapple sprinkled w dry fish as a starter - wasn't good to my taste. It tastes more as a desert then a starter..place was pretty crowded, but comfortable enough. Thus, score it 4 overall

I absolutely adore this place. The service was amazing and the food. WOW. I am Thai and THEP Thai made me feel like home. I love the vibe, I love how they present the food. Crab fried rice is to die for. And although the taste is not as spicy as what it’s like back home, it tastes perfect in a more international setting. I will always visit this place every time I go to NYC.

This is such a cute and fun spot. The decor is really nice and elevated. The service is very prompt and and helpful. We really loved the food. We tried various appetizers and curry and of course we had to try the pad thai. We really enjoyed the red curry. It had tons of flavor and the perfect amount of spice without being too overwhelming. Also their Thai tea is so perfect, I could drink a gallon of it.

Walking down 2nd Ave there are a plethora of places to dine in, and ample outdoor seating for many of these places. But this one stands out for its beautiful decor inside and outside alike. Delicious Thai is food being made here and the plates come in looking so appetizing you are ready to lick it clean. Lovely and attentive service, not a long wait for the food either. Make sure to stop on in and give this place a try, you won’t regret it.

Literally, my favorite Thai place! The people are friendly, the space is clean - I love their aesthetic! Each dish presentation is phenomenal, I always have to get multiple drinks/entrees because I simply cannot choose! I wish the tables were bigger because I need all the space I can get with these dishes. I’ll post a couple below :-) Always worth coming here - either for a quick meal or sit down for a while to take everything in. 🫶🏻

Cozy Thai spot in the UES to have dinner with a friend. The food was shareable between the both of us. The service was great and prompt, however we they were a bit too eager to take our orders, and even our plates when we weren't done eating, making us feel rushed. And we met up on a weekday so I can only imagine how they are during peak service hours. The food was amazing, you really can't go wrong with Thai food. The Basil Fried Rice was perfectly made and how there is always a bit of a egg when you take a spoonful of rice. And the Kra-Pow puffs were so flaky and delicious even more so with the sweet dipping sauce.

I fell in love with this spot and I can't wait to be back. By far, some of the most colorful food I've seen. And it's not just looks. It tastes amazing too! Food is really filling, so it's dumb easy to over-order. If I were Thai, this would be my second home.

Great thai food, absolutely loved it! Had the tom kha with chicken which was better than I expected. For the main dishes I’ve had the spicy udon with chicken and asked for it to be spicier: it was super on point. The heat was there and the taste was delicious! Highly recommend it. We also had the red curry which was amazing too! The only thing that wasn’t extraordinary was the spring rolls: still good, just nothing special.

I got the braised short rib udon. It was OK, there was a strong herb taste to the gravy which was a little overpowering everything else so I couldn't quite appreciate the full flavor of the beef and udon noodles. It just tasted like everything had herb infused in it, like a strong parsley taste. Overall would come back to try other popular dishes. Some people say they do not allow changes but they asked us direct if we were fine with the dishes, one we asked for no tomatoes and it was fine.

I read this restaurant from Little Red Book. The patio has a great atmosphere and good for pictures. The servers are nice. I went there for lunch. Starting with Tom yum soup, it is ok but I prefer more lemongrass taste. The duck salad on the other hand is outstanding, I usually feels Thai food to be generally a little too sour for my taste, but the salad is right on point with the sauce and the duck is tender. As for the pineapple fried rice, it's more moist than I've had from other Thai restaurants, but in a good way. They put a lot of shrimps for the portion of rice. Definitely well worth the price. Overall a nice tasty lunch. Would come back again.
